The property location was safe and relatively walkable to thd D.C. convention center. My complaint is that for the whole week of my stay only one of two elevators were operational while the hotel was full to it's capacity. This resulted in delays going upstairs to my room from the lobby and coming downstairs from my room to the lobby.

There was an accident in front of the hotel which prohibited guests from valet parking and the hotel does not offer any other type of parking like a lot or street. It took me over an hour to finally have valet come to my car around the corner and park it for 60 dollars! This fee should have been waived

Beautiful property, very light and sunny room in a great location! Very friendly and accommodating staff. One caveat, there is a roof top bar that was active well into the night on Saturday night. Would recommend bringing this the attention oft guests when they arrive in case they would prefer a quieter room even if it compromises the view.

The property is clean and is in a great and walkable location; however, the biggest downside to this hotel is the rooftop social club, which causes the lobby area to become crowded in the evening as people have to line up inside the lobby as they wait to use the same elevators we use to access the rooms. I don’t recommend it if you’re looking for a quiet stay, although you don’t hear the music in the rooms.

While the hotel is beautiful I would not recommend this hotel for those looking to relax and enjoy a relaxing vacation. Hotel sells out rooftop lounge for private events and lack the ability to control large crowds. Hotel became so over crowded guest did not have access to elevators and were stuck using staff only areas to access their rooms. Unfortunately those same areas were locked from floors thus guest had to walk up and down multiple flight of stairs. Worse experience I have encountered in a hotel.

Modern hotel, good location. Party on the rooftop made the elevators totally unusable for atleast six hours. I saw an elderly lady wait over 30 minutes for an elevator but she couldn't take the emergency stairs due to her knees. As a guest you can't take the stairs up as an alternative because they're locked by access code. Over 50 people in line for hours to take the elevator. It's a shame that guests at the hotel can't get to their room, or out of the hotel due to a party on the rooftop. I would not stay here again.

Room was too small, lots of mold around the fridge, strong smell of weed by the door! We’ve had a relatively good experience at this hotel. Staff was a bit rude and unhelpful Not a family friendly setting!

Read all reviews and I think I agree, room was clean, staff was nice, but bed sheets were not changed all week! I could have probably called and asked them to do it, but I felt that should be part of their routine.. at least change them every 3-4 days!

My room was poorly cleaned. The towels had a woman monthly stains on them. The phone did not work and the AC unit did not cool. The sheets did not fit the bed and they had tons of stains.

Room was dirty. Sheets had stains, toilet didn’t flush, had to keep a plunger in the room that the staff kept in a Marriott bag that had feces stained in the bag. Staff was dismissive and rude to my concerns and even hung up the phone when expressing my concerns. Avoid this hotel.

Our room had gunk on the floor throughout the room. Not sure if it was from the previous stay or from the cleaners. If there are emergency vehicles driving by with sirens or noisy neighbors be prepared to hear everything. The parking situation didn’t seem clear. The AC Hotel website says LAZ Parking is available but it is $40, not reimbursed. You can also use valet for a ridiculous $60 at the hotel. Seems scammy.

Air conditioning wasn’t working as it should. It wasn’t hot but it had a hard time keeping the room cool and it got hot when it was only 74 outside but interior room couldn’t get to 70 degrees inside

We arrived early at AC Marriott Downtown and were told no rooms were available yet, which was understandable. We left our name to be notified when our room was ready, but we never received a text. When we returned at 3 PM, the King Corner room I had paid for was no longer available, and we were given a double queen room instead—not ideal, but we had no other choice. The room itself was okay, but there were a few issues. The TV was broken, and the shower had very low water pressure, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the rooftop social bar was really nice, with a great view! The location is also a plus, as it’s close to many attractions. Overall, the stay was fine, but the lack of communication and room mix-up left me disappointed. Would love to see better service in the future!

Our room faced an office building (a couple meters away) with very little light. None of the room descriptions mention that. It should be explicitly stated. Great if you'd like to see people working from your bed tho! Also there was some horribly loud noises outside every day around 7-8am (for about 5-10 minutes). Not sure what this was. Pillows had some dark marks on them.

Amazing location and a good option in DC, but there’s room to improve. We liked the room’s size, the comfy beds and the large bathroom, but there’s just a small closet — which is little space for two or three people. Also, during our night in the 4th of July there was a party, drunk people and discussions on the 9th floor up to 3am… even after complaints, nothing changed! In the following morning other guests were really mad about it.

I enjoyed the trip , hotel was nice. I definitely will not stay on the 13th floor again I didn’t really get any sleep until the club closed upstairs it was kinda loud and Saturday night was a busier night and the noise was louder. Other than that I enjoyed D.C.

Great option for the convention centre, being less than 5 mins walk away. Some nice eateries and a CVS also very conveniently close by. Had a corner room which was very comfortable, spacious, modern and surprisingly quiet. The floor to ceiling windows made it lovely and bright. Housekeeping was excellent as were any of the team I spoke with the reception desk. A colleague I was traveling with did try the breakfast and said they didn't feel it was worth the price however with decent options close by I'd recommend trying outside the hotel anyway (great bagels next door). A slight note of caution - Ciel on the penthouse level is a bar who are a separate business to the hotel but you have to enter via the hotel lobby and who use the hotel elevators to get up and down. It's great that it's popular however it did cause noise issues for travel companions on higher levels due to music/balcony noise. My own room was on the third floor and I also got some noise from party goers leaving via the hotel lobby and staying outside the hotel doors talking, shouting, etc as you do when leaving a bar. I'd stay again if I needed to visit town for a convention but would try for a room on a floor 5 through 8.

I booked this location to be close to the restaurant where I was hosting a business dinner. The hotel is nice, but the rooms are basic. There is construction work being done on the hotel so it was very noisy during the day and the hotel did not indicate this in their website. Front desk staff was ok. I had a box delivered with some of the materials I needed for the business dinner. One staff person checked briefly for it in the back the told me they didn’t have it, even after I showed her the delivery confirmation. She gave me the “oh well” shrug and tried to dismiss me. Thankfully another staff person took time to look for it and retrieved my item but it took about 15 minutes.

It is very rare for me to leave negative reviews, do not waste your money on this hotel! The check in staff and bar staff had no customer service to the point of being unpleasant. The electric blinds did not work in my room, so an engineer came to charge them, fair enough, these things happen. The cables however were never collected and left strewn about the room for a week instead of picking up the next morning as promised. The wifi didnt work and the receptionist had to log my phone into an alternative wifi, no biggie but another hassle, and finally an employee just walked into my room whilst I was changing, stating sorry I thought this was a checked out room, and was clearly just using the space to sit on his phone. This hotel is all style and no substance, the worst hotel experience I've had.

I ask the front deck if I could extend my stay a night. The gentleman helping me said yes. He asked if he should charge it to the same room. I said yes. This morning House Keeping was banging on my door. I went downstairs to get something and my card key wasn't working. The front desk said my room wasn't extended. That I would have to go online to extend the room and then go back downstairs. As a Marriott Bonvoy members... THIS is very frustrating.

Parking was a rip off and hospitality was lacking. They cut off access to communication with the front desk via hotel room phone. I tried to call to ask for my Doordash to be allowed to come up, and for a late checkout, and was met with a dead line. Check in was cold and unwelcoming. The white people checking in were offered champagne when they arrived but I, a non white person, was not. I gave the concierge a look, at which point they offered me some. Not going to call it racism, but it didn’t feel good. The pillows smelled bad. The shampoo smelled nice. That’s about the only positive thing I can say. Will not recommend and will not be back.

The hotel was very nice with tons of dining options in the immediate vicinity. It was very close to the national mall as well, it wasn’t even in walking distance. The neighborhood around it was slightly busy, and some parts were dirty, possibly due to all of the construction. The breakfast buffet was not worth $15.

Overall, it was a good stay. However, I was disappointed that the Terrace Bar closed early, so we didn’t get a chance to check it out. The rooms could also use better soundproofing, as we could hear people walking by outside. On the bright side, the lobby bartenders were fantastic—super attentive and skilled at making excellent drinks. Their service definitely stood out and made the experience more enjoyable.

Was a great place to stay in the heart of Washington DC. Lovely clean room etc. just wish they had a plug for the coffee and tea kettle nearby as we had to move it from its place and plug it in at the bathroom. Also was disappointed a great hotel like that didn’t have room service. Everything else was top notch.
