Great resort. Food was actually fantastic, even room service. Housekeeping and fridge restock was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, rooms and pools a little dated, but large and comfortable. Entertainment was great, hydrotherapy and seaside massage was incredible.

A lovely little slice of heaven. Very communicative, very clean, very relaxing, great drinks, awesome staff, beautiful beaches and sand, lots of daily activities and nightly entertainment if you want, massages on the beach, lots of dining options and all were very delicious! Their app is so user friendly and super handy. Lots of places to go for walks and the room was spacious and well-appointed. We stayed in the villa type area and our view was beautiful and private. This was our first time here - we talked to a handful of others who said this resort is the only one they come to now. Can't wait to go back!

A beautifully landscaped resort with multiple pools each with swim up bars, and numerous cabana beds both at the pools and the beach. Grounds are well kept and the resort is wonderfully relaxing. The "more Inclusive" was true - free airport transfers, all the food (less special wine orders) and drinks (top shelf included), the free mini bar fridge and room service too. However, the transportation services to Maroma beach (45 minutes away) are very early 7:00 AM with no second bus. We didn't want to spend 10 hours there and 2 bus rides so we didn't use it. We paid for Xel-Ha tickets and transport, but it was also at 7:00/7:30. Too long a day there for that, so we took a taxi both ways for 4 people ($50 up / $40 back). Service at the pools and cabanas was excellent. Staff was generally excellent. The main restaurant was so-so, food was just OK, trying to find coffee, cream and sugar is a challenge - waiting for the slow service there. (They had one coffee station in outdoor area, no cream/sugar, usually pot was empty, but the bar next to it made free lattas which were good, a little wait for that. Starbucks in lobby but a little pricey at about $8). The Mia Casa Italian was excellent, The Culinarium served chef specialties, a bit small on portion size (normal) but very very tasty / creative. Gourmet Pub was excellent. Relaxing at our pool cabana was the best, and adults only was very nice. Our plane was 2 hrs late, 11 PM, but Lomas was there to get us !!

Make sure you check with your concierge on your first day there to try and schedule dinners that require reservations and any excursions you may want to go on. Reservations book very quickly. All restaurants are closed daily from 230 to 4. We found out the hard way upon arrival and had to wait for room service. Room service is the only food that is available 24 seven. The beach barbecue is definitely one of our favorites for lunch. The alcohol was plentiful. The choices of vodka were great goose, kettle one, Smirnoff. No Tito’s. Several choices of bourbon as well. If you don’t like the drink, order something else ~it’s all inclusive!

First time at this resort , stayed for 2 weeks and it was amazing, loved every minute of it, beautiful grounds and well maintained. Stayed in a suite with ocean view, very nice beach and calm , staff are amazing and many restaurants to choose from and a shuttle service to take you to your dining options, we will certainly be back to this amazing resort .

The food at the la carte restaurants was excellent. Staff and grounds were amazing. Quieter resort. Perfectly suited for couples. Palm trees and thick vegetation around rooms and some pools made them very shaded. Bali beds along the beach were free to use and very comfortable. Sea was shallow so swimming not ideal. Bring a floatie to enjoy it.

What an amazing place! The grounds are immaculate, feels like walking around in a jungle! The food is absolutely incredible, make sure to check out the buffet on the suites side as well, incredible. The Asian restaurant was 11/10! The service at th pool bar next to the buffet in the palms side was so amazing! Didn't love the Vegan restaurant but the banana split was delicious! Highly recommend !

The area was beautiful and the service was fantastic. The pools and bars were all nice and taken care of. The beach kind of sucks. This is definitely a budget hotel. Faucets had mineral deposits all over them. Mini fridge was wobbly, I adjusted it. Mirror fixture in bathroom was loose, I tightened it. Light fixture near bed was loose, I tightened it. Glowing number on air conditioner would not turn off. Electrical outlet behind fridge looked burnt and was unusable. I had to rearrange how things were plugged in so we could even use the coffee maker. Outlet near bed was loose. Faucets and fixtures in the public bathrooms were loose. One of the toilets near the bar wouldn't flush, I fixed it. A public bathroom had 2 rolls of toilet paper jammed into the dispenser so neither one would roll and you couldn't get any toilet paper out. Almost all the food was mediocre. The only great place was the Italian place. The Asian restaurant couldn't make any of the cocktails on their menu. I was told about free stuff at the concierge, I turned down the presentation. I was called about the same thing 2 days later. I went down to the concierge and was told it was the same thing with the same presentation. The paper map and the online map both had multiple errors on locations and times of operation. I scheduled a trip on my own and my taxi was not allowed into the gates because it wasn't booked through Lomas. They told me no straight to my face.

Staff at this resort was very friendly and made activities enjoyable. There were lots of activities that were free to attend each day including crafts, games, and fitness. Food at the restaurants was delicious. Bracelets for the premium section were silly. They were cheaply made and broke frequently & the resort wanted to charge you $100 usd for replacements if lost. Thankfully they didn’t charge us for replacements when broken. Room service was very inconsistent. I ordered the same couple things repeatedly because I liked it the first time and it was never made the same way again. The room was nice but didn’t feel very clean due to stains all over the couches, tub, and bedding. Despite the bedding being changed daily, there were always stains. We also had a sticky ring on our table that stayed with us for most of the trip so I knew they weren’t wiping the table down. ALSO we provided a brand new, never used credit card as payment at the beginning of our trip. The next day we had fraudulent charges on our card when we hadn’t used it for anything else yet. No gas, no atm, NOTHING. Which left us with a sour taste off the bat. Overall the resort was decent. Beautiful beaches, good food, great people. Unfortunately the small things added up for us quickly and we probably won’t return.

The service for food and srinks was exceptionally slow. We were good tippers and still, took forever to gwt a refill of thr drink. The guy at the swim up bar in the premier section was peonably the worst. We ate lunch in that srction and my wife asked him for coke he said okay. We were done with our food and I asked again to see him speaking with a guy at the swim up and it was not even crowded. There were bugs in the room, so we got an upgrade tocour room whixh was really nice. We enjoyed that location. But I never experienced that before at all inclusives in Mexico. As nice as thr staff was, we waited too long. There was only one unfriendly staff member, and that was the guy at the swim up. Another couple said the same thing. The smell was also putrid. Glad we went to the other beach (Maroma beach) for a day. Wouldnt come back, as nice as the staff and grounds were. Also, food was mediocre. Going back to our other hotel we loved. Also, BEWARE: SHUTTLE ONLY TAKES YOU TO/FROM CANCUN. NOT TULUM. That was not advertised and we had an unexepected taxi charge of $85. It was orignally $120.00 in usd. The taxi service helped us out.

The rooms has a really big bug problem. Ants and other bugs all over the restroom. You can tell they are fully aware as every time they service the room they spray tons of bug spray all over the floor making it very slippery and unsafe. Not worth the bucks! The staff is very friendly until late at night because they don’t want to help then.

Beautiful and impeccable resort. Incredible staff, friendly and welcoming. Great beach, good food (variety and quality) and easy to walk around, with gorgeous views all around. Rooms and pools are a bit outdated, but are very clean. Great getaway for a mature adult crowd.

The area was beautiful and the service was fantastic. The pools and bars were all nice and taken care of. The beach kind of sucks. This is definitely a budget hotel. Faucets had mineral deposits all over them. Mini fridge was wobbly, I adjusted it. Mirror fixture in bathroom was loose, I tightened it. Light fixture near bed was loose, I tightened it. Glowing number on air conditioner would not turn off. Electrical outlet behind fridge looked burnt and was unusable. I had to rearrange how things were plugged in so we could even use the coffee maker. Outlet near bed was loose. Faucets and fixtures in the public bathrooms were loose. One of the toilets near the bar wouldn't flush, I fixed it. A public bathroom had 2 rolls of toilet paper jammed into the dispenser so neither one would roll and you couldn't get any toilet paper out. Almost all the food was mediocre. The only great place was the Italian place. The Asian restaurant couldn't make any of the cocktails on their menu. I was told about free stuff at the concierge, I turned down the presentation. I was called about the same thing 2 days later. I went down to the concierge and was told it was the same thing with the same presentation. I scheduled a trip on my own and my taxi was not allowed into the gates because it wasn't booked through Lomas. They told me no straight to my face.

Great resort. Food was actually fantastic, even room service. Housekeeping and fridge restock was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, rooms and pools a little dated, but large and comfortable. Entertainment was great, hydrotherapy and seaside massage was incredible.

The rooms were dated and the bed was worn out - even after having it replaced with another bed it still was not great. Food at the resort was okay but definitely not a 5 star resort.

We loved how quiet the property was during the day. It was very relaxing. We didnt care for our room in the premium suites...We had room 101 and the cart traffic from the road and the walkway behind the building was loud enough to wake us. Also the elevator traffic around 1 and 2am was very loud in that room. Aside from the room, I feel that we would visit again.

We stayed at the Palms. Great Restaurants, great bar tenders, great room service. The rooms were outdated but big. The walls are hollow, so you can hear everything at night. The staff drives golf carts past guests on the guest walk ways, so it's kind of annoying. This resort has a beach night club every night until midnight that can be heard on the entire resort. Good beach, Free beach chairs and beach beds. Great resort for the price!

My significant other, and I had a very nice time. Water was beautiful accommodations was beautiful and the service staff was excellent. Food was excellent and service. The only part of the trip I might not have liked was the room .It was a little old. It was a little musty when you first come into the room the size of the room is a very nice size . It wasn’t bad but it was good. Overall 0 to 10 I will give you a 7 1/2

We got the premium swim out suite and we were not happy with it at all. Our room only got 2 hours of sun and the pool was too cold to enjoy. Everything else about this resort is great. We will be back but later in the year and definitely a different room! They do not even try to honor room requests. Food and staff were excellent.

This was the 3rd time that we have stayed at this property and we absolutely LOVE IT!!! A HUGE SHOUTOUT to the Customer Service received prior to our arrival. We traveled with friends, and wanted to have rooms next to each other and located in a specific area of the resort and although they could not guarantee that our rooms would be in that specific location, we got what we wanted!!! Amazing staff throughout the entire resort and will definitely be back for the 4th time!! Thank you for an AMAZING week!!!

Half the staff tells you one thing and other tells you different. Spa staff will come around to try to sell you packages during breakfast, while laying out on beach and walking. Very obnoxious. The catamaran ride was great which was free. Maid staff never had a certain time- 7:30am, 8:30pm non stop. I ran back to room, didn’t hear women come in and I literally got scared thinking someone broke into room(husband was at bar). And everyday including the last 10 minutes waiting for cab, they continued to try to sell their memberships which is their version of time share.

Staff at this resort was very friendly and made activities enjoyable. There were lots of activities that were free to attend each day including crafts, games, and fitness. Food at the restaurants was delicious. Bracelets for the premium section were silly. They were cheaply made and broke frequently & the resort wanted to charge you $100 usd for replacements if lost. Thankfully they didn’t charge us for replacements when broken. Room service was very inconsistent. I ordered the same couple things repeatedly because I liked it the first time and it was never made the same way again. The room was nice but didn’t feel very clean due to stains all over the couches, tub, and bedding. Despite the bedding being changed daily, there were always stains. We also had a sticky ring on our table that stayed with us for most of the trip so I knew they weren’t wiping the table down. ALSO we provided a brand new, never used credit card as payment at the beginning of our trip. The next day we had fraudulent charges on our card when we hadn’t used it for anything else yet. No gas, no atm, NOTHING. Which left us with a sour taste off the bat. Overall the resort was decent. Beautiful beaches, good food, great people. Unfortunately the small things added up for us quickly and we probably won’t return.

The property was beautiful, the food was amazing. The staff was amazing other than the bartenders on palms side. They were miserable, rude on multiple occasions, at night at main bar often ignored woman wanting a drink this was not just me many of people were saying this too. It was disappointing. I got told no shots every night only tequila because they didn’t want to put in the work of making them as they were too busy. Ignored woman for long periods of time as we ordered more complicated drinks and they were too busy. But the rest of the staff was amazing. But I paid a lot of money for an all exclusive so not happy about that. Other resorts that I stayed at the bartenders were so fun and friendly and nice and happy to make us drinks

The service for food and srinks was exceptionally slow. We were good tippers and still, took forever to gwt a refill of thr drink. The guy at the swim up bar in the premier section was peonably the worst. We ate lunch in that srction and my wife asked him for coke he said okay. We were done with our food and I asked again to see him speaking with a guy at the swim up and it was not even crowded. There were bugs in the room, so we got an upgrade tocour room whixh was really nice. We enjoyed that location. But I never experienced that before at all inclusives in Mexico. As nice as thr staff was, we waited too long. There was only one unfriendly staff member, and that was the guy at the swim up. Another couple said the same thing. The smell was also putrid. Glad we went to the other beach (Maroma beach) for a day. Wouldnt come back, as nice as the staff and grounds were. Also, food was mediocre. Going back to our other hotel we loved. Also, BEWARE: SHUTTLE ONLY TAKES YOU TO/FROM CANCUN. NOT TULUM. That was not advertised and we had an unexepected taxi charge of $85. It was orignally $120.00 in usd. The taxi service helped us out.

First of all, Humberto in guest services was AMAZING! He was always there to take us to wherever we needed to go and so happy and friendly. Everyone was sooooo friendly. The resort is somewhat spread out but once you find out where everything is it gets better and they have several golf carts to take you where ever you need to go. The night activities were great! We did have a mishap with Lomas travel which is where we booked excursions through and they were less than helpful but the resort staff was trying everything they could to rectify the issue. Eating at Klay Talay is a must!! They do have a lot of wildlife but they do not bother you! Overall it was a great experience and would highly recommend. The resort cat, Patches, was the icing on the cake!

I absolutely adored it here! The staff was amazing, so nice and respectful to me as I travelled alone. They made my birthday incredibly special and really put in so much effort to keep the resort pretty and clean. It was our first time in Mexico and our stay at El Dorado Seaside Palms was perfect! We were surprised first by an incredible upgrade to a premium suite since the trip was for celebrating my partner's birthday. But the pleasant surprises did not end there - everyone was incredibly friendly and kind; the beach was beautiful and the grounds were well maintained; the food was great quality especially for an all-inclusive resort; they did not cheap out on drinks at all, no watery cocktails made with cheap liqueur; there were all kinds of cool wildlife we saw on the grounds (watch out for the super cute coatis that climb up coconut trees, iguanas, frigate birds, pelicans and grackles); entertainments were appropriately fun and chill (beach volleyball, foam party and mexican night!); the room itself was also well maintained and furnished; the more inclusive package was also amazing, with our excursion to Aktun Chen making the holiday extra memorable. Special shout outs to Angel, Axel, Cinthia, Fernando, Gabriella, Isai, Luisa and Lucio for giving us an unforgettable experience. Everyone here goes above and beyond. You are all phenomenal, and your hard work and kindness do not go unnoticed. One potential downside is that it is a drive away from Cancun airport (close to 1.5-2hrs ride with the shared transportation making stops) but in my opinion, it's well worth the extra time and distance.

This property was very clean and well manicured. There is lots to do on the resort but we found that it was difficult to know about these activities. The confusing part was the food. We found it difficult to find food consistently as either there were extremely long waitlists for the restaurants or they were closed. One night the seaside buffet and Mediterranean restaurants were both closed. I think it is important to keep in mind that you are between Tulum and Playa Del Carmen so you need to take cabs (20-30min) to get to the towns and explore if thats what you’re into. Lastly the resort really caters to the preferences of their visitors, namely music and food! There was no Mexican music and the food was hit or miss. Additionally there are not as many parties and dancing like other resorts, again if that’s what you’re into. Overall very nice resort, would recommend if you just want to lay on a beach, drink and eat

The staff at the El Dorado are amazing. Everyone is so nice and helpful. They really go the extra mile for all of the guests not just the VIPs. There is a lot of seaweed in July, but they did their best to set up a seaweed free beach.

The property is gorgeous, but the beach was full of seaweed and rocks, and the food was okay. Since the beach is my priority, I probably won't stay again.
The property is gorgeous, but the beach was full of seaweed and rocks, and the food was okay. Since the beach is my priority, I probably won't stay again.

the hotel was beautiful, lots of amenities and the beach is stunning. We had some great encounters with staff but also some not so great ones. We received complaints for being on our swim out balcony and talking or playing music, although it wasn’t communicated that there weee restrictions on this and we weren’t able to make noise after 11pm. We had guests from above throw water bottles that hit my friend in the face and could have been extremely damaging. Our last night they only had a dinner reservation at 930pm at one place even though most were totally empty. When we arrived they told us we had to order immediately since the kitchen was closing. We couldn’t even get drinks as they said the bar closed. It was a bit of a disappointment being so rushed, and you could tell the staff was upset with us and wanted us to leave right away. It really ruined the experience for us. For room service we could get 4 glasses of champagne at a time but bottles they charged for which just seemed silly, since we had to wait so long for room service. The pools were gorgeous but did not play music, and staff and other guests were upset with us for having fun or making too much noise. It’s certainly more of a relaxing resort, but not ideal for friends having fun and laughing. There were a lot of instances where we “got in trouble” when we were just trying to enjoy ourselves. It was very off putting for us. So to people wanting a resort experience with fun, not the place for you.

Enjoyed our quick stay here. Felt safe the whole time. Wonderful staff. Did not end up doing the cenote excursion. Pools were relaxing but kind of crowded since the beach was full of sargassum. The hotel did a good job of trying to clean up the beach as much as possible and we were able to enjoy the water on our last day. Would go back.

The people who work there are very friendly. The property is beautiful. Pools, beach and food are just a short walk away, or get a ride on a golf cart if you dont want to walk. Lots of pretty bird's and some lizards and small creatures. They said the beach was full of seaweed but ai didnt think it was bad, just normalnfor the ocean.

The resort is overall very nice however the food was disappointing, even to the point of feeling ill. The food was a hit or miss in terms of taste and the deserts where below average. I'd recommend staying away from any raw seafood from personal experience. Also skip out on the Italian and Japanese restaurants, they are not worth waiting for a reservation.

Great resort. Food was actually fantastic, even room service. Housekeeping and fridge restock was excellent. Friendly staff, beautiful grounds, rooms and pools a little dated, but large and comfortable. Entertainment was great, hydrotherapy and seaside massage was incredible.

The staff were very friendly and the resort was beautiful and very clean. However I do have dietary restrictions (no gluten) and while they do have indicators the food is limited for dietary restrictions and the server’s knowledge about restrictions vastly varied from restaurant to restaurant. If you have no dietary restrictions this resort is wonderful. Not a huge party scene and is great for relaxing. If you have dietary restrictions I may not recommend this resort.

Amazing options for those with food allergies! I have celiac disease and the amount of gluten free options, knowledgeable/trained staff and all of the proper cross contamination protocols made for an incredible experience I haven't had before!

Beautiful resort with lots to do. Many different restaurants. Make sure you check with your concierge on your first day there to try and schedule dinners that require reservations and any excursions you may want to go on. Reservations book very quickly. All restaurants are closed daily from 230 to 4. We found out the hard way upon arrival and had to wait for room service. Room service is the only food that is available 24 seven. The beach barbecue is definitely one of our favorites for lunch. The alcohol was plentiful. The choices of vodka were great goose, kettle one, Smirnoff. No Tito’s. Several choices of bourbon as well. If you don’t like the drink, order something else ~it’s all inclusive!

The staff was very nice. The grounds around the resort were beautiful, the buildings did show some age. The restaurants need attention we traveled with a group and had issues every time we attempted to go eat. We had very long wait times getting tables average time was 2-3 hours regardless of the time. Overall the staff was excellent I appreciated the fact they understood the importance of GREAT service.

Easy to find the transportation from the airport and the transfer was smooth; Food was absolutely awesome in every spot!; Great drinks; delightful & gracious staff; terrific music at The Guayacamas (sp?) Bar in the evening was a fun way to end each day... Will definitely be back!

What an amazing place! The grounds are immaculate, feels like walking around in a jungle! The food is absolutely incredible, make sure to check out the buffet on the suites side as well, incredible. The Asian restaurant was 11/10! The service at th pool bar next to the buffet in the palms side was so amazing! Didn't love the Vegan restaurant but the banana split was delicious! Highly recommend !

The resort is gorgeous and the staff are amazing. The food was good, not as many choices due to low season but well made. The beach was inundated with seaweed, but workers worked tirelessly to remove it and make it usable for guests.

The property was absolutely beautiful. I wish I would have known to not come in June when the sea weed is so bad. It left a terrible odor and you could not approach the beach. Swimming pools thankfully were clean and odor free and access to the bars were great. I am still stunned that a tube of neosporin which cost $5 in America costs $60 on the resort !!! Breakfast at the seaside market was fantastic. Lunch and dinner not so much. We had to order room service after each meal because none of us could find anything that was satisfying or fulfilling for us. We had an excursion planned one morning which cost us $189 per couple, hours before we were set to leave we got really sick which we think was food poisoning from sushi they would not allow us to cancel or refund our money.. instead they said if we paid $140 per person to see the on site dr they would cancel and refund. Ridiculous. There was NO trying to help us. The beach stunk, no enjoying the beach , and a lost bracelet that supposedly cost $100 that we had to pay left a sour taste in my mouth. I truly felt like I was looked at as a person they could try to get money from instead of a “‘you have paid all this money already, let me help you as best as I can!” Our hot tub didn’t work, was fixed finally 2 days later, window in bathroom was broken and stayed open and our telephone did not work. I will hopefully find a resort that makes me feel valued and will make me want to return every year. This place is not for me.
