This property is perfect especially off-season as it is very close to town, gives you room in the unit, is across the street from the beach, and is very quiet and affordable. There is a kitchen so you can cook if you want to and they give you a coffee maker to use but no coffee like a hotel does. No hair dryer, either, so bring one if its cool out! I have not been to this property during pool season so I cannot say anything about that but for beach access this is a great spot although not on the beach. I would have liked a little broom in the room to sweep up the sand after a beach walk but none available. I think this is a perfect spot for Montauk getaways! !

The hotels in this area have been around for a very long time. They have that weathered look. This hotel had what we were looking for. No frills and clean. We had a one bedroom, with an open dining /living room and galley kitchen. The kitchen came equipped with coffee maker, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and stove. The location was great one block from the ocean, one block to the center of town. Take the LIRR taxi over and you don’t need a car for a weekend getway. Enjoy!

I was misled by the name of the property by including "by the Sea". I expected I can see the ocean from the room, but it was not. However, it is a very short walk to the beach. Room condition is OK overall. But appliances are very outdated. The TV does not have HDMI port as an example.

The room was a little dated. But it served our purpose. The bedroom was a nice size and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was a nice size also and very clean. The grounds are well maintained with plenty of parking. They also have a Bbq grill and a picnic table. Look forward to going back. Plus it’s across from the Ocean and a close walk to the town.

I had a terrible experience. This hotel was filled with teenagers with many people to each room and very loud. The room was dark and dingy cleanliness was adequate. I did not stay.

We stayed in Montauk for one night so we could attend the Metallica concert at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett. It was the perfect distance away! The room itself was nothing special, but it was clean & had everything we needed and they even let us in a bit early so we could get to the concert on time! Thank you for that!

I am giving three stars, but it is actually two and a half. The check-in is remote. We have received the text that the room is ready and headed to the hotel. When we arrived we found the room not cleaned after the last stay: full trash, bed sheets unchanged, dirty towels in the bathroom. We found cleaning lady on the property who kept on saying that check-in is at 3pm. There is no management on the property most of the day. The room was fine overall. Some furniture needs maintenance: there was a lot of stains on the couch and the mattress springs were worn. TV in the bedroom is unwatchable and needs replacement. There is a fridge and stove in the unit. The was a heat in the room and it was working well.

Room was good but air conditioner was so loud couldnt use it TV in bedroom and lamps didn’t work but the noise from upstairs was the worst loud music stomping yelling screaming till late at night was awful my 8 yr old grandson couldn’t sleep

Room was exactly as shown in the pictures. Worked well for our family of four. The pull-out couch bed could be better but we didn't have high expectations for that. Overall unit was spacious and suited us well for the trip. Loved being close to the stores and right across from the beach. Good value.

Spacious and clean. Great for the price though you can hear everything in adjoining units, the connecting doors are very thin and have no sound proofing. Great location and check in and check out was a breeze.

lets change the beds in the studio guys please they creek like crazy and since its a studio we have to have air conditioning in the living room we are running a summer spot it does get hot this is a sleep 4 unit.

I enjoyed the stay at this location. It was very spacious and clean. Perfect location for walking to restaurants or shops in town and even the beach! The only complain would be the bed was not comfortable but besides this issue everything was fine!

Clean hotel. Some rooms have a small kitchen to cook others do not. I had a connecting room and I heard the entire conversation in the next room. So next time I will request a non connecting room. The AC is in the bedroom and hopefully the air travels to the living room. They need to place a fan near the bathroom so that the cool air travels to the living room. The beach is across the street which is perfect.

Had a great stay here . Staff was friendly and check in and out was a breeze . Was very clean and comfortable. Only complaint was I couldn’t get a hot shower . Otherwise place is excellent. Shops , restaurants and bars are all a short walk .

No staff at checkin, property vacant, door wouldn't lock, 3 interior doors not secure and open to outsiders, toilet dirty needed flushing, 1 heater not working in bedroom, lamp damaged, no way to contact anyone for help, hung up on by mgmt 4 times. Not able so stay had to leave due to safety non communication concerns. REQUESTING A FULL REFUND PLEASE

We checked in after 4 so no staff on duty to assist when toilet didn’t work and bedroom blinds would not work so no privacy. Tried calling, texting, and emailing property management to help but no response. Had to get another room at the Montauk Manor which was beautiful and staff were helpful and got us a room right away when there heard we were in a jam. So paid for a room we could not use at the Montauk Oceanside suites.

Perfect for a short stay. Very warm, clean and comfortable. Very close to shops and beach. Check in and check out was super easy. Only critique would be that the walls were thin and you could very easily hear the conversation of the guests in the room next door.

I didn’t realize the property was mobile check-in and that all communication would be automated in the winter season. if you guys had that more clear on the Expedia it would be awesome. Otherwise the stay was great, clean room, no hassle to get in, right by the beach.
