The Greenland's was a good hub for us. Good shower, well priced drinks, good pints of Guinness and Coors. Was some minor cosmetic damage to the wall of bedroom but would definitely recommend to stay here. Great Location, Great Showers, Great Staff and Great Pints.

I had a one night stay as a staging post on a business trip. Very friendly team. Do not expect luxury. Youll get a very clean room with an adequately comfortable bed. The place is a busy pub. They have bands on and functions. It suited my purposes as a place to kip after a couple of well priced beers in the bar while watching the rugby. All at a budget friendly price too.

It was a very basic, but clean room. Great, free parking with ease of access to car, good areas to smoke. The room was a good distance from the bar, else we would probably have heard some noise from the loud music and socialising youths. The only other issue was ours and other rooms' smoke alarms kept going off loud just as we went to bed then we overheard that someone was working on a fault - but it didnt last long. The remote for the TV was missing. Overall its what youd expect from a popular town pub inn at a reasonable cost. We eventually had a good quiet and comfy sleep and just went on our way the next morning.

The accommodation was adequate and commensurate at the price level. The room was very clean and all the necessary equipment catered for. Two negatives however, The promised Wifi facility never materialised. Secondly, the place is primarily an entertainment venue so the noise levels were too high, added to the railway line passing through the back made sleeping very difficult. it was not until 01.30am that one could sleep. Advice to anyone planning on staying here, perhaps best to avoid the weekend.

Room was dirty and the furniture was torn and tatty (stool in the room), paint peeling off the wall. Extremely noisy corridor with other guest running up and down screaming and shouting and even fighting. Paper thin walls, you could literally hear the people talking in the rooms adjacent. Rooms right above the entrance where people go for a smoke, mostly drunken, very load and abusive language (not that it bothered me but the family rooms are also above this area). Very dirty throughout the whole place with a horrendous smell throughout. We didn’t stay for breakfast as we thought well if the rest of the place is that bad we just didn’t fancy it. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with dirty cups and no spoons to stir with. Overall extremely disappointed but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for. Was extremely cheap at £42 for two adults for the night.

I genuinely never stayed in a hotel like this. Firstly when you walk in, the smell is overwhelming, this would explain why all Fire doors were open on a very cold night The room itself was very basic and was absolutely freezing cold! The electric heater was off, and nobody has provided any instructions on how to turn it on. Luckily the chef was walking by and she kindly helped us... The toilet was not flushed, there was wee in there still which was absolutely disgusting!! Pillows = pancakes. They have definitely seen better days The shower needs a deep clean as well, we avoided using it. No remote for the TV At the point of check-in, we have asked about late checkout. The lady advised we should be ok to stay till 11:30ish as they are not busy the following day, however... 10:15 am someone was pulling on a handle and banging on the door. (not a gentle knock, not a polite excuse me, but a loud voice shouting that checkout was at 10 am! My friend had to open the door and explain what was agreed for us the day before - absolutely bonkers! The night before during the event we attended, whilst buying drinks we asked for one single and one double measure of the spirits we were buying. This is when the girl serving us was consulting a more senior staff member at the till and was told to put the single drink as a double. Luckily my friend overheard it and pointed it out. I wonder how many people overpaid for their drinks by that point. £81 for this is ridiculous!

There were no pillow cases on the pillows. I solved this by putting the pillows under the sheet. No working batteries in the TV remote which I was hoping to use to combat the noise from the Bar/club. Walls are in terrible shape from previous guests abusing the property

Great location for us passing through the midlands between shows. Very reasonable price and check in was friendly and quick with ample parking. One pillow missing and no toilet roll but both things sorted very quickly. Comfy beds, big TV. No drink making facilities

The quad room served a purpose, but will never be staying here again and I recommend others stay unless you like to party till nearly 1 am, there is no respect for the people staying at this place. Loud music playing till just after 12, the sound proofing doors were left open so you could hear the music perfectly not ideal when i had worked all day, driven 3 hours to get to the hotel... No coffee and tea provided not even a kettle in the room, only 1 very thin pillow on each bed, not sure how anyone could sleep on a pillow that is only 2inches thick. The bathroom well thats another story, toilet seat not bolted down so moved all the time, the wood on the fromt of the shower tray was pushed in, barley enough toilet roll to last 4 people 2 days. We opened the window to let in some fresh air, and instantly had to close it as the window opens onto the bins for the entire place and it stunk. All in all thr worse hotel i have stayed in i got more from a hotel that i payed 40 for the room for the night that was a 1/4 of the size of the quad room.

hotel room was too hot, our window opened to bins, they placed us in the room next to the fire exit in use for an 18th birthday party with rowdy guests stopping our children from sleeping despite knowing we were a family booking. I asked for another room immediately when checking in but none was available. Music was loud and guests were singing at the top of their voices in the corridor right outside our room. They were using the fire exit as their main entrance and exit. When I asked the manager for help at 10.30pm she then locked the fire door saying this might help, but we then had drunken guests banging against the door repeatedly confused as to why it was no longer opening. This totally ruined our weekend as none of us slept and my partner's back was sore from uncomfy beds. The manager wasn't on site when we checked out a day early, so I called that afternoon and she seemed understanding, asking us to request a refund via hotels.com however we have just been informed that they have actually rejected the refund saying they just don't offer refunds on non-cancellation bookings. This shocked us as we didn't simply choose to cancel ahead of time - it was so horrendous that we had to leave! I wouldn't want to damage a small business' reputation but we tried the proper channels just to be lied to and left out of pocket.

Good room, clean and fit for purpose. Great location near train station. Did not sleep well at all the first evening due to incredibly loud function on site, doors from function room were propped open and unmanned, meaning we heard noise, shouting, swearing and running. Did not finish until 12.30. No one monitoring people using the fire doors right by our room which were also open and used as a cut through. Had been told event would be over by 11.30. Rude party goers.

Room was ok, big notice in the room saying quiet after 10pm, shame that didn't apply to the DJ in the bar bellow, or the function room, or the people fighting out front. Check in was poor. Check out was impossible.

Staff were excellent and so friendly. Nice atmosphere in the pub. Great value for breakfast. The accommodation was great value and a brilliant location next to the train station. I read the reviews before I booked. I'm struggling to understand some complaints, e.g., no tea/coffee, no TV remote, one bin, etc. I had no issue as it was simple to ask for the remote control (they may have reasons not to leave them in the room). There was tea/coffee in the room. I moved one bin to the room from the bathroom!

They weren't very welcoming to me when I first checked in. The room was okay, but there was no toilet paper and the WiFi that the young lady gave me, was wrong and didn't even exist. Anyway, I have photos as proof of that. I am not very sure if I'll pay to come here again, maybe only in an emergency situation.

Very friendly staff, always willing to help and advise. Room perfectly serviceable, thogh could have done with a bin and a spoon for tea/coffee. The bar lively and friendly.

There is a big car park at the rear of the pub, the greenlands inn is its self spacious, the room was on the small side, but for what we paid we got a bargain. The room was clean and tidy, lovely towls laid out on the bed along with a small tube of shower gel and soap on both sets of towels and again in the bathroom. The staff were fantastic, and very helpful. It was an easy check in and out. If we are ever in the area again we would go back there. Thank you to all staff and customers for making us feel welcome🙂

Horrible experience waited more then 10 minutes just to receive my card for my room also they had forgot to give me the pin for the back door soo as i went out for a night out i came back i was locked out for nearly 4 hours in the freezing cold it was also raining heavy

We got stuck in traffic so arrived much later than expected, a staff member waited the extra 1 hour 30 minutes till we got here, i was travelling with a young child. I was so very grateful for that because it was very late at night. Sadly the bed was not the most comfortable and we couldn't connect to the wifi. But the fact that the staff member stayed to check us in, way outways any cons there were.

Enjoyable overnight stay.. One comment though.. Plug sockets hanging off the wall. We tried to report it, reception told us to report it in the morning. We did that, lady didn't seem interested.

Good location, nearly train station. Good price. Until 11pm much was very loud, because the bar is on the ground floor. The room was clean and nice. The rubbish bid didn’t in the room

The accommodation was adequate and commensurate at the price level. The room was very clean and all the necessary equipment catered for. Two negatives however, The promised Wifi facility never materialised. Secondly, the place is primarily an entertainment venue so the noise levels were too high, added to the railway line passing through the back made sleeping very difficult. it was not until 01.30am that one could sleep. Advice to anyone planning on staying here, perhaps best to avoid the weekend.

Felt it was very welcoming and clean. Large outdoor parking with plenty of space. Not very clean looking from the outside so bad first impressions and a lot of noise from the car park (ie music/shouting) after midnight but can’t be helped sometimes so not too bad.

A good, clean budget hotel that provided a comfortable couple of night’s accommodation that is very conveniently located opposite the station. There is no restaurant but we ate well locally about a 5 minutes walk away. Would benefit from some hooks in the bathroom.

The room and bathroom was functional and clean, and the beds comfortable. The Expedia site stated that tea and coffee making facilities were present and breakfast was available. Neither was available.

The Greenland's was a good hub for us. Good shower, well priced drinks, good pints of Guinness and Coors. Was some minor cosmetic damage to the wall of bedroom but would definitely recommend to stay here. Great Location, Great Showers, Great Staff and Great Pints.

I had a one night stay as a staging post on a business trip. Very friendly team. Do not expect luxury. Youll get a very clean room with an adequately comfortable bed. The place is a busy pub. They have bands on and functions. It suited my purposes as a place to kip after a couple of well priced beers in the bar while watching the rugby. All at a budget friendly price too.

Great location for us passing through the midlands between shows. Very reasonable price and check in was friendly and quick with ample parking. One pillow missing and no toilet roll but both things sorted very quickly. Comfy beds, big TV. No drink making facilities

The bed was so soft and felt like you were going to roll off, with one flat soft pillow. The food was so bad we had a refund. The lady who checked us in was lovely so not her fault. It’s the worse place I’ve ever stayed in.

Plenty of parking Staff very helpful I was looking for a clean room to spend the night. This is exactly what I was given. There was a kettle and plenty of branded tea and coffee (Nescafé and Tetley tea) Yes, a bit of wallpaper could do with some maintenance and there were a couple of scuffs on the wall from bags etc, but I received a clean, large room with an excellent en-suite bathroom. I’m not really sure what else you expect for the price ?

Budget rooms, a little akin to a hostel. Car park covered in broken glass. Rooms and corridors smell of stale smoke masked with air freshener. Bedding was clean and comfortable, but chewing gum stuck to windowsill and picture hanging off wall. Blind broken (husband fixed so could pull down). Holes in walls and poorly fitting doors. People from bar using corridor for getting to car park and fire doors left open. I’m not even mentioning factors outside of the accommodations control such as noise and heat.
