What a great, little-known secret hotel. Don't judge by the lack of curb appeal. The rooms are great, large, open, full kitchen and even tea kettles. Real coffee cups and silverware and plates. I would absolutely stay here again.

The location and hotel itself were great. I appreciate an urban hotel that blends into the community so well. Having a kitchen was great, especially one so well appointed. I just wish the AC worked better. Would definitely return.

meh. water so hard it was impossible to wash off soap. baggage carts were broken. everything in the room was "just a little off" -- there's no luggage rack for my suitcase, electrical plug is 10 feet from the table (yeah, I know, first world problems.) The dispensers in the shower were "hand soap", "body wash" and "conditioner". No shampoo? I could never convince the cleaning staff that if they took a bin liner they should leave a bin liner, so after a week I had to go the the H-E-B next door to pick up a package of bin liners. The halls are wide but the cleaning carts used by the cleaning staff are almost as wide as the cart. I had to live my suitcase over the cart to get to my room. There's no laundry for people not staying in suites. I stayed here in a suite last week and there was a laundry machine in the room. I made the mistake of not doing my laundry over the weekend at the home2 'cause I thought a hotel as seemingly nice as this would have a guest laundry. No dice. I asked at the front desk and they directed me to the laund-o-mat next door, but they're cash only and I only have a card while travelling. Wi-Fi is pretty hit-or-miss. Parking is an extra $30 per day, which I guess is fine. I just wish they would have mentioned it when I made the reservation and had the option of putting it on the corporate card. A mystery $200 charge was applied to my co-worker's card after the $50 incidental charge. It will be interesting to see if any of them are refunded

The hotel was lovely, unique decor, beautiful common areas (library, lobby, coffee shop). It seems though that the photos were from multiple properties seeing that some of the spaces photographed were not taken in the Austin location where we stayed. Room was just as it was in the photographs, well appointed and lovely. Make sure to notice that there is a $40. Charge for parking. That was a surprise to us! Not really sure why there is a resort fee. Would recommend staying here, just be ready for these charges. Central location. Shops, restaurants and shopping nearby.
