Check-in went smoothly and the hotel and room were clean. They also offer free breakfast and parking was free as well. Also, prime location for walking.

I liked the quick check-in and convenient location near the interstate. I disliked the limited food options; lukewarm temperature water in bathroom sink and shower; only having a shared microwave located in the lobby; room was not sanitized (remote control had black smudges after we used our sani-wipes).

The customer service I received here was immaculate!! I’d just booked a room a hour before arriving and my room was ready and clean. The staff were so friendly and helpful, the only downside is they don’t have pool.

Rooms lacked cups and microwaves. 24 hour coffee is good. Bed was very comfortable with great pillows. Haven’t received my receipt by email yet.

The building was clean and smelled pleasant throughout. Our room was clean and comfortable, kids loved the stay. We did wish there was a microwave in the room instead of having to go down 3 floors to the lobby to heat up food but not that big of a deal. Parking was easy and the hotel is in a good part of town. Definitely convenient to the arena we were going to without being in the city itself. Would definitely stay here again!

Hotel was very clean, parking was close to the building, and the staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly... I've booked another stay with Avid.

The room worked for what i needed for. My big barker bed for my dog fit in the long size bed room. She had a spinal tap. The room has comcast, a mini fridge. The cons: the room could have been cleaned better. There’s dirt left over in the corners. I had asked for my body wash to be refilled but the guy at the front desk didn’t let house keeping know. The desk and chair in my room were previously damaged. For a 5 year olhotel it does show more signs of wear.

Room was fine. Hotel is fine. The bathroom was not clean. Hair all over the shower, it was gross. Cleaning and rinsing throughout the shower was not done.

I liked the hotel. It’s sort of European in style. Rather than a closet it had hooks which I thought were great. Like many hotels now, they may have been short of cleaning staff or at least we’ll trained ones. But the room itself was very clean.

The hotel was not very clean, for being only 4 years old it should be in much better shape.

Decent hotel for the price! Small room but that was fine. Only negative was the bathroom light is motion activated so it’s super bright at night.

My only personal comment is that I’d prefer not to have a motion-detecting light switch that activates when you enter the bathroom in the middle of the night.

It was very nice that the breakfast was set out before 6:30 for the early risers. Much appreciated!! Air conditioning and fan were very loud, hard to sleep.

Location was ideal for us, room was very clean, well-furnished with pillows & towels, room lighting was helpfully placed. I appreciated that the floor was not carpeted, rather it was of stylish, non-slip textured planking and was spotless. Bathroom was well-lit, roomy, and that floor was tiled. It had a walk-in shower. Decor in the room was attractive and efficient. The room included a large-screen tv, an iron, ironing board, & hair dryer. Our room was not large, but was just right for a couple, as it would be for singles & business people. Staff was friendly & very pleasant, and they made a point to welcome our little dog. The hotel provides complimentary wifi and a good layout for breakfast. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit the Twin Cities.

The Avid decor is fun, bright, minimalist and the rooms are spacious. We had a walk-in shower that was excellent. On the downside, there is no way to fully silence the heat/ac. Even when turned off it still buzzes. Also the matress on the bed was worn out and uncomfortable.

Great hotel! Bed was very comfortable and room was very clean. Perfect room, if you're not spending a lot of time in it, which we weren't. The rooms are a bit on the smaller side. Great coffee/tea and breakfast options! Only drawback is that there is no carpet to absorb sound from the room above you. Overall a great place.

The hotel’s check in system was down, and they didn’t even do anything to compensate for the trouble.

Aside from the original desk worker that I met in the morning upon arrival who was rude, the rest was good. He however acted as though he did not want to be there and was not accommodating to my requests. He was also argumentative and refused to check me in so so could change for work I was in town for.

Check in was great. Joseph was friendly talkative and attentive. Got to the room. Toilet didn’t work so had to go back downstairs for a room change. New room was clean but no body wash in bottle. No big deal but inconvenient when you are already in the shower. Overall quiet atmosphere free parking, free coffee, hot chocolate yea downstairs lobby.

“Worst hotel experience ever!” proclaimed my well-traveled teenage kids at multiple points during our one-night stay at this hotel. A sign in the lobby proudly announces “no one’s done it like this before” and they’re absolutely right. We checked in and were given keys to an occupied room. Amazing… never experienced that anywhere I’ve stayed in 40 countries around the world. Four stars to the super helpful and apologetic front desk guy who after several attempts with the computer system was able to get us a room that didn’t already have someone in it. Unfortunately that room had barely enough space to turn around in, broken light switches (lights stayed on all night) and an air conditioning unit that belched superheated air when the wall thermostat was set to 66 degrees and even when set to “off.” We briefly considered using the hotel-provided steam iron to cool the room (since things seemed to the opposite of what they were supposed to do) but it didn’t work either. By the time we checked out the room had heated to a balmy 82 degrees according to the thermostat. Meanwhile the hallway was 65 degrees. We’d have slept with the door open if it were physically possible. Couldn’t call the front desk because the phone didn’t work. When I mentioned to the new front desk attendant that “nothing in the room worked” I received only a blank stare. The included breakfast is what appeared to be roadkill re-branded as Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and microwaved to death.

Breakfast was fantastic, comfortable showers. Very nice room

The hotel is a clean, somewhat inexpensive option. The room was small, but included an iron and small fridge. Towels were changed daily. Staffing seemed a bit bare boned and not overly friendly. While the breakfast option included name brand breakfast sandwiches, a nice change of pace from normal hotel "free breakfast", there was no unflavored coffee creamer available and the fresh fruit often looked anything but.

Clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was a disaster. No coffee, very minimal offerings of food, brown bananas, and had to ask for breakfast sandwiches to be made, which were then cold inside. This was my second stay at this location. Breakfast during my first stay 3 months prior, was great and very much the opposite of this review. It went downhill greatly in that short amount of time, which is sad. Not sure if I’ll consider it for a third stay the next time I’m in the area.

Vents need cleaning, also bath vent seems to be to small or not working, beds are to soft, but they had a good breakfast

Breakfast was mediocre...old fruit, nothing for toast[bread!] cereal was flavored sugared except for oatmeal. Hot water machine sometimes worked. clock in room missing lights so a 6 or 8 was a guess.
