Nice hotel with good facilities-room was great breakfast was good. The parking was a let down- the parking provided is across the road and down a laneway. The First Parking facility is pretty crap- very narrow and and difficult to fit a standard car in the spaces without fearing damage.

I think this could be the best place I have ever stayed. From the friendly staff on arrival, great coffee to the comfortable room. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. We even got to sit in the sauna to warm up after going to the footy. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to stay here again.

The stay was fantastic with premium features and good room decor. The only negative points were the view from the room and the parking. Even though we stayed at the 10th floor, and the view of the Parliament building was good, however, just outside what you look at are the mobile towers. The biggest disadvantage was the parking. We were told to self park our car to save on the parking charges. However, we end up paying almost the same amount as the parking resets at 4 AM. So someone parking the car late at 10 PM and checking out at 10 AM in the morning, will be paying for two days. When you have such a big hotel and are charging such a price, it is advisable that you offer valet parking at subsidised cost instead of charging $75 per day.

Rooms were nice clean and new. Breakfast poor, ordered food never turned up. Asked for a wake up call never happened. Pool booked out for wedding event so never got to use it on a 39 degree day 😂

This is what the former Metro and The Palace niteclub was turned into. There is no trace of what it used to be except for the facade. All the heritage features are gone as is the Marble staircase (although there is marble in the foyer that's possibly from the former staricase) Hotel wise it is a fantastic hotel. Modern, clean, excellent staff, excellent coffee and room service. The roof top pool is amazing. Valet parking is available at the hotel but we foind it just as easy to park across the road for $30 for 24 hours.

Very well located at the top of Bourke street. Very friendly and professional staff, spotlessly clean and new hotel. Lovely breakfast and glass of sparkling upon arrival. Tram stop right outside the door, with lots of bars, restaurants and shopping all around. Loved our 2 day city break. We will most definitely be back!!

Very convenient position for shopping and MCG. Suited family well. Very clean. We had a double, double room .Bath and shower area top notch. Long mirror great but if not in that bathroom, lighting dull so hard to put makeup on. Pool surprisingly warm for an outside pool in winter, make sure you pop your bathers in. Staff particularly friendly, we were offered a drink on arrival which was lovely. All up, great value for money. Late check out suited us well. 👏👏👏

It felt like no one was in charge through out our stay. From our check-in which was a 1-star experience. Barely acknowledged at check in, didn’t ask our name, just waited silently for our ID, we stayed for 7 nights, and were placed next to the lift, we requested to me moved further away, then was woken up at 5.30 every morning by staff emptying glass into the bins in the alley. No acknowledgment of a 7 day stay, yes we are Bonvoy members, no staff greeting as we entered and left the hotel each day, in fact it is as though most of the staff go out of the way to avoid making eye contact. The cleaners forgot to replace bath mats regularly through our stay and always left the toilet seat up after cleaning which is gross. The saving grace is the fact the rooms are well appointed and modern and clean. In 7 days we spent not $1 at the hotel as they seemed not be in the hospitality business so I assumed it would be so average. No staff managing the driveway so transport has to stop traffic in Bourke St as they allow anyone to clog the driveway. The bed was way too hard for me but others would like it I am sure. The pool area, could be nice, but it was messy and no one was cleaning up. Would not be back.

Our overnight stay was wonderful. Perfect location!!!!! The deluxe room was a good size and very comfortable. It was clean and new. Loved the shower and the quality toiletries. Great variety breakfast as well and a nice glass of rosé on arrival. The only thing I would have preferred was a room with a view of the city instead of the neighbouring wall (although it was a pretty mosaic), so on my next stay I would book a room with a view.

Nice hotel in great spot for walking to many of Melbourne's attractions. Vast and varied food options within easy walking distance. The Deluxe room we stayed for 2 nights was well appointed and the bathroom was very well put together and we liked having a rain shower option. Only downside was room a little small when compared to rooms we have stayed at in Sofitel and Grand Hyatt. But would be happy to return to Le Meridien on our next Melbourne visit.

We had a lovely stay here. Firstly, the service was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. The hotel is beautifully decorated with new furnishings. The gym and pool are incredible, even though the weather was cold, we did have a dip and the pool is heated! We did find the room way too hot though and found it hard to change the thermostat to cooler. The beds are also very firm. Heads up that there is a very very noisy bar 2 doors down that plays music very loudly until 5am 4 nights a week. Our sleep wasn’t great on the Friday and Saturday night due to this. If we were to stay again, I would request a higher floor (we were on 3) or the opposite side of the hotel.

It was a nice hotel but beds were extremely hard. Being on the 4th floor also made for a lot of noise outside most of the night, I think the higher floors maybe better. Check in nice and easy and very friendly staff. The hotel was also nice and clean but the are outside it very dirty and not so nice but that would lie with the city not the hotel.

The hotel held 2x the cost for our 4 nights stay as our deposit. After checkout, they also emailed to ask if we took something from the hotel bar. When I emailed back that we didn't, they replied to apologize that they already charged us and will refund us back. You have to check your bill to make sure you aren't over charged

Absolutely delightful property at the top end of town which suited our needs perfectly as everywhere we had to be was quite close to the property . Breakfast was substantial with great variety but the temperature of the hot foods could have been a little higher. Was also able to get eggs made to order . Room was spacious and extremely clean , the only criticism for us was the mattress was extremely firm but everyone others might be ok with that. It was my wife’s 60th birthday and the hotel , on two occasions surprised her, once with a gift delivered to the room and then again at breakfast the following morning . Would definitely stay again

Girls night out with my young daughter and they gave ys free ice cream upon check in from an ice cream bar on site. Room was lovely, pool was warm and breakfast buffet delicious with things I've never seen before at a buffet like make you're own juice station with plenty of fresh ingredients.

Room was very nice. Beds were comfortable and the daily service to tidy room was on point. Pool and sauna were nice and the gym was decent. The food at the cafe downstairs was terrible. Frozen reheated lasagne that was still cold in the centre. Took over 30-minutes to arrive. Buffet breakfast is very basic and probably more worth heading to a local cafe for the same price.
