Beautiful hotel adjacent to the Winspear Opera House. Fantastic staff and quality restaurant on site. Parking is valet only and $45/day but it’s quick, efficient and reasonable for the duration of any stay. The rooftop pool is a nice area to relax. Highly recommended!

Really enjoyed my overnight stay. Thank you for the Suite upgrade. The suite was amazing and stylish. Took a peek at the rooftop pool, looking forward to taking a dip on my next stay. Great lobby bar and grill. Couldn't have been more pleased with my visit. See you on my next visit to Dallas. CK

Front staff provided very poor guidance on how to park my car. Got trapped in a locked building above the parking basement until a security guard came to let me out. Guard said this happens all the time. Almost missed my event due to this.

Located in the arts district, it is a perfect hotel for people who love all the artistic events that Dallas could offer. We could just walk to the performing arts, the Dallas Museum of Art, and so on. While September is a low key month to see such performances, we loved staying in this fine hotel. It has a rather small roof top pool that I loved too. They need to get a better restaurant on the property. We, however, walked around the area to find good restaurants that were better than satisfactory. We will stay here on our next visit, but that will be during the season of opera, dance, theater and such.

Unfortunately, for the expense of the hotel there were just a lot of details missing. Both mirrors were dirty in our room which leaves you questioning everything else that was “clean” there are no lights in the hotel room aside from lamps so if you get in late prepare to see nothing. Also, this one is for the girlies—no full length mirror. Also, not wheelchair accessible from the car garage side if you do not choose valet.

I’m so disappointed with this hotel… this is a 5 star hotel? It felt so unmanaged, single ply toilet paper, hairs everywhere, not bringing up our luggage, bits of mold on the shower trimming, the safe vault was not functional in the room, 1 working elevator.. awful

The housekeeping service was not good- Day two, they didn’t clean the room until 3:30pm Day three we came back to the room at 5pm and it had not been touched- absolutely unacceptable Beware

Beautiful Hotel however parking was confusing and valet was not welcoming. The tv in our room didn’t work and there was hair and hair ties in the closet and bathroom. Merissa, who check us in was the nicest person we had interaction with at the hotel.

My room was upgraded to a suite for free. While the room was beautiful, nothing worked properly. The iPad for hotel service was broken, the phone was also not working. Room service had to be contacted from my personal cell phone. Hotel was contacted upon leaving the room for the day to pick up Dishes. Dishes sat all day and would still be in the room when i returned

There are no light switches by the bed in the room. To shut off the lights by the bed or behind the bed - you have to get out of bed and walk to the front door. I walked into furniture at night. the Staff said they are aware that some rooms to not have light switches except for the main switch which is ALL ON or ALL OFF. Really terrible and dangerous oversight for an expensive hotel like this. It is also illegal

The hotel and the area was great! However, the tv and phone did not work at the room! They tried to fix it but did not work! Even though the manager offered to change rooms, a bottle of wine or pay for the room, it was very inconvenient! We took the credit! Appreciated the gesture, but you do not expect to deal with that situation in a hotel like this one!!

The room was comfortable. The view was spectacular! The hotel sent us complimentary sparkling water and cookies for my husband’s birthday! It was a very nice touch! I would highly recommend this hotel!

Property was fine, much better in the area. A couple of issues: a/c didn’t work well. It was miserable in the room in the Texas heat. Beds were not very comfortable. Typical for a lower end property, not for at this level. Some of the lights in the room didn’t work. I had to get up from the bed to turn off the main light. There was a lot of noise coming from outside the hotel. It sounded like I was right under a loud bar. If you want go to sleep before 1am, I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Best bathroom! Two vanities with lighted mirrors plus a makeup mirror. The ceiling to floor windows add romantic views at night. The staff was amazing!

Staff on duty was not good for poolside service waited hours on food order and drinks were already watered down then I was charged for drinks that were not on my room. While front desk staff would throw Hilton points my way my credit card did not get charged the correct amount. Frustration is an understatement

This was by far the worst stay I have ever experienced. I called and requested an early check in and I was assured we could check in at 1pm. Who knew that would actually turn into a 6pm?! What happened? Let’s see, got assigned a room that was a complete mess as the previous guest had just left it. Then was told to wait they’d make it right. We were then assigned another room and upon scanning my room key to get in, I walked in on another couples very personal moment. They were mortified and I was speechless. Then, more apologies, and assigned to another room and guess what, another dirty room as house keeping had just started cleaning it. We finally got into a room at 6pm. The trip was a TOTAL disaster. Most of the staff were trying to be as helpful and accommodating as they could given the situation but Scott was the nastiest, most dismissive, and unnecessarily rude employee I came across during my already terrible stay.

Staff is not what it use to be! Rooms are good! Dining refused us breakfast because we were 1 minute late! The air didn’t work the first night but they did give us our money back! We have always stayed here and this stay was as a 2 out of 5 overall! This hopefully was a fluke staff issue! It took them 30 minutes to get our car out of valet after we gave them our ticket before we ate thinking it would be ready for us, but because they were all just hanging out outside chatting they forget to bring the car around! Lots of slacking for a 5 star hotel! Over all I have had wonderful stays in the past! I did ask what was going on and they did say that they had new owners so this could be a bad sign for future!

The hotel resides in the middle of the Dallas Arts District very near the Opera, Symphony, Performace Arts Center, Museum of Art and Nasher Sculpture Gardens. The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are spacious with ceiling-to-floor windows offering views of Downtown Dallas. There are many great restaurants adjecent to the hotel or a short walk away in the UpTown District.

I enjoyed my stay at Hall Art. The staff members were very pleasant. The facilities were clean and decorated nicely. The artwork around the common areas were all interesting pieces and perfectly selected for each space. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. Spacious bathrooms were a plus for me, providing double sinks and a nice sized shower. Extra points to the hotel for providing a beauty stool in the bathroom. There was live music nightly in the restaurant. The drinks were goodand the food just ok. The only thing missing from this hotel is a convenient store. There needs to be at least a small store for quick items. Especially since there wasn't a store option within the immediate vicinity. Overall I had a great stay and plan on returning!

There’s a lot to recommend this hotel, but also a few red flags. The good: The building itself is very nice and the art in and around the hotel is engaging. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal if you are in Dallas for arts-related activities. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the comforter is the fluffiest I’ve come across in any hotel and it breathes well. Ellie’s is a good in-hotel restaurant; the hamburger is excellent. And for some pleasant reason, the antechamber between the hotel lobby and the street smells like a really good steak. The bad: The price is high. The floor-to-ceiling windows, while creating an enjoyable view, are not thick enough and let in way, way too much street noise that repeatedly woke us up. (The tiny testes brigade of Ferrari and Lamborghini drivers racing along Ross Street and planes flying overhead don't help.) The one time we ordered room service, it was terrible—no butter, salt or pepper and by the time we called and they brought it up our eggs were cold an undesirable; they substituted plain white toast for the thick Texas toast sourdough we’d ordered and had in the restaurant because they were out without telling us (and didn’t include butter or jam); and the coffee cake was more like an uncooked square of pancake dough. So we ended up paying $60 for a breakfast that was basically inedible. Overall: I’m glad we stayed there and would probably do so again, but some details need to be smoothed out.

It was good, however there were certain issues:- a. They provided iron which left indelible stains on my two shirts, to which they offered a $100 discount, however, it was learnt that they had this happened to another customer but still they hadn’t changed the iron. b. While booking, It was mentioned that breakfast is complimentary, however, they did charge it.

Great stay for a birthday. Stacy was great at check-in, the Chelsey and the breakfast staff at Ellie’s were friendly and attentive, and Angel, McKinley and Frankie went the extra mile at check-out.
