The check in was great.Room seemed ok well equiped,patio would not lock.They sent maintenace up, he was in room when we came from pool.Could not be fixed we were fine with it.Then had shower and smelled like septic.They finally moved us to new room on floor above bit of a hassle since we had diner reso.New room could have been cleaned a little better.Night table and floor sticky,bed wrinkled,(hope it was clean).Pool is not only for adults was full of kids even though there is kids pool.Pool was cloudy lots of floaties needed cleaning,cushion all stained around deck.Walk to pool not bad there was a shuttle if needed.Golf was great,grounds are amazing.If your looking for quiet relaxation maybe avoid.Many families.Double beds in rooms,comforters too small.Food at restaurant overpriced and not fantastic.

Fabulous resort in a very beautiful setting surrounded by a challenging and immaculate golf course. Well equipped modern condo with full kitchen and washer and dryer. Balcony (with patio furniture) overlooks 18th hole of the golf course. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Jonathan at front desk was especially helpful in checking us is in, giving us information on the resort and booking dinner reservations at the Cliffside restaurant. The only improvement needed is for the pools to be cleaner. Also, bottom of both pools needs fresh paint as there is a lot of scuffing which detracts from the aesthetic. Overall, highly recommend this resort for golf enthusiasts.

Excellent property. Modern, clean and pet friendly for our little fur baby too. Beautiful surroundings also. We are very picky about choosing hotel accommodations and Muskoka Bay Resort did not disappoint. Will definitely be returning.

Hotel suite was very nice and clean and quiet. Only thing dishwasher was not emptied from previous guest. Also we booked a sauna and when we went for our booked time there was no one there providing direction or keeping wood going. Was not that hot. Also we were told there were robes as t the change room/lockers but no one there and no robes. Dinner at cliffside was delicious and nice atmosphere. Nice to be able to walk there from the hotel. Overall lovely time just think needs a bit more care with the extras even off season.

I am very disappointed with my stay at Muskoka Bay Resort. Upon arrival, my husband and I went to the pool and set our things at 2 sun beds and started to relax. A guest came up to us and accused us of taking her beds that she saved with towels, shoes and sunscreen. We advised her that when we got there, there was nothing on the chairs and they were clear. A staff member then came to us and asked if we saw anything and we said we did not. They went on to figure it out with the manager and apparently a manager had cleaned up the whole area earlier. No staff apologized to us and the guest had the audacity to return and comment to us that it must be nice to sleep in and take peoples chairs. Very rude and we were very uncomfortable the rest of the day. Furthermore, we stayed in a 1 bedroom loft that was given to us quite dirty - crumbs on the counter, in the fridge, and the walls in the bathroom were splattered with something. When I checked out the lady didn’t even ask me how my stay was. The only good thing I have to say is that there was a nice girl working at the outdoor bar - she was lovely. The sun bed cushions are very dirty and full of mould. Very disappointing!

For a very expensive, tiny minimalist room, we didn’t get our room cleaned until we asked to get it done TWICE! There was no option for breakfast given the supposed quality of the resort. Instead the property had a restaurant that had breakfast available however the service was very slow and expensive.

This ‘resort’ is far from complete. Common area is nice, however rooms weren’t clean, dirty/marked up walls, no shower amenities or hand soap. My wife and I checked out a day early given besides golf and a pool lounge (weather did not cooperate) there is really not much to do. Disappointed in our stay and the resort overall.

This was the second time we stayed at Muskoka bay resort. We liked the fact that the 2 bedroom suite we stayed in was more like an apartment then a hotel room and had a full kitchen, washer and dryer, dishwasher , very spacious, very clean and was cozy and relaxing. We will definitely stay there again and we have recommended Muskoka bay resort to our friends and family.

This is a 3 star hotel located on a 5 star golf resort. The hotel itself is almost brand new but you can certainly tell the owner cut corners in the construction process. Very cheap finishes throughout. Pros: has kitchenette, dishwasher, in-suite laundry. Staff were friendly. Beautiful golf amenities, pool, gym. Cons: No storage for clothes, there is a closet with 4 hangers, no dressers/drawers. The night stands are tiny and cheap. TV sits in a little console table, hotel was too cheap to buy an actual dresser. Walls have cheap paint and already full of scuffs and dents. Must drive into town for anything, unless you want to walk 45 min. Cliffside restaurant at the clubhouse is nice, but very overpriced for the quality of food.

We brought our 4 granddaughters with us, and the villa was absolutely beautiful. We loved the shuttle from the villa to the pool (very prompt and extremely friendly gentlemen) Our first night stay was relaxing and very nice. However, the same cannot be said for our second night as we had a wedding party next door who were loud and incredibly disrespectful. My husband had to go banging on their door at 4 am which was very upsetting. Needless to say, our littles were not happy or rested the next day (none of us were)

The Hotel Suite room is not great quality for what you pay. Scuff marks all over the walls, no dresser or drawers, only 1 night stand. Our first room had a broken window and we had to be moved. The Lofts are much nicer.

Pros: Our suite was a 2 bed/2 bath condo unit, equipped with a full kitchen with stove, oven, dish washer, fridge and freezer. Views of the golf course are pretty. Easy parking and check-in/out. There’s a nice lounger and dining table on the balcony. Cons: We were unable to get an early check in time or use the pool because it rained after 4pm. We didn’t try the restaurant–there’s nothing vegan on the menu. AC makes a lot of noise. The mattresses are very firm and pillows are not comfortable–bring your own pillows for real!

It’s a golf resort if that’s what you are going to do it’s a gem,the rooms are expensive their is no restaurant in the building at $450 + a night I ask for a couple bottles of water I was told their was a vending machine in the basement. There is an air exchange on the balcony which is beautiful but you have to listen that and it’s loud enough. The shower you have to reach in and crank the water on try not to get blasted with cold water then wait for warm up. The toilet paper is about the same grade as a gas station, just thought for that kinda money there would have been more attention to detail.saving Pennie’s to lose dollars.

Resort is very basic. Went for our 40th anniversary. They messed up our dinner reservation. Room was not as advertised .. much smaller and very very basic. Pics on site are deceiving. Small pool jam packed with people. Front desk staff were rude and condescending. I booked everything and pre-paid the room on Hotels.com website. On checkout they gave me a bill showing all I owed was restaurant charge, which I paid. Days later I get my cc statement and they charged my card for room stay. Have had over 6 phone calls with different people there, all but one very rude and arr

The rooms were gorgeous and the view was stunning. Restaurant was tasty. The shuttle service was super handy with the rain and he was incredibly friendly. I found the front staff abit cold but they seemed to warm up by checkout. Golf course is incredible. The construction next door was abit annoying but it’ll all be so beautiful when it is complete !

Customer service at the front desk of the hotel is pitiful. If I could have cancelled and been refunded I would have done so while checking. The saving grace is the staff at the restaurant on site. Shoutout to Clara for providing exceptional service at dinner. When we choose a resort to stay at moving forward we will stick to Taboo.

The property is lovely, we had a great meal at Cliffside with a great view on the patio. The one thing that kept me from giving excellent rating was checkout. I stood at the desk to hand in my key about 09:00 Thursday morning and I felt ignored as the desk agent gabbed with a man who did not appear to be a guest as judged by the conversation. I wanted to tell the agent how great the place was as they usually ask as you leave. I left my key without saying anything. I was not impressed. Neither of those people acknowledged me and could have said”l will be right with you.” Otherwise great place for a mini vacation like we had.

The hotel itself is new, clean, and well-maintained. The amenities are also nice and clean. However, the staff isn’t very knowledgeable—we asked about nearby trails and the pool\'s water temperature, but they couldn’t provide this information. The biggest concern is the noise and some of the guests. Our neighbors next door spent the entire night on the balcony, yelling and laughing. They even took the "Do Not Disturb" sign from our door 2 times and put it on theirs. I realized this because I had written our room number on the back of the sign, so that’s how we found out who did it—and they did it twice! Overall, we didn’t enjoy the atmosphere. I\'ve never encountered so many rude, ill-mannered people in one place before. Maybe we were just "lucky" this time...

Resort is located in a nice neighborhood. Free shuttle was provided to us to town and local restaurants. The resort and the room were neat and clean. Our room was size of a decent one bedroom condo with a kitchen and full set of utensils.

We had THE best weekend away at Muskoka Bay Resort! The service & staff were incredible. The villas were spacious, clean & the beds are comfy. The Cliffside restaurant was amazing (the prime rib was delicious) and the shuttle service around the resort was excellent! Thank you Muskoka Bay for the best bachelorette! Highly recommend!

Checking in was fun and easy, love the front desk staff. There was a little hair in my bath which grossed me out because I was running a bath for my daughter. Where is the valet service though? I loved the in-room washer and dryer, that was awesome. With the construction going on next to the hotel part, everything on the balcony was covered in dust and needs to be cleaned. The lounge chair was cheap and uncomfortable, same with the sofa inside. The one thing I wish they had was room-service for food and drinks. My overall stay was fun and care free and the staff are super nice! Thank you :)

Beautiful golf course, pool and clubhouse gym are fantastic! The one critic I would have is that the Cliffside restaurant needs more options. The restaurant provides poolside food and drink options, and in terms of choices for vegetarians there isn’t a lot. For some reason our room was skipped by house keeping so that was a little disappointing but that may be a one off mistake. Otherwise fantastic property we visit every year! If you like golf it’s a must visit.
