The Chillhouse Canggu by BVR Bali Holiday Rentals

This place has a lot of potential, but it's really not maintained very well. The first thing you see when you walk in is an extremely dirty pool that looks like it hasn't been cleaned in months. Like the water is green and there's a film over the surface of the water. Luckily the pool in the back of the property is clean and well maintained, but the lawn chairs next to the pool were very dirty and not in a state to be able to use them. The walkways, patio, and outdoor shower also seemed like they don't get swept very often, and the tables and chairs outside were also dirty. Everything indoor was clean and looked like it's pictures One important thing to note that I didn't see any other reviews mention, is that even though the room I booked said it was a queen size bed, it was two twin size mattresses pushed together. The edges of each bed were hard and uncomfortable, plus the mattresses separated easily so there was always a gap, and you couldn't lay in the "middle" which was annoying for us as a couple who like to cuddle when we sleep. We ended up just sleeping together on one side, but it wasn't comfortable. All in all it was cheap so it's not that big of a deal, but it was a bit disappointing. I feel like a lot of the reviews I read were misleading, so I wanted to leave one that was more accurate. The property is beautiful and staff were friendly, and if it was taken care of better, this could be a really great place to stay

Lovely staff lovely room pool was awesome Easily could give more stars if they did up the pool areas a bit but it was as pictured. Little bit of a walk to main areas but not far and close to shop for supplies Good coffee at cafe onsite
