Two Night Stay Review – Dome Valley Hotel I stayed here for two nights and the experience was honestly disappointing. The cleaning lady was very kind, but the rooms themselves need serious updates. My air conditioner was extremely old and barely working. The bathroom blow dryer was dirty and packed with dust, so it couldn’t even be used safely. The towel situation was also frustrating. When I asked for fresh towels, the person delivering them waited at my door expecting me to hand over the used ones immediately, which felt uncomfortable. It also became clear that there aren’t enough towels available because even after speaking with the cleaning lady, I still had to call downstairs again just to get replacements. The pillows were smelly and worn out which didn’t help with sleep quality. The pool area was another letdown. The space was so poorly lit it felt almost dark. The outside door was broken which allowed freezing cold air to rush in, and since it was around minus ten degrees outside, the whole pool area felt unpleasant. The surfaces around the pool were practically frozen, making it impossible to enjoy or even safely use the space. Overall, while the cleaning staff were friendly, the hotel itself needs major improvements. Between the outdated rooms, lack of supplies, poor maintenance, and unusable pool area, I wouldn’t stay again unless they make significant upgrades.

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I had to switch rooms three times and every single one was disgusting. The first two reeked of mold, and the third was just as filthy. There were stains splattered on the walls, cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, ripped and dusty bathroom finishings, and even black marks on the sheets. Nothing about this place is clean or properly maintained. I checked in, saw the state of the rooms, and left within 2 hours. Save yourself the stress and stay far away from this property.

There was no breakfast that I know of, the balcony looked at lots of other balconies and you can't smoke even though it's outside, the cleanliness I have pictures it was not clean, staff was really nice other guests were amazing location was neutral, overall it wasn't horrible but it could have been better. A hotel is a home away from home I would definitely not keep my home like that.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at in my entire life. Our first room was barely habitable with human oil and substance on the walls, and it didn’t look like it was vacuumed in a decade. When I alerted the front desk of the problem, they “upgraded me” to a deluxe room. This room had blood stains on the mattress, indicating history of bedbugs or something worse. I absolutely did not feel comfortable staying here and requested a refund, but they would not refund me my stay that night, but they refunded me the next two nights that I had booked. When I parked my car in the underground parking and followed the signs for the hotel lobby, the door to get to the lobby had a broken off knob so I couldn't even get in. I had to walk up a couple more flights of stairs and walk around the outdoor pool to get to the back end of the lobby. I left the hotel to find a more habitable hotel. Don’t stay here, even if your life depended on it.

Based on the reviews of this hotel, I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel shows its age, but the room was clean and spacious, and the bed was quite comfortable. No problems with the plumbing, and the blackout curtains were extremely effective. As some others have noted, there are no privacy curtains, and the room is quite dark with the drapes closed, but our room faced the back of the property, looking out into gorgeous fall foliage, so privacy wasn’t an issue. The climate control unit was loud, and we did find the room to be quite warm, but given the outside temperature, we were able to turn off the fan completely and we were very comfortable. Staff were all lovely. A special thank you to the server in the lobby bar, who kindly lent us some glasses so we could enjoy a cold beer in our room watching the Blue Jays win game 1 of the World Series.

The room was in great conditions. Staffs are always friendly and super helpful. The WiFi in my room kept going in and out every 5 minutes. I told the front desk but they didn’t do anything about it. That was beyond frustrating. I had my credit card on file to hold the reservation and they kept trying to charge my card without my PERMISSION! That did not sit well with me. Overall, they are pretty fantastic. This was my second time staying there. When I return back to Toronto, I’m staying there again

We thought this hotel could use some updating. In our room the one bed squeaked when you moved in it, our nightstand table lamp switch didn't work, the bathtub did not have a stopper (this was replaced when we notified front desk), all the faucet fixtures were very stiff, some of the wallpaper was lifting off walls,etc. Perhaps it is time to remodel the rooms? Location was good. Within walking distance was a very nice nature walking path, Tim Hortons and convenience store.

The manager on duty was not pleasant during our check-in on 13 Nov evening. He replied to our concerns on the availability of drinking water and hot water rather rudely, telling us to purchase the bottled water. No smiles on his face, kept a straught face and made us felt un-welcome. The room facilities were bare minimum and the house keeping was not well done and shower gel or coffee were not replenished on different days during our 4- night stay. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Had a wonderful stay because of the friendly service from the staff. I was greeted warmly at check-in. I had a minor problem with the room upon entry I called front desk and they immediately helped me out and switched rooms giving me an upgrade for the trouble. I went to the restaurant that evening to watch Jays game and both bartenders were very friendly and attentive. I went in for a beer but ended up staying for dinner. The housekeeping service was incredible too. I ended up getting a bad head cold and stayed a second night. Housekeeping gave me extra Kleenex and made sure I had enough blankets and said to me if I needed anything else they were just in the hall. I was amazed. Receiving genuine friendly service these days is rare and I had great service from every staff member I encountered. The room rates are budget friendly but the service is 5 star luxury hotel level

I was assigned room 356 upon my check in and when Iattended my room to my surprised I walked in on a woman in bed that was already assigned this room. I attended the front desk and complained to the staff. I was assigned a new room however no apology or compensation was offered for the unacceptable error. There was a manager present however he offered no compensation after being informed by the staff of the dituation. Unbelievable poor customer service

I found this property worked well for my needs. It is 15 minutes east of Eglinton Subway station by car. Set up your getaway to Toronto and park in the Eglinton & Yonge area for the day. TTC downtown and back, pick up your car & head over to the hotel. Spend 30 or 35 minutes on the transit system wherever is is you are going downtown. Use the $350.00+ you save on accom expenses staying downtown, for for all the rest of your trip costs. This place has a great salt water pool area under a big glass dome & a wet steam room, was an added bonus. I've always been A-OK in a clean 3 star. This property fits that bill. I know I'll be back. Friendly front desk staff & a good variety of eats in the Wynford / Don Mills Road area. The low-key vibe here was just what I needed for a weekend getaway. 👍

We stayed at this hotel because it is located close to the downtown core. The photo of the Deluxe Room- two queen beds that is shown on Expedia is a false representation of what the room actually looks like. The room is clean and well-stocked; however, it is dated. The housekeeping staff are very kind and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again.

The last room that I stayed in was in good condition. My dining experience was horrible. The first time was good but after that we walked out twice because the hostess behind the bar was rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional when we went to have dinner. Room was clean, beds a little firm. I called front desk to see if room service was available- they transferred me to the kitchen where i waited on hold for ten whole minutes before someone picked up just to tell me they weren’t currently offering room service. We were just looking to get a quick bite before leaving for an event so we ended up not being able to eat before leaving. Good for short term stays- you get what you pay for.

The breakfast was very good however I believe you need more staff to over customers during this busy time! There seemed to be only 2 wait staff on the floor covering a range of duties and they performed their duties really well but it seemed unfair to them they had to cover so many duties.

Room was minimally appointed and might be improved if theTV was larger and a mirror was mounted either above the desk or in the entry area. One of the bathroom sinks drained poorly. Breakfast fell short of expectations: the coffee was not fresh, no blueberries on the French toast and the avocado toast did not come with pesto sauce although expected from the menu. Otherwise the stay was comfortable. So we might return.

Amazing stay... Front staff were incredible, PROFESSIONAL, had a great sense of humor. We checked in 40 minutes early with zero issues. On site restaurant had good food at reasonable price. The only slight issue was the wait staff who seemed to be a little dismissive and didn't not smile- rather were in a hurry to get rid of us. I brought this issue up with the manager and he was going to have a word with them. We were impressed that he listened and cared about the entire experience. We had an issue getting inside the room, but the extremely friendly head of housekeeping addressed it asap. This hotel IS our go to spot when we visit Toronto (this is our 3rd time staying there). It is close enough the downtown. Highly recommend. Hotel price may not be the cheapest but well worth the knowledge of professional, clean hotel.
