For a small motel this is a great stopping point on your travels. Clean and quiet, the only thing you need to be aware of is you must arrive before 9pm as there are no staff on duty after that time. The motel is right next to a family restaurant, a sandwich restaurant and a gas station and from the property- or with a 5min drive to La Pointe - you can see the most incredible sunsets. It is also right next to the highway (you will need to drive through the town though either on the way in or out depending on your destination, but there is an excellent French pastry shop along the way).

It was a nice clean room. Its attatched to a St.Huberts & is only staffed until 1030 but they called to let us know that ahead of time. There was no microwave but there was coffee & a fridge. New bathroom. Looks like a typical motel but there is a locked door that opens into a hallway from outside & then a locked door to your room which felt safe. Quiet. Comfortable bed. Easy to get to off the highway.

Our go to one night stay on our way home to New Brunswick. Right off the highway, has a St Hubert’s restaurant attached so we don’t even need a coat to get dinner. Always clean. Motel so can open windows and not shared air with the other units. Parking in front of the door. Amazing value $125 compared to the other hotel in town over $200/night! Always stay here multiple times a year.

This little motel is a gem. Our rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. So great having the restaurant right next door, and a gas station too. We stayed one night driving back to Ontario. Would definitely stay here again.

Room.was very small, layout was bad, air conditioner vents would not adjust, nad lighting and smelt musty/bad. Paint was chipped, pictures were missing (nails left in the wall) window would not open.

I had trepidations about what we might encounter upon entering property. (I had been severely disappointed with another room we had booked earlier on same trip with a major hotel chain) I was very pleasantly surprised with Motel Cartier. The room was completely remodeled, comfortable and spotless!!! Oh and quiet. We never heard a thing during our stay. I would highly recommend the Hotel Cartier to anyone looking for a comfortable stay.

Clean motel with very comfortable beds. We stayed in a room furthest from the office and the water temperature and water pressure were both not great. A/C unit was never able to get the room cool and ran continuously in its efforts to try.

We stayed one night enroute to driving home to Toronto. We stayed in Room 26. The room was very tight with a queen size bed, tiny night tables, a small wardrobe, a desk with lamp, a tiny fridge with coffee machine, a couple of chairs. PROS: The bathroom was small but updated and functional, both rain head and shower head with great water pressure, walk in shower. Best part was the St. Hubert restaurant attached directly to the motel - you don't even have to go outside - just walk down an inside corridor to the restaurant. CONS: The motel was old and could do with an update, the mattress was old and could be changed to a firmer "hotel" collection. In summary the price $175 was not worth the comforts one would expect (no breakfast). Thanks

Very clean room. It is on the small side but it has everything you need for a good night sleep. They renovated so bathroom is very clesn and modern. The only thing is that a/c box is not sealed so cold air comes thru.

le gérant est venu résoudre le problème en changeant le décodeur mais 3 heures après notre arrivée parce que le personnel du resto et du motel est le même et il est très occupé de 5 à 8 pour le souper. mais quand on paie 368,90 pour 2 chambres , on veut 2 t.v qui fonctionnent dès notre arrivée! Le gérant nous aurait remboursé une chambre et on se serait déplacés (4 adultes ) dans une seule chambre (2 lits doubles) le gérant était donc de bonne foi. Ce ne fut pas nécessaire mais apprécié.

We arrived to book in and found a note on the door saying reception was closed but our key and information was next door at shell station. Shell was closed as well. Had to find another place to stay after driving fir 14 hours.

Parfait pour une nuit entre notre destination final passé Ste-Anne-des-monts. Seul bémol, pas évident l'accueil entre les clients qui attendent leur place au St-Hubert et la demoiselle qui prend les commandes et accueille les clients du Motel, surtout à l'heure du souper. Mais le sourire était présent malgre l'achalandage 💗

The motel is clean and simple with outside entrances. Centrally located and very close to La Pointe - a park area to view the most incredible sunsets. Staff have called both times we have stayed there to confirm arrival time - it is nice to have a personal confirmation.

Inside was comfortable and clean though the outside was noisy with fast noisy car traffic right out front. The gas station was just the front and side and also generated large truck noise. It was interesting!

We had a great stay at Motel Cartier. It was very close to the ferry and we were also able to walk to downtown Riviere-du-Loup. Loved the attached St. Hubert!

The hotel was easy access to major highway. Which is convenient when travelling. It was just an overnight stay and we wanted to be close to major roads and not waste time driving miles out of our way to find a place to sleep. It was quiet, clean and had a restaurant there and major chain coffee shop across the street. I would recommend this hotel for travellers.
