The property is in a residential area, small hotel , very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful when asked for a service. The only drawback was the pool :lovely setting but water was green with algae : not appealing for a dip!

What a find! A green oasis with a pool. Tye gardens are beautiful. It was 30 degrees and blue skies everyday so a dip in the morning before hiking around Rome was just lovely. Stylish, quaint, boutique sized. Perfect for us! Very friendly, helpful and relaxed staff. I’d definitely stay here again! Xx

This hotel was close to Circo Massimus and the Colosseum. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast spread was the best of any hotel I stayed at in Europe. The property was lush with gardens, a pool and loungers to relax on. I highly recommend it!!

Unique architectural oasis at an excellent location in Rome. Very friendly and professional staff, clean and well maintained property. Surprisingly quiet location. Many main attractions within walking distance, and metro station, tram and buses right next to it. High design all over, though sometimes at cost of practicality.

I had the absolute BEST stay at Fauno Urbano. As a solo female traveler coming to Rome in the max heat of summer and tourist season I felt I needed an oasis with a pool! Not so easy to find, but this gem of a property gave me everything I needed for the perfect vacation and was at a totally reasonable price point for me. The room was spacious and well appointed. The property was so lush and quiet, with only lovely mellow cafe jazz playing by the pool. And trust me, after a morning of heat and throngs of tourists, it is like coming home to heaven. Beyond the property itself, I was treated like a real friend by Rafael, the lovely man running things on the days I stayed. It’s because of people like him that I love traveling solo. He was open and helpful, curious and personable. He needs a raise! He anticipated when I would like cocktails by the pool and anyone who has ever employed people knows how difficult a good employee is to come by. Also, every day when I returned from my sightseeing days my room was made up so thoughtfully. I’m not sure the lovely lady’s name, but grazie mille for making me feel cared for. If you read other reviews of this beautiful, unique spot and they offer complaints, you can disregard those and just use mine as the correct assessment. The other amazing thing was there were no children, whether by design or just luck. It made for a tranquil, perfect oasis in a chaotic city. GRAZIE PER TUTTO, FAUNO URBANO!

We had a lovely stay at Fauno Urban. It was quiet, green garden with pool and lovely staff. Valentina and her team were so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. We loved having a spritz in the garden and breakfast on the terrace. It was a convenient 10 minute walk to the colosseum and we appreciated being in a less touristy location. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed twice at Fauno Urban, once on each end of our trip. The location was excellent. Breakfasts on both stays were substantial and tasty. And the front desk staff were extremely helpful. However, our room experiences there were quite mixed. On our first stay we were in the main building and the room was lovely. (The only downsides were the ants in the bathroom and finding it difficult to keep water from draining onto the floor when showering.) Unfortunately, on our return we were in a garden room outside the main building. This room was very run down, badly in need of a paint job, mold/mildew on the wall near the floor in the bathroom, and a doorknob on the inside of the front door to our room that came off in our hands! It was quite surprising and disappointing to have such a very different experience there on our return stay.

Our room had visible mould, a broken handle on the door to the balcony which prevented us from using the balcony, and our shower flooded. We asked for some sort of compensation but we’re not allowed to talk to any manager.

I was very satisfied with my stay here. Everything was very clean and staff were always helpful. They even loaned me an umbrella on a rainy day. I personally loved the breakfast they had set out every morning.

Een hele leuke locatie, vriendelijk personeel, heerlijk ontbijt met versgebakken cake, maar heel teleurstellende kamer: - appartement genomen, de kamer is echt aan renovatie toe, de foto’s op de site benaderen niet meer de realiteit: vuile muren, stukken van de deur, schimmel in voegen in douche. - de kamer was verder echt vuil: bij aankomst was er een hele grote plek waar je schoenen echt bleven kleven aan de grond (blikje frisdrank omgevallen of zo?). We hebben de vloer zelf met een witte handdoek wat opgenomen, die was nadien beige door de vuiligheid. Gemeld, men zou het extra poetsen, was nadien wat beter, maar nog niet grondig gepoetst in hoeken en kanten. Aan de schimmel in de douche hebben ze niks gedaan. - in de ijskast stond nog sushi van de vorige klant veronderstel ik. De geur die je tegemoet kwam was alles behalve aangenaam. - bij terugkomst een keer vastgesteld dat ze vergeten waren om de kamer terug op slot te doen na poetsen. Niet fijn als er 2 portables en een ipad op de kamer ligt. Inrichting kamer was kil en niet echt gezellig. Kortom: wij raden het appartement niet aan. Vrienden hadden een kamer van 2 met terras (junior suite volgens mij). Staat van de kamer was beter, maar ook niet echt deftig gepoetst. Van de 2 dagen dat ze er waren zijn ze 1 dag vergeten de kamer te poetsen.

This place was great because it was walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Caracalla. Even then if you truly want, all the other historical sites are walkable, if you’re willing to take the time to walk. The only unfortunate thing is the mold and rust in the bathroom. Other than that, the place is convenient and the staff were kind and helpful.

amazing room, so spacious and felt really private. such a cute courtyard area outside and the breakfast area was really welcoming. we had a lovely breakfast every morning with a good selection and they had alternative milks available as well!! would definitely recommend this hotel for rome as it is slightly outside of the main tourist areas so really easy to relax, but still only a 15min walk to the colosseum/forum

Rooms were very basic and werent exactly what they seemed in the gallery. Very small rooms with limited storage space and Limited sockets which was annoying but we made it work. Staff were lovley and did all they could for us. Great loaction but definetly pricey for what they were. Again Very basic. Location is great. 5 mins walk to the collesium and around 20-30 mins walk to trevi. Pantheon etc. .. really enjoyed our stay we just thought it was really overpriced as we paid 949 euro for 4 nights. Compared to other hotels this did seem like a cheaper option though.

Lovely to be in a serene oasis in the middle of Rome- the garden was a joy. Absolutely lovely breakfast very varied-yoghurt bar, salads, great fresh fruit, home baked goods, charcuterie, eggs, felafel, juices, great coffee. Our room was really an apartment with a full kitchen and living room , walk in closet,and we had our own steam room in it-a great treat. Nice showers and comfy beds. Just that this apt. was up a winding set of 20 stairs but staff brought all luggage up and down very graciously. No noise Short doable walk to the Colosseum and the forum.!!! Metro,busses right at the corner. Wonderful fish restaurant Emilio's next to artisan gelato store-3.50€ 2 blocks away Stiff unmanageable bathroom door was odd but room was away from bedroom and living room so ok for us as a couple. I’ll be back!

I had the absolute BEST stay at Fauno Urbano. As a solo female traveler coming to Rome in the max heat of summer and tourist season I felt I needed an oasis with a pool! Not so easy to find, but this gem of a property gave me everything I needed for the perfect vacation and was at a totally reasonable price point for me. The room was spacious and well appointed. The property was so lush and quiet, with only lovely mellow cafe jazz playing by the pool. And trust me, after a morning of heat and throngs of tourists, it is like coming home to heaven. Beyond the property itself, I was treated like a real friend by Rafael, the lovely man running things on the days I stayed. It’s because of people like him that I love traveling solo. He was open and helpful, curious and personable. He needs a raise! He anticipated when I would like cocktails by the pool and anyone who has ever employed people knows how difficult a good employee is to come by. Also, every day when I returned from my sightseeing days my room was made up so thoughtfully. I’m not sure the lovely lady’s name, but grazie mille for making me feel cared for. If you read other reviews of this beautiful, unique spot and they offer complaints, you can disregard those and just use mine as the correct assessment. This hotel experience was one of the best we've had in this first trip to Italy. We were talking among ourselves and we won't hesitate to come back here the next time we return to Rome. The staffs were all so amazing, friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage at the hotel as we checkout early for a morning visit. When we come back, we were welcome to sit in their lounging/ dining area while waiting to the time of our departure. The location is unbeatable. Less than 5 minutes away from the metro, surrounded by multiple bus lines that take you anywhere around the city of eternity. And if you're in a mood for a scenic walk, the hotel is located less than 15 minutes away from Colosseum, Palatine Hill and Roman Forum. We especially adore the view of Circo Massimo and Terme di Massenio (on Palatine Hill) from the street of the hotel. Overall, highly recommend this hotel to all. It feels very nice to come back to this serene hotel after a long day in a city as busy as Rome.

This was my second stay at this hotel and like last time, it was a very good stay thanks to the excellent staff and environment. This is a small hotel, so the breakfast is not the same as in larger hotels, but it is still carefully prepared and there is a wide variety of breads. The room was clean and well prepared, and there was enough space around the desk for me to work. The staff was very helpful and friendly, which made my stay very pleasant. 2 minutes walk to FAO and easy access to tourist attractions such as the Colosseum, which I didn't have time to visit. I would like to stay there again.

Our room had visible mould, a broken handle on the door to the balcony which prevented us from using the balcony, and our shower flooded. We asked for some sort of compensation but we’re not allowed to talk to any manager.

I was very satisfied with my stay here. Everything was very clean and staff were always helpful. They even loaned me an umbrella on a rainy day. I personally loved the breakfast they had set out every morning.

Estadia perfeita. Hotel super bem localizado, a poucos minutos a pé do Coliseu e das principais atrações, com fácil acesso também ao Vaticano. Café da manhã excelente, ótima estrutura e tudo muito bem organizado. Destaque para a gentileza da equipe, que preparou uma cortesia de café da manhã para levar, já que nosso voo foi antecipado e saímos de madrugada. Foi tudo muito bom, com certeza voltaríamos.

This hotel was close to Circo Massimus and the Colosseum. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The breakfast spread was the best of any hotel I stayed at in Europe. The property was lush with gardens, a pool and loungers to relax on. I highly recommend it!!

amazing room, so spacious and felt really private. such a cute courtyard area outside and the breakfast area was really welcoming. we had a lovely breakfast every morning with a good selection and they had alternative milks available as well!! would definitely recommend this hotel for rome as it is slightly outside of the main tourist areas so really easy to relax, but still only a 15min walk to the colosseum/forum

This property is centraly located in the heart of Rome in a quite neighborhood. The Colosseum is a few minutes walk away and the metro station is around the corner. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the breakfast served is amazing, perfect to start the day! I will stay here again.

Many main attractions within walking distance, and metro station, tram and buses right next to it. High design all over, though sometimes at cost of practicality.

We had a lovely stay at Fauno Urban. It was quiet, green garden with pool and lovely staff. Valentina and her team were so welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful. We loved having a spritz in the garden and breakfast on the terrace. It was a convenient 10 minute walk to the colosseum and we appreciated being in a less touristy location. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely to be in a serene oasis in the middle of Rome- the garden was a joy. Absolutely lovely breakfast very varied-yoghurt bar, salads, great fresh fruit, home baked goods, charcuterie, eggs, felafel, juices, great coffee. Our room was really an apartment with a full kitchen and living room , walk in closet,and we had our own steam room in it-a great treat. Nice showers and comfy beds. Just that this apt. was up a winding set of 20 stairs but staff brought all luggage up and down very graciously. No noise Short doable walk to the Colosseum and the forum.!!! Metro,busses right at the corner. Wonderful fish restaurant Emilio's next to artisan gelato store-3.50€ 2 blocks away Stiff unmanageable bathroom door was odd but room was away from bedroom and living room so ok for us as a couple. I’ll be back!

Friendly personal. Great cleaning! Mattresses were a bit worn out - and the breakfast was focused very much on sweet things. Italian and great if you like sweets. Coffee was always great and hospitality at top! I would not hesitate to go back. Especially the night portier stood out with amazing service.

Amazing location. Staff was very helpful. Very safe, right across street from Roman ruins. Garden/ pool was kind of a let down but everything else was as advertised. Room was clean. Breakfast was good.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The main public area was very nice & breakfast was very good! It was in a nice area with restaurants within close walking distance. Our room was in the courtyard, which could use a facelift. Our room felt damp & had a bit of a musty smell to it. The room was very modern & minimalistic, which meant no towel racks or hooks to hang anything in the bathroom and no counter space around the sink. The floors never really felt clean, but that was possibly because of the chat that we walked on to get to our room.

Staff were really lovely. The pool was much needed after a day of sightseeing. My room was really quite tired and not cleaned to a very high standard, although the bedding was clean. Breakfast was quite sorry looking, it’s served 7.30-10.30, I went down at 8.30 and it was pretty much empty, and wasn’t refilled whilst I was sat eating. It said on Hotels.com that check out was 10.30am but it was actually 11am which was really good and they happily looked after my luggage until my flight home.
