This property is situated in a more peaceful pocket of Rome, and it’s only about 10 minutes away from the colosseum/roman forum. I was hoping to find some sort of sanctuary here for a few days but the experience did not turn out as hoped. The double room I booked was situated very close to the main entrance gate which shuts with a loud click. Overall, the noise insulation (both internal and external) at this property is poor. From the unit where I stayed (which is closest to the gate), you could hear everything from the gates opening and closing, luggage being hauled across the cobblestones, and neighbouring guests’ talking at night (the rooms are connected by a connecting door). I did not get a chance to see how the other rooms were b/c I was told the property was fully booked. If you value quiet and deep rest, you might want to consider booking elsewhere, or at least asking to not be placed in one of the exterior rooms.

The room was in a poor condition. The bathroom door was broken, we was told to just leave it open when using. All sinks were blocked. The hammam was not classed as a proper hammam, it’s a small cubicle with different water settings. It was boiling during February the room but they said they don’t use AC during this time of year, so struggled to sleep. And the lamps were sizzling due to unsafe wiring. Otherwise was clean and beds comfy.
