Route 19 Inn

It is on the outskirts of town, so it was peaceful and quiet, away from the city lights. The property is well kept and they use every opportunity to tie their amenities with the theme. Be sure to check out the gift shop. Angi and Eric are helpful, friendly and always available. There are many selfie scenarios. My favorite was by the creek.

Cute little place to stay a few nights. Quite and cozy everyone was very friendly and we were able to bring our pup along for the stay as well. We will be back.

Cool retro style motel very clean and motorcycle friendly

Route 19 Inn is very clean with easy access from parking space outside each room. Great if on a motorcycle since you can park it right outside your room. Beds are comfortable and shower has plenty of room and lots of hot water. The owners are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Truly a great find!! Definitely staying here again!

We tend to like to stay at independent, quirky hotels. Route 19 Inn had a great mid-century modern vibe, with a variety of different room types to choose from. We chose a premium king creekside room. The room was a nice size and had a mini fridge with a real freezer (!) plus a microwave. The room description had also included a hot plate and toaster oven which were not in the room. We really didn’t need them so we didn’t ask about the whereabouts. The creek side porch was very nice. It was a rainy weekend so we did not use the pool, but it looked like a very nice well appointed area. If you are into grilling, there were several areas that we set up for that, rain or shine. We checked in with the woman who is one of the owners, she was very pleasant and easy to deal with.

There is nothing bad to say about Route 19 Inn. I'm a car guy and the vibe is perfect to me! I expect Marilyn Monroe to swim up at the pool anytime. Sitting around the creek will definitely put you in your happy place. The owner is always available, the staff is amazing, the rooms are clean, and this place is definitely an asset to Maggie Valley.

Rooms were very well taken care of and had lots of charm with a retro theme. We would absolutely book with them again. They have a creek out back that is so beautiful and you can use the grill they provide. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. We would come back again.

There were strange bugs in the room like roaches. The flooring was buckled in crispy. However, the TV was great. They did not appreciate that I didn’t get there till 8:00 PM.

The motel is clean and updated. We loved the firepit!

The Room Was OVER THE TOP CLEAN TO THE POINT THE CLEANING FUMES WERE HORRIBLE! I had to open all windows to breath Fresh air Made my eyes burn!

It’s a cute retro place, bed needs a box spring not just mattress on bed slats. Didn’t sleep well. Floor around trash can was sticky on bare feet. Updates that have been done are nice.

The Route 19 Inn was an enjoyable stay, with exceptional cleanliness and friendly staff. We were so impressed with our time here that we will make this our regular motel upon future visits to Maggie Valley. You can smell the cleanliness upon entering the room. Very safe area, and close to all the eating places and shops in town. Love it!

Loved this property! Very unique place to stay, just a couple comments. There are enough plugins that are handy - I needed to recharge my nebulizer - and the plugins that were available, were very loose and didn't hold the plug very tightly. We did discover on our last day that the sheets had stains on them (at least, we hope they were stains). Enjoyed hearing the creek running at night. Enjoyed the displays outside (50s car, teepee). Definitely would stay here again!

Great place to stay.. Very clean!!

I chose this hotel based on the “10” posted reviews. Although the ground were pretty and the owners very accommodating and and nice,I was very disappointed once we got into our room. The room smelled of cigarette smoke, the porch was full of leaves, cobwebs on the light fixtures and the screen door was quite dirty. The bathroom was clean but way to small… no counter space at all. Also, I had to ask for a hairdryer. Cute place needs work!

Rooms were clean but small. AC was loud but worked. No blow dryer. Retro was cool. Lost internet one day therefor no tv. No one answered at office door. Started working a few hours later.

If you are used to a Comfort Suites or Hampton Inn, then this probably won't be for you, but if you are looking for a couple of nights in a secluded motel that replicates the 50s style roadside motels, then you won't be disappointed. Comfy beds, well-kept grounds, nice play area with umbrella seating for parents with little ones. Beautiful creek with additional seating along the property. The rooms are a bit spartan, but you get the necessary basics: Comfortable beds, smart TV, small table with four chairs...and that's it. Bathroom is shower-only with good water pressure. Never ran out of hot water. Surprisingly good sound-proofing between rooms! Check-in was easy. Staff I encountered on the property was very friendly. And we were even treated to some live entertainment on July 4th!

This place is very clean and secure, with friendly owners and extremely comfortable beds. The property is set off from Route 19 and rooms are separated from each other by thick cinderblock walls, so it's very quiet. Rooms are great value for the money and the hotel is well-located in terms of exploring the area. We would definitely stay here again.

This refurbished motel is very cute and the rooms are clean. The 50's decor has been well thought out and attractive. The bed does not have a firm support that could be accomplished with a piece of plywood. The bathroom is from previous era and is a bit small. There is no place to put makeup and hair accessories for customers who use these items. As well, remember your hair dryer.

The owners are nice people. We like to stay in the king bed rooms next to the creek. These rooms are extra large and roomy.

Route 19 in is a cute and charming renovated 1950s motel in Maggie Valley. It is so obvious that the owners take so much pride in their inn. I wanted so bad to love this stay because of how adorable it is. I got in late, not realizing the office closed at 6 and thankfully Angie still checked me in and gave me my room key. She was incredibly friendly even when I interrupted her evening. I received my key and promptly took my dog for a walk around the property. There are items such as a vintage car, teepee, and picnic tables in the main courtyard. Off to the side is a beautiful river. After our walk, my wife and dog and I retired to the room to get ready to lay down for bed. We let ourselves in and unpacked our cooler items into a cute vintage looking refrigerator. It was cool, with air conditioning powered by a powerful unit. The bathroom had the original tiling, which I absolutely loved. When my wife and I got our things in the room and started trying to settle in, we noticed the chairs and the bed. The bed was a mattress on a frame with thin wooden slats. As a heavier couple, we are super aware of our sizes and know that a bed like this will usually hold max 500lbs. The chairs were in a similar fashion, that I know they probably hold about 250lbs. Unfortunately, since we paid for the hotel, we stayed but I ended up sleeping in the floor in a sleeping bag. This just needs to be a warning for heavier couples to maybe skip this stay, although adorable and with good service.

Angie was so helpful. Her restaurant suggestions were spot on. The room was clean and cozy. The exterior decorations are super cute. It’s was tucked in off the road a bit and was pretty quiet. We would stay here again if we come back to the area.

Our Stay at Route 19 Inn was Wonderful. We come here and stay every year, Some times 2 or 3 times a year.this Place has excalent owners, very helpful and friendly.

Took a chance in this hotel after our first choice was booked. We were plesently surprised. The retro look was cool and the room was large and super clean. We had dogs and I believe we were given the best room at the place. Super friendly owners and nice walking area for the dogs. This is our new go to hotel in Maggie Valley

Nice Vintage hotel on the main road thru town but still felt off the beaten path. very quiet. King bed was very comforty.

Enjoyed the peace and quite and the property is close to everything.

When you walk around property, very nice views of the mountains. Close to dining and fairgrounds. Friendly staff. Walker trail and smal. Waterfall and stream behind the property. Definitely would stay again.

Route 19 was a great little motel away from the main stream of town and was very clean and the owner was great . Only stayed on night was over for a car show with friends and we are already planning to stay here again next year

Hotel was adorable, relaxing, awesome decor makes you feel like your transported to another time. We were able to easily walk to breakfast and dinner. Pancake house and brewery is half mile walk with sidewalks and a gas station in between that making it convenient. The parkway is just around the corner making an easy escape out on the motorcycles.

Tucked into a hillside with a creek running right outside our room this hotel was perfect for our stay. Clean. Quiet. Close to every thing but secluded at the same time.
