Well appointed, clean hotel. Built 5 years ago. Great location and they have bikes available which was extremely nice to use. The living room area of the hotel is cozy and the food and staff are great. Chocolate chip cookies left on your bed every night! In my opinion, the nicest place to stay in Newport because the old Inns, the marriott and Gurneys are all musky.

Beautiful property friendly staff. right at the head of the harbor. Close walking distance to everything. We loved how dog friendly they were with treats water bowls and room service for the dog.

Everyone at the hotel was very courteous, friendly, and helpful. The room was welcoming, and the Hotels living room cozy enough to just hang out after a long day of walking Newport. And the view of Newport from the roofop was priceless. Will stay again and highly recommend them.

Beautiful rooftop views. Easily accessible to water activities i.e ferry rides,harbor tours etc… Tons of dining options that are walkable. Only minor inconvenience was dogs barking. I realize it’s a pet friendly stay however, I felt like I was in a dog kennel . Room was switched without an issue. Staff was attentive and accommodating. All in all a great stay!

My husband and I spent another wonderful weekend at the Brenton. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was spacious. The people who work at the Brenton are professional and very welcoming. Maurice, the mixologist in the Living Room, is amazing with his various concoctions. I would definitely recommend the Brenton to any Newport traveler. It is my 4th time to the Brenton in the past 2 years. It is well worth the money. It is now the only place my husband and I stay when we are visiting Newport!

We did a long weekend stay for adults. Great location right on the marina. Friendly staff, and environmentally friendly setup (pantry on guest room floors provides high quality filtered water still or sparkling, reusable bottles, and other nice touches).

Really nice, spacious room, loved all the juices and sodas, sparkling & still water and ice cream. Chocolate chip cookies on our pillow every night, turn down service. GREAT location. We didn’t have to take the car out once! Used the complementary bikes too. Very helpful staff. The restaurant was average but plenty of good places to eat within walking distance.

Very friendly front desk and valet staff. I loved the refillable water station and pantry on each floor with ice and ice cream. I would call the style of the room and hotel as upscale coastal. Beautifully decorated and appointed. The bathrooms lack a little bit of privacy with the glass doors but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. The room was set up with a semicircle sofa and a table big enough for light fare. The refrigerator was stocked with drinks. I would have liked a bit of space for things we wanted to keep cool. The roof top setup was very nice but our weather didn't cooperate. Perfect location

I love the layout of the rooms, and the vibe in The Library, and that they are super dog friendly. Excellent bellman, front desk and restaurant service. Great location downtown waterfront. Will definitely be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Brenton Hotel The hotel is beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The rooms are very large and comfortable. The bar and bartenders were great too. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome here. We hope to return again soon!

Property showing signs of wear & tear and not as clean as previous visit. Door handle for bathroom slider in my room was broken. Housekeeping left used washcloths on floor in shower. Scuff marks on walls in hallway, elevator, etc. Door adjacent to bar /front desk needed cleaning. Extended stay an add’l night (Fri.) and rate was $300 more than other nights. Should have been advised of such difference in rate. Wasn’t.

By far, my favorite sweet boutique hotel in the country. I travel extensively- for work and pleasure- and my family and I love coming to the Brenton. The staff is friendly but not annoying, helpful and happy. The hotel itself is spotless and the accommodations are top notch. Easy valet parking, reasonably priced room service, free in room diet Coke (reason enough for me to stay!) and great locale.

Can’t beat the location to be able to walk around Newport! Rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The pillows weren’t the best match or comfortable, and the vent noise kicking on/off at night was a bit disruptive.

This place is so nice. We loved the living room to chill and have a drink and a bite to eat. Everyone is so friendly and the rooms are huge! It’s not your basic hotel room. We stayed in a room with water views and it was perfect. The hotel is also conveniently located to everything.

Beautiful hotel located in walking distance to most shops/restaurants. Staff was very kind and friendly. Enjoyed the pantry perk of fresh water and icecream whenever you wanted. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck. Bar was not opened but enjoyed sitting up there overlooking the water. Beds were unusually low to the ground but overall room was great and bathroom design was beautiful. Enjoyed the nespresso maker in the room. We were not allowed to check in till exactly check in time which was a little inconvenient but i understand they were busy the night before. Also shouldn't make you pay for parking since already spending enough to stay at the hotel.

The room we stayed in had a window view of the harbor and it was spectacular. The only thing that we were unhappy about was the bed. The bed’s top layer had lumps and apparently other guests had the same issue.

The room was amazing, same as with the living room where we had breakfast. Great views of the marina. The only issues were with the bathroom: the shower was very hard to find the balance between super hot and super cold water. The bathroom sink was too flat and the water was not cleaning the bowl properly.

Brenton Hotel is the best hotel in Newport. The rooms are a great size 350 sq ft . We had 2 Queens Beds very comfortable , TV Is directly across from beds. Very important to R&R Travelers. The Living Room is casual and comfortable serving great food and drinks. Not the hotel for kids under 12. Location is the best. Staffs friendly and attentive. You won’t be disappointed.

The hotel seems new. It was nicely decorated, clean, and comfortable. The valet app didn't work and I never got a text or got a ticket for my parked car. I was not informed by the valet, nor by the reception that there is a house car that can take you places until I checked out and saw another guest requesting it. I couldnt find the phone in the room to contact reception. I had to call them via my cell. Check-out time is at 11am and when I asked to push to 11:30am, they couldn't even be flexible about it. I knew that the hotel wasn't fully booked for that day since I had looked into staying another day. Just because of their inflexibility, I am not sure if I would stay here again. Side note: the shampoo they provided was very watered down, I had to reapply 4 times.

Staff was really attentive and helpful, we needed a lint roller and they brought up to the room within 5 minutes. we also had a hard time with the heat in the shower at first and they came up immediately, helped up and allowed us to have extended check out due to the situation. Mckenzie at the front desk was so kind and very helpful!

First time in Newport, stayed for a weekend. Hotel is in a fantastic location, walkable to most of the sites. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and updated. Bar downstairs is a fantastic addition. Food looked good, but only had drinks. Rooftop bar for nicer weather. Free ice cream. Can’t ask for much more.

Beautiful property, we've stayed here twice and both times were such a treat. We were staying for a mini-moon after having just got married two days prior, and not more than 5 minutes after checking in, the staff dropped by with a bottle of champagne. Love the Brenton! So clean, so modern, and staff is awesome.

We had an excellent stay at the Brenton. The hotel is gorgeous, the staff were overly helpful and kind. Complimentary cookies, soft drinks and ice cream were the icing on the cake. Can’t wait to go back!

Can’t beat the location to be able to walk around Newport! Rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The pillows weren’t the best match or comfortable, and the vent noise kicking on/off at night was a bit disruptive.

This place is so nice. We loved the living room to chill and have a drink and a bite to eat. Everyone is so friendly and the rooms are huge! It’s not your basic hotel room. We stayed in a room with water views and it was perfect. The hotel is also conveniently located to everything.

Very friendly front desk and valet staff. I loved the refillable water station and pantry on each floor with ice and ice cream. I would call the style of the room and hotel as upscale coastal. Beautifully decorated and appointed. The bathrooms lack a little bit of privacy with the glass doors but it wasn’t too much of an inconvenience. The location is perfect with lots of shops and restaurants in walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel to others.

The location was perfect. We had a balcony with a beautiful view of the harbor. It was very conveniently located and walkable. We also took a boat ride on the Brenton One which was the highlight of our trip. We have nothing but amazing things to say about our stay at The Brenton

Our 4 night stay was wonderful! My wife and I stayed in a king room with city view and it was perfect for the two of us. The hotel is beautiful and clean and service was top notch. The on site restaurant has a limited menu but breakfast was very good and we enjoyed having a drink at the bar a few times during our stay. Location is very good and we were able to walk to many outstanding restaurants and shops along the water. The Brenton was a great experience and helped make our 4 day stay in Newport really enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!

We loved our midweek stay here. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were on a real getaway. The staff was friendly and seemed truly concerned with making our stay special. The room was very nice. The restaurant was perfect for breakfast and an evening snack/drink. Location was great. The only issues we had was that there were times that we could hear our next door neighbors.

My whole family loves this hotel! It is beautiful and clean and in a perfect location. Very walkable to the harbor in Newport. The food is delicious and fresh, the bar is great, and even the mini bar in the rooms is a cut above. They have little stations on all of the floors (except the 2nd) where you can get cold water, sparkling water, ice, ice cream. Just another lovely touch at this hotel. We have stayed here several times, and have loved it each time. The rooms with a harbor view are a bit smaller than rooms with a city view. Personally, I prefer teh city view rooms, as they are roomier.

What a beautiful hotel! The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or more helpful! Loved the rooftop bar and lounge space. The view was spectacular! The location is perfect for walking around vibrant Newport and visiting the great store and restaurants. The food at the hotel was so good. The breakfasts choices were perfect and we also loved the lobster rolls and chowder for lunch. Definitely looking forward to a return visit.

Really nice, spacious room, loved all the juices and sodas, sparkling & still water and ice cream. Chocolate chip cookies on our pillow every night, turn down service. GREAT location. We didn’t have to take the car out once! Used the complementary bikes too. Very helpful staff. The restaurant was average but plenty of good places to eat within walking distance.

It was just wonderful! We didn’t have a scenic view. Staff was so attentive. The cleanliness was outstanding. The location was right at the wharf so walkable, loved the hand held shower. Convenient amenities except for one. No free breakfast or coffee There is an espresso machine in the room which we used but DAIRY FREE COFFEE CREAMER. They could at least provide half and half or coffee in the lounge. Espresso is not drunk in the morning it’s latte or cappuccino on the continent. I would expect a better hotel like the Brenton to know international norms.

We’ve been to Newport many times. First time staying here and it didn’t disappoint. The staff was welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. The atmosphere at the living was comfortable and cozy. Love the food and the drinks were amazing!! Maurice and the rest of crew really know how to make some delicious crafty cocktails. We will definitely being staying here more often.

I wanted to love but the dining menu is not mainstream. No coffee service ended up at Starbucks at Marriott next door. The roof top obscured view of sunset. But the biggest flaw was the attempt to be so modern in design functionality lost. Especially the bathroom is echo chamber all clear glass surround bathroom door and wall only 1/2 way obscured. Hard to imagine ppl sharing room. Sink bowl that wasnt pitch to drain. Air only went to 67 overnight. Felt like no one else in hotel.
