Staybridge Suites - Summerville by IHG

Pros: fairly new hotel with very spacious room(s), in our case with full size refrigerator and cooking place. Outdoor pool (only little shade), decent gym. Well above average breakfast. Cons: immediately next to a busy I-26, which could be heard moderately.

Our stay was very comfortable. The size of the king bedroom suite gave us enough room to relax. The breakfast was tasty and the food at the evening happy hour was delightful. The hotel also had a TV room, laundromat, fitness room, a business center and pool & patio. It is located near several restaurants as well as the highways.

Breakfest was nice. The hotel dies not have enough parking for its guest and expects the guest to find the solution

Great Place. Roomy, comfortable rooms with full kitchen. Good breakfast, good coffee, bacon, bagels, eggs, juice, etc. Better than other properties around. Great patio, with pergola, worth it and good clientele as well. Well done overall and completely recommend.

Unfortunately the pool was being repaired during our stay. Otherwise it was wonderful. Very clean—well maintained. Great for families. Would return.

An excellent property. The rooms were very spacious and with a great full kitchen. The included breakfast buffet was the best I've seen at any hotel. Only downsides were the pool being closed when i was there (middle of the Summer), and there's no pull in area in front of the hotel - if you park near the entrance, you'll likely be blocked in by deliveries, taxis, people loading/unloading their cars, etc. The hotel should place a 5 minute time limit on those people.

Everything was great except that the pool was not available on the weekend and they said it would reopen Monday but we were leaving on Monday. That was the only disappointing thing. Other than that, the room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, the staff were polite and friendly. And breakfast was great.

The room was amazing and juat enough space for mom, dad, and 4 kiddos. Staff was amazing. We stayed 5 nights. Pleasantly surprised with free washer and dryers.

Location was real convenient but parking lot could be a little bigger.

This hotel is very nice. The breakfast was phenomenal for a hotel, with lots of fresh options and more variety than any hotel we've ever stayed at. Oatmeal, grits, tea, coffee, juice, fruit, eggs, meat sausage, vegan sausage, salsa, cheese, tomatoes, toast, bagels, waffles, etc! The staff were wonderful. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets were soft and high quality, and the duvet was thick and warm. Absolutely loved it! The room looked new and clean, however upon closer inspection, the floor looked like it could really use shampooing. Also this is a pet-friendly hotel and our son that has allergies sneezed a lot in the room. I did see two long hairs in the "fresh" bed covers (probably clung to the sheets in the dryer), there was a small stain on the pillow case, and a small cockroach ran across the floor. Thankfully we killed it. Front desk gave us new sheets and pillow cases right away after we informed them of the hair, and gave us two free waters (that we were going to buy) for the inconvenience which was nice. Room was great otherwise, bathroom was nice, water was hot, sofa loooed new and clean, really everything looked clean. The full-size refrigerator was awesome. The room was stocked with plenty of towels, as opposed to our recent stay at Homewood Suites. The AC didn't make the room cold as fast as we would have liked. Very pleasant environment and stay. Lovely sitting room and dining room with huge windows and nice colors. Would absolutely stay here again!

Nice place. The shower floors could use a bit more cleaning, otherwise it was clean and comfortable.

All employees were nice. It was clean. The pull out couch mattress was badly stained and the rubber in the full size refrigerator was broken so the refrigerator was difficult to close.

Stained carpets in my room and no water pressure what so ever

We show up and get an unexpected $75.00 pet fee per day. They wouldn't let us cancel the room so we were stuck with the fee. The room they put us in was under the gym and we heard weights dropping until about 10pm. There was a giant stain in the middle of the floor, mold in the shower, and cigarette smoke smell.

I probably won't stay here again. Shower seems like it had been cleaned in a while just washes down. floors look dirty need updated.

I love the spacious rooms with all of the amenities of home. The unit was clean and the staff was extremely professional.

We were on a family vacation with our children, and this was the perfect stay. Everything was neat and clean, we loved having free laundry facilities, and a kitchen. I will definitely be back!

Staff was friendly however we were not entirely satisfied with our room. The daybed is in awful condition & looks like it was chewed up. The room was clean but did smell have a musty smell.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet, for the most part, in spite of being very close to the highway. The windows must be sound proof, to some extent. I had to change rooms twice which they were able to accomodate...first room to close to a young couple noisey late, and the second room, thermostat was broke, so the 4th room floor was in the best shape and quiet. The staff was nice and mostly helpful. I would prefer being able to have free drinks during the day, such as coffee, milk or soda options. Breakfast is better on Monday than Sunday for sure, oddly = bacon! (ha). I may stay there next time, which I may be back fairly soon.

Generally the hotel was good. The shower pressure was terrible. The suite was large and very comfortable. The only critique I have is bary the breakfast options when possible.

It was a great location but we were on the first floor closest to the highway and there was a lot of road/traffic noise through the night. It wouldn't hurt if the water pressure was a little better. Other than that, it was very clean, staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was great! They even had gluten free muffins and breakfast options for me who has Celiac Disease. We would definitely stay again.

I love the concept of the sliding doors however everyone in our family of 4 got stuck in the bathroom at different times due to the button not functioning easily. The social hour and breakfast were fantastic as well the front desk person who checked us in. I would suggest that if an “accessible” room is being given the front desk person would make that known, if that room type was not requested.

Our stay was great. From the time we arrived the staff was nice and accommodating. They definitely showed Southern Hospitality. The room was very clean and they had everything you would need in a kitchenette from the pyrex dishes to the container to make koolaid. Most hotels have bar soap to wash your hands, but they had Dove handwashing soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. They didn't skimpy on the items. The only issue we encountered was the water pressure was too high in the sink... it almost took our hands off. But we didn't complain cause that's a good problem to have... we just adjusted. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely lodge here again.

The suite was fantastic, the kids loved everything about the hotel. Great breakfast, comfy beds, good location.

I was waiting for almost thirty minutes for someone to come to the desk. Room service didn’t come to my room at all I had to go upfront for fresh linens

We were most impressed by the staff. All the employees we had contact with were exceptionally personable as well as professional and helpful. EVERYTHING else about the Staybridge was EXCELLENT! We booked a June stay, and quickly booked two more stays for July. Every positive statement in every review on this sight is well deserved. Hands down the best hotel I have stayed at in years!!!! Every one of the staff was so friendly and hospitable. Carla was the absolute best to talk to and would greet you with a smile every time you came back or were leaving. We travel this way two to three times a year. I will only now stay here!!

The stay and people were awesome except for our check out the person at desk was rude and not helpful we had an issue was basically told not his problem and we could not talk to a manager but otherwise all other staff was awesome

Had car trouble and had to stay additional 4 nights. They accommodated us in every way possible. This was a great place to stay. Carla at the front desk was especially helpful to us.

The night shift employee was smoking Marijuana in the lobby at 1 am when I came down.

Front desk was rude. Check in is at 4 PM and my room was not ready to after 6 PM. Bathroom had mold and soap scum as if the bathroom was not cleaned. Horrible experience. I will never stay at another Staybridge and will write a negative review on this hotel and staff on every review site.

Great hotel! One of the better Ive stayed in. From the check in to the check out it everyone was friendly and the amenities were fantastic. Teally recommend this hotel.

Convenient TO but not IN Charleston. Good value for a Charleston visit, 15-20 mile interstate I-26 ride to downtown. Breakfasts & Late Afternoon Snakes well done.

This hotel is positioned, sort of, between the interstate and Charleston. It was the closest "nice" hotel to the interstate. Check in was easy and the front desk staff were friendly and eager to help. The hotel is situated near numerous restaurants and businesses. We were able to walk to dinner. We booked a 2 room suite. My sons each had their own bed and -even better- their own bathroom. There was a very functional kitchen and the styling was a comfortable modern. The bed was more comfortable than most hotels. The lone downside was staining. There were stains on the floor, the couch and the hallway floor outside of the room. That isn’t really the hotel\'s fault, but it feels gross nevertheless. There was a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Stocked with a wonderful variety of optikns and an attendant stocking and cleaning. I would stay here if I were needing to get a hotel within a 30 minute radius.

North of Charleston about 30 min driving. Downtown hotels are expensive during July 4th weekend so this could be a good alternative.

Property was very clean. Staff was very friendly. This hotel areas also very convenient to stay at with plenty of restaurants and shopping near by.

Breakfast buffet was eh. Sausage was way over cooked and oj was diluted with water. Waffles were pretty much only good thing we ate. While I love its a dog friendly hotel….people need to be more respectful with their pets. They need to clean up after them and keep them quiet. The floor above us must have let them out of their crate at 11pm every night and the poor things had the zoomies for over an hour. One barked continuously for 30 min.

Spacious, quiet, and clean room. Convenient to major roadways and many good restaurants are nearby. The complimentary breakfast is very basic.

Really liked the M-W social hour. Was a little disappointed about the fruit selection in the morning. When we first got there on Wed Apr 9 there was a good selection of fruit, but by Sun Apr 13 it became very minimal and also they did not have any greek yogurt anymore. But we were very happy with our visit.

Everything was great except for the breakfast. No grits and it seems as though much care wasn't taken to prepare the food. The shower also needed to be wiped down. I prefer the Mount Pleasant location to this one for this reason. Even so, the room was very quiet and comfortable.

The suites are spacious. Breakfast room is large and lovely but the omelettes were dry and overcooked and there were no pastries at 9:00(breakfast went until 9:30). Front desk person in the morning was especially nice and chipper.

Having breakfast served at the hotel was very helpful for our family of 5. The food was great, the service of the food staff was great, and overall, we were very happy with our stay!
