We had an amazing week at Secrets Tulum. It was a beautiful resort with many quiet spots to get away to. Beautiful restaurants had great food! We loved our pool walkout room. Staff was helpful and friendly. Excursions to the Beach club were fun! Definitely recommend this resort!

We had a fantastic stay at Secrets Tulum Resort. The resort was spotless, and the cleaning staff did an exceptional job throughout our visit. Frida, our wonderful concierge, truly made our stay extra special — she went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The amenities were excellent, especially the gym and the variety of pools. We also really appreciated the shuttle service to the sister beach resort, which gave us the opportunity to enjoy the beach as well. We would highly recommend Secrets Tulum Resort.

Property and Resort was Amazing- Very Clean. Most of the Staff were friendly and courteous aside from the front lobby personnel. Definitely need better tequila options on property being that you are in MEXICO. Pools were amazing- They don’t keep the Jacuzzi’s warm, they were all cold water. On Vacation we all love a warm jacuzzi to relax in. The Beach club shuttle is convenient but need to have more consistent shuttle times. It’s not as often as they advertise online. Overall- A Wonderful experience. :)

Location was beautiful, staff was extremely Efficient. Juan the entertainer was always excited to get games going at the beach, Adela lead yoga and helped out guests any time she could. Shuttles to the beach club every 15 minutes, food was amazing. Over all 10/10, and we made friends there. Highly recommend.

Amazing service. Quiet during sleeping hours. The beach club also has amazing service and is included in the all inclusive. The excursions were safe and well coordinated. They even provide transportation for you to and from. Cab service is available if you want to stay at the beach longer or venture out into the city for other dinning options. Highly recommend. This is a brand new property as well. Rooms were amazing. We got the swim out room and the water was not too cold or too hot. 10 out of 10 experience.

Excellent hotel. Beautiful rooms, fantastic staff and service. Not too busy, felt like a private resort. Staff was attentive, drinks and food of a much higher quality. Lovely spa too. Only comment is that the gym is too warm and the AC wasn’t strong enough there. Made it difficult to use.

A more boutique take in resort: multiple small pools, great restaurants and buffets, incredible service. The ambiance is quite different than its sisters-resort Secrets Maroma and Akumal that are on the beach, with a more jungle flair. Important to know, the beach is accessible at the amazing beach club but you have to take a 15-20min shuttle to reach it (it's totally worth going).

It rained and water was leaking through the ceilings, staff wasn’t answering the phones. Then while my husband and I are getting food a roach crawled up on the counter top. We told the front desk about all the issues and ask what they were willing to make the experience better. A man and the front desk Kevin told us to write a review and was rude. Asked to talk to the manager plenty of times and no one wanted to talk to us. Overall experience was terrible and I’m disappointed at secrets because they hold great standards, but this was by far the worst trip ever! For the price I paid and the staff wasn’t willing to make any accommodations. I even showed the picture to the front desk of the roach and still nothing. I don’t live like that at home. I wouldn’t never recommend this property to a homeless person!

Hotel booking was misleading. I book 11/6-11/10 what I thought was the main resort for my 35th bday upon arriving I was told that I would be staying on the beach side of the hotel which was about a 20 mins shuttle ride, I explained I was a solo traveler and would prefer staying at the main hotel where it is lit and filled with people. They refused to move me. Concierge stated that no other rooms were available. I took the shuttle that they provided to the off site beach location. It was small and unpleasant looking. However, I tried making the best of it. I was told that room service stops at 10pm when online it stated that service would be available 24 hours, also The restaurants on the beach side of the resort closed at 6 PM, so you had to shuttle back to the main resort to eat if you wanted the all inclusive, The last shuttle to and from the resorts are at 10:30 PM, For me was an issue because it was my birthday and I did not want to be back in the hotel by 10:30 PM at an all inclusive resort. The icing on the cake is, upon return home I have been bitten by bedbugs all over my lower body and buttocks. Room 6020 At the BEACH CLUB looks a basement apartment.It was nothing luxurious about it, nothing like the photos advertised. The icing on the cake is the room has a BED INFESTATION and I asked to be moved, nothing available. I was bitten by bed bugs all over my back legs and buttocks. I threw out my entire suitcase. I am currently waiting on a response from the resort.

Boy where do I start? We checked out yesterday from a 5 night stay and I’d compare our experience of that to a Holiday Inn. It’s shocking because Secrets in the DR was beyond amazing. Upon check in we were pitched the “not a timeshare” presentation. We felt so extremely pressured after saying no multiple times. When we got to the room we unplugged the phone to avoid calls about the breakfast we were forced to book. This is relevant later. Day 1: TV remote not working, safe broken, no robes or iron in the room, wine cooler leaking. They gave us a new remote and sent someone to fix the safe. Was told they’d get robes and an iron sent that never came. Day 2: the hotel took nearly a day to navigate. Everything building is designed as a circle so if you make a wrong turn you have to walk all the way around. When walking to breakfast a completely different man from the one that booked the presentation stopped us, asked if we were “insert name here”. We responded yes. He asked why we didn’t come to the presentation and then after we told him we didn’t want to go he SCOLDED us about “wasting his teams time and spot for someone at the breakfast”.. mind you every single person that came in was pitched the breakfast experience. Day 3: wasn’t until day 3 our butler slid a note under the door with his info if we needed anything. Day 3 was also the day a ROACH was inside the hair dryer, and I didn’t realize this until after I used it. Then ants were covering the one sink. At this p

I absolutely loved my stay at Secrets Tulum. The property was incredibly clean at all times throughout the day and night, the staff was beyond nice and accommodating, and the service was amazing. I would certainly recommend this resort!

Horrible experience. We were at one room two nights with the aC making awful noises. One day the vent fell from the ceiling. Thankfully our next few nights they switched us to another room where it was better. Their resolution to the consumer was poor.

The rooms were damp and smelled mildew. Was preferred status, however, was not shared all of the preferred amenities. Finding your way around the property was problematic. No map was provided. The staff didn't seem like they were overly happy to have jobs. The traveling back-and-forth to the beach was challenging given the traffic. The resort can't do anything about that, need to be very clear about the transport back-and-forth being time consuming.

Amazing stay at a great hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was large and great, and the cleaning personell were very thorough. The Rosewater restaurant had tasty food, and very pleasant staff that made our mornings perfect. Everyone on the staff at Casa Zamna were great. The guys at the beach making our stay filled with good energy, while the front desk helped us with everything we needed. Cristian, Pablo, Fernando, Manuel, Benigno, Sergio, Salvador, Louis - everyone contributed greatly to our stay being something we'll cherish forever. We hope to be back one day!
Amazing stay at a great hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was large and great, and the cleaning personell were very thorough. The Rosewater restaurant had tasty food, and very pleasant staff that made our mornings perfect. Everyone on the staff at Casa Zamna were great. The guys at the beach making our stay filled with good energy, while the front desk helped us with everything we needed. Cristian, Pablo, Fernando, Manuel, Benigno, Sergio, Salvador, Louis - everyone contributed greatly to our stay being something we'll cherish forever. We hope to be back one day!

The property is very large. The layout can get confusing trying to find restaurants and pools and bars. The room itself was excellent. Large bathroom/shower area, great views. We were never advised of the app, to know what was open for food choices and times of availability and menus and such, that would have been nice to have been told at check-in (especially since we stayed at preferred tower). The beach club was a nice area as well. Nice to be able to take the shuttle back and forth and get some beach time. May look at staying at that end next time. Overall, a nice stay for a couple of nights. Always enjoy Secrets and the group of hotels they belong to.

Despite being a luxury resort that opened in 2023, it is plagued with numerous issues, such as malfunctioning facilities. For instance, the shower leaks, the housekeeping switch is broken, and the temperature control fluctuates unpredictably. The dining experience was also underwhelming. While the resort boasts eight dining options, two are located at the beach club and one is exclusive to Preferred Club members, leaving only three restaurants available for dinner. As a result, guests staying for more than three days may find themselves dining at subpar restaurants at least once. Moreover, the resort is located a considerable distance from the beach. While a complimentary shuttle service is provided, the round trip takes approximately 40 minutes, which some guests may find inconvenient. Additionally, the resort is set within a jungle environment, leading to a high presence of mosquitoes. The excessive sand scattered throughout the property also makes walking uncomfortable.

This property was amazing. The staff are all very friendly and kind, always happy to help. The swim out was definitely worth it. Food at Grotto was good. The downside was the numbers on the elevators were confusing and made it difficult to get around, the beach club is not on site so we didn’t get to go but we plan to go back

Boy where do I start? We checked out yesterday from a 5 night stay and I’d compare our experience of that to a Holiday Inn. It’s shocking because Secrets in the DR was beyond amazing. Upon check in we were pitched the “not a timeshare” presentation. We felt so extremely pressured after saying no multiple times. When we got to the room we unplugged the phone to avoid calls about the breakfast we were forced to book. This is relevant later. Day 1: TV remote not working, safe broken, no robes or iron in the room, wine cooler leaking. They gave us a new remote and sent someone to fix the safe. Was told they’d get robes and an iron sent that never came. Day 2: the hotel took nearly a day to navigate. Everything building is designed as a circle so if you make a wrong turn you have to walk all the way around. When walking to breakfast a completely different man from the one that booked the presentation stopped us, asked if we were “insert name here”. We responded yes. He asked why we didn’t come to the presentation and then after we told him we didn’t want to go he SCOLDED us about “wasting his teams time and spot for someone at the breakfast”.. mind you every single person that came in was pitched the breakfast experience. The Expedia gold status is supposed to get you a $200 resort credit and a free spa service. The hotel ended up saying that it’s not a $200 credit. It’s $40 coupons that you can use one at a time only on two specific services. It was really annoying that they didn’t honor the package as written. It’s a very nice hotel but it felt very cheap and they were very deceptive. They’d say one thing and do another - nothing like being gaslit on vacation. There are two parts of the hotel. I recommend the Casa Omni room types because those are the ones on the beach. The other rooms are located at the main property which is about 10 to 15 minutes. Drive away from the beach.

We had a fantastic stay at Secrets Tulum Resort. The resort was spotless, and the cleaning staff did an exceptional job throughout our visit. Frida, our wonderful concierge, truly made our stay extra special — she went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing time. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The amenities were excellent, especially the gym and the variety of pools. We also really appreciated the shuttle service to the sister beach resort, which gave us the opportunity to enjoy the beach as well. We would highly recommend Secrets Tulum Resort.

This recent weekend trip provided a wonderful experience at a beautiful hotel known for its modern and comfortable rooms, with various appealing amenities. The hotel offers a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal getaway for relaxation. However, there are opportunities for improvement in the hotel's three restaurants, particularly at Olio, which specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. The food was not good at all. You can tell we were being served frozen food in a few areas. We expected fresh food. The bars and the drinks were always very watered down. Beware of pushy salespeople upon checking in who try to whisk you away for a 90-minute trip to their sister's location. This was very irritating, as we were hungry and tired from our long trip. They wanted us to make a decision right there and then. This was not a pleasant check-in experience. The service in a handful of areas was prolonged. The hotel has nine pools and a well-regarded spa. The beach club is nice but they need more staff in the bar and lunch area. The hotel is in Aldea Zama, an area that allows for pleasant walking trips to nearby boutique coffee shops and local restaurants.

Upon check in, we had a minor issue with our room not being ready on time. I did ask to speak to the manager on duty. The hotel manager Kevin was very accommodating and even offered us a special dinner to make up for the late check in. Gabriel, Our room concierge was also great. He was very attentive, helpful and went above and beyond to attend to all of our needs. He planned a romantic dinner for us to celebrate our anniversary. Lucia the manager at olio - was great. She made sure our experience was perfect. You can tell these guys enjoy what they do and take it seriously. I also want to give thanks to Estela at the front desk, Jeremias at preferred lobby bar. I highly recommend this resort. It’s relaxing, luxurious and the customer service is top notch.

The resort’s location and design are stunning, and the beach club offers great accessibility, entertainment, and cleanliness. However, several service experiences fell short of expectations. On another occasion, a staff member declined to make drinks he had just served to nearby guests, which felt unprofessional. While relaxing at the beach, a server asked us to relocate or purchase an expensive bottle despite our Preferred Club status. We eventually left, which was disappointing since the Preferred upgrade is meant to ensure comfort and service consistency. That said, many team members were kind and accommodating, and some went above and beyond. The beach club menu is limited, but the main resort offered more dining options, which we enjoyed on our final night. Overall, Secrets Tulum is a beautiful property with great amenities and atmosphere. With more consistent staff training and attention to guest experience, it could easily be a five-star stay.

I recently stayed at Secrets Tulum, and it turned out to be the most disastrous resort experience I’ve ever had. On the very first night, I received an electric shock because the cables behind the lamp’s wall plate weren’t insulated. Although they sent an engineer to fix the problem, the harm was already done—I was deeply unsettled by the incident. The concierge, Fernando, attempted to provide a few concessions, such as a hydrotherapy spa session and a romantic breakfast for my girlfriend and me. However, when we called the next day to confirm our spa appointment, our names weren’t even on the list—apparently, nobody had informed the spa staff. To make matters worse, the promised romantic breakfast was never delivered. We also celebrated New Year’s Eve there and paid $250 for a table with champagne, but when the night came, our table had already been given to someone else. It took them over 45 minutes to locate an alternative table, and we ended up far from the preferred section we had originally paid for. In addition to these issues, the customer service was appalling. The wait times at the restaurants averaged between 45 and 60 minutes, which was especially infuriating considering this is supposed to be a Secrets property. After experiencing all these problems, I can safely say I absolutely would not recommend Secrets Tulum.

We recently stayed at Secrets Tulum and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff was exceptional—always kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. We understand it’s their job to provide great service, but the people here truly go above and beyond, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. The dining options were fantastic, with a great variety of healthy and fresh food available, especially at the buffet. It was clear that a lot of thought goes into the quality of the meals, which we really appreciated. The facilities were another highlight. Everything was new, very clean, and modern, contributing to the overall relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. We also loved how calm and peaceful the environment was—perfect for a restful getaway. It’s clear that this isn’t a place for parties and chaos, but rather for those looking to unwind and enjoy a pleasant, tranquil stay. This resort is a liability for the entire Secrets brand as their service is far below the company's standard. In a yr this will be the perfect resort, but until then stay away or visit and email corporate about your experience so they can clean house. However, this property is also very promising. We absolutely loved the room, location and while we also enjoyed the main restaurants, the casual eateries are another story. The buffet was lackluster at best, as the variety is lacking and repetitive. The lack of a mexican restaurant was also noted. The room was fabulous, but the lack of a privacy rope curtain in double rooms is regretful, as the 1st thing you can see when walking in your room, is your roommate showering. The beach club is amazing, but the food here is just like the buffet....lack of variety. For some reason the gift shop is still not completed..6 months later, so If you need sunscreen, or anything else, you have to walk to the go-mart 1 block away. I also never received a room upgrade as I am a VIP member, and when asked they said "You current room is better, as it is a swim-up and the upgrade is a preperfered tropical". Glad you like to make decisions for your guest, but I can make my own decisions. In the end, I kept my room, with a promise of preferred club amenities, which meant nothing, cause I never received a bag, butler or prefered service, just pool use. In conclusion, it's a good resort, but it's NOT a Secrets resort that most of us know and love.

In the end, I kept my room, with a promise of preferred club amenities, which meant nothing, cause I never received a bag, butler or prefered service, just pool use. In conclusion, it's a good resort, but it's NOT a Secrets resort that most of us know and love.

Absolutely beautiful resort- great food and staff. My only complaint is that it's not on the beach. There's a shuttle that runs to and from the beach club, which is soooo nice but it closes at 5. My own fault for not looking closer at the location. I would still recommend it though- the resort was incredible.

Location was beautiful, staff was extremely Efficient. Juan the entertainer was always excited to get games going at the beach, Adela lead yoga and helped out guests any time she could. Shuttles to the beach club every 15 minutes, food was amazing. Over all 10/10, and we made friends there. Highly recommend.

The private beach is not on the resort but a 15-20 min shuttle ride away from the resort. Our power went out in our room one day and it took them about 30 min to fix it. The food was more westernized than Mexican and the bacon at the buffet was horrible. Everything else I ate was good. The mixed drinks like daiquiris, and pina coladas were very sweet and gave me a headache, so did their champagne so I stuck with Caesar’s and tequila sunrise for the majority of my stay. There is a lot of walking on the resort and a total of 4 connecting buildings 4 floors high which you could get yourself lost in trying to find your suite, however, there is always someone around who works there to direct you to your room. The resort I was told was just over a year old so they are still trying to establish themselves. Overall the staff was friendly, helpful, clean environment you literally could go barefoot anywhere, entertainment was ok but the resort usually shuts down at 1am.

A more boutique take in resort: multiple small pools, great restaurants and buffets, incredible service. The ambiance is quite different than its sisters-resort Secrets Maroma and Akumal that are on the beach, with a more jungle flair. Important to know, the beach is accessible at the amazing beach club but you have to take a 15-20min shuttle to reach it (it's totally worth going).

I have stayed at many of these beachfront resorts. When booking this I didn’t realize it was not on the beach and you have to take a 20 minute shuttle to get to their beach club. I like to walk the beach early in the money and evening. Not possible here. Also you can’t set back and feel the ocean breeze and lisiten to the waves from your room. Next time I will book at their sister resort that is on the ocean.

For the price I did expect more. We ordered room service one night and called an hour later to check on it, and it just never showed up. Also asked for a new steamer because ours was broken and that never came. Asked for new towels one day and they put the clean towels on top of my dirty clothes, which weren't even in the bathroom. The food was overall pretty bad. Some okay options, but very underseasoned and overcooked. There are a lot of pools, so it is nice you can always find a not crowded spot. The staff was kind, and the room itself was very nice.

Amazing stay at a great hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was large and great, and the cleaning personell were very thorough. The Rosewater restaurant had tasty food, and very pleasant staff that made our mornings perfect. Everyone on the staff at Casa Zamna were great. The guys at the beach making our stay filled with good energy, while the front desk helped us with everything we needed. Cristian, Pablo, Fernando, Manuel, Benigno, Sergio, Salvador, Louis - everyone contributed greatly to our stay being something we'll cherish forever. We hope to be back one day!

This property need better food option. There need to be an alternative buffet dinner option as well instead of only able to have dinner at a restaurant. The only restaurant that was good was the Japanese restaurant . More staff is needed as some restaurants weren’t open every night

We recently stayed at Secrets Tulum and had an incredible experience from start to finish. The staff was exceptional—always kind, attentive, and genuinely warm. The staff and cleanliness is great, I do think that the Hyatt Inclusive properties has lost their spark trying to cut corners. Food was lacking variety, flavor, authenticity, and overall was not good. They are usually understaffed, which makes the food come to us cold. We tried room service, going to the main location, which were all very average experience. At our last days, we ended up opting out and eating food outside. If you just want to drink, you can get that at any all inclusive.

This property was nothing short of Amazing. Every restaurant, even room service had amazing food. I have never been to an all-inclusive resort where I didn’t leave to go eat. This was wonderful and so worth every penny spent. The staff and I mean the ENTIRE staff was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Secrets surpassed every expectation I had for this trip. I’m convinced that I will look for a Secrets for every trip moving forward. Thank you TULUM.

We enjoyed our stay at Secrets Tulum. Id truly rate it as a 4.5/5. It is a rather new property, so there's not a ton of activities. The Beach Club and Spa are awesome! Take advantage of the hydrotherapy -- AMAZING! If you like soft to medium pressure, ask for Irene. If you like medium to firm pressure, ask for Daniel! Love their skills! Customer Service overall is pretty A1. They are all very helpful. Drinks were okay-- they pour them heavy which we loved, but everything was pretty watered down. They do not have top-shelf liquor available, so pick up at the duty free before leaving the airport.Food is mediocre at best. The Market Cafe breakfast was my favorite-- especially the omelette station and the fresh juices! Bordeaux has great French options, like their mushroom risotto and the bechamel app. Jasmine is okay with their Asian cuisine. When we went to Bluewater Grill it was rainy and held in the Market Cafe. It was okay, nothing memorable. Coco Cafe was convenient for being open 24H, but dont expect anything spectacular. Room service took awhile, but their basic burger is the best option. We had the swim out Junior Suite and that room was amazing. Love the openness of the bathroom and the convenience of the private pool. The overall shape of the room was unique and different. Celebrating our 10 year anniversary and they initially treated us royally, but as soon as we declined their presentation to sign up for their club, we were treated as regular customers.

Staff are delightful and very welcoming! The room are very nice, Beautiful and outstanding. The pool are very clean. Even though your far from the beach but the white sands next to the pool feels like beach vibe. The only thing is the cable tv signals are slow.
