The entrance looks as though you can drive up to the office, as first time stayers, we tried to do that, as the drive forward is almost a right-angle and it looked like we could drive up to the office we tried and the damage seen is a burst tyre. However the valet service was excellent, if expensive.

Wasn’t too keen on the valet parking, especially when you read the small print. Would prefer to drive my own car as they will not except liability if any damage occur. Plus it made things a little awkward when arriving as a number of cars were waiting. The drop off/valet parking area is rather small as well. Other than that, it’s not a bad hotel

First night I was woken by a flea in my bed. Staff said they would change sheets & clean room. Changed sheets but clearly didn't clean room. Changed rooms on my request. U room would be fine for a 1 night stay but I was there for 5 nights. Limited drawer space and hardly any hanging space makes for 5 days unable to unpack. Won't be staying there again.

The staff were great. Checkin/out fast and efficient. Sky lounge and downstairs dining, very pleasant. Very quiet spot with parking close by. What let it all down was room cleanliness. Huge dangling cobweb thick enough to cast a shadow in shower cubicle. Thick dust on towel shelves and right round edge of vanity surface. Toothpaste and goodness knows what else splattered on bathroom tile wall. Just made me wonder how clean everything else was. The short, dark hair in the bed that I found in the morning had me feeling a little sick. Were the sheets clean? Ive never come across this level of dust on surfaces before. Took photos it was so surprising and Im not a photo person.

Superb location, close to sky tower and intercity and airport bus terminal, walking distance to the Harbourside and ferries, as well as numerous eateries, the hotel itself is quite new and includes self check in, a restaurant and bar on the ground floor and the sunset bar on the top floor over looking the west side of the city including the harbour bridge, room I stayed in was spacious with everything I needed, the later check out at 11am was also a bonus, only negative was that the lift was very confusing to operate with the swipe card, otherwise I highly recommend staying here if you’re wanting to stay in Auckland

Stayed in a deluxe king room with lovely harbour view, would highly recommend. Room is well appointed and nicely sized, with a comfortable bathroom. Was only there for one night but could have easily stayed a week. Soundproofing was great as well, and the staff friendly and helpful.

Great location, very quiet rooms. Plenty of restaurants around. Loads if options. Wayerfront and sky tower within easy walking distances. Onsite parking is only through valet which is $$ however handy and easy. Will be back!

I stayed in a room on Nelson street right across the road from the construction with the construction noise commencing at 7am on the Friday and Saturday mornings. If you like a sleep in then make sure you ask for a room that isn't on the Nelson street side.

Room was comfortable and clean and quite adequate. Instant coffee in room left much to be desired but hotel is right across the street from Odettes and Ugly Bagels. Bagels are great. Street noise is very apparent. Hotel is on pretty busy corner and traffic noise started about 4:30. Loud enough to wake me up. This is why I gave it a lesser rating. Location is convenient to dining, shopping and sky tower. You might have to walk a bit but I didn’t mind that as I got to see a bit of the city. Overall I would stay again knowing about the poor window quality but I would ask for a room away from noisy streets.

Unimpressed,room was more beds than room,Wi-Fi intermittent,sunset bar was closed at 9.20 p.m..No gym on site.Very little space for hanging clothes.Tiny bin for rubbish.Staff were pleasant and helpful but cannot really understand why the ratings are so high Also stayed at the Crowne plaza which although older was overall a better experience.

Sudima was perfect for our 3 night stay. Central location and easy access. The only thing I’d mention is that the shower design is not ideal. Water kept coming out of the shower so it was a slipping hazard

I normally stay at this hotel when I am in Auckland. It usually is great. This stay I was pretty disappointed. First was the front desk/customer service. They tried charging me for the room despite the fact that I had already paid online. I showed them my confirmation email and receipt. They blew it off as it was my mistake. No clarification as to why they suggested this. I thought nothing of it until the following day when I was advised there was 80 dollars worth of charges to my room. I clarified that this wasn’t correct. Once again it was dropped and blown off like it was nothing. No explanation again as to why they were trying to overcharge me… Lastly went to have a drink at 2pm on a Thursday at the rooftop bar. Despite an empty bar/restaurant they said there was no room. No explanation was given as to why. Like I said before, I like this hotel and usually recommend it to all my co-workers/friends. Just a touch of customer service would have gone a long way. Soured my experience to say the least.

Our room was not available so we were upgraded. Check in was easy and the staff very professional and friendly. Our room was clean and we opted not to have it cleaned on a daily basis. Comfy bed. We used the valet parking and it was ready and waiting for us when we needed it.

Absolutely disgusted. Heat pump too cold shower too cold. Staff walked straight into room without knocking. Treated extremely poorly. Had me removed by police over minor misunderstanding. They did not listen to me. I would not recommend this hotel to my Dog. Totally dissatisfied

The room was quiet and comfortable. Great access to the city sites and eateries. Works outside made parking awkward- getting told I shouldn’t have self-parked wasn’t the best start. Really expensive parking and breakfast. The cleaners and one of the dining room staff were lovely and friendly. The rest of them were like prancing princesses. Wouldn’t bother again.

Our stay here was amazing. We arrived around 9 am to drop off our luggage and go explore, and the staff worked hard to ensure our room would be ready around 12 pm. Not only was it ready, but they upgraded us and delivered our luggage to the room. The king bed overlooked the city and there were amenities including a face mask, lavender sleep ointment, drinking chocolate/tea and yoga mat. They had a pillow menu to pick out what kind of pillow you’d like and the bed was so comfortable. After arriving internationally, it was fantastic to be checked in early, take a shower and a nap and eat at the on-site restaurant before going back to bed. Additionally the on-site restaurant was so fantastic! Everyone was so kind, we would recommend this hotel and will look into more Sudima hotels as well.

Another fantastic Sudima hotel experience. The Auckland City is in a great location to get to the CBD on foot. The Sky Tower is a block away and the Harbour is a fifteen minute walk at the most. The staff members were fantastic and efficient and the room was both comfortable and in great condition. I have nothing but praise for both this location and the Sudima hotel chain. I only wish we had these back home! I will only stay at a Sudima on my next visit!

Nice and clean in central location. However, the shower was terrible and flooded the bathroom when you used it. Also, the hotel price includes a food and beverage voucher, but this can only be used at East restaurant, not at the Sunset bar or on room service. East restaurant was fully booked so we could not use it on a meal which was disappointing
