Upon check-in was allocated a standard room not a heritage suite. This was corrected promptly once it was brought to the attention of the staff. However they claimed this room type wasn’t communicated by Expedia to them until I showed the booking confirmation We went to the rooftop bar on the first evening but there were virtually no staff to make and serve drinks. So we left and mentioned it to reception who commented that there was a private party on that evening and they didn’t have enough staff to look after hotel guests too.

Great Location. Excellent, friendly service. The room was bright, modern & contemporary design & attractive view of the little square from the Juliet balcony. The bed was comfortable & good quality linen & towels. However our room, No5 was extremely small. There was barley room to walk around bed, especially the bottom, without almost hitting against the flat screen TV on the wall. I would have liked a chair in the room & hooks for a bath towel & robe in the bedroom, other than the one inside the shower -which you had to get into & close the shower door before you could access it. There did not seem to be a way to call a member of staff to order drinks on the roof terrace in the evening in November.

From entering the lobby and checking in, to departing after four days, everything was perfect. Dario at check-in was gracious and helpful. Every morning being greeted by Steven was a highlight! The hotel is in a great area and simply stunning.

Utroligt flot hotel… helt nyt… men med alt alt for mange ting som halter i forhold til den pris man betaler og det niveau man med rette kunne forvente af et 5 stjernet hotel. Vi boede i en suite bare for ar sætte det i perspektiv. For at nævne bare lidt * stort set ingen garderobeplads * ingen lys på badeværelse ved spejl * ingen lys på trappe foran lejlighed hvilket gjorde at min hustru faldt ned af trapperne * ingen glas i minibar * ingen do-not-disturb skilt eller anordning… hvilket gjorde at vi 2 ud af 3 eftermiddage havde personale stående i rummet under middagsluren * restaurant og rooftopbar var lukket under vores ophold * manglende aflægsplads på toilet På plus siden * Absolut fantastisk morgenmad og betjening her * fantastisk smukt hotel * endnu bedre beliggenhed

This hotel is absolutely stunning. It is maintained in a state of excellence by a truly incredible staff, who go above and beyond in everything they do and who clearly care a great deal about the facility and each guest's experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast on the patio is a delight. La Fonda was one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in, and I hope to be back one day soon.

Excellent position, small room for price paid, should make up room top area with cushions for guests, we had to do that everyday ourselves and WiFi is slow, sometimes not working. You’ll feel like you’re dining at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but at a fraction of the cost.

This is a fabulous hotel! Everything was perfect. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful. Breakfasts were fantastic and I was provided every day with beautiful gluten free bread. The location is ideal for walking around the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Location is perfect in old town with an easy walk to the beach. The staff at this hotel are the finest we’ve experienced. Everyone from front desk, housekeeping to restaurant were exceptionally professional and pleasant. Wonderful breakfast. We also had a delicious lunch. We stayed in their least expensive room and while on the small side, it had a cute little courtyard to sit outside. We highly recommend La Fonda! 5* all the way.

El hotel está muy lindo decorado, se ubica en el casco viejo de Marbella y tiene muchos restaurantes alrededor. El servicio es lo mejor, cada uno de ellos más amable que el anterior.

From entering the lobby and checking in, to departing after four days, everything was perfect. Dario at check-in was gracious and helpful. Every morning being greeted by Steven was a highlight! The hotel is in a great area and simply stunning.

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Location is perfect in old town with an easy walk to the beach. The staff at this hotel are the finest we’ve experienced. Everyone from front desk, housekeeping to restaurant were exceptionally professional and pleasant. Wonderful breakfast. We also had a delicious lunch. We stayed in their least expensive room and while on the small side, it had a cute little courtyard to sit outside. We highly recommend La Fonda! 5* all the way.

Everything was great. Ideally, the property will get valet parking in the future. The parking situation was not bad, but not ideal. Hotel and room were great as was the staff. I enjoyed the old town location and old town. On the map, things look a lot closer than they are, but did not have much of an issue with Ubers. If you are looking to stay in the Old Town, this is your spot.

Excellent position, small room for price paid, should make up room top area with cushions for guests, we had to do that everyday ourselves and WiFi is slow, sometimes not working. This hotel is absolutely stunning. It is maintained in a state of excellence by a truly incredible staff, who go above and beyond in everything they do and who clearly care a great deal about the facility and each guest's experience. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are extremely comfortable, and breakfast on the patio is a delight. La Fonda was one of the best hotels I've ever had the pleasure of staying in, and I hope to be back one day soon.

Stunning hotel in the most beautiful square of the historic part of Marbella. Beautiful breakfasts, super friendly staff. The only change I'd make is the music at breakfast which, like at most hotels, is a bit of a downer (I think the rule of thumb should be no music with lyrics). Also, they might want to have at least a small gym.

This is a fabulous hotel! Everything was perfect. The staff were so welcoming and friendly. The room was beautiful. Breakfasts were fantastic and I was provided every day with beautiful gluten free bread. The location is ideal for walking around the old town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Rooms with a view and top of the range electronics - Loewe TV, Marshall speaker - if that's what you're looking for. The rooftop bar is an excellent suntrap and you can still order your drinks from downstairs via WhatsApp if it's closed. Superb restaurant dinner menu with excellent wines. Excellent, healthy and varied breakfast, good coffee and lots of fruit, yoghurt, pastries and eggs and bacon etc available to order - what more could you ask!
