The Watson was a nice place. It had a beautiful pool and amazing breakfast. Staff was very attentive. Location did not offer much but taxis were readily available.

New hotel, well kept and smells delightful everywhere! Rooms big and comfy beds. Great shower. Breakfast was extensive and lots on offer. Easy location to be picked up for HALONG bay activities. Only Downside was the gym, poor air con and no water or spray to clean equipment, needs improvement. However overall I’d recommend staying here

Exceptional 5 star hotel with a big restaurant/breakfast area with lots of different tasty food, and fantastic pool with well priced cocktails and other drinks. Nice lobby and concierge. Very nice, helpful and friendly staff. A special thanks to Duc Trung at the pool area and Duc Anh making beautiful margaritas!

The swimming’s pool water temperature was too cold, the hot spa damaged and closed due to the storms. At the time that I was searched for the Hotels to stay, I didn’t know the surrounding area of the Hotel was so much damaged, it looks like a war zones. So depressing to have the view looking outside of the windows to observe these Terrible views.

We had a great stay at The Watson overall. The hotel feels brand new and is very quiet, comfortable and modern. The spa is excellent, with good treatments overall and a nice steam sauna area. The masseuse was on her phone which was not good and I hope management reinforces that its not acceptable in the future. The pool area is beautiful with a good bar and good service. The room is comfortable- we booked a luxury suite and loved the space it afforded. The only weird things were the bathroom had no standing shower- only a tub with a freehand shower handle which was not great. Also there's no balcony furniture? we ended up putting our chair outside so enjoy the view. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again!

The Watson Premium Halong Hotel was marvelous. As it's new building it was very clean and the interior was sophisticated. The swimming pool on the top floor with sea view was fantastic and the facilities were perfect. The bar next the pool had variety of drinks and the bartender was very friendly. All the hotel staffs were extremely kind and helpful. I really appreciate them ,especially concierge, Hannh who was so organised and gave us very useful information.

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. The pool area and rooftop bar are absolutely amazing with a stunning view over the bay. The staff is the absolute nicest. Very helpful individuals, extremely friendly and supportive. The rooms are spacious and clean. The gym is also perfect.

We were very happy with Watson. Room and hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and good shower pressure. Hotel provides most bathroom necessities you may have forgotten except shampoo and conditioner and soap - these, they did not provide. Breakfast was decent, plenty of options, buy food was nothing outstanding. Over all, well definitely stay here again if given opportunity. Especially for the price of $70/night for a large room with balcony & water view!

Terribly dusty. After trying two rooms I believe it was from the aircon which was weak, and needs the filters to be changed however I did find surfaces with a lot of dust. The beds were super hard. Otherwise a solid stay with good service

The Watson Premium Halong Hotel is a new, beautiful, modern and high hotel in Ha Long. The hotel has 25 floors. There is a Sky Bar and a pool on the 25th floor. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is an amazing view of the bay with islands from the hotel room on the 22nd floor. The bathroom is spacious, clean and offers a sufficient number of towels. The staff is very friendly and willing to help or advise. We asked for extra pillows and they brought them to us within minutes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. At check-in, we received a "Welcome drink" at the reception. Breakfast offered a wide selection of food and fruit. Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience. I would love it if the breakfast was served till 10:00 instead of 9:30. As a European I like to sleep longer on vacation.

This is a good hotel in Ha Long. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The pool area is also a good place to relax if you need some down time. The service is generally good - there was sometimes a language barrier but that is to be expected. The restaurant is fine, breakfast is varied. For lunch/dinner it was quite expensive (by Vietnam standards) but there aren’t really many other options to eat in the area. A couple minor points that could be improved: the gym (generally good for a hotel gym, but the AC didn’t seem to work, which made for an uncomfortable work out), pillows in the room (you only get two, and while I did get extra on asking, I would expect 4 to be standard in a 5* hotel). Overall, a good stay.

We booked this as a base as we were not keen on the reviews we saw for the cruise boats that are the standard way to see Halong Bay, We found if you go to the cruise port in the morning you can book a day trip and see just as much of the bay up close. For us this seemed a better option, rather than rushing on and off a cruise boat with all our bags, etc. Food and drinks at the Watson were good and the breakfast which was included at no additional cost was excellent and international in nature. Something for everyone and lots of it. Rooms were very nice, Pay the small extra charge for a bay / sea view. The hotel should consider two chairs and a small table for the balcony area. That would have made it quite perfect. Would stay here again,

We had an amazing stay here for 5 nights, after we left another nearby hotel due to a bad night. Son (general manager) took us on a tour of the hotel before we checked out of our previous hotel, and ensured that we were as happy and comfortable as possible. Room was perfect - amazing view of the bay, powerful shower, exceptionally clean and a bed that was so comfortable we slept so well... in addition to it being so peaceful. Pool area was great and had the sun all day, quite a few sunbeds (does get busy after 3pm), and relaxing music playing. There is also a snack menu to have food by the pool, including baguettes, chips, pizza, etc for reasonable prices. Bar was beautiful and excellent cocktails. Breakfast was enjoyable, high quality food available. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

The Watson Premium Halong Hotel is a new, beautiful, modern and high hotel in Ha Long. The hotel has 25 floors. There is a Sky Bar and a pool on the 25th floor. The rooms are spacious and clean. There is an amazing view of the bay with islands from the hotel room on the 22nd floor. The bathroom is spacious, clean and offers a sufficient number of towels. The staff is very friendly and willing to help or advise. We asked for extra pillows and they brought them to us within minutes. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. At check-in, we received a "Welcome drink" at the reception. Breakfast offered a wide selection of food and fruit. Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience. I would love it if the breakfast was served till 10:00 instead of 9:30. As a European I like to sleep longer on vacation.

The hotel was great value for money. The voews from.tje pool were stunning and staff really helpful and freindly. We enjoyed our 3 day break here. Breakfast was very nice with lots of choice. Maid service was very efficient also. Big thanks to Jenny on reception for makimg sure we were ok and helping is arrange a trip and late checkout. The life guard was also very freindly amd helpful.

The Watson is absolutely gorgeous, and simply divine. The lobby is stunning. The buffet breakfast is delicious with many stations and a wide variety of foods to choose from. The outdoor pool and sky bar on the top floor is breathtaking. Most of all, the staff was amazing and so helpful solving our issues with airline reservations. Thumbs up to Joyce Dang for her professionalism and “top-notch”performance. She went above and beyond so thank you. If I go back to HaLong Bay, I would not hesitate to book this 5-star hotel in advance.

Really happy with the service. Staff were always welcoming and helpful. They organised a bike rental for me promptly when I called reception. The bar staff were really friendly and happy to have a conversation and recommend drinks. Room was nice. Pool had great views from the rooftop. Buffet breakfast had a nice selection. Overall, great.

The hotel is set up for large coach loads of visitors - lots of Chinese guest when we were there. The staff tend to shout which is unlike most Vietnamese people. The beautiful rooftop pool was spoilt by playing mainly drum and bass with the bass at the maximum level, we bought drinks to sit in the bar but it was so loud we moved to reception. If it were rock music I would have stayed. The rooms are comfortable but you have to request additional pillows (only 1 each provided) toilet roll must be precious as not readily replaced and just 2 tea bags and a ready make coffee mixture that’s so sweet it’s undrinkable. Breakfast had many options but few for a western pallet and the worst coffe I have ever tasted, the breads very good. The staff just don’t really care they say yes as they assume that’s what you want to hear but then don’t do anything, I asked 4 times re noise but no one did anything about it. It’s nearly new so looks great, well situated with many restaurants in walking distance as is the night market but it’s not 5 star standard on service. Great views and comfy bed but I was glad to leave it.

The Watson Hotel in Halong fully deserves its 5-star rating. The staff is exceptional, particularly at reception desk where two ladies went above and beyond to assist me. I want to especially commend Joycee and Jenny, who are true assets to the hotel. The food is outstanding, both for dinner and breakfast, with a plentiful breakfast buffet. The junior suite I stayed in was spacious and offered a stunning view of the bay. The hotel also features a well-equipped gym, and my room was impeccably cleaned throughout my stay. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit. Highly recommended!

A great new property and beautifully appointed. Super breakfast. Rooftop pool with stunning views. Very friendly and efficient service. It is in a quiet location which was not ideal for us. We would have preferred to be closer to the old city, but there are restaurants and a market close by. Grab taxi can take you anywhere!

View from the room and rooftop pool were great. Everything was clean and the hotel seems new. We loved this area, but note it is not in the main tourist area. We walked into the neighborhood for dinner, really liked Mangos Restaurant. Rented a motorbike and had free parking. Very happy we chose the Watson.

We were very happy with Watson. Room and hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was comfy and good shower pressure. Hotel provides most bathroom necessities you may have forgotten except shampoo and conditioner and soap - these, they did not provide. Breakfast was decent, plenty of options, buy food was nothing outstanding. Over all, well definitely stay here again if given opportunity. Especially for the price of $70/night for a large room with balcony & water view!

Exceptional 5 star hotel with a big restaurant/breakfast area with lots of different tasty food, and fantastic pool with well priced cocktails and other drinks. Nice lobby and concierge. This is a good hotel in Ha Long. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The pool area is also a good place to relax if you need some down time. The service is generally good - there was sometimes a language barrier but that is to be expected. The restaurant is fine, breakfast is varied. For lunch/dinner it was quite expensive (by Vietnam standards) but there aren’t really many other options to eat in the area. A couple minor points that could be improved: the gym (generally good for a hotel gym, but the AC didn’t seem to work, which made for an uncomfortable work out), pillows in the room (you only get two, and while I did get extra on asking, I would expect 4 to be standard in a 5* hotel). Overall, a good stay.

Nice clean property with very helpful staff. Biggest disappointment was food. On arrival we ordered a pizza to our room and it was pretty terrible. The base had been baked to a crisp before any toppings had been added, which ruined it completely. Breakfast was also disappointing.

This was our treat hotel on our holiday, it was expensive by Vietnamese standards, the breakfast was good, the pool amazing. The ceiling fan in our room didn’t work and the toilet overflowing was bad. We had to sit in our room and wait for maintenance, with no offer of even a free water from reception except apologies.
