I believe that 138 Liberdade Hotel was the right choice for us as a middle aged couple. It is near to the city center but away from crowds. There are plenty of restaurants after a stroll and hotel's restaurant is also nice. Breakfast is superb with many choices. Lounge is very nice with famous nata desert and coffee available 24/7. Hotel personel is very polite and helpful. There is a metro station nearby. The hotel also offers free parking service.

We loved our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. It’s in a gorgeous neighborhood across from the metro and walkable to a lot of attractions. We had a rental car and parking with the valet was seamless. I would highly recommend the hotel for easy access, location, great service and excellent breakfast.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Excellent location on Liberdade. Smaller boutique hotel. Great service, friendly staff. Chic lobby, bar and dining room. Classy. Live piano and violin during evening dinner period. Very clean. Food quality good. Breakfast buffet was great. Access to metro within 100 metres. Weather was too cool for the outside terrace area. Fitness room is spartan. Room was as expected. Overall, it meets its 5-star rating. Would stay there again.

Nice sized room, great staff and bar and breakfast. I really enjoyed that. great atmosphere. i loved listening to live music. a few suggestions for improvement: more comfortable chairs in the lobby. also the sink is a bit small. plenty of space in the area so include extra sink or even counter top. also the shower was a bit hard to get in and out of and set the temp before entering. but other than that it was a lovely hotel

Its in a great location for seeing Lisbon without being in the center of the old town. Everything about the hotel was very nice, but unfortunately there was a bad odor in the lobby and hallways. Not sure if that was a hotel issue or a sewage issue in the city. it was extremely hot in Lisbon for the 3 nights we were there (100 degrees!) so that may have affected that as well.

I recently stayed at this hotel in Lisbon, and there were some highlights. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of a vibrant area with lots to explore. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, making check-in a breeze. However, I did encounter some significant issues. The corridors had a persistent, unpleasant smell that was quite off-putting. It seemed like the hotel was trying to mask it, but the result was just an overwhelming combination of odors. I paid extra for a patio, hoping for a nice spot to relax, but it turned out to be right next to the HVAC system, which made it loud and uncomfortably hot. Additionally, there was a strong garbage smell coming from the basement, unfortunately close to the gym, so we couldn’t even use the facilities. If you’re sensitive to odors, I would recommend considering another place. Even with a perfume shop inside the hotel trying to cover up the smells, it just made things worse. Overall, while the area and staff were great, the odor issues really impacted my experience.

O café da manhã é delicioso, variado e completo, e a equipe foi muito atenciosa em guardar nossas malas para o retorno. No entanto, na segunda hospedagem, nos ofereceram um quarto no anexo. Ao visitá-lo, percebemos que não havia privacidade alguma: no primeiro andar, hóspedes tomando café da manhã têm visão direta para dentro do quarto, o que é extremamente invasivo. Nos andares superiores do anexo, os quartos não possuem vista, o que também compromete a experiência. A estadia nos quartos principais foi impecável, mas a acomodação no anexo não corresponde ao padrão de qualidade que o hotel oferece. Recomendo a hospedagem, mas acredito que o anexo merece melhorias para garantir o mesmo nível de conforto e privacidade.

A equipe de funcionarios muito boa. Cafe da manha com poucas opcoes O predio nao tem tratamento acustico , nao nos proporcionando noites tranquilas de sono. A todo momento houve barulho forte dos quartos adjacentes, superiores e ouve se tudo o q se passa nos corredores. Em l8sboa ha opcoes muito melhores. Sem contar que na primeira noite o aquecedor nao funcionou corretamente, quase morri de frio.

Beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant and free breakfast. The location is very good,you can walk pretty much everywhere,and the rooms are spacious and very comfora. Only negative is the lack of sound-proofing,it’s very easy to hear people in the gall and neighbouring rooms. Nota huge problem,but for the absolute first class accomodations and amenities,the relatively noisy room was a bit of a distraction.

I would have given this place 5 stars but the service at night was not good. We called the front desk 3 times to ask for pillow and they never got there. The front desk said that they are checking on late checkout for us but never followed up on the request.

I cannot begin to tell you how outstanding this facility and hotel was. Ines and Pedro along with the staff and the dining area or all beyond accommodating. Everyone here went out of their way every day to make us feel welcome down to the coffee to figuring out how to get from city to city and not end up in a city where the weather was very poor. I cannot recommend this hotel more and will continue to recommend it when I get back into the states.

The location of 138 Liberdade is amazing. The gentleman at check-in was friendly and efficient. Unfortunately, the noise from the hallways and other rooms made the stay challenging. Beyond that, the restaurant needs major attention at breakfast. The first day, we were presented with menus to order cooked items. The second day, no menus, lights off, coffee machine broken, and long waits to get coffee orders. The inconsistency was not only frustrating but also unprofessional. I would not consider the property 5 star as it needs significant improvements with regards to service and noise control.

Avenida Liberdade is the main shopping area in Lisbon, and the 138 is in the heart of it. Everything about the hotel was perfect for us: front desk, the rest of the staff, the restaurant and the parking (since we were renting a car to drive to Barcelona). The room and the restaurant were great.

Wonderful hotel in a great location on Avenida de Liberdade. Great walking avenue, with lots of dining options, incredible shopping, very convenient to the Metro. Staff was very friendly (as is almost everyone from Portugal) and helpful. They made numerous arrangements for activities, all of which were top notch. We chose to be along the avenue, but if you don't like street noise, ask for a room off the street.

The hotel is conveiniently located on the upscale Liberdade avenue with many of the Lisbon attractions located within walking distance. We found all the staff to be friendly and forthcoming. Special thanks to Ines (inez?) at the front desk for helping to pay my parking ticket using her personal phone. The included breakfast was good and offered a wide variety of treats. Our room was nice with two fairly large windows facing the lively street but without letting in any noise. We thought that the interior was a bit too dark with so much black color being applied everywhere. We would stay at 138 Liberdade again.

Ein kleineres, aber sehr feines 5-Sterne Hotel in der Avenida da Liberdade mit sehr gutem Service und hervorragenden Speisen. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl dort. Das Deluxe Doppelzimmermit Balkon ist sehr geräumig und hat einen schönen Ausblick. Alles tipptopp sauber. Das Frühstück ist super, alles frisch und das Buffet wird ständig aufgefüllt. Dazu gibt es noch eine Karte mit frisch zubereiten köstlichen Gerichten. Unbedingt probieren! Direkt vor dem Hotel befindet sich die Metro 👍 Bis zur Innenstadt sind es circa 10 bis 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Der überaus freundliche Service im Hotel hat uns sehr geholfen, z.B. beim Finden einer offenen Apotheke mitten in der Nacht. Herzlichen Dank. Wir können das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiter empfehlen 👍

A beautiful hotel in an excellent location. The rooms were spacious and well designed.The staff was absolutely outstanding! Every need was taken care of within minutes. The food at the restaurant was delicious, complemented by beautiful live violin music. I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and we will be recommending it to all our friends.
