Many things were very good. The people, cleanliness and overall room were good. The location was also good, with Walmart being minutes away, and some restaurants near the hotel. The challenges were the WiFi, which would connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect, etc. So we had to use our hotspot to do any work. In addition the 1 elevator for the entire place, was down 2 of the 5 days, and we were are the 3rd floor, and both have knee issues. The water pressure was not very good either. The gym may good for some people, but with just dumbbells and a couple of cardio machines, I ended up having to pay to go to a gym while I was there. Overall it was “ok” for the money.

The pool was filthy. The water was green, so swimming was not an option. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a moderate number of choices. The kitchenette gave us the opportunity to make our own meals

We stayed four nights at this property. Property has a decent hot and cold breakfast that was great. The indoor pool and hot tub was fantastic with plenty of seats around to enjoy. The fitness center and laundry room were small but highly functional The room has a two burner stove, full size fridg and freezer, microwave and dishwasher and was stocked with all the dishes you would need. Staff was great and only issue we had was a burned out lightbulb and they had no replacements. Overall this is a great value, super location south of downtown Durango and one block from a Walmart. It did lack outdoor patio furniture and a BBQ grill which would have been nice.

Walmart, Dunkin’ Donuts, Freddy’s, and dominos was close to the hotel. Parking lot was mid, only because we was very limited in where we could park to get into the hotel. Pool didn’t have many people when we went but do not turn the hot tub on, watched lint and someone’s hair float around in the hot mess. Amazing service with the workers, they helped the best of their abilities when needed towels, and the breakfast. Also, very impressed on the room size, was larger than I thought it was going to be, very clean bathroom (super plus!!!!) and the dishes in the room looked to be spotless, (I always wash the dishes before my kids use them). Overall, was an amazing stay. Let me go back and change some of them stars, 😅😅😅

We had a great stay here. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. The breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. My complaint is with the pool. We booked this hotel specifically for the pool as my wife is on a strict exercise plan for her diabetes and I recently had hip replacement and use the pool for therapy. The staff indicated the heater had been down for quite some time and had no idea when it would be fixed. This is unacceptable!! To say the pool was cold would be an understatement.

The spaciousness of the room made our extended stay quite comfortable. Breakfast each morning was lovely, however I highly recommend avoiding news programs on the tv. Nice music would be better for all. I was disappointed in the pool/hot-tub. The pool water was frigid, the jets in the hot-tub did not work. When I asked it the pool was suppose to be heated one response was 'will have maintenance look at it' and the other was 'I don't know.' One reason I booked your hotel was to have access to an indoor pool for health reasons.

Like: Staff friendly and helpful. Comfort of bed. Room was spacious, beds plus sofa. Loved kitchenette with full size refrigerator. Bath sink seperated/outside from tub & toilet, allowed multiple people to get ready at once. Hot breakfast was awesome. Dislike: Pool & Spa need resurfaced/cleaned. Because of browning under to waterline, some people thought the pool dirty, so would not get in. This was the only reason for not giving a rating of "Excellent".

However our tv screen was fractured about 5 inches and was noticeable when it was on. The front desk seemed to know about it. Also there were spots of spackle that hadn’t been painted over in the bathroom.

Most of the staff I interacted with were pleasant, however upon check-in, the front desk staff were unfriendly, unwelcoming, and seemed that I, the customer, interrupted their day - and as much told me so with the very few words they spoke. No hello, no thank-you, nothing but curt instructions. The room was nice and clean.

The morning staff were very rude and if I could’ve I would’ve canceled our stay right at trying to check in, however, the afternoon/evening staff were amazing and the same happened on Saturday. If it weren’t for the evening staff we would never stay there again. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable until night (there was a loud noise that shook/vibrated the bed and couldn’t sleep. Almost sounded and felt like it was coming from the bottom of the hotel.

We really really enjoyed our stay here. Front desk attendant was very friendly and welcoming. Comfy bed the mini kitchen was awesome. Breakfast was delish. I would highly recommend to anyone needing a place in Durango!

Staff here was rude. Safety and customer service clearly don’t matter to this hotel. My parents were given the key to an occupied room and were treated poorly when they returned to get a key for a vacant room. Later that evening while I was putting my small kids to bed our door opened and someone entered our room. The front desk gave someone checking in a key to our room. This could have gone badly in so many ways. We asked to speak to a manager to make sure we were safe staying here and were told one was not available. We were told we could email him and he may get back to us next week, well after our trip is over. Needless to say we were on edge and nervous the rest of our stay. I worried about the comfort and safety of my family and also worried about leaving anything unattended in our room. I will never stay here again and will warn everyone I know against it as well. Completely unacceptable.

Pretty good hotel to stay near Durango. Not pretentious, but far less expensive than downtown hotels. Just within 10 min drive from the downtown. If you want to save some bucks but be near the historic downtown, this is the place to stay. Also, the hotel is off 550 highway and very quiet. The only downside is very limited breakfast. That's why I only gave 4/5 stars for my review

At first, I was sad that I could not get a hotel in town, but then I realized this hotel was the perfect location. The constant traffic of the train was not an issue in this hotel. Mainstay was very quiet. Very clean I would stay here again.
At first, I was sad that I could not get a hotel in town, but then I realized this hotel was the perfect location. The constant traffic of the train was not an issue in this hotel. Mainstay was very quiet. Very clean I would stay here again.

Walmart, Dunkin’ Donuts, Freddy’s, and dominos was close to the hotel. Parking lot was mid, only because we was very limited in where we could park to get into the hotel. Pool didn’t have many people when we went but do not turn the hot tub on, watched lint and someone’s hair float around in the hot mess. Amazing service with the workers, they helped the best of their abilities when needed towels, and the breakfast. Also, very impressed on the room size, was larger than I thought it was going to be, very clean bathroom (super plus!!!!) and the dishes in the room looked to be spotless, (I always wash the dishes before my kids use them). Overall, was an amazing stay. Let me go back and change some of them stars, 😅😅😅

Beautiful area for a hotel, I love the kitchenette in the room more hotels need that. The area being on the south end of Durango is lovely as it's is quite and cozy and not far of a drive from anywhere.

Very nice, new property a couple of miles south of Durango. It is in a relatively new area, but still had some shopping and a few places to eat without having to drive into town if you didn’t want. There is access to the river walk close by, and the drive into town is only about 5 minutes. We actually enjoyed not being in the middle of the busy tourist area of the city. But, if that is your thing, you would likely prefer a different location.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Staff at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. However our tv screen was fractured about 5 inches and was noticeable when it was on. The front desk seemed to know about it. Also there were spots of spackle that hadn’t been painted over in the bathroom.

The room was great - had everything we could have wanted. Very clean. The only disappointment was the breakfast. They were out of waffle mix more than an hour before breakfast closed. The regular coffee was almost empty and not replenished, so I left what was left for others. The attendant didn’t seem to care much.

The hotel is fine. It is very quiet. The room is very basic, but the beds are very comfortable. The one downside: I booked a hotel with free breakfast, it’s what I do when we travel as a family ,get a big breakfast before heading out for the day). This was not good at all. Two dry cereal, Cocoa Puffs and Life cereal. Oatmeal packets, but the hot water available for tea not hot enough to make it. The only fruit most days: Whole apples. Bananas showed up on last day. The very cheapest kind of yogurt with almost no protein (one flavor all week: cherry vanilla). Waffle maker. White bread for toast. They claimed to have grab and go option from 5-7, but did not. No outdoor areas save for one small table facing the parking lot.

Let's start with the good stuff. This property was easily accessible, clean rooms, and very comfortable beds. The breakfast options weren't to bad and there was definitely a variety. The surrounding area was quiet and we even walked to Walmart which was nearby. The one major thing that bothered me was seeing a young man working in the food area. He was taking out the trash, as he was walking by a customer asked him to refill the pancake mix. He grabbed the mix, didn't wash his hands, refilled the container and popped it back in. To top it off, he was not in uniform, had a hair pick/comb in his fro with no hairnet. It is definitely something that needs to be addressed. The other concern was the pool, it definitely needs a good cleaning, maybe re-surfacing? Seemed like the bottom was peeling.

We had a great stay here. The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet. The breakfast was good. Eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. My complaint is with the pool. We booked this hotel specifically for the pool as my wife is on a strict exercise plan for her diabetes and I recently had hip replacement and use the pool for therapy. The staff indicated the heater had been down for quite some time and had no idea when it would be fixed. This is unacceptable!! To say the pool was cold would be an understatement.

The price was right for a family of 4 and we immensely enjoyed the breakfast. The selection of breakfast foods was wonderful. Made a great start for our days of exploring the Durango area. Fantastic hotel…but the day we were there the elevator was broken. Not a big deal for us as we were able to carry our luggage up several flights of stairs…but probably a big issue for older folks who maybe can’t do stairs or struggle physically.
