The property was fine there was construction going on outside of the building and the pool wasn’t conveniently placed. You had to leave the hotel go through a parking lot to get to it. The hotel met our needs for what we needed as we were passing through Reno only.

If I had 1 complaint about the property is that the card tables closed at 130am and several people around me including myself want to still play. From talking with others, this forced them to take their business elsewhere. I don't think that was good for the overall business of the property.

Staff, room, cleanliness was excellent. Cons: 1. there was a concert nearby that from the 10+ floors you can hear the loud music from outside late into the night. Couldn’t sleep until the music died down. 2. We tried the dinner buffet and it was not fresh so we don’t recommend the buffet. 3. Disappointed to find the pool was located outside of the hotel building surrounded by construction dust everywhere.

Property was stunning! Very pleasant surprise. Not many places to eat. Hanna’s Table had great food. The only downside was the swimming pool. The water is no longer heated.

Another year at the J for Hot August Nights. The place gets full and parking is scarce. Many secondary lots across the street etc, not that convenient. The garage still has the top floor closed due to construction but the sign telling you spaces available includes the ones up there. Many of us HAN participants would like to see designated parking for classic cars with 24/7 security. Or at minimom night time security.

J Resort is a great place to stay if you are staying in Reno but don't want to be in the hustle and bustle of the bigger casinos. While they have plenty of machines and tables if you want to gamble, it is within walking distance of the River Walk and other local businesses. The El Dorado and Silver Legacy are also within a short walk if you want to visit there. The hotel is very clean/well kept and the staff is very nice. Parking was very easy as well with both garage and outside parking. The food at The Buffet is okay; the staff is great, the restaurant is clean, but the food is mid at best. My only other gripe is that the fitness center is a bit small and is located in Aspen tower instead of the ground floor, so it's a bit of a trek if you aren't staying in that tower. Overall I recommend staying at the J Resort, especially if you like to be in a walkable location. We'll definitely be back the next time we stay in Reno.

Im so sorry that I booked a hotel room at this Hotel to sleep one night while visiting my Brother at a near by Hospital, unfortunately we arrived late to Check in and we were already tired, when we received our keys the guest was complainig and yawning thats it was olmost time for her to go Home. Any ways.when we got to our room we found dirty socks layng around on the floor ,candy wrapers everywhere on the floor and the toilet seat stained with like what looked like orange drink stains on it, one used rool of toilet paper and a smear of poop on the sink couter edge ,it was gross. By now we just want to go to bed tired of driving from California and been at the hospital so we didn want to go back to the desk and make a complaint, so now I just hope to get my security deposit back. And hope that someone inspect this rooms before they are cleared as ready to be occupied. Good luck to J Resort but I will think about it twice next time before booking a room here again. Thank you.

The room needed vacuuming on first also entering and the same for the hallway carpet dirty all 3 days, but the beds were clean and comfortable and the rest of the furniture was clean. The A/C/HEATER unit needed the filters cleanedas they were very dirty.

Got to the room and had no towels. Stayed the weekend and our trashed and towels were never cleaned. Room was nice but they need to pay attention to their guest more. Had to call twice to get clean towels because no o e ever showed up.

The balcony was lovely, except a dirty sock and cigarette butts on the ground. The room was clean, except the phone was covered in dust. We had no hot water and I tried to call the front desk, which is why I picked up the phone. It was absolute filth. Shane in J Paul's Steakhouse is wonderful, we will go back just to see him.

Our Aspen tower room had stains and crusty stuff on the pillows, we mentioned this to the front desk & were given a different room in the same tower. We specifically booked and paid more for this tower to have the wet bar/larger refrigerator....but our second room lacked those amenities.... we questioned this and complained 2x and nothing was done. The second room was also dirty, there were hairs on the shower shelf, the desk counter had sticky stuff, and the table tops were dusty.

Room was clean, unfortunately the room I was initially checed into was absolultely horrible. It backed up to the elevator shaft and constantly had horrible banging noise in the room so much so that I could not sleep and had to go downstairs at 4:30am and request a different room. The night audtior knew exactly what I was referring to and even stated she receives frequent complaints regarding that room (788).

Loved staying at this hotel in downtown Reno, walking distance to everything! The room is modern & very comfortable, and had a city view. There's plenty of free parking. Two restaurants on-site & the casino on the first floor. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice and new looking hotel and casino. Large well equipped rooms with a good sized refrigerator and microwave with a nice kitchenette (no hotplate). Only issue was the elevator noise even from several rooms away. It seemed you could hear the cables (or maybe the door mechanisms?) reverberating through the ceiling. Download a white noise app.

great hotel. fast checkin, everyone's very helpful. Left a message for housekeeping for a set of bedsheets. Got them within 1/2hr, even late at night. Only reason for 4 star is that shower water in the morning is either very hot or burning hot. We had to leave early in the morning so didn't have time to report it.

Great price for a newly renovated hotel. I liked the free parking. I had a mixed experience at the front desk. My room was not ready at 3 pm. I asked for some accomodation like access to the pool but was declined by a stern and stressed hotel employee. I asked the employee to call me when the room was ready, she declined claiming to be too busy which I'm sure she was. I checked back and was greeted by a well trained employee who offered both the pool access and offer to call me when my room was ready without me having to ask. Housekeeping seems to be stretched thin as well. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the stay for what it was, a casino hotel

For being a VIP hotel, this was a terrible experience. We were in town for 1 night for a special event so we hoped there was a chance to check in at 2:15 (reservation started at 3:00) and the staff informed us that we would have to wait until 3:00, no problem. We tried to check in again shortly after 3:00 and they sent the room still wasn’t ready, they said it’d be at least another hour. Waited another hour, and was told it still wasn’t ready. We weren’t able to check in until 5:00 PM. The hotel staff didn’t even offer any sort of apology or resolution. I was told that rooms aren’t guaranteed at the time of check in, and that “at least it wasn’t 6:00” or they could do something for us. Then our reservation was through noon, house keeping was opening in the door at 9:20 so they could try and start to clean out the room. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, there’s plenty other hotels in the area with exceptionally better customer service & amenities than this “resort”

Check-in was a bit of a struggle because the self check-in machine wasn’t working for me. Had to wait in a long line, but staff were very nice. The room was super clean and comfortable! Felt updated and fancy. In a very walkable location close to lots of great food options. Will likely stay here again the next time I pass through!

Traveling for business, so unfortunately I can't comment on the casino experience. However for me the easy access to food, interstates and anything I needed really made for a prime location. The staff was great. The casino does smell like smoke, you may not like it, it reminds me of my grandma.

There was a very loud concert next door, which went until after 10pm. We were exhausted and wanted to sleep. There was also people noise either from either the hall or the adjacent room. So not very quiet for two tired travelers. We didn't do any of the properties amenities, besides the free parking.

It is a very nice property. You can tell that a lot of thought went into the renovation. The buffet was a disappointment to say the least. We went on Friday fish fry… all the fish fry food was cold and rubbery. Prime rib was dry and overcooked, and the crab legs were served cold (you had to ask for them to be warmed up) The casino is

Highly recommend J’s while in Reno. Great value for the money. And we were there on Tuesday night, which is buy one get one free for the buffet, which is also a spectacular value. Looking forward to the casino adding a craps table. J’s is obviously investing heavily in helping to revitalize downtown Reno, and they are apparently having a very positive impact.

Everything about the J Resort was excellent with the exception of the coffee shop, "Hanna's Table" This is the second time we have attempted to eat a meal at the restaurant and both times the food was bad. There was very few people at the restaurant but it still took over 40 minutes to get our food and when it finally arrived it was cold! I will stay at the J on any future visits to Reno but I will never eat at Hanna's table again.

The staff is awesome! Room service is not offered. There are no tea bags in the room, but there is coffee. The buffet was horrible. Hannah's table advertised baked ziti, it was not baked, it was soupy and bread was not given or an option. The eggs Benedict was pretty good though.
