Had a wonderful time. Aside from an awesome room, the best were the dedicated butlers that always available. We could order in our room anytime we wanted, all included. We could also enjoy the activities and restaurants at their sister hotel next door which is a short walking distance. Thanks!

Unique was only restaurant at Palafitos Ocean was not swimmable and smells around the area on the beach not so good ( poor conditions in that department), room didn’t have iron, around the pool no one is asking for drinks, cleanliness at the pool poor. Butlers have a nice smile but work is small. Spa excellent. Entertainment 5 out of 10 Overall 5 out of 10

I must say this was one of favorite trips! Always wanted to do this and just decided it was time. Can’t say enough about the accommodations, atmosphere, service, food, and friendly staff. The grounds people worked so hard everyday to keep it beautiful. Includes private airport shuttle to pristine Maroma Beach with access to your personal cabanas available with picnic lunch. Plus you have access to all restaurants, bars, and pools at adjacent sister property, El Dorado Maroma. Our bungalow included several glass bottom floors, stocked minibars, and anytime free room service for breakfast, lunch or dinner on your balcony (complete with private infinity pool, outdoor shower, lower deck with direct stair access to the beautiful blue water) and your personal butler to help with all reservations and requests. Completely pampered. Best EVER!

Right from touch down at the airport we were treated so well. The staff and service was exceptional. From your personal butler to the property maintenance staff, everyone was so friendly all the time. The attention to detail and cleanliness was amazing and every request was fulfilled. Thank you Janet and Aldo as well as the transportation guy in the resort, and everyone else for making it such a pleasurable trip. The food at the resturant was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service snacks were also amazing. The property and amenities were great including the spa, beach and pools. They worked tirelessly go get rid of the sargassium that washed ashore. We will definatly be back and add on a few extra days.

Palafitos was an unforgettable experience!!! The beach is shallow so the waves are never big. Staying on the water is magical. The Palafitos area is "quite luxury" style. EVERYTHING is designed to make sure you have a relaxing experience. The restaurant is wonderful. Though there are other restaurants on the property, we only visited the Caribbean once, and it couldn't even compare to Palafitos. You can have your lunch brought to you to your Bali bed. Having breakfast on our balcony was delightful. Having a butler was a nice touch. Fernanda was very attentive! Alberto was very friendly and helpful, remembered everyone's name. The beach attendant stole the show-Outstanding, excellent!!! He definitely loves his job. Made our stay extra special!!! Palafitos restaurant breakfast and lunch manager was so kind and went an extra mile 🙌 ALL Palafitos staff were next level, compared to other resorts we stayed at. There was seaweed, but they work SO HARD to get rid of it. It's going to be hard to beat this experience. Thank you Palafitos!!!!

Loved our stay at Palafitos. Pros: the service is excellent. Very, very nice staff. Our Butlers were over the top amazing. My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. Fernando went out of his way to deliver bottles to our room. William always made sure our breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Eating on the deck overlooking the ocean was a favorite. Cannot get any better than the bungalows. The private deck and plunge pool was so nice. Used the outdoor shower. Just a step into the beautiful ocean. The beaches were clean. Our butlers made sure there was a Bali bed available for lunch and an afternoon siesta. No stress in getting the perfect beach location. Service on the beach was amazing. Food was great. This is the place for you if you have allergies. My husband is gluten allergic. All menu items were labeled. Staff always asked about allergies and assured us when the food was delivered that it was in fact gluten free. Sooo nice. All the food tasted great. Never had a bad meal. Most quiet and relaxing resort we have ever been to. Our butler helped us book a tour of Tulum ruins through Lomas. Very easy process and we were able to design our day and had a tour guide, Jesus Huet, all day to ourselves- was excellent! Cons: not really a con but just a note- the butlers are so attentive that they come around a lot during the day. Use the ‘do not disturb’ door hanger if you do not want to be disturbed. Nothing bad to say about Palafitos. Would definitely come back!

What an absolute incredible experience to get away and be spoiled by wonderful people. The bungalows are beautiful and clean. The staff is very accommodating! Shout out to Alberto, Daniel and Janet who accommodated all of our needs and wants. The Palafitos restaurant hands down the best restaurant at Maroma Beach! The beach itself is serene and breathtaking. I can keep going on and on but I HIGHLY recommend you see it for yourself. Def worth it! Tip: book on Black Friday, travel Tuesday deal!

WOW What an absolutely exceptional experience. The bungalows are luxurious and filled with peekaboo windows to the water below. The private balcony and pools are the cherry on top; if we were at the room I was in the pool. The outdoor shower and Jacuzzi tub make for the best bathing experiences. The service is absolutely top notch, our butlers Janet and Pilar went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The Palafitos restaurant is a dining experience like no other. The multi course meals are works of art and if you are lucky enough to eat during a themed night, it is an experience you will literally never forget. The views are incredible and all amenities are easily accessible and readily available. You will absolutely not regret booking here, I cannot recommend this hotel higher. Before the end of our stay we were already planning our next stay here.

Loved our stay at Palafitos. Pros: the service is excellent. Very, very nice staff. Our Butlers were over the top amazing. My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. Fernando went out of his way to deliver bottles to our room. William always made sure our breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Eating on the deck overlooking the ocean was a favorite. Cannot get any better than the bungalows. The private deck and plunge pool was so nice. Used the outdoor shower. Just a step into the beautiful ocean. The beaches were clean. Our butlers made sure there was a Bali bed available for lunch and an afternoon siesta. No stress in getting the perfect beach location. Service on the beach was amazing. Food was great. This is the place for you if you have allergies. My husband is gluten allergic. All menu items were labeled. Staff always asked about allergies and assured us when the food was delivered that it was in fact gluten free. Sooo nice. All the food tasted great. Never had a bad meal. Most quiet and relaxing resort we have ever been to. Our butler helped us book a tour of Tulum ruins through Lomas. Very easy process and we were able to design our day and had a tour guide, Jesus Huet, all day to ourselves- was excellent! Cons: not really a con but just a note- the butlers are so attentive that they come around a lot during the day. Use the ‘do not disturb’ door hanger if you do not want to be disturbed. Nothing bad to say about Palafitos. Would definitely come back!

I wish i could say positive things but bothing like the video and pics my villa was surrounded with seaweed and the water didnt look like advertised As far as the room it was ok... the electricity outlets did not work and had to get them replaced for the price yiur paying u would expect everything to be in working order. Also the telephone in the room did not work couldnt call front desk or request room service from phone in room i personally would not pay to stay there again

We booked elite bungalows on the water and yet four of the 10 ocean facing bungalow rooms have an ugly water barrier in front of ocean. It’s disappointing and also as it is misleading from photos on the hotel website. We were moved two rooms away yet it’s imperative the hotel needs to inform the consumer in advance to spending $1,800 a night! Staff is excellent but in no way can I recommend this property

Absolutely amazing . What a wonderful & perfect vacation! our butlers Enrique & Fernando were wonderful & took care of our every wish. Alfredo & Daniel were amazing bartenders and always knew our favourite drinks and were always so friendly and wonderful. Gustavo in Ricks bar was an absolute treat! Mixing fun cocktails and always so welcoming. Alberto shuttles you around the resort anytime on the cart and is just so friendly and kind every day! Erik helped us with all the activities and even though the water was to rough to kayak far we were so thankful to him for helping us get to take them out. All the staff just work so hard to make sure your every wish comes true. We plan to come back in February it was so wonderful!

Right from touch down at the airport we were treated so well. The staff and service was exceptional. From your personal butler to the property maintenance staff, everyone was so friendly all the time. The attention to detail and cleanliness was amazing and every request was fulfilled. Thank you Janet and Aldo as well as the transportation guy in the resort, and everyone else for making it such a pleasurable trip. The food at the resturant was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service snacks were also amazing. The property and amenities were great including the spa, beach and pools. They worked tirelessly go get rid of the sargassium that washed ashore. We will definatly be back and add on a few extra days.

This day was absolutely amazing, the service was outstanding. I have never been to a resort like it anywhere and I’ve been to Tahiti. I’ve been to Japan. I’ve been all over the world and this was the most amazing stay that I have ever experienced. I would encourage Anybody to. do the all-inclusive plus and they really mean Plus.

This was our second time there and we love it. So quiet, luxurious, attentive and serene. Aldo is an amazing head of butlers and is top notch. We miss our folks from the last time but he was still there and took great care of us. Seaweed is a concern for this whole carribean/gulf region but they work hard to control it. The seaweed was better this year. Likely environmental. You can't go wrong if you wave to relax and have peace. We are young there and we are mid 40's. Average age is about 55 it seems. We were the only Black people there the whole time we were there and that was on the other properties as well as far as we could see. Let's just say everyone knew who we were and where we stayed. Still an awesome experience and worth the money for what you get!

Unique was only restaurant at Palafitos Ocean was not swimmable and smells around the area on the beach not so good ( poor conditions in that department), room didn’t have iron, around the pool no one is asking for drinks, cleanliness at the pool poor. Butlers have a nice smile but work is small. Spa excellent. Entertainment 5 out of 10 Overall 5 out of 10

Palafitos was an unforgettable experience!!! The beach is shallow so the waves are never big. Staying on the water is magical. The Palafitos area is "quite luxury" style. EVERYTHING is designed to make sure you have a relaxing experience. The restaurant is wonderful. Though there are other restaurants on the property, we only visited the Caribbean once, and it couldn't even compare to Palafitos. You can have your lunch brought to you to your Bali bed. Having breakfast on our balcony was delightful. Having a butler was a nice touch. Fernanda was very attentive! Alberto was very friendly and helpful, remembered everyone's name. The beach attendant stole the show-Outstanding, excellent!!! He definitely loves his job. Made our stay extra special!!! Palafitos restaurant breakfast and lunch manager was so kind and went an extra mile 🙌 ALL Palafitos staff were next level, compared to other resorts we stayed at. There was seaweed, but they work SO HARD to get rid of it. It's going to be hard to beat this experience. Thank you Palafitos!!!!

Aunque el tema del sargazo no es culpa del hotel. Si es vender algo que no está en las condiciones para venderse. Es un hotel en el agua. Y si el hotel está lleno de sargazo que no se puede uno meter al mar o incluso abrir la ventana porque huele mal. Pues sería bueno que el hotel invierta en cómo detener el sargazo para que no entre en esa zona específica.

This place was amazing! 5 star treatment from the beginning to the end. Food was amazing, service, beautiful beach beside the seaweed. But it’s everywhere. The bungalow was exceptionally nice.

Our honeymoon at the Palafitos Overwater Bungalows was pure perfection from start to finish. The luxurious sedan pick-up set the tone for the top-notch service we experienced throughout our stay. Our overwater bungalow was breathtaking – panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea, a private infinity plunge pool, and even a glass-bottom floor panel. The service was truly extraordinary, led by our incredible butler, Yasser. He anticipated our every need, orchestrating our stay with grace and genuine warmth. Yasser made us feel like cherished friends, always going above and beyond. Our beach butler, Rafael, was equally delightful, ensuring our beach days were pure bliss with refreshing drinks and a constant smile. The food was a revelation, far beyond "5-star." Loved our stay at Palafitos. Pros: the service is excellent. Very, very nice staff. Our Butlers were over the top amazing. My favorite drink is Dr Pepper. Fernando went out of his way to deliver bottles to our room. William always made sure our breakfast was delivered to our room each morning. Eating on the deck overlooking the ocean was a favorite. Cannot get any better than the bungalows. The private deck and plunge pool was so nice. Used the outdoor shower. Just a step into the beautiful ocean. The beaches were clean. Our butlers made sure there was a Bali bed available for lunch and an afternoon siesta. No stress in getting the perfect beach location. Service on the beach was amazing. Food was great. This is the place for you if you have allergies. My husband is gluten allergic. All menu items were labeled. Staff always asked about allergies and assured us when the food was delivered that it was in fact gluten free. Sooo nice. All the food tasted great. Never had a bad meal. Most quiet and relaxing resort we have ever been to. Our butler helped us book a tour of Tulum ruins through Lomas. Very easy process and we were able to design our day and had a tour guide, Jesus Huet, all day to ourselves- was excellent! Cons: not really a con but just a note- the butlers are so attentive that they come around a lot during the day. Use the ‘do not disturb’ door hanger if you do not want to be disturbed. Nothing bad to say about Palafitos. Would definitely come back!

Right from touch down at the airport we were treated so well. The staff and service was exceptional. From your personal butler to the property maintenance staff, everyone was so friendly all the time. The attention to detail and cleanliness was amazing and every request was fulfilled. Thank you Janet and Aldo as well as the transportation guy in the resort, and everyone else for making it such a pleasurable trip. The food at the resturant was amazing for breakfast, lunch and dinner and room service snacks were also amazing. The property and amenities were great including the spa, beach and pools. They worked tirelessly go get rid of the sargassium that washed ashore. We will definatly be back and add on a few extra days.

This was the best resort I've stayed at. The attention to customer service was amazing. We had 2 butlers Samantha and Janet that they went over and beyond for us. From the beach service to the restaurant and room service we wanted for nothing. I've never been on a resort where the food was amazing every meal. Definitely can't wait to return.

Los bungalows están muy lindos , mucha tranquilidad,muy limpio todo, el personal muy atentos y serviciales , pienso que la calidad de la comida para el precio que pagamos debería de estar a otro nivel.

The staff were excellent and made up for anything not great in the bungalow. Butlers Yasser, Aimee and Daniel were special. The food at the Palafitos was exceptional.

Avoid late May to September as the beach isnt clear due to seaweed. We didn't even put our feet in the water. I know It is not really the staffs fault but that is why it 4 stars. Resorts and all inclusive service is 5 stars. Staffs still kind expect tips which is fine but when they kinda show it in their actions would be a turn off for us so no tip for those that showed. We do tip Staffs genuinely give service and didnt show expectations even deep down we know they want them but it kindda kill the vacation moods when they show. We have 2 butlers for our stay. We didnt like our night shift guy seem lazy and not very caring or accommodating. Lastly dont sign up for the sale invitation they will say it only take 45 minutes but always dragging out to more than 1 hour and when I try to cut it off second sale person/manager try to push for sale didnt like that feeling of pressure even we sorta expect and we told them we aren't interested but we will try to get free massages but just not worth it. If we can pay this type of money for the stay no need to kill the moods over free stuff but we signed up becusee the original sale person was so nice try to get us to sign up. Free massage wasnt the main reason but regret to do it becuase it kindda kill our mood for few hours. Over all if the quality control read this maybe try to train staffs again regarding how they should earn their tip even if they dont get tips they should reconsidering give better service instead provide worse ser.

As a first time traveler to Carmen De Playa, Mexico I was disappointed upon arrival. Palafitos Resort didn’t provide where and how to find the private transport driver. Lengthy process to get thru the airport to the Resort. The A/C is poorly designed. Be prepared to sleep in 75 degree temperatures. Food options are minimal and the staff doesn’t butler your needs as stated. Beaches and water surrounding the bungalows were covered in seaweed. Vat tax is 16%!!! I won’ be returning anytime soon.

The room was amazing at Palafitos Over the Water Bungalows! A little pricey, wish it was less m, but we were celebrating our 30th year anniversary and wanted to make sure it was top notch and we definitely received top notch service and we definitely had that and more! The room was immaculate! Staff were extremely friendly and attentive! The yoga and stretching were peaceful and timely! Food was a la carte which helped in not overeating! Portion sizes and ingredients were enough to satiate! Lomas hospitality transport from Cancun airport was amazing and friendly but the driver for departure home was terrible! Not friendly, no hello! No discussion it was like night and day from the person who initially picked us up. Thankfully, I could look pass the nonchalant attitude of the driver because I couldn’t let his attitude wrinkle my outfit. The Catamaran experience was nice! Special shout out for excellent service at Palafitos Restaurant: Elisio. Israel, and Rusel very friendly and accommodating faces. The butlers at Palafitos were Liz, Karla, Aldo, Yasser, Fernanda and the bartender Francisco were all amazing. Alvaro our beach attendant and welcome helper were exceptional employees! They know how to make a vacation top notch. Thank you to everyone here and I truly appreciate Tristan’s and Mafer’s workouts! Excellent staff!
