Staff friendly and helpful room was clean and comfortable. Walkable to restaurants and mayan ruins. Bring cash as most businesses do not take credit cards and no atms or banks in town. Pool needed cleaning but it was usable and wooden deck around it neede some repairs wear shoes!

Great location on the lake...clean,comfortable rooms...loved the swimming pool ,terrace with great sunst views.The hotel has great potential but lacks staff to help with luggage.There is no hot water( we were there three times in one month and there was no hot water).If there are not enough guests,the restaurant is closed.We will return for the location in Coba and the staff in particular Sully and Christian!

I loved that they have "resident" crocodiles! the grounds are amazing with their own little ruins and amazing adobe sweat lodge - go inside and hum for an acoustic treat!

Avoid this hotel. The hotel had no hot water and they did not tell us at check in. The wc had no toilet cover. We were given a coffee maker with no filter. The restaurant never worked. We were told breakfast started at 7:30 and then planned our day around it. At 7:30 everything was dark. They told us there was yet another emergency. The day we left (to another hotel, being desperate of the disaster service) after being told hot water would come back in the early afternoon but did not. We explain why but they did not care, and told us hot water was back. We checked but it was again false.

My husband and I wish we could of stayed in this hotel more than one night as it was so peaceful, unique and beautiful. Our room was so nice, the inner courtyard was tranquil and the restaurant had a great chef. The lake in front with a pier was a wonderful place to enjoy the tranquility and the crocodiles!

This hotel was once a villas arqueologica but is a shadow of its former self. Pool is still fantastic but everything else is tired and uncared for. Restaurant closed during the day and only 3 items available for dinner. No hot water day 1 tepid the next. Extremely disappointed with my 2 day stay

It’s at the end of a dirt road. The website mentioned that it has a restaurant but it’s closed, the pool deck is rotting and it’s difficult to get a taxi as the taxi company does not answer the phone. We did love the pool and the rooms but we killed a huge spider in my parents room, it looked that it was a baby tarantula. It was in the bathroom towels. I would definitely stay there again as I don’t mind walking in the heat from the main road to the hotel. One thing to considered that being a small town restaurants and some stores close at 5pm.

We arrived amid unseasonal flooding and the hotel had only emergency electricity and no running water! The staff worked really hard to keep things running smoothly for the guests. Lovely pool and patio overlooking the lagoon, super clean rooms. We were the first visitors to the ruins the next morning - convenient location.

El primer inconveniente fue al llegar a mi habitación y la misma no estaba preparada, luego me asignan otra en un segundo piso en donde para llegar a ella había que caminar bastante. Al mismo tiempo no se vio empleado alguno para asistirte con las maletas. De camino a la habitación vi almohadas, vasos, platos sucios en el pasillo. La almohada la recogieron luego de quejarme pero los platos y vasos sucios aun estaban en el mismo lugar al siguiente día. Me dejaron menos de la mitad del papel higiénico en la habitación y tres hojas en la caja de papel facial. No tenían agua caliente y no señal de TV. La cocina del hotel cerrada ya que no contaban con un sustituto (a) luego de ausentarse la cocinera(o). A eso del medio día las cervezas en la barra, ya se habían terminado.

Ancient ruins included within hotel grounds is an awesome perk especially if you are staying the night and plan to visit the Coba ruins the next morning. This allows you to become acquainted with the historical features in a beautiful setting. The hotel is almost like a museum in itself because of its design layout. Pool is beautiful, staff professional and the garden is a treat to walk in evenings. Super clean rooms and very comfy beds.

Es un lugar muy bonito ideal para descansar y relajarse, su alberca de buen tamaño y muy limpia, las vistas increíbles. En cuestión del servicio en la recepción fueron amables, pero a pesar de pedir una habitación en planta baja por tener a una persona con discapacidad no nos la otorgaron, en cuanto al servicio de limpieza no pusieron toallas suficientes para la personas en los cuartos, en el restaurante faltaba más atención, pero en general estuvo bien.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. I could’ve stayed here all week. The service, the atmosphere, the room, the courtyard, the restaurant, everything is gorgeous. I would like to come back and spend more time here. I had a great conversation with amazing staff, it is so safe and tranquil. It was also an amazing deal! It is perfect if you are alone or with kids. The rooms are gorgeous and so unique. They are so clean and comfortable. I give this hotel and the staff a five star and extra credit!

The hotel is absolutely wonderful! A gem in the middle of Cobá, very close to the ruins. It looks like an ancient monastery even if it actually isn't one. Excellent taste for decoration: clean, minimalistic, with some touch of local culture. Very comfortable bed with super soft bed sheets. Helpful staff, great swimming pool. High quality shampoo, conditioner and soap. All very clean. We can definitely recommend it!

The Kaab Coba hotel is lovely and a good value. We stayed in a family room which had been re-modeled with very nice details such as grab bars in the bathroom, nice recessed lighting niches and good firm beds. The ac unit was a bit too powerful for the size of the room causing it to be difficult to regulate the temp and humidity. The pool is very nice and the general ambiance is very relaxing and elegant. The dinner menu at the restaurant is very limited but there are plenty of places to eat in the immediate area. The fruit salad at breakfast is great.The very short distance to the Coba archeological site is wonderful and the town appears to be building a nice Corniche type boardwalk along the lake. I would definitely revisit this hotel.

It's has a very pleasant atmosphere and is very clean. The only problem was that there was a large group there as part of a retreat (something with yoga) that were loud at times. They had brought their own mixing equipment and PA system, so they got loud at the pool. We had just got back from exploring the Coba ruins, and the reverberations in our room was pretty crazy as we tried to relax. It was only late afternoon and it didn't last too long, but it was certainly disruptive. They also partied a little late, past the official quiet hours, and they would leave the pool area in a bit of a mess that wasn't cleaned up very quickly, so we had to move stuff around ourselves. I understand that a big group will be louder, but perhaps more staff to keep up after them and enforcing the quiet times would have made the stay a little more comfortable. You know you're getting old ...

The hotel is old but fabulous! Huge room, great pool and a funky little town with nice ruins nearby. The only problem was the restaurant. Very limited breakfast and not much else, however a short walk will take you to a few tasty spots.

A gorgeous oasis and some much needed rest was had at this hotel. The staff were lovely, the bed comfy and the view spectacular. Highly recommend for some R&R with ruins and cenotes very close by.

Fantastic hotel if you are looking to relax. The staff was amazing in every way. We enjoyed our time so much that we are planning a trip back soon. We consider the staff friends, and we are so thankful that they made our stay there so enjoyable. Mayan ruins nearby and the gardens of this hotel are beautiful.

Great location on the lake...clean,comfortable rooms...loved the swimming pool ,terrace with great sunst views.The hotel has great potential but lacks staff to help with luggage.There is no hot water( we were there three times in one month and there was no hot water).If there are not enough guests,the restaurant is closed.We will return for the location in Coba and the staff in particular Sully and Christian!

Excellent check in with Jeremy. His English was perfect! Their restaurant was closed for the evening for their staff Posada but Jeremy recommended a restaurant nearby and the food was delicious. Beautiful pool area Cute, comfy room

The property is really nice. The only thing is that when we just arrived there was no electricity and water, but it was a municipal issue, and the hotel stuff solved the issue by finding another room with air conditioning and water. I will go back. Beautiful place.

El primer inconveniente fue al llegar a mi habitación y la misma no estaba preparada, luego me asignan otra en un segundo piso en donde para llegar a ella había que caminar bastante. Al mismo tiempo no se vio empleado alguno para asistirte con las maletas. De camino a la habitación vi almohadas, vasos, platos sucios en el pasillo. La almohada la recogieron luego de quejarme pero los platos y vasos sucios aun estaban en el mismo lugar al siguiente día. Me dejaron menos de la mitad del papel higiénico en la habitación y tres hojas en la caja de papel facial. No tenían agua caliente y no señal de TV. La cocina del hotel cerrada ya que no contaban con un sustituto (a) luego de ausentarse la cocinera(o). A eso del medio día las cervezas en la barra, ya se habían terminado.

We enjoyed very much this beautifully situated and very comfortable hotel. Everything was great: the room, facilities, service, secure parking on site. But two biggest assets are location only some 10-15 walk from Coba ruins and lovely view over the lake in front of the hotel. We loved the place!

The hotel is old but fabulous! Huge room, great pool and a funky little town with nice ruins nearby. The only problem was the restaurant. Very limited breakfast and not much else, however a short walk will take you to a few tasty spots.

It’s at the end of a dirt road. The website mentioned that it has a restaurant but it’s closed, the pool deck is rotting and it’s difficult to get a taxi as the taxi company does not answer the phone. We did love the pool and the rooms but we killed a huge spider in my parents room, it looked that it was a baby tarantula. It was in the bathroom towels. I would definitely stay there again as I don’t mind walking in the heat from the main road to the hotel. One thing to considered that being a small town restaurants and some stores close at 5pm.

This is the most amazing place. It's at the end of the street and overlooks a gorgeous lake. I felt like we had stepped into another world. The landscaping and rooms are beautiful. There's a covered pier to look at fish and birds, and if you ask, they'll take some chicken out to let you see the crocodile. The pool's big. They have ancient ruins on a beautiful garden walkway. Isaiah was a wonderful host. We also ate in their restaurant, and it was great food.

Avoid this hotel. The hotel had no hot water and they did not tell us at check in. The wc had no toilet cover. We were given a coffee maker with no filter. The restaurant never worked. We were told breakfast started at 7:30 and then planned our day around it. At 7:30 everything was dark. They told us there was yet another emergency. The day we left (to another hotel, being desperate of the disaster service) after being told hot water would come back in the early afternoon but did not. We explain why but they did not care, and told us hot water was back. We checked but it was again false.

The Kaab Coba hotel is lovely and a good value. We stayed in a family room which had been re-modeled with very nice details such as grab bars in the bathroom, nice recessed lighting niches and good firm beds. The ac unit was a bit too powerful for the size of the room causing it to be difficult to regulate the temp and humidity. The pool is very nice and the general ambiance is very relaxing and elegant. The dinner menu at the restaurant is very limited but there are plenty of places to eat in the immediate area. The fruit salad at breakfast is great.The very short distance to the Coba archeological site is wonderful and the town appears to be building a nice Corniche type boardwalk along the lake. I would definitely revisit this hotel.

This hotel was once a villas arqueologica but is a shadow of its former self. Pool is still fantastic but everything else is tired and uncared for. Restaurant closed during the day and only 3 items available for dinner. No hot water day 1 tepid the next. Extremely disappointed with my 2 day stay

It was pretty good. The lights went out in the bathroom a few times, but we’ve dealt with worse. The guy who checked us in was really nice. We’re english speaking- and he was very patient and spoke way better english than we do Spanish. But then we couldn’t find anyone who worked there until like 10:30 the next day. Like we were going to check out at one point but there literally wasn’t anyone in reception or anywhere. We just left to get breakfast for a bit instead. You can walk just about anywhere from there it seems- Coba is tiny though so it doesn’t matter where you stay if you’re worried about being able to walk places. Also it was very quiet- only a little eerie. We only seen one other person while we were there. There’s fun swings by the lake outside :) Lots of dogs that don’t look like they are dying :)
