Very hard to find parking otherwise ok for budget stay

Stayed for 3 nights, affordable, motel like,comfortable,easy access to trains,westfield shopping, bistro good food, clean tidy easy access to room with lift.

The staff were all so friendly. The food was great. The rooms clean & tidy. Great location. The road could be noisy but i wasn't listening to it. Only bad thing, the parking, there is none unless you park westfields or lucky to get street parking where it is leave at own risk.

Don't check in late if you have kids. Have to walk in to bar full of smokes. You will get suffocated. Overall room clean and quiet. Best place if you love gambling and drink

The Meridian Hotel has a great restaurant and well positioned in Hurstville unfortunately they need to do some maintenance, I've stayed in 3 rooms recently and all had problem fittings also stay on the street side of the hotel as the air-conditioning room is quite noisy throughout the night in the rear rooms. Shame as could be a good hotel with some minor work. Very disappointed with their staff as they requested photo ID for the paperwork and neglected to return my ID with their paperwork, my mistake as had a lot of luggage and buzzling but found it sad that they made no attempt to return it, had I not needed my ID at a RSL club I may have flown home without it. Terrible really.

The only downfall with this stay was parking. There was parking about 5 minutes away at westfield but cost $50 a day for parking.

Great hotel. Beautifully renovated accommodation. So convenient in good location. Very friendly staff. Bistro has a great menu at affordable prices and a great beer garden area with huge TV screens for sport lovers. Westfield Hurstville 2 min. walk for shoppers. No parking onsite but we found it easy to park on the street.Highly recommend

If you need to stay in Hurstville this is a great choice. Large, refurbished rooms and 3 mins walk from the train station. Above a pub with good prices on beer etc and a great restaurant downstairs offering good, cheap Chinese and western dishes. My go to in this part of town. Westfield 2 mins walk and a Main Street full of shops and restaurants mainly offering varied Asian cuisine.

Room was nice and clean except for mould on bottom of shower curtain and terrible smell of cigarettes. It had a shared balcony and I think guests use it to smoke. Air con not working. Very noisy at night as on busy road but we knew that before staying and didn’t really bother us. No parking which we knew prior but street parking is almost impossible to find. We used the nearby Westfield car park for free parking after 6pm and then moved our car later in evening to outside of hotel (2hr parking after 8:30am) which gave us until 10:30am to get out and about again for the day. Short walk to Westfield shopping centre which is convenient.

A good location and the bed linen and towels were changed, but the coffee cups weren’t and the garbage wasn’t removed. At the end of the week I had cockroaches. There’s no service desk, you check in at the bar. No one to ask. They couldn’t manage an ironing board.

To know: Double queen deluxe room had snot/boogers on walls, spilled/thrown coffee (hopefully coffee) across a wall, it had dried and was left there. Carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, it was obvious on the black carpet. Cleanliness is very low standard, worst I have ever experienced. Most depressing was no windows, and ‘balcony’ was inside four 2-story walls capped by an overhand. Not a chance of fresh air or daylight. Asked for the room to be cleaned of dried snot/boogers, coffee, and vacuumed. The stain was mostly cleaned up, the vacuum didn’t do much, boogers/snot were left. I bought cleaning wipes and cleaned the rest of the coffee/ stains, boogers/snot myself, as we were staying for a week - should have left… The bedding looked clean, the rain shower was nice, but no one ever made the beds or changed the bedding or took away used towels, or cleaned any surfaces/bathroom during our stay, even thorough we put the ‘please tidy my room sign on door. Left new towels but that was it. Didn’t replace coffee or cream. Rooms are above a casino/bar restaurant that is open until 4am weekdays and 6am weekends, music plays loudly and is easily heard from our room on the first floor. Second floor might be better for a quiet sleep. Location is great in terms of Westfields mall, and the train station. The price was the cheapest in the area, but too expensive for what it was.

Room was clean on arrival, but not serviced once during our 8 day stay. We had to take our rubbish out daily and dispose ourselves so the room did not end up smelling. Minimal toiletries and tea/coffee provided initially, and not topped up until we asked. No reception desk, as hotel was run by the pub, so had to wait until they opened to get assistance. Room was missing fire safety / evacuation notice, and door sign for ‘do not disturb / please service room’. Room also very dark, with no windows in the bedroom. Only one mirror in the unit, which was over the toilet, so difficult to access. Would be good to have another one in the bedroom. Location great close to train station, shops, Westfield mall and multiple takeaways options.

Ive stayed here before , excellent location , great shopping with a westfield 100 metres away. Train & buses very close by, dining options awesome including the onsite chinese restaurant. However I have rated 1/5 due to finding out the doona / quilt stuffed between our sheets was full of stains including blood stains !!! Not happy , will not be back! Wish I could share photos on here as photos don't lie.

Found a cockroach leg and some sort of bug in amongst the bed sheets, room not vacuumed long hair all over carpet, no mirror over sink for shaving, air conditioning not serviced, can hear people on 2nd floor above you like a herd of elephants.

The hotel was clean but there was dirt around the skirting boards, under the fridge and on the window sills The staff were not very friendly just matter of fact and to the point So professional never saw any staff was not shown how to get out or in the property had to work it out myself So you are left to your own devices would of being nice if I was taken to my room and shown the lift and the door So for that I was disappointed the room was too bright and no blankets on the bed making it cold no blankets in the cupboard if it was needed I did check that to see if there were blankets

Great pillows and excellent shower pressure. Room smelt like smoke, toilet seat was broken and fridge was leaking into cabinet.

Nice room, all new. Top quality for the price, walking distance from the train station.

Paid extra for a balcony room. Unfortunately, the street light beams in through the glass door to the balcony, lighting up the room like a light house. The adjacent room had thick curtains to combat this however room 106 does not. This coupled with excessive street noise made for very little sleep. The carpet was quite soiled and scribble all over the walls. A very disappointing stay.

Amazing stay at this hotel. Newer built so clean and modern. Had booked an Ibis at Campbeltown earlier but realized it is so far out of the city, so I cancelled and found a gem of a hotel in Hurtsville. Transport (buses and train) are just steps away. Eating places around are abundant and many options available. Room is clean with complete amenities, and the rainfall (?) shower is amazing. TV is big screen, (although channels are limited and mostly sports shows but we not big tv watchers so its ok). The only negative is wifi is a bit slow and spotty. But overall, an outstanding hotel at a reasonable price....

Probably one of the nicer Australian pub hotels I have stayed at. Simple no fuss accommodation. Good clean rooms. Nice amenities. Warm and quiet. We arrived early and as I had a baby with me, they organised guest services to have our room cleaned quickly for an early check in. Absolutely amazing. It's close to the train station and right next to Westfield Mall.

Stay here at your own risk. Toilet seat broken, toilet paper roll holder broken. Fridge stunk. Cigarette burns on the doonah. Stains on the carpet. More specifically the room 116 that I was booked in) was abysmal. Upon arrival on Saturday 3rd August 2024 the room was not ready for check in at 2pm (though was already on site by 1:45pm) and was asked to wait until it is ready. At 2pm I asked for an ETA and the duty manager replies with: 'Just waiting on the police to clear the room" whatever that means was still a mystery. At 2:20pm we are given another room to stay in instead of our booked one (similar layout). On Sunday after lunch a stranger with a swipe card opens my hotel room and comes inside after swiping my door. The duty manager issued two different customers access to the same hotel room that I was in. So having an old man with a suit case walk into my room while I was completely naked was something completely beyond words. I called the hotel reception and spoke to the duty manager and his reply to the whole incident was it was "Little mistake". Asked for another room and was told none available and that I was welcomed to check in on another hotel if I wanted to instead of staying there. I requested to speak to the licensee and was told.by the same duty manager that the licensee was not available and that he would leave a note for them to contact me when on site next. Matter is under resolution for me. If you decide to stay here expect the unexpected.

I messaged a week prior to the reservation asking about a late check in, and got no response. When I arrived they let me keep my bags w them, though when I got to my room and opened my luggage, some of my clothes were wet. Probably because they literally keep the bags in the bar right in front of the taps where they pour beers and other drinks. There was still rubbish in the room when I checked in. The room had a big tv and no tv remote, so I went downstairs to get a remote only to find out the remote they gave me didn’t work. The room had windows that you couldn’t open and was blocked by what looked like rubbish. The air conditioning was barely functional and it would get really stuffy when I was trying to sleep. When the cleaners do their thing they block the entire hallway and it’s just super messy and inconvenient trying to get past. The service here was horrible not very hospitable at all, all the staff were miserable. The bed however was very comfortable but the best thing about this hotel were the Chicken kebabs they sold across the street.

I have stayed here about 5 times now & this is the last time I will be staying the staff are rude , I wasn’t allowed to pay in cash & the room wasn’t going to be ready till 20 minutes after checking in time

Terrible/inappropriate check-in location and hard to locate the entrance to the hotel.

After checking 2 hours AFTER we could check in and travelling for over 7 hours with 2 children, we found our room had not been cleaned. It was disgusting. So I went back to check in and was told they would clean it there and then, but I refused as I didn’t want to wait any longer. We got put into another room which was only a double bed and queen bed, with no balcony after paying for a room with 2 queen beds AND a balcony. We didn’t get any compensation, barely an apology and I was made to feel like it was my fault. Even a gift card or a free night would’ve helped alleviate my frustrations.

We have booked with the Meridian on many occasions. The convenience for seniors/disabilities, cleanliness, staff are polite and helpful, I have always had a great experience at the Meridian Hurstville. Bedding is comfortable relaxing. Food is delicious. Free parking is, if you are lucky, conveniently across the road. Otherwise the local Westfield shopping Mall has pay parking.

This hotel was a typical town hotel- pub, pool hall, restaurant, in the middle of town but was surprisingly quiet. Train station, grocery store and LOTS of dining spots in easy walking distance. The only issue I had was when I left- I couldn't find the card swipe to unlock the doors, and had to ask a passerby for assistance. (it was too early for any staff to be around.)

I like there is restaurant in the hotel and many restaurants and the grocery stores around here, but there is a little bit noisy outside

The room was perfect for what we wanted (4 guests, including 1 couple). Amazing dining options all within walking distance.
