Well, this hotel has a great location in Austin, it’s also located next to an extremely loud nightclub. Music stops around midnight but the local crowd partying goes until about 2:30. Bring earplugs. Also, they advertise $45 parking but they have only a couple spaces. There is basically no parking at this hotel.

Great hotel and the staff was amazing… The rooms are small but very cleverly laid out… Love the carpet going throughout the halls… Valet was a little pricey but there are several close spots to park near by… Over all we enjoyed the ambiance and the folks that work at this quintessential destination…

While the style of the hotel was modern and cute, you can tell it’s a bit dingy. It’s also in the heart of the university and university living so there’s a ton of traffic, both pedestrians and vehicles at all times which creates a lot of noise. The room felt small and the design of having the sink and shower in the room and not separate was odd. There were no amenities like lotion, a coffee pot or even a refrigerator. So a pretty basic room. It ended up being fine for what we needed for one night but I likely wouldn’t return. Also, the only parking available is in their garage which is all valet and they charge $55 per night.

The property is close to resturants and UT campus but there is also bars and homeless people all around. It can get loud at night but overall the hotel location is great and very clean.

The cleanliness of the lobby, elevator’s, and rooms was nice. The rooms are very small for a queen double bed. No refrigerators in the rooms. No iron and ironing board, only at the end of the floor in a stash closet. (Luckily, we received the last one) Housekeeping only checked rooms every other day. We had to constantly ask for towels. You can hear the footsteps of the upper floors. Wouldn’t stay there again, but will visit the bar.

While this hotel offers many cute Instagrammable corners and the hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, at the end of the day you'll find that this is no more than a hostel with delusions of grandeur. People who complain about the price-to-amenities ratio are correct. This hotel claims they're listing competitive rates, when in reality they're charging luxury rates without offering any of that luxury. The worst offense for me was the bed. They don't even have true mattresses! It's just some kind of cotton bedroll, like a futon mattress. Definitely do not stay here if you don't want to wake up with aches and pains. As for the good? The food at their little in-house restaurant was quite good, and every individual member of their staff with whom I interacted was a straight-up gem. They might not know how to sound-insulate their hotel rooms, but they do know how to hire kind, charming staff.

Room was small and very basic. There was nowhere for me to hang any clothes. The hangers were right on top of a tiny desk…There was hardly anything in the room except for the bed, a chair, and the bathroom and a sink. Austin was over 100F everyday and no fridge in the room. For the price, I won’t be returning. There are plenty of alternatives.

Pros - Right beside UT Austin so you if you are here for the university this is the place to stay for convenience. Great taco place on site and a good bar Cons - Created for Gen Z - Limited Lighting in the room, Semi Private shower so not great if you are with family, Noise from the very busy street on which it is situated. No reasonable parking option, they are hell bent on charging you the 20 dollars for early check in ( check in starts at 4, Not a big deal but annoying), Some homeless folks lurking around

This is the BEST experience I have ever had at a hotel! Made me feel like a superstar! Love the complimentary drink, love the decor, cleanliness and the friendly service. The room is so epically designed. The location is everything. It was just a GREAT staycation for me and the family! We love a good Marriott and the Moxy is top tier in the chain! Love it!

We have stayed here twice and both times have been wonderful. The staff is very friendly, helpful and make you feel comfortable. They went out of their way to help us with all of our requests. By far the most comfortable and friendly place weve ever stayed. And they are dog friendly!!! Our dog Ginger loved all the staff members as much as we did.

The receptionist was not very friendly. Barely polite, even. It was one of the situations where the words themselves were fine, but the body language was not welcoming at all. I felt like I was inconveniencing them by being there. We got to the elevator and could not get it to work. First, no one said we needed to scan the key card to get it to work, so we had to figure that out on our own. Second, the key card didn't even work. This is our first time at Moxy so we're absolutely figuring it out as we go. We scan the card multiple times but it never lets us select a floor. Finally we try the other card, suspecting that maybe this initial card was not properly activated and yes, it worked. Dropped our stuff off in the room and went back to have the card re-done. The same person helped us and acted like they'd never met us in their life. It felt absolutely rude and like an intentional power play, because the way they helped us was not nice. In the most patronizing way, they explained that we needed to keep the cards away from magnets. I mean, come on. To not explain anything else and then explain THAT?? Not a good look for Moxy. Your receptionists need to be receptive.

It was a fun, lively, and got us in the mood for our concert! It is a no nonsense room with very little to get in your way, but the decor is neat and the bed was comfortable and nightstands are always a plus on both sides! Friendly, welcoming staff!

Stay was comfortable, clean, and convenient. Location close to everything downtown, and University area. 7eleven across the street. Bus runs in front of Moxy. Choice to pay for parking week days on street or free from 6PM until 8Am. Or park in parking garage package available.

The hotel was amazing, clean and so cute! The staff were all really nice and welcoming and accommodating. It was in a good area, able to easily walk to places like chic fil a, and sneaker stores nearby. They also had a really updated GYM on the first floor and a restaurant and Bar you could get food from. Overall I felt safe and would definitely go back to Moxy !!

Young lady at check-in was great . Bartender was pleasant and helpful. I didn’t realize curtain by shower needed to be pulled across at night so the automatic motion-detector lights wouldn’t come on if I turned over in bed: not a restful night until I realized that. Parking was way too expensive. Limited dining options (taco bar). Good coffee.

Friendly and accommodating staff, clean spaces and room. Eclectic style and cool vibe. The games in the lobby were fun. Be aware there’s no fridge or coffee maker in the room (AM coffee in lobby tho). The only downside was the food we got from the lobby market was not so fresh.

Great service at checking. Cute clean room. Free cocktail ticket. Make sure you arrange parking before you travel. When I arrived parking was full and had to park on the street 2 blocks away late in the evening.
