We just stayed here overnight on our travels from FL to VA. The receptionist at midnight was super quick to check us in and we found our room easily. We literally came here to sleep and shower. I utilized this gym this morning, it could use a little work.. there were no wipes to wipe off equipment and there was no hand sanitizer in the cartridge. I was sure to let the receptionist know this morning, though. Small gym but I got the job done for a decent workout.

We chose this hotel because Hotels.com listed an electric charging station. There was a Tesla which did not work for us, but that didn’t matter much as we have a plug in hybrid. The hotel was very nice, except that they do not have coffee/tea in the room. It was in the lobby which is also the breakfast room which made the coffee/tea a it far from the breakfast buffet. I thought that the room was fairly small but comfortable. I still think that the best place to stay in Santee is Fairfield Inn & Suites

We were under impression that the facility has electric vehicle charging stations. When we got to the hotel we found out that the electric vehicle charging was not connected to power .

My family did a quick stop here on the way to Florida. It is conveniently off I 95. There are some food options and restaurants nearby. The hotel seems very new. It is very clean. Staff was very friendly. They have a common area pool table and loungers. The soap/lotion was excellent with superb scents. I would stay here again.

Disappointing - I’ll return to Hampton Inn next time. I spilled water in the bathroom and the washcloth was black when I wiped it up - so the floor wasn’t clean. Bed was excellent. No microwave or coffee machine. Evening staff were good but the young man in the morning was rude when interrupted from his cell phone. Pool didn’t open till 10 so no swim before leaving!

The popcorn and water that was provided was wonderful. The shower leaked terribly around the door out onto the floor of the bathroom. The caulking was rusty or moldy looking. The air conditioning unit rattled during the night. This is a new motel as of November 2023 if I understand correctly. This should not be the case for the age of The motel. You do expect more from a Hilton property. Disappointed.

Front desk staff were all exceptionally friendly. Room was clean and quiet. First time staying at this brand of hotels and will definitely seek them out for future travel. Pet friendly, although we do not have a pet, you would never know the rooms are so clean.

The room was the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. It looked like a college dorm room. Orange and red stripes on wall. Very cheap furnishing. Small desk looked like $20 Big Lots special. Night stand was orange plastic. It also looked like it was from Big Lots or Wal Mart.

Room was small and had a King precluding room for a chair. Should have a Twin XL and a CHAIR. Desk had no chair. Very uncomfortable to watch TV. The shelf under the bathroom mirror is a neat idea - and a headbanger when you wash your face. This brand tries to do some neat things but only does them halfway - so, only average.

Nice motel, but for the price it should have had a real refrigerator withe separate freezer! It only had a refrigerator! I have to carry insulin with freeze packs and need to place them in a freezer over night.

Tru is a very modern type of property. Pros: Amazing blackout shade that actually slides down into a track so no light sneaks around! Nice firm bed. Adequate room size for us (but I guess some people like more spacious rooms). Nice clean bathroom and a shower with awesome water pressure. **Breakfast was fabulous!!! Their automatic pancake machine you simply wave at was so cool. (I’ve read that those are only at Tru by Hilton.) There were also omelettes, sausage, oatmeal, toast, cereal, plenty of fresh fruit, juices, etc. Cons: I think we hit a rush time at breakfast, and there was only one lady to replenish the large coffee pots and food, wipe down tables, etc. Everyone was very patient, though, as she was doing the best she could.

This was my first stay at a Tru hotel and I am now a fan and will happily stay at Tru hotels in the future. The check in and service was amazing. Lauren went out of her way to help and welcome me. The shower is AMAZING including their exfoliating lemonade and sugar body wash. Simply fabulous. My only negative was the AC unit was quite noisy. That said, I was so tired I enjoyed the bed and slept beautifully.

Went to bed 9pm. Big screen TV came on at 10:30 with message to welcome “Joyce”. At 10:55 some one had a key trying to open the door. I was glad that I had the security lock on. Called the desk, someone came to the door and apologized. Offered a beer or glass of wine to comp me. At that hour I just wanted rest. $75 charge for my 8lb dog is a bit ridiculous.

My room was booked months in advance. I arrived to check in and was told the computer system was down. I was I would be given a key but she had to check the room. She returned to tell me someone was in the room and the computer system must've moved the rooms around and now she didn't know which room was available. I asked her what she wanted me to do considering we had driven 6 plus hours and the room had been booked months ago and she said she didn't know. It was now 4:30am and we drove around looking for a place to stay but I was told there were 2 big events in the area and there's no availability for miles. We ended up sleeping in our car at a rest stop. I've emailed management and I have received no response back. I still have not received a refund or an apology.

Room was clean, breakfast was fine. The staff upon check in ignored us, the printer was out of paper and the two workers could not figure out why the computer couldn’t print. One of the women finally said oh we need paper. The entire time neither of the women acknowledged us. It was about 5-7 minutes before we were greeted and still had to wait until they were done. I was upset all they had to do was say hello we are having a problem someone will be with you in a few minutes. Instead of letting us stand there waiting uncomfortably.

Stay was ok until they they gave a stranger room keys to our room at 10pm at night and this person was able to open the door and enter the room my husband went down stairs to complain and the staff at the front desk said was very cold and nonchalant about their mistake no apology offered at all won’t be staying here again.

The woman at the checkin acted like she didn’t care whether we were there! She greeted us with “checking in?” No “hello” “how are you?” Or even “hi”. Definitely the wrong person for that position. Plus she continued texted on her mobile while processing the checkin!

When arrived there was not anyone to check me in. After waiting a person who works there but not working at the time checked me in. It seemed the staff was more concerned with drinking and hanging out with a wedding party that was staying there than doing their job.

We needed a hotel to sleep at during our road trip. We chose this hotel based off location (right near I-95). Check in was easy. Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Considering it was right off the main road, we didn’t hear any traffic throughout the night. They have complimentary coffee available 24 hours out of the day. The breakfast was basic but the pancake maker was pretty cool. Overall, great stay!

Generally, our experience was disappointing, not what we expected from Hilton. Silly little sayings everywhere, kind of like pre-school, low quality breakfast, noise through walls and ceilings have made our future more clear. Also they are pet friendly - meaning we may lay our head where a dog's butt sat - no thanks. We will never stay at a Hilton, or eat at a breakfast bar again.
