The hotel lives up to its 5-star ranking. It’s modern, new, clean and very spacious room and bathroom. Bed is also comfortable. Perfect for a family. It has complete toiletries amenities. The location is close to main attractions and other popular food places. The pool and poolside area perfect for families - kids play in the pool and adults relaxing at the poolside area. Improvement is room to install USB ports for phone charging.

A notre arrivée ils nous ont annoncé que la piscine n'était pas disponible pendant deux jours. On devait prendre une navette pour un autre hôtel pour profiter de leur piscine. Nous y sommes allés un jour et la piscine n'était vraiment pas du même niveau que celle du courtyard. Nous avons été déçu.

Nice new hotel. The security guard at main entrance was very friendly with warm greetings every time we went back to hotel. The room was upgraded to sea view room and with enjoyable view. The hotel is within walkable distance to downtown, but we didn’t want to, and it would dry out our energy during sunshine at 35 degree. It’s just easy to get Grab and around RM6-8 to main tourist area. It’s enjoyable to have sun bath and swim at pool in late afternoon.

The staff were all very polite and willing to help. The room was clean and comfortable . There is even a shuttle service to Jonker Street. If you call for service or room service using their direct phone line , they pick and response really fast. Buffet breakfast quality is good. You seldom find cheeses and yoghurts stored in stand up chiller to maintain quality. There are like 4 flavours of mini muffins , 3-4 kinds of danish and 5 types of bread just to cite an example. There are a lot of electrical socket in the room to cater to multiple devices. The only thing that confuses me is the bin in the room. It is a recycle bin but I think it is too small for practical use and l am not sure how we should really use it although there are pictures. Otherwise all is great !

Fast and easy check-in and check-out. Front office staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is huge and clean. The hotel also offer free shuttle service to Jonker Street but will need to register at the concierge as there will be limited seats for each trip. Will definitely recommend this hotel. Thumbs up.

This is an excellent hotel. I was really surprised how good it was. My experience of Marriott's generally has not been good. This one is outstanding. Comfortable clean rooms, good housekeeping, good location, helpful staff and excellent and well priced food offerings. Lovely pool area and gym. I would stay there again and definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our top-floor room with water view. Parking was hassle-free. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and I would have said impeccable, except for chef Azim who seemed to lack candour when asked why our fish and chip was missing the malt vinegar stated in the menu. Kudos to Abie from front desk for trying hard to remedy the situation. Shoutout also to Prabin who was pleasant and helpful in onboarding us, and to Emmanuel for his enthusiastic talk about food at the hotel. Ah yes, the hotel is near local eateries and a laundromat.

We stayed at Courtyard Marriott Melaka for 4 days 3 nights. It is a new hotel in Melaka and my family decided to give it a try for our recent stay. The room configuration of a deluxe suite is good for family of three. However, we were terribly alarmed and learned by accident that their room attendants were not changing or cleaning up the room cups and cutleries using the dishwasher detergents, and they were wiping the water-rinsed cups and cutleries using an used towel that had been used for the past how many rooms that they were cleaning. This is really a serious breach of hygiene which we could not accept for a hotel under Marriott chain. You do not know what could have been transmitted from room to room if there is someone sick from the early room(s) that the room attendants had cleaned and used the contaminated cloth to wiped the other rooms' cups and cutleries. The management needs to seriously look into this lapse of hygiene practice to upkeep the chain's name. To future guests of Courtyard Marriott at Melaka, please ensure your room cups and cutleries are cleaned before used.

The rooms cleanliness are not as good anymore. The pillows have a saliva smell and the beds seems to be old. Finally when the shower is on in the toilet, we can hear water flow and water pipe sounds in the entire room. Feels like a budget hotel! Overall the stay is not good for Marriott standard.

My 2nd time returning. Comfortable bed, everything is new n cosy. Great services from staff. One complaint my room floor is extremely sticky n dirty. My feet was literally black n I had to scrub clean before wearing bathroom slippers. Housekeeping not doing a good job. My room was 1905 connecting with the other room. I stayed on 22/7 for 1 night.

A new hotel located around 10 min drive away from Jonker Walk. The surrounding is quiet which I appreciate. Staff is extremely helpful and check-in and out is a breeze. The breakfast spread is excellent. A few negative points are breakfast timing is too short even on weekends. In addition, the toilet configuration is quite bad. By the time we finished showering, half of the toilet floor will be ponded with water. The bath tub is too high and it even difficult for me to get up and down let alone a child or elderly. No matter how you shower, water will flow out via the sides of the tub and out of the glass door, which is quite useless. The hotel should just get rid of bathtub and install a shower area will do. In addition, a small step should be included in the bathroom for kids. It’s impossible for my child to use the tap.

As a frequent traveler with extensive experience across 3- to 5-star hotels, I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. While the room was clean, the connecting door was not soundproof, and I was repeatedly disturbed by loud noise from the adjacent room well into the night. This is a basic expectation for guest comfort and must be addressed immediately. What was more unacceptable was the buffet dinner at Courtyard Café on 31/5/25. I arrived at 8:19 PM—still within service hours—only to find satay, prawns, chicken cutlet, rice, and even milk for coffee completely gone. Despite multiple requests, the chef in a black jacket showed no initiative to replenish the food, even after staff informed him. The service staff were polite and apologetic, but they were clearly unsupported by the kitchen leadership. I left the buffet hungry, frustrated, and shocked by such poor standards. This is not the level of service expected from Marriott. I am not seeking compensation—but I am demanding immediate improvements in room soundproofing, buffet operations, and chef accountability. If Marriott intends to uphold its reputation, issues like these cannot be ignored.

Courtyard Marriott Malacca, despite being a relatively new hotel, less than 6 months old, could benefit from some improvements, particularly in terms of its customer service, specifically within the housekeeping and breakfast departments. During our 5-days stay, we noticed that the hotel's service was inconsistent, especially during the less busy nights when the housekeeping staff seemed unresponsive. The lobby was great, big and nice. Room was clean, quiet and modern. However, they still need to improve some points to make our stay more pleasant. We made the booking for 3 person and expected that the room would be ready with amenities for 3 person like bath towers, slippers, toothbrush and especially the extra bed. All of them were missing and needed to call down to operator and asked for it. They delivered the extra bed fast but still forgot the slippers and toothbrush. At night when we came back, we had to call down again to ask. On the next day, we asked for late check out 1 more hour and the Front desk Putera extended for us 30 minutes but made the wrong room key. He didn’t ask my Full name or any other information to verify the correct room number and made the key for the room next door. Of course the key was not working and we had to call down from the hall way to ask some one to help bringing up the key. We waited for about 10 mins and no one come up. We had to come down to ask for renewing the key. The same Front desk person assisted us to make the key and said that he made the wrong room key number then gave the key card back to us without any apology and not even smiling. We felt unwelcoming and did expect this unprofessional service at Marriott. Beyond that, everyone was nice, Concierge was very helpful and friendly.

As a frequent traveler with extensive experience across 3- to 5-star hotels, I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay. Fast and easy check-in and check-out. Front office staffs are friendly and helpful. The room is huge and clean. All the hotel staffs we met were friendly and helpful. Prompt reply to all inquiries with informative answers. Room was big, comfortable and clean. The location of the hotel is not good, a bit far from the center of the city. Nothing nearby. You cannot find restaurants, malls, and shops. We needed to drive 15 minutes to find cafes for breakfast. On the last day, we booked hotel breakfast. The choices were limited, and the taste was so-so. The staff were friendly but was a bit slow sometimes. The guests who stayed right above us were quite noisy. The kids were running around and making noises after 12pm. We didn't have a good sleep. We didn't know why we could hear upstairs movements. Nice new hotel. The security guard at main entrance was very friendly with warm greetings every time we went back to hotel. The room was upgraded to sea view room and with enjoyable view. The hotel is within walkable distance to downtown, but we didn’t want to, and it would dry out our energy during sunshine at 35 degree. It’s just easy to get Grab and around RM6-8 to main tourist area. It’s enjoyable to have sun bath and swim at pool in late afternoon.

It is a huge disappointment for the mistake because the price of 4Star. - Cheap renovation design and material - Bad sound proofing - low quality mattress (the spring noise is loud) - long waiting to check in - no view, the room facing residential block - breakfast not enough sitting and additional charge for kids + clean and new + service is fast and good ( when request additional pillow)
