Perfectly set up for staying near the entrance to Volcanoes NP. If you stock up on groceries before leaving Kailua-Kona or Hilo the large kitchen is well-equipped for cooking meals.

We loved our stay at this cute bungalow near Kilauea Volcano. It had a sweet mountain cabin feel with all the amenities you’d need. The grounds are well kept and nice for a short early morning stroll. The bungalow is a 5 min drive away from Volcano visitor center too!

First time visiting the Hilo side of the island and the location of our lodging was great. Explored the volcanoes and the surrounding areas in all directions. Very intriguing and educational. The lodging had everything. The only comment we have is that the tv didn’t work. It would have been nice to have later in the evenings. Not a big deal though. Thx.

The property was best location to volcano national park. 10 minute drive and we could view Kilauea eruption. Although dated the property is very clean and host responsive to a couple small issues. Pilot light on heater needed lighting and battery change in one smoke detector (chirping incessantly our second night). Be aware this is located in rain forest so very humid and frequent rain/drizzle. Kitchen has basics but due to humidity spices need pounding to use. If you plan to cook, cookware is well-used and not non-stick. Cable tv has very limited channels. We chose to stream on a laptop and brought a Bluetooth speaker. Wi-Fi was good enough to handle multiple devices. Cell service was ok to talk or text. Would stay here again.

We are local residents and needed a place to stay while repairs were done at our home. We chose this cottage as it was nearby and convenient for us. The home was clean and neat and had everything we needed. We did call the property manager once during our stay - the battery in the smoke detector died and needed replacement. It happened very late in the afternoon and we didn't want to deal with a beeping smoke detector all night. It didn't take long for Dwayne to arrive and replace the battery. He didn't seem at all upset for the late call. Thank you, Dwayne! We would recommend this property if you are looking to stay close to the National Park or if you just want a nice, quiet and comfy place for a get-away. Mahalo for letting us stay at your lovely home!

Loved having a home away from home on the big island. We explored the Hilo side from here for a few days. Place is well situated for visiting National Park. We went to see eruption multiple times in a day. Two full bathrooms in mirrored split plan home. Our bed was very comfortable and bedroom is carpeted which was nice during chilly mornings. We would recommend a stay. This is not a fancy high end accommodation. It is clean, comfy and homey. Reminded me of my grandparents’ vacation home.

Wonderful cottage nestled in a rainforest setting, far back from the road. It was clean, comfortable, ample towels and bedding/blankets. Every room had night lights and switches were clearly labeled. Perfect for two couples, matching en-suite bedrooms. And so close to Hawaii Volcanoes NP, made it easy for us to be there early. Sorry we didn't plan a longer stay.

I was duly impressed with the cleanliness of this home...Loved all the amenities..quiet. peaceful, safe...the foilage surrounding this hale was beautiful...especially with the sun peeking in thru the ferns and sparkly dews on the anthuriums..Highly recommend!

This house is lovely and couldn’t be more conviently located for visiting the National Park. The kitchen is well organized and has everything needed to cook a full meal. We’re here with family but it would work for two couples as both bedrooms have their own bathrooms and doors that close to the living room, making each its own private suite. We would stay here again and recommend to our family and friends. The property manager was very helpful.

We absolutely loved this place. It is a perfect size and set up for two couples as you each have you own rooms and bathrooms, plus a full living space and kitchen. The beds were comfortable and cosy. Nice and close to the National Park.

Volcano is a second home to me, I still have family on the island. Loved visiting them, and then coming home to this comfortable, pretty place in the middle of the rainforest. Volcanoes national Park is my favorite place in the world.

First time visiting the Hilo side of the island and the location of our lodging was great. Explored the volcanoes and the surrounding areas in all directions. Very intriguing and educational. The property was best location to volcano national park. 10 minute drive and we could view Kilauea eruption. Although dated the property is very clean and host responsive to a couple small issues. Pilot light on heater needed lighting and battery change in one smoke detector (chirping incessantly our second night). Be aware this is located in rain forest so very humid and frequent rain/drizzle. Kitchen has basics but due to humidity spices need pounding to use. If you plan to cook, cookware is well-used and not non-stick. Cable tv has very limited channels. We chose to stream on a laptop and brought a Bluetooth speaker. Wi-Fi was good enough to handle multiple devices. Cell service was ok to talk or text. Would stay here again.

We have stayed at several. VRBO rentals in the last 3 years. This one is heads and shoulders above sll others. The bedrooms were comfortable, TV was easy to use. And the location was central to all .activities Everything

Great location, and well appointed space. So much room for the price!! We appreciated being so close to the park entrance. We noticed some bugs but the caretaker was quick to address. Listening to the birds and frogs was a highlight.

This rental was above expectations. Close to Volcano NP and the property was great. Very clean and spacious. Lovely area and felt very secure. Sounds from frogs and birds at night was something! Feels like you are the only one in the area.

There was confusion with caretaker and our arrival date so the house wasn't ready when we showed up. However, it was taken care of quickly. We loved having separate bathrooms for the separate, huge, rooms. Location was great for exploring Volcano Nat'l Park. And the surroundings are SOOOOO quiet!!!!

It was a bit hard to find control for opening the gate, would be good to mention its location in checkin process. Would be nice to have more comfortable and thicker linens. The blanket works when stacked but not comfortable
