My family and I made the best out of our stay, but we didn't have the best experience. I stayed at this home in the wintertime and there's not many upgrades, only upgrade to the upstairs bathroom. The reason why I booked the second time around because we enjoyed our stay a few years back and we thought since its summer month we could take our boat since the description states the home have a boat dock. So, we booked-after booking we messaged the host and asked if we can leave our boat at the dock during our stay, she messaged back and said let me get back to you. I waited a couple days with no response. We never got a response. As it got closer to our stay I called and left a message-no response! So, I sent her a text message and she finally responded saying they will try and get the dock moved and we can fish off of it. Good we didn't take the boat cause the dock was submerged in water. We couldn't even fish off of it. Second, refrigerator didn't get cold, I reach out and she said for me to place a bowl of ice in the refrigerator and the reason why it wasn't getting cold is because I filled it up with warm food. Thank God we brought coolers because we had to keep our drinks in the cooler and switch food from freezer to refrigerator to keep cool. No light over pool table, was told to get lamps from downstairs. LASTLY, Gas leak from stove igniter, woke up with the whole house smelling like gas. She sent someone out but that's it-no follow up on the issue. Very disappointed

The communication with the property manager was spot on. The property itself is outdated, the roof was leaking in various locations. The preset heater temperature did not extend to the 2nd level. Sliders do not lock on the 1st and 2nd level. Could not use the washer or dryer without the breaker tripping. Overall stay was not worth what was paid.

Trip with friends was the best ever! Great location near the water. Deck, bbq, hot tub, and trees. Felt like our own mountain escape. Would stay here again!

Our group enjoyed our stay. The big space for games and entertainment. The pool table was enjoyed by our group. The location was ideal. Close to trash drop off and activities.

One of the 2 showers did not work. This is tough when you have a large group. Upon telling the rental company about this, they didn't really seem to care. Multiple doors on the property did not lock. This is problematic for obvious reasons! There were open joints all throughout the cabin where you could see light coming thru. There was mold in the one of the downstairs bedrooms. There was a hornets nest in the wall. The Thermostat could not be adjusted (per checkout instructions). We ulimately enjoyed our stay. But this cabin left a lot to be desired and is in major need of being updated!

The cabin needs some upgrading as other reviewers have stated. The lock in the sliding glass door in the living room is non-existent so it's a good thing it's on the second floor. The jacuzzi was partially filled so we couldn't use it. We knew from the description the boat dock wasn't available but it needs serious repair if/when the water level does go back up. Word of warning, the light in the 2nd floor bathroom has a timer. It will switch off leaving one to shower in the dark. For the price I paid, it was not worth it and the $200 cleaning fee is steep considering it was not spotless. The last thing I'll mention ... bring another wine glass if there's more than one person drinking wine. They have exactly 1 but many champagne glasses. The location was quiet and the pool table was a bonus even though it's in a tight space. I would stay here again but absolutely not at this price.

The location of the house was nice. It was just outside of town and about 2 miles from snow summit. It is in the water but the lake is still low so the water right there is not the best. The dock is not useable so don’t plane in that. You are right behind the hall away marina and they have boat slips if you need to dock your boat. The inside of the house was fantastic. The bedroom layouts are perfect and you can tell they are making upgrades as they go along. I would recommend this unit.

Close to everything. Walk to the lake. All rooms were clean. The entrance landscape needs some repairs we had to waltch our step stepping on the stones

The management of this cabin was the most unhelpful management I have ever experienced. We showed up at the cabin and were welcomed by some trash and dirty dishes. When we tried to find the wifi and were unsuccessful we texted management and they never responded. Then the next morning when we were using the middle floor shower, we realized that the ceiling in the downstairs bedroom was leaking all over our beds and belongings. We had people that had to sleep on the ground that night and weren't provided help. Overall, it was super disappointing and even though we did get partially refunded, it was definitely not worth it. Never staying here again.

The property was very unclean. The jacuzzi tub was partially filled with water and had mold. There were broken boards by the tv with mold on them. The dryer lint filter was completely filled and didn’t fully fit the screen due to the lint build up. There were ants in the kitchen along with mouse droppings behind the fridge. Also found a dead mouse in a trap next to the dryer! Looked like it had been there a little while. There were cookies and new years’ Eve hats on top of the refrigerator. My family and I checked in on the 19th, 18 days past New Year’s Day. My son has asthma and he couldn’t stop coughing and sneezing. We could only stay there 1-night and that only happened because my children were exhausted.

Great location, very clean, kitchen well stocked. Plenty of room for our family, would stay here again!

This camp home has potential. It's a beautiful home but it needs an upgrade (the stove, beds, and windows). It's dirty since there were mouse droppings and no hand soap. The pictures online are not close to what this house looks like. I'll rather pay a little more and stay somewhere more upgraded.

My family and I had a good time. The house was nice close to the lake, but had a very bad urine smell that blew you away as soon as you open the door.

We had a great stay and the owner was really flexible when we made a mistake and didn’t book the cabin for the right dates. It’s an awesome location and super close to everything! The cabin was clean and tidy. It had a great kitchen but we did however notice there were not enough cooking utensils and items needed such as Tupperware, extra paper towels, cooking oil, and basic seasonings. There also was not enough garbage bags and dishwasher soap. Overall we had a great stay just would recommend restocking things better!

My daughter arrived at 3pm which is check in time and the cleaning lady was there. She had to wait another 45 minutes for her to finish. Mold and mildew in both bathrooms - shower walls, outside the shower doors and all around the seal of the tub. Mold growing in corners of the bedrooms downstairs (in the wood). You can tell where someone tried to patch some areas that have leaked but didnt do it very well. The iciing on the cake was when my son in law took a shower in the upstairs bathroom and water started pouring from the light fixture in the bedroom beneath it. As well as the wall on the far side of the same bedroom. I contacted Stacie and I did get an immediate response. Her solution was to send someone to the house to change the bedding on the beds that got wet. No apology or anything. So 8 people had to share 1 shower for 3 days. Now onto the dust layer. So thick on the railing of the loft you couldn't even blow it off. The toilet paper holder fell off the wall as soon as it was touched. The reviews I read said that it was a very clean place. And that is not what we experienced. Extremely disappointed

We loved the house and it fit our needs perfectly!! We would definitely go back. the convenience to the rentals of pontoon was amazing. Walking distance. Even though we weathered a hurricane we made the best of it and brought games to play!

This cabin has a lot of space if you are traveling with a group of 8.

Great property, plenty of space, and things to entertain your group! Very close to a marina as well as the village, and you do have a nice little view of the lake! Easy communication with the owner, overall a great house for a trip to Big Bear!

I go to big bear every year. Beary blessed cabin was just like the photos. Close to everything. The owners were EXTREMELY commutative, access was easy. I would return. Just two minor things : 1. I would like to see: cleaning supplies, I take care of the house as if it was mine. And there was nothing but dish soap *the morning after check in someone did knock and bring toilet paper and paper towels* 2. A shovel to clear the steps. It was hard carrying groceries or luggage because the ice build up was dangerous, you had to hold the rail and skip a step

We booked this for our early Thanksgiving celebration with our family and we all loved our stay here! There is a pool table and we had fun playing all day! Our family enjoyed our time here and they wanna come back again next year! The owner was very responsive when I asked questions. Overall, we had fun in this beautiful cabin!

We enjoyed our stay and it was a great space for my family. It’s such a peaceful neighborhood. My children enjoyed hanging out on the patio and taking walks through the neighborhood. There’s a home within walking distance that has a live goat in their yard. It was a fun surprise for the kiddos.
