First of all, parking was a breeze. Although the hotel doesn't have it's own dedicated lot, there is easy-access parking just around the corner in an outdoor lot. We kept our car there for the three days we were in Bergen and just used the #1 train to easily get in and out of the city center. The train is a five minute walk from the hotel. Although we are in our 70s and this is obviously a "hip" hotel (do people still use that term?) we never felt out of place or unwanted. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, the housekeeping staff always said hello and smiled whenever we passed them in the hallways. This hotel is not located in the heart of the tourist district, but sits on a much quieter harbor around the corner from the main harbor. We loved the location. There aren't many restaurant choices nearby, but we would recommend skipping Ostra next door which we didn't like at all and trying out Restaurant Aster just a ten minute stroll up the harbor to the pedestrian bridge. We loved it, the staff is friendly and not pretentious, the food delicious and it's in a quiet setting.

Beds too firm/hard, unpleasant both for adults and kids. Felt sore, woke up several times. Excellent breakfast, and the breakfast/dinner/bar/hangout place is fun and cozy. The gym looked pretty good too, with the basics. Friendly staff.

Very nice hotel. The reception/bar/lobby area is very nice and has several areas to sit and relax. Very friends staff at all levels. Nice rather big rooms. Very clean. Close to litght rail to city center and southbound to the airport. The hotel is located at sea side with nice walking areas along the seaside. Quiet area, nice to sit at the docks just relaxing. My new favoritt hotel in Bergen. Way to go, Moxy!

Great location, fairly central, within a 10min drive from the main attractions in the town centre. Close to a tram stop too. Loved the industrial loft/artistic and quirky design of the hotel - very stylish. Breakfast was very good, had a decent variety of options. One of the standout features of Moxy was its breakfast area. It's designed with ample soft and relaced seating options inside and outside rather than just traditional tables and chairs, even encouraging social interaction among guests. The hotel truly excels in providing other spaces for guests to socialize and unwind. The common areas are equipped with plenty of seating, making it easy to strike up conversations with fellow travellers. There are numerous board games and books available, creating a warm and inviting environment for both families and solo travellers. For those looking for a bit more activity, the hotel offers a table tennis area and a gym. The game room is well-maintained and adds an extra layer of enjoyment to the stay. There is a paid public parking available next to the nearby hospital, Solheimsgaten 9 Parking on Google Maps, within just a 5 min walk. It costs about £18 per 24hrs.

Moxy Bergen was a great choice for my friend and I in our road-trip around. The surrounding waterfront is super beautiful yet peaceful. Public transit is convenient. The food and lounge area were all quite comfortable and fun. We ate multiple meals and enjoyed everything we had (burgers, snacks, drinks, breakfast). Appreciate how many vegetarian and non alcoholic options there were! Friendly staff and super comfortable stay overall! Parking is close by and easy as well.

Good hotel, value for money. Busy common area if you like that kind of thing. Bit of a walk from the train station and to the centre of town, but beautifully located directly on the water in a relatively newer part of town. Would stay again.

It’s a great place if you know what to expect going in. All parking is off site only a block away, 5 min walk at most. I loved their lobby/dining area as well as the view off the deck over the water. Waitstaff was nice with some much friendlier than others. If you’re going soon there is construction right outside the hotel which was pretty loud in the morning but didn’t affect us much because we were up early each day. Cleaning staff seems to start earlier than here in the states so depending on your sleeping schedule it could be an issue. We loved the convenience to city center which allowed us to stretch our legs with a mile walk into town. Close to light rail and parks. Would stay here again

First, the positives: we paid for a room with a view of the harbor, which was lovely. Being able to take the tram into town was very convenient. I’m afraid it’s downhill from there… The awful smell of sewer gasses emanating from the bathroom sink the first morning and then from the shower drain the second morning alone ruined our stay. We did complain after the first night and they had maintenance repair the trap in the sink drain but we then had the same experience the next morning - this time from the shower drain. At other Marriott properties I’ve stayed at, they would’ve simply moved us to another room, but not here. We paid for breakfast both mornings and found it very disappointing, especially after an exceptional experience the day before at a different hotel. It just wasn’t up to Marriott standards and it was the same both mornings. The key card reader in both lifts didn’t work properly - it wasn’t just us, every time we got in the lift, other guests also struggled to get the card reader to work. We were able to park at a nearby surface lot but the staff at reception weren’t able to help point us to any nearby EV charging facilities (surprising considering the number of EVs we’ve seen in Norway). We had a much better experience at all the other hotels we stayed in during this week-long trip to Norway. I’m usually a fan of Marriott properties but we will not be staying at another ‘Moxy’ after this experience.

good: enough space in the room not so good: daily cleaning was suboptimal. Complain at the front desk but nothing has been changed. Front desk tells you can speak to the manager. Ha, ha, ha. We have to use same bath towels for 4 nights. No one replace it for us. I paid extra for a Sea View room and instead they gave me a room that did not look like what was promoted when booking. We need go to the front desk to complaint about it to have a better view another day.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The bar prices for food and drink were reasonable and the bar food was good. The breakfast was excellent. The room was scrupulously clean and nicely spacious. There wasn't much storage space but it was adequate. The mattress was very firm to the point of being somewhat uncomfortable so we didn't sleep particularly well sometimes.

I really enjoyed the main entrance/ Lobby area. It was a lovely vibe with different types of games to play, and delicious drinks! I was a little disappointed when we found a tooth brush on the floor in our room from the last guest. It made me feel like the room wasn’t cleaned well. Overall a great place to stay!

You’ve gotta be a flintstone to sleep on the beds at this hotel. The mattress is basically a slab of rock. Good selection of drinks though.

Hotel is near the tram line which you can get from the airport stop is called Florida. It is three stops from Bergen centre. Hotel is basic no tea or coffee, no wardrobe, small rooms but quirky, clean, quiet (went in April) staff nice and great cocktails in the lobby bar. Didn’t eat there as centre not far plus there are restaurants nearby, also a bakery a short walk away where we went for breakfast.

Veldig hyggelige omgivelser, kjekke ansatte, lett adkomst, ikke minst mht parkering. Vi ble godt tatt imot, med effektiv innsjekking, flott rom med utsikt ut over Puddefjorden. Rommet var helt rent og pent, men jeg synes at det var dårlige forhold mht å jobbe med PC.- Men det ødela ikke oppholdet for oss. Strategisk ligger hotellet veldig bra til, skjermet fra byens larm, men ikke minst mht til avstanden til Gamle Forum kino, hvor vi hadde sett på Lyngbø show på kvelden. vi fikk vite at OSTRA restaurant lå i samme bygget på gateplan. Der ble det middag, fantastisk.- Vi ville egentlig spise på hotellet, men der serverte de bare enkle retter. - Vi avsluttet vårt opphold med god frokost. kommer nok igjen.

ONLY redeeming quality hotel was first receptionist and view from the room. Otherwise, worst experience of trip. NO phone in the room. All questions, required trip to reception desk. Asked for adapter to charge phone. Told NO adapters to borrow; should plug phone directly into USB port by bed. Researched it; determined would have fried it. Back to reception, given adapter by different person. TV menu showed many channels available (15 or so). NONE were working. Another trip downstairs. Told by same man entire hotel TV system down and were working on it. Not told that upon check-in. Also stated that they only receive (when working) 3 channels. Asked why, when the TV Menu shows many more...Answer, it is way too expensive to get all those channels so they only pay for 3 of them. Many hours later, went back down again and was told still not working hotel wide. Besides no phone, there was no coffee maker. (Even the cheapest hotel we have stayed in had a coffee maker in the room.) While at the desk, I heard a new guest checking in ask for coffee. Reply. Free coffee closed but can BUY some at bar. Room not satisfactory. No closet; only grid on wall with 4 hangers. No drawers; Desk to small to hold my computer; no chair only stool too low for "desk". Only 2 pillows. Very inappropriate photos of young adult men & women scantily clad jumping on beds and inappropriate poses. Too explicit. Message: PARTY HOTEL; NOT LUXURY HOTEL. Happy only had 1 night stay!

The Property itself was fine, the room was great. The only downside was the staff and how long it took them to do anything. I think this down to only having one till at the bar area, so queues did build up. Also Americans...stop being so loud that you wake up the entire hotel

First of all, parking was a breeze. Although the hotel doesn't have it's own dedicated lot, there is easy-access parking just around the corner in an outdoor lot. We kept our car there for the three days we were in Bergen and just used the #1 train to easily get in and out of the city center. The train is a five minute walk from the hotel. Although we are in our 70s and this is obviously a "hip" hotel (do people still use that term?) we never felt out of place or unwanted. The staff was uniformly friendly and helpful, the housekeeping staff always said hello and smiled whenever we passed them in the hallways. This hotel is not located in the heart of the tourist district, but sits on a much quieter harbor around the corner from the main harbor. We loved the location. There aren't many restaurant choices nearby, but we would recommend skipping Ostra next door which we didn't like at all and trying out Restaurant Aster just a ten minute stroll up the harbor to the pedestrian bridge. We loved it, the staff is friendly and not pretentious, the food delicious and it's in a quiet setting.

Hotel is near the tram line which you can get from the airport stop is called Florida. It is three stops from Bergen centre. Hotel is basic no tea or coffee, no wardrobe, small rooms but quirky, clean, quiet (went in April) staff nice and great cocktails in the lobby bar. Didn’t eat there as centre not far plus there are restaurants nearby, also a bakery a short walk away where we went for breakfast.

Great hotel, staff were fantastic. Plenty to do inside the hotel also with great facilities. My only problem was breakfast and the cue to use the coffee machine! But everything else was great . Would definitely go again if in the area.

The bar is a great choice to relax at the end of tiring day. The location is great even though not dead center in town, just a few minutes with the tram. Got a free welcoming cocktail that was delicious! Standard breakfast with all you need.
