Sonesta Select Phoenix Camelback

Check in was quick as easy. Room was clean. Pool/area clean and enjoyable. Parking was good, garage option. Good options for eating within walking, even if it’s 110 Fahrenheit. 😎. Will stay again.

Very clean, nice workout gym. Large pool and hot tub. Very friendly staff.

The pool closes early at 9pm

Good location. Pool closes at 9 so barely after the sun sets. When it’s 115 during the day it would be nice to enjoy it later. Dark grey pallet throughout. We were upgraded to a suite because they overbooked which was ok. You can tell it was renovated but it’s still not my taste.

Nice and comfortable. Clean room, nice pool. Covered parking. Friendly staff. Great location for shopping and dining. You can walk to a lot of restaurants and shopping.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and had pretty good hygiene products that smelled nice. The microwave worked well and the mini fridge was small but worked well. The pool had a great water temperature and was clean. The washer and dryer worked well as well, and the staff members were super helpful when buying detergent and trading in money for quarters. The location was perfect, with lots of stores and restaurants nearby.

Really enjoyed the courtyard. Hot tub was clean! Nice lobby, comfortable rooms, quiet. Lots of shopping and dining nearby.

We requested housekeeping but nobody ever showed up. We tried to eat breakfast outside but the one table with 4 chairs they provided were filthy. We cleaned them ourselves and ended up with several black paper towels.

Room was not very clean. They gave me a handicapped room (which I didn’t need or ask for) and the bathroom snaked quite bad …think it was coming from the drain. Not a great experience.

All in all the hotel and room was clean and welcoming. staff was friendly upon checking in and out. Parking was easy.

Outdated and dirty. I found small bugs in my room and the bathroom was dingy and the shower was a mess- none of the jobs were working, water was spraying out of all of the different nozzles. I showered at my friend’s house. Absolutely not worth the $500 for two nights. Outrageous for the experience.

Floors, baseboard, and behind nightstand I have never seen so much dirt and junk

We noticed after check in that there was a used bar of soap with hair on it left in the shower. I went to the front desk and asked for someone to come take care of it. We left for about 6 hours and came back and it was still there. We ended up changing rooms as they had nobody at that time from the cleaning crew to take care of it. Won't stay there again.

The property was ok. The hallways and room carpet turned me off for the entire stay.

Property was central to city activities, shopping, dining facilities and easy access to freeways. The carpets in the hallways need cleaning or updating, made the hallways look drab.

Nice. Helpful. Good location. Not quiet. There was a constant roaring noise in the second-floor hallway. Air conditioning?? Also, we could hear neighbors’ TV at night.

Nice place but the tiniest tv they could find!!! Really who has anything under a50 inch tv now?? Room was freezing cold, not a problem while we slept but it wouldn’t shut off to be comfortable in the room in the morning. Great couch!!

Sonesta needs to catch up. There's not one USB plug in the entire room. I found out there are none to be found in the hotel. Other than that, the curved loveseat sofa is amazing. I'd stay here again but hoping this place comes into the new millennium.

Nice hotel but the mattress will leave your back hurting

It was okay. The room balcony was very much smaller than what was expected from the photos since I paid for a balcony room. The bathroom was a bit uncomfortable with the door being right in front of the toilet so you have to close before sitting or getting in front. Bedding was very comfortable and shower was nice. Fridge really small can’t hold too much food or bottled drinks. Would stay again. Really great area and very convenient location.

Great stay, thank you! My only suggestion would be better beds. They were a little hard, maybe needed a mattress topper.

The rooms are nice, a bit dated, but equipped with everything they need. The bed is comfortable, while the TV is old and small. total lack of empathy,

Good, but could manage the noise around the property better. That includes stoping garbage trucks that come to the property from operating at 3AM and 4AM with loud noises. I do not believe anyone can sleep through that. Two hotel employees we spoke with agreed that the noise is terrible at night but confirmed to us there is nothing they can do about it.

Nice, Clean hotel with friendly staff. I'm sure it's been said 1000 times. But I truly mean this. Quick check in. Nice pool and fire pit. Lots of places nearby. Everything was clean. House cleaning staff very nice as well.

The WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. Staff was DISCRIMINATORY. The first night, their card machine was broken, so we were told to pay the next morning but still received our room keys. In the room, the toilet was filthy and my boyfriend had to clean it himself. When inspecting the bed, I found a disguising yellow stain on the sheets. We notified the staff and she brought us new linen, a food voucher and upgraded our room (thank you to Jodi, the only helpful staff member we had). The next day we got moved to the upgraded room, which was still dirty but manageable. I noticed that a processing charge for the room was in my bank account, so we returned the initial room keys and went about our day. That evening upon returning to our room, our keys weren't working. Thinking maybe we had accidentally deactivated the key, we went to the front desk. We were immediately met with rudeness and hostility by Antoinette, the assistant manager. She told us loudly that she would not be giving us room keys because it showed that our card declined, which was false. When asked what could be a solution to this discrepancy, she said "give me another form of payment". We eventually got the gen manager, Rachel, to come out and she told her to call the card machine company who confirmed the payment. Antoinette didn't apologize, saying she wasn't sure if we were scammers. What hotel accuses their customers first when they had the machine problem! I will be reporting them to the BBB. HORRIBLE.

The staff was very accommodating and let us upgrade our room free of charge so that we could have a balcony view. Also allowed early check in and late check out with charge waived, which was so generous and helpful. Will stay here again.

I left my winter coat in my room when I checked out. I went back a few hours later and was told my coat was no where to be found. I asked if I could look for it and was told no. I informed the front desk staff that I was flying back to Colorado where it was below freezing and didn’t want to leave without my coat. The GM couldn’t be bothered to speak to me when the front desk agent called them. It was a $350 Coat that they just wanted me to forget about. No attempt was made to try and remedy the situation at all. This will be the last time I stay in this off brand Marriott Proptery. Customer Service= 0.

I've stayed here quite a few times and there is one front desk worker believe he maybe a manager. Always made it feel as I was inconveniencing him. Just this last time I stayed checkout is a 11 okay but I had booked another night. He calls the room and I work remotely mind you and he is demanding that I come down to the front desk. Spoke to me as if I was 10 years old, the rooms paid for already what's the rush buddy. Guaranteed if it were any one of their regular type of guest it wouldn't be a problem. Oh absolutely sir that would be just fine sir Would there be anything I can get you till you come down sir. All the other staff amazing, but this really turned me away from staying here.

Comfortable bed & room. Nice to be in a mall setting. 2 complaints: need better Signage from the road. Nab kept telling us to turn right into random parking lots. 2) Housekeeping started knocking & trying to come in at 8 am, multiple times.

Great location in Phoenix’s very walkable Town & Country shopping, with restaurants, sports bar, shops, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods. No issues with room, etc.

Hotel is in a mall so walkable to everything from Whole Foods to dining to shopping. Easy parking.

The bed was very comfortable and was surprised to find the hotel in the middle of some nice retail stores and restaurants. Good location for us.

The area around this property has a lot of shipping and restaurants. Easy walk to the Biltmore fashion area (3 blocks or so). Also easy and free parking. Was quieter than expected given the location. Would stay again

The location was excellent. Easy to get to downtown Phoenix or to Scottsdale. Lovely pool and whirlpool spa. Many restaurants in walking distance.

Great option near Biltmore Fashion park if looking to save a little. It has a nice little pool area and is within easy walking distance to the Biltmore shops. Plus there is a Whole Foods right next door.

Great service and room was clean and bed was comfy. No issues and look forward to Sonesta stay again in the future. Lots of things to do are close by, shopping, eating, entertainment. Love this area for things to do and proximity to so many good things to do. Hiking, amazing food places on Camelback and East Indian School and close to Old Scottsdale.

The rooms are fairly nice and there are plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Don’t buy the $10 add on breakfast. It is so minimal and limited- not a good deal. Egg bites (you can have 2 only) are your only protein- small and not good. Made in their microwave. Pool is decent. Fitness center also decent- free weights, treadmills, bikes, yoga mats. Friendly check-in staff. Starbucks staff not to typical Starbucks quality.

It was clean safe smells clean reasonable price and staff were polite. Except no breakfast served in house except the commons Starbucks. Thank you.

Our time was comfortable and the coffee maker was great. The hotel staff was wonderful, very accommodating of our service animals, as my husband is a disabled veteran. The location was ideal. Breakfast was rather pricey. We plan to go back.

This is a nice place, but I have two suggestions for them. First, the room was exceptionally cold when we arrived. It was 105 outside, so it's really crazy to set the thermostat at 65. Second, for the price we were paying, a free breakfast would be nice.

Very familiar with the area, but my first time staying here. This is a very pricey part of Phoenix and this hotel is a quality bargain compared to other hotels. The room was clean and well equipped for a business traveler. Hidden, but located in a major strip mall shopping area, it is steps away from great stores and restaurants, like Rack And Snooze. Antoinette at the front desk was amazingly helpful during my stay. My only words of caution are: no free coffee or breakfast, but there is a lobby coffee shop like counter that was staffed and open in the morning when I was there. But there are a few good places in the strip mall to eat. Next, this part of town, like many major cities will have some sketchy people walking or bicycling around at night. The parking is around the side of the hotel and not near the front entry. Any solo travelers, pay extra attention of your surroundings at night. But I would stay here again.

At first it was not so great , but then at check in the second lady was spectacular, and the breakfast ladies made the stay well worth it!!! The pool view is well worth the upgrade I do recommend it

The hotel was acceptable. The furnishing to nice the art was not nice in the rooms lol, I know its hard to make everyone happy but its my review. I paid for a breakfast. I had no idea. I was very sub standard as breakfast, but the coffee was very nice.

Perfect location, walkable to several shopping options restaurants. Whole Foods next door. Fresh lemon water in the lobby. Starbucks coffee fresh in the lobby every morning. Loved everything about this hotel, will be back!
