The details that the owner has put into this property are just incredible! The kitchen and living room are fantastic! The only downside is an extremely steep driveway that is a bit difficult to traverse via vehicle or on foot. This is also in the basement of someone’s home and the floorboards above are quite noisy & the owners were walking around throughout the middle of the night the last night we were there but the other two nights we slept pretty well.

I booked this place to surprise my husband, after some medical issues kept us home from a planned trip to New Zealand, and he was truly pleased! The place was clean, bed was very comfy, and the detail of the decor was enchanting! We enjoyed making our "first breakfasts" in the beautiful and well-stocked kitchen, watching the movies, exploring the Russellville area, and even showering in a "waterfall"! We were able to park our Prius by the entry, of what was a bit of a steep driveway, with no problems. We recommend a trip to the restaurant at the Lodge at Petit Jean State Park, also with some great hikes, and highly recommend this Hobbit House stay to others! We would stay here again, and recommend others bring their favorite coffee to enjoy around a campfire, or while watching and reliving the Hobbit all over again!

This property was so ornate and cozy. We spent our evenings binge watching the entire Hobbit series, and our days cooking and hiking a short drive away. The beds and couches were extremely comfortable. I took so many photos of the details, carvings, decorations, and aesthetic. We cooked full meals in the kitchen, which had plenty of cookware. The setting is under the owners home, and we heard him playing piano- which was a cool vibe tbh. We would definitely go back.

Great place! Living room with the giant couch was awesome and the outside fire pit was a nice touch. Kitchen and dining room had plenty of space. We got snowed in and the host reached out to make sure we had everything we needed.

We are local to the area so it was an easy trek across town. It was a fun weekend getaway for my husband and me. Everything was clean. Bed was comfy. We were supplied everything we needed and what wasn’t there was retrieved from a quick trip down the road to restaurants and other shopping. Lots of thought was put into creating this space and the owner keeps it well maintained. Will definitely stay here again!

I was able to book this with only a days notice. It was a really good value and the property owner was amazing! I would highly suggest this property for a short get away for a couple for sure! The communication between the property owner and I was awesome and it made the stay so much more enjoyable! This property is extremely clean and well kept. It was one of the more unique properties I’ve ever stayed at and well worth the price! I will most likely be booking this again for sure!

Our nerdy little family had a blast staying at the "Hobbit Hole"! We watched the Hobbit trilogy, played games, and tried a few local restaurants. As for the listing, we really enjoyed the décor and attention to detail. The spa bathroom was also a wonderful bonus. It was clean and spacious, and the beds were COMFY! Also, Michael (the host) was great with communication and helping with any questions we had. We highly recommend this experience!

We stayed two nights. Unit has easy access to lake, restaurants, etc. Two bedrooms and two main spaces - the living area with huge couch and the kitchen. Unit was clean and the two Hobbit themed doors and fireplace were the main attraction/theme. Host was very responsive to communication. Need to use the Xbox controller to get the Hobbit dvd to play on the tv.

This place is a hidden gem!! The attention to detail in every room was extremely well thought out and added a bit of magic to every space. The primary bed is like sleeping on a cloud and we still can’t stop talking about it! Lol we will definitely stay here again the next time we pass through town.

The detail and effort in the decor and design of this place was simply fantastic! Well worth the trip. I did have my 15 month old toddler with us , that was my only downside. There are many treasures inside the hobbit house that I had to protect from little tiny curious hands. Also there was a stairway that made me nervous for a curious climber. But I still found time to soak , relax and enjoy the clawfoot tub. The couch is the bomb, the beds are the bomb, the entire house is fantastic!

This trip was a college graduation gift for my Tolkien Fan Daughter. The house is beautifully done in every room! We were so impressed, and had an amazing time. Excellent communication from the host as well. We would definitely like to come here again!

The amount of work the host has put into the decor of this place is amazing. It was a fun place to stay. If you have the chance to text or speak to the owner its an impressive story about the work done to create this space. The location was easy to get to and a short drive into town.

We were able to park our Prius by the entry, of what was a bit of a steep driveway, with no problems. We recommend a trip to the restaurant at the Lodge at Petit Jean State Park, also with some great hikes, and highly recommend this Hobbit House stay to others! We would stay here again, and recommend others bring their favorite coffee to enjoy around a campfire, or while watching and reliving the Hobbit all over again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hobbit hole in Russellville. The woodwork is outstanding, and the huge green door made us feel like we were in our own Hobbit hole. We really appreciated all the decorative touches that made this space feel like we were staying in a fantasy. However, the fantasy lost some magic when we heard footsteps coming from the house above us. The owners were kind and helpful, though, especially when were were having difficulties with the TV. We discovered some cool restaurants and shops in town and enjoyed hibernating as a family. Thank you for a restful and fantastical experience!

We are local to the area so it was an easy trek across town. It was a fun weekend getaway for my husband and me. Everything was clean. Bed was comfy. We were supplied everything we needed and what wasn’t there was retrieved from a quick trip down the road to restaurants and other shopping. Lots of thought was put into creating this space and the owner keeps it well maintained. Will definitely stay here again!

The property was just as described and it is amazing the attention to detail with the design and decor. The kitchen was fairly well stocked and the appliances were higher end. The beds were super comfy. The spa shower was great and the bathtub, a plus after a long day of hiking. The hobbit house is very convenient to shopping, restaurants and state parks. We truly enjoyed our stay!

I booked this place as a surprise anniversary get away. We loved our stay here. We enjoyed staying in watching The Lord of the Rings right next to the beautiful hobbit door! We also enjoyed venturing out to some great State Parks: Less than 10 minutes from Lake Dardanelle and about 45 min from Petit Jean. The Hobbit House also seemed like it would be a great getaway for a family or friends who love Tolkien. Kitchen is great if you want to cook your own meals and the couches and bed are comfy. You can hear noises from upstairs, so light sleepers may want to pack a noise machine.

We stayed two nights. Unit has easy access to lake, restaurants, etc. Two bedrooms and two main spaces - the living area with huge couch and the kitchen. Unit was clean and the two Hobbit themed doors and fireplace were the main attraction/theme. Host was very responsive to communication. Need to use the Xbox controller to get the Hobbit dvd to play on the tv.

The hosts took great care in creating a number of Middle Earth features at this property, the most significant being the Hobbit door and wood engraved door. Almost everything in the house has an old world or antique feel to it. The king bed was incredibly comfortable and there are numerous places for your group to relax with a book or sleep. The host was very responsive in answering questions and check in was simple. If you love Tolkien or fantasy books this is the spot for you. There are a number of fascinating decorative pieces that will spark some conversation over beloved storybooks. This is also a great place for anyone who would like a unique place to stay in Arkansas. We hope to return again someday.

The space feels like you just immersed yourself into the world of The Hobbit. The kitchen was well equipped... overall rooms were clean and comfortable and inviting. The host was very clear and responsive and timely with any questions we had. Definitely recommend... even if you never watched The Hobbit or are not into the genre... the home is a must see.
