We stayed in the apartment unit. It was a great size for two people and large for Europe standards. The bathroom is excellent with double sinks and a great shower set up with lots of hot water. The air condition worked fine for a hot July. The location worked well and was quite, yet close to plenty of good restaurants and a 15 min walk to the train station. The only negative was they only provide two paper thin pillows for the bed. That’s an easy and cheap upgrade they should consider making. Also, the staff was very friendly.

no ato da reserva foi informado que o hotel tem elevador, equando fiz o check-in, o meu quarto no 3 andar não era atendido pelo elevador pois o meso só vai até o 2 andar, pedi mudança de quanto, pois tenho dificuldade para subir escadas, e não tinha outro quarto, a primeira noite tive que fiar com esse quarto, já a segunda e a terceira, me colocaram num quarto que era atendido por elevador.

Great service, good location and friendly staff. Pictures of room just like the actual thing. Highly recommend. Hotel has an elevator to the 2nd floor, only needed one set of stairs to 3rd floor room. Elevators are hard to find in Venice! Extremely helpful and friendly staff.

This is a building that is 500yrs old. Great location to San Marco Square yet in the quite neighborhood. Has an elevator! Concierge was amazing and very helpful.

Hotel is old but well maintained. Nice hotel with the budget， clean, good location and close to ferry station. It costs 9€/person to arrive S. Lucia station in a 5mins ferry ride. If you travel with big luggage I would recommend you to stay near train station. This hotel is with elevator, which is a plus! Night time after 10pm returning hotel could be a bit insecure for solo lady traveler coz finally will need to walk through a quite small alley (it’s short though will always have other pedestrian) to arrive hotel.

We stayed in the apt. at this hotel. Plus, was the space! we had a small kitchen, living room, spacious bathroom and nice bedroom. Minus, it is NOT attached to the hotel but a small walk 5 doors down. The apt has OLD SCHOOL keys for 2 doors which is a pain to carry. Lets upgrade to key pads folks! (if allowed). So now coming down from your room for a night cap or in slippers for a quick expresso. The staff was AMAZING! They also make their own prosecco which was delicious. The neighborhood and location are great. very quiet and about 8 minutes to the train depot.

We stayed at the Casanova apartment that is located in a different building next to the hotel. It looks recently remodeled and it had 2 separate rooms and a large bathroom. It was very clean. It was perfect for our family of four with 2 adolescents. It would be great for a longer stay. It also has a small kitchenette. Friendly staff, walkable distance from Sta. Lucia train station. I would repeat.

This was my fourth visit to Venice and we stayed at this Hotel since we were meeting with family that were staying in the St Croce district where this hotel is located. The location although not in the center of the more tourist spots has a vaporetto stop near by that will take you anywhere. Beautiful historic but old rooms. Out comforter was soiled which is unacceptable specially for the price. We stayed in (7) different hotels during out two week vacation in Italy and the breakfast here was below average and the absolute worst by far of all of the hotels.

This was my fourth visit to Venice and we stayed at this Hotel since we were meeting with family that were staying in the St Croce district where this hotel is located. Good location not too far from the train station. The property was very nice although the room was quiet small. We were in a top room with a sloping ceiling and my tall partner couldn’t stand in half the room. The breakfast was good with several food options and made to order drinks.

Excellent hotel in a great location, easily accessed from the nearby water bus stop San Stae. There are some useful shops and cafes in the local area as well as the natural history museum right next door. The staff were very friendly and we were lucky to have our room upgraded to a suite which was fantastic. We would happily stay here again in the future.

Beautiful hotel but, air conditioning was not working properly. It was quite hot in the room, even at night. Many complaints from other guests. If they would rectify this problem, we would return, as it was in a very convenient area.

We stayed in the family room and it was perfect! The rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice and the location was great! My only complaints were the shower in the master bedroom was way too small, luckily some us were able to use the larger shower in the adjoining room. Also, the bed in the master room was so firm, almost like sleeping on the floor! We still had a great stay and would definitely choose this hotel again.

The room was Italian awesome! Looked like Versace could have slept there! It had a very comfortable bed with golden headboard and was very clean. I think the ceilings might have be 16' high and the walls were covered in red damask fabric. With it's 12" thick walls, I don't think it could be anything but quiet. Loved everything about it.

Great location. The hotel room was dark and Venetian style. My daughter loved it, felt a little outdated. Mattresses and pillows need to be replaced. Breakfast bar was excellent and the service was exceptional.

Wonderful stay at Hotel Al Duca Di Venezia. Warm welcome, beautiful Venetian style room and good breakfast. In a good location with a number of restaurants nearby and short walk to all the tourist spots. Out of the main hustle and bustle area which made for a more relaxing stay.

I had experienced the worst welcoming at the reception by the manager Katerina. I have tried 20 countries with hotels, BnB, Air bnb, but never had been treated like this. I chose this hotel because of the good reviews. When I was getting our room card and tried to get an extra one for my parents, she said later because she needs to talk to her staff. Later on, I went out again so that we can get it sort out before going out for sight seeing. She said not right now and send me away again. This is ridiculous when this is your job to serve your guests and answer customers questions. I talked to her politely the whole time even asked if she's okay and how was she doing. I did not come all the way from Canada for this attitude and rude welcoming need not to mention my parents came all the way from Hong Kong. I do not need any compensation but request an apology from the manger Katerina in person.

The hotel was serviceable. The bed was very very hard. And the bathroom was tiny with terrible lighting. In fact the room needs better lighting all around. Staff was not super helpful but it worked for one night. I probably would not stay here again.

Very kind staff. We needed to check-out early and asked if we can have breakfast earlier. We were able to eat as early as 7:10 am vs the usual 8 pm. Very accommodating. Beautiful room for great price. Convenient placement near s. Lucia train station. About 22 min walk to san marco.

Perfect location for us. A very quaint vibrant square within very close walking distance. Lots of restaurants dancing on the square. Also very close to the public water buses to take you everywhere. Right next door to the museum of natural History which was awesome. Delicious free breakfast and wonderful service.

This beautiful hotel in the middle of Venice was a gem! Close to the train station. We were able to walk to all the important features of Venice from the hotel. We happened to walk upon a beautiful courtyard (there are many!) and we enjoyed dinner there every night of our stay.

This is a building that is 500yrs old. Great location to San Marco Square yet in the quite neighborhood. Has an elevator! Concierge was amazing and very helpful.

Loved this hotel but at midnight it was very hard to find. Another couple was also lost but reception was so nice and they had such a nice breakfast. We enjoyed it here and would come back if i could find it.

Excellent place to stay in Venice. Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Very close to the train station (about 10-minute walk) and close to St Mark Square (about 20-minute walk). We will stay again.

Loved the location of this hotel!! Very clean, breakfast good. Staff was very friendly. Convenient to all the tourist sights but in a quiet area. Very good restaurants close by. Would definitely stay here again. The only suggestion to the hotel I would make is better pillows and add robes in the room!

The good thing about this property is the location. Its away from the crowd and close to the train. Venice is small so it's easy to walk to most things. The staff was not particularly helpful. The breakfast was terrible. The gentleman serving the breakfast was nice. But they make you sign up for a time slot to have breakfast otherwise the space is limited. We ended up getting breakfast from outside. Some of the food served was sour and not at all fresh or not tasty. I wanted to like the property. The suite was fair and mostly clean. Although venice is very expensive, I don't think we got our money's worth at this property.

I was told that the tab water isn’t allowed in Venice by a waitress in a restaurant. So at breakfast I asked to have a sealed bottle they wanted to charge me 4 euro when I complained they said there is tab water you should’ve drinked it.

We were surprised to discover that the room we booked was not in the hotel itself, but in an apartment down the street. The apartment was spacious, with a large bedroom and bathroom, but the entrance area felt neglected, with pigeon feathers and debris near the door. The kitchen flooring also felt very cheap and unstable. Unfortunately, our stay was ruined by a bed bug infestation. After the first two nights, we had numerous bites but initially assumed they were from mosquitoes. Having no experience with bed bugs, we didn't recognize the signs. On the third night, however, we woke up to bed bugs crawling on us and captured more than a dozen. Before leaving for the airport, we had to unpack and inspect all of our belongings to avoid bringing them home. We reported the issue to the front desk and showed them the bugs (in a cup & ziploc). One staff member appeared to know which room we were referring to before we even identified it. We later emailed the manager with photos. Although they claimed to be shocked by the situation, they offered a refund for only one of our three nights because we reported it on our final day. We felt this was unreasonable. We reported the issue as soon as we realized it was bed bugs, and the infestation affected our entire stay. Given that the infestation affected our entire stay and required us to take precautions to avoid bringing bugs home, a one-night refund felt inadequate and failed to reflect the seriousness of the issue.
