This was a fantastic place to stay! The view from our balcony over the river was lovely and we enjoyed sitting out there after sunset. There were events in the building which you could opt into and there was a cafe and a restaurant on-site too, plus a gorgeous restaurant next door. The Uber Arena and the train station were a short walking distance away, with food and entertainment options, as well as there being a local bus to take you into the city centre. The kitchen facilities were really useful for us to use for our breakfast. You could cook there too but that wasn’t an option we needed. The staff were friendly and warm - we had a wonderful week in Berlin and would definitely recommend this aparthotel.

There is a parking in front of the east train station for a low daily price (8 euros). The employees went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The gym located at the 8th floor has a great view and it’s fully equipped.

The self contained apartment was great for a longer stay. Lots of restaurants nearby. Close to the east train station which allowed easy access via the U and S lines. Free laundry was greatly appreciated.

This hotel is great. I stayed in the base level studio room and it was really well designed and had quality furnishings. The small balcony was nice too. The lobby is a great place to hang out and opens out to the river if you want to have afternoon drinks. Location is great if you’re planning on going out at night.

Feels like an apartment. Has everything you need. Gym was great and has all the equipment (except treadmill) and lots of natural light. Was convenient to hop on an uber to most places around town.

No cleaning (hotel policy for short stays) For 4 nights. A little disaapointing computer to similar hotels/apart Hotels in the same Price range. The hotel is very nice though - with a nice cafe and restaurant in the lobby area.

Loved the room, the place in general and the staff. Unfortunately there was dirty towels in the bathroom, the oven hadn’t been cleaned and was covered in cheese that had dripped down, and previous guest must have broken a glass as I ended up treading on a piece and having to extract it from my foot. I did message via WhatsApp however got no response.

I had a wonderful stay. Spacious room and large bath with a heated floor. Very clean and so many extras, I did not lack anything. I would definitely stay again and try another Locke property location.

Such a lovely place to stay. 8 minutes to the nearest station and right next to the east side gallery. Balcony views are amazing. Spotlessly clean, great kitchen amenities and gorgeous mid century designed rooms.

Absolutely beautiful stylish hotel next to the Berlin Wall and close to Berlin Östbahnhof. Check in process was easy and the staff were very helpful & friendly. Room was very clean and comfy, with well stocked kitchen (you also get a little pouch of ground speciality coffee to make in French press) and comfy sofa and seating area. We had a great sleep. We will definitely stay here again when in Berlin.

We love staying at Locke Apartments no matter where. Everything is comfy and staff is always very nice! Check in was quick and easy and our room was amazing, including a balcony with river view. Not sure if it had to do with the location of the room but it was quite noisy in the mornings, sounded like someone was rolling around something heavy (or pushing a shopping cart in the hallway). We were close to the elevator, maybe that’s why. Another but hopefully temporary problem was that the WIFI for our room didn’t work properly the whole time of our stay. The reception gave us several new codes but it didn’t work with either of our laptops (which was not great for work) and not for streaming something on TV, what we tried from our mobiles the last evening. I would still recommend staying here and will return : )

An absolutely perfect stay. I would genuinely struggle to find fault with anything at all: we had a warm welcome from arrival, the property is modern, clean and excellently designed. The room was a masterpiece of maximising utility in a small space without feeling crowded. All in all one of the best places I’ve ever stayed

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage ( nahe Ostbahnhof) und an der Spree ( sollte man aber nicht überbewerten, da der Ausblick nicht so toll ist). Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich. Frühstück lohnt sich hier nicht zu buchen (17€ p.P.), da kann man lieber in ein schönes Café gehen, wovon es in Berlin ziemlich viele gibt. Das Zimmer ist sauber, aber auch klein. Das Bett war sehr klein mit 1,40m. Es ist alles drin was man braucht aber man sollte nicht zuviel erwarten. Für das was man geboten bekommt zahlt man schon einen hohen Preis.

The facilities are outstanding and the staff super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying here again! The only teensy downside was that my room faced the main road, so lots of traffic noise when the window was open! I'll pick a river view next time!

Das Zimmer mit Balkon und Blick auf die Spree waren hervorragend. Zur Wasserseite ist es ruhig. Umgeben von der bunten Berliner Mauer, im ehemaligen Niemandsland, ist es historisch sehr schön eingebettet. Die urbane Zimmergestaltung ist toll. Nicht mein letzter Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel 👍

Loved being in the heart of the East Side Gallery, the ease of walking to places & closeness to public transportation. The hotel has everything you need & a 24/7 vending machine extraordinaire behind it for any extras.The rooms were like a home away from home with full kitchen. Staff were incredibly friendly & kind. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I have nothing but the highest praise for the entire staff at The Locke. Sadly, I was injured shortly after I’d arrived in Berlin (off premises) and had to wear a sling during my entire stay. The whole staff were extremely helpful and kind the whole time. This helped me during what would have otherwise been a very unpleasant time. The hotel itself is very nice and well situated (the East Side Gallery is literally at its doorstep and the Ostbahnhof a short walk.) I have nothing but praise for the hotel and its staff, and if I ever return to Berlin (hopefully under better circumstances) I will stay at The Locke again. I highly recommend The Locke for anyone traveling to Berlin.

By far the best service I’ve experienced for a long time. The staff were so nice and went out of their way to help. The aesthetic of the entire hotel is beautiful. You need a key card to enter the elevators.

A fantastic hotel with amazing, friendly and accommodating staff. Great communication throughout as we had issues with our original flight due to a cancellation which meant amending the duration of our stay and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel itself is amazing with a brilliant river view from our balcony which I would fully recommend. 10/10.

I arrived early and the receptionist found a room for me really quickly. My room was clean and had everything i needed dueing my stay. There are many restaurants literally outside the hotel, many different options. I really enjoyed my stay and will book again.

Advertised as a 4 Star Hotel, it is more a 4 star serviced apartment. Housekeeping only once every 7 days. A small cafe area at reception for a very limited breakfast (fruit and croissants). Service at the cafe is very slow. No reception contact telephone in the bedroom, staff communicate via WhatsApp, we had several texts and calls whilst out site seeing chasing us for payment for our room (on our second day), we returned home to find we’d been locked out of our room. No evening bar available for drinks. We stayed as a family of 4, rooms were beautifully decorated but lots of ornaments that we had to put away in the cupboards to avoid breakages with children. Storage space is already very limited. Unfortunately our experience of the service was very disappointing at this property. Would not revisit.

A fantastic hotel right by the East Side Gallery. The staff were so friendly and helpful, we were able to check in early which was so needed after only an hours sleep! The room was lovely and the small touches really made a difference. It was warm but I really feel the cold so the staff were able to locate another heater for me which was so useful in the -4 weather! The room was clean and well thought-out - lights and plugs by the bed and a variety of plug sockets around the room. The bathroom was stunning and the heated floors such a bonus! Couldn’t recommend more, well worth the price.

A fabulous hotel in a great location. About 40 minutes from the airport and a short walk from the Ostbahnhof Station. Situated by the East Side Gallery which is well worth a visit. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby and a short S Bahn ride into the centre of Berlin. Would highly recommend!!

Lovely view from the balcony overlooking the river. Was very relaxing hearing the church bells. The rooms were very clean and included everything we needed. It was great being so close to the east side gallery and Uber Platz as we went to watch Hans Zimmer there. Great location and thoroughly enjoyed.

Fantastisk dejligt hotel, ligger smukt ved floden. Man skal være opmærksom på, at der er et par km til U-bahn, og et pænt stykke på gåben til Alexander Platz. Fantastisk søde unge mennesker i receptionen, bestemt et sted, vi gerne kommer tilbage til.

Fantastic hotel, we got a river view room and it was fantastic. Has free laundry and a great gym upstairs. We also enjoyed having a small kitchen. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location is so-so as you need to transit to major attractions, but I would still stay here again.

- Well-designed room, good amount of space for a solo traveller - Good bathroom with a particularly excellent rainshower in terms of water termperature and pressure. - Not much service to speak of since the property does not offer daily housekeeping but staff seemed friendly enough at check-in and check-out. - Only downside here is the location which is a little far from transportation links with not much in the immediate vicinity other than tourists gawking at the East Side Gallery.

The hotel itself is very nice, the rooms with a patio have a super great view over the Spree River. Friendly staff. Location is pretty good, you can explore the Berlin Wall and walk along the river just outside the hotel. It’s also about a 10 minute walk to the train station to go other places. I would stay here again, although might also consider something a bit more central depending on what areas you want to explore.

Well positioned between Ostbahnhof railway station (for cheap airport transfers) and Uber Plaza (for live music events). Each is walkable from the hotel in 10 minutes, a massive saving on taxis… :-)

Loved being in the heart of the East Side Gallery, the ease of walking to places & closeness to public transportation. The hotel has everything you need & a 24/7 vending machine extraordinaire behind it for any extras.The rooms were like a home away from home with full kitchen. Staff were incredibly friendly & kind. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I could not fault Locke at East Side in any way. The most helpful and friendliest of staff. Fantastic facilities, communal areas, activities and area. The rooms are fully equipped and very comfy. Everything you need if you want to cook for yourself or the cafe downstairs does excellent food and drink. The design and style of the room is very relaxing and the balcony view over the river made the room complete. The area that this hotel is situated at East Side has everything there. A shopping Mall, supermarkets, clothes shops, restaurants, cafes and the Uber Arena. If you want to see any of the Berlin Wall…. It’s right there!! I loved the stay and will definitely go back.

Great location, staff was excellent, reasonably priced and just a really cool vibe. Cafe downstairs was great too, starting the morning overlooking the water with espresso isn’t a bad way to start.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage ( nahe Ostbahnhof) und an der Spree ( sollte man aber nicht überbewerten, da der Ausblick nicht so toll ist). Die Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich. Frühstück lohnt sich hier nicht zu buchen (17€ p.P.), da kann man lieber in ein schönes Café gehen, wovon es in Berlin ziemlich viele gibt. Das Zimmer ist sauber, aber auch klein. Das Bett war sehr klein mit 1,40m. Es ist alles drin was man braucht aber man sollte nicht zuviel erwarten. Für das was man geboten bekommt zahlt man schon einen hohen Preis.

The food is terrible, and pricey, but otherwise a very busy and popular spot. Despite being a smoke-free property, there was a continual stream of 2nd hand smoke coming in through the ceiling vents. Two of the nights it was so bad, we stayed elsewhere. Some of the appliances are a bit of a learning curve to use, but otherwise the kitchen supplies are basic. Water in Berlin is hard, however water pressure and temperature at this hotel are excellent. Local taxi services in Berlin are still confused as to the whereabouts of this hotel, so make sure you have the full address available if you are using cabs.

Highly recommend. Truly amazing hotel, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, sharing many tips to make the most of the time in Berlin. The food is exceptional and the view is spectacular. Bed is very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Bah), non c’è pulizia della camera (5 notti diventano lunghe senza) e gli asciugamani possono essere cambiati in autonomia al piano meno 1, ristorante/bar assolutamente non soddisfacente (personale svogliato e lentissimo)

Cannot pick up a hot cup of coffee. No ice cube tray in freezer and you have to stand on a chair to reach the freezer. A couple of refillable glass bottles in the fridge for water would be great. Separate twin duvet for each person on a queen size bed. Have not encountered this at other European cities. I would recommend.

This hotel was literally life changing for us, we were stuck in a horrible hostel and were scrambling to find an affordable last minute hotel where we weren’t being screamed at in the middle of the night, and this option came up, we were absolutely blessed! Everything was so clean, the staff is so friendly, and the room is amazing - plus, air conditioning for this intense heat wave (we are Canadians so no AC has been rough!)!! So reasonably priced, amazing location, could not recommend it more, we will be back!!

This has been my go to Berlin hotel for a number of years but after this last trip I’m not sure it will be. They used to have free washing machines, which now you need to access by paying with an app that needs to be validated with an SMS code. If you’re travelling with an eSiM this is not possible. Hotel staff did you have a solution and were not helpful or friendly. They used to have nice coffee in each room, now it’s instant. The price hasn’t gotten any cheaper but the services have declined
