Good properly located within walking distance to beach, shopping and restaurants. Everything was clean but the sheets and towels were stained. Staff is great and they always have coffee, tea, juice and some pastries. Parking can be tricky but it was safe. Definitely would recommend for a short stay. Down side was that the pool closes at 9 and the tights shut off.

L’hôtel n’a pas d’entrée, de hall, de parking. On doit se garer dans la rue mais il n’y a pas de place et c’est sale. La chambre n’a pas de fenêtre, la micro terrasse au bout du couloir du placard donne vu sur des bâtiments délabrés. Il manque des ampoules, des prises ne fonctionnent pas, pas de télécommande à la tv et pas de son. Aucune isolation phonique donc aucun calme, rue très bruyante. Personnel quasi inexistant a part un pauvre gars affalé sur sa chaise à la table de l’entrée. Fuyez car pour le prix c’est nul.

Staff at Areia are awesome! The pool has a beautiful view. The restaurant/bar and staff are awesome! We had one of the penthouse rooms and it was very nice. We enjoyed the lounge chairs on the lanai and it had a plunge pool We read previous reviews and knew the elevator wasn't working which is fine, we typically use the stairs. There was a refrigerator and safe in the room so that was very helpful. It was a bummer that the water available to all was in the lobby and there was no ice machine or ice available. Wifi worked fine. The TV had Netflix available if you logged in. There were some other free options which was nice. The breakfast was pastries which was fine (again we read prior reviews so that was helpful to know). We aren't coffee drinkers-the coffee machine in the lobby looked adequate. At night, you could hear the loud music from the restaurant/bar behind the hotel. We stayed a week and the music seemed to stop later on the weekends. The location is perfect for us-easily walkable to restaurants, bars, the beach, the grocery store-everything! We will definitely return.

While it is comfy enough. Pool is on top floor and elevator broken for many weeks. Hotel eventually allowed cancellation but didn’t refund full correct amount and has been a battle with them. Pool very cold water. No hand railing on stairs, so don’t stay if you have mobility issues because elevator seems to be broken a lot. If you booked because you need elevator and it’s not working, they don’t really seem to care much. They also blamed Expedia when Expedia says hotel is in full control of the charges, so you’ll get the runaround on any changes you make.

Dirty floors feet where black. Black mold in shower other than that staff where friendly they changed our room which was not as bad but some mold. Would not stay again, over priced. Very noisey, bands playing till 2300 everyday during our stay. Will not book with you again.

Immaculately clean little hotel in the heart of Puerto Morelos. The King Suite with spacious private terrace and outdoor bathtub was well worth the upgrade! Yes, you can hear the music from the nearby bar at night but we quite enjoyed hanging out on the rooftop and taking in the vibes. The music was finished by 11:00 pm so it didn’t interfere with our sleep. I absolutely loved that the location was very walkable, just a five minute walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants nearby, including The Portside Restaurant on the roof of the hotel. We enjoyed two delicious meals there while viewing the spectacular sunset. We will most definitely return to this beautiful little hotel.

We booked a king bed room, and it seemed smaller than a standard hotel size. There are no drawers to put your things in. If you only have a backpack or carry-on, I think you're good. The bathroom floods when you shower as there is no threshold and no door. It is just messy. The bed, though, is super comfy. The best part! The location is excellent. Breakfast/bakery in front and pizza restaurant just downstairs. Walk to everything.

We stayed in the penthouse room on 4th floor, which was really spacious and had a very large deck. Excellent location, near restaurants and a few blocks from the beach. Good coffee and potable water to fill water bottle in the lobby, though no breakfast. The rooftop pool was nice as well. Loud live music from about 9:00-11:00 nearby each night was a bit annoying but otherwise a nice stay and a great value.

Muy cómoda la habitación, bien iluminada y las camas confortables. El personal muy amable, hubo una discrepancia por el upgrade VIP, sin embargo, me ofrecieron otro beneficio compensatorio y quedamos contentos con la apertura para solucionar. Esta muy cerca del centro, de los restaurantes y la playa, por lo que la ubicación también es buena.

Stayed here 2 weeks for 7 days here and within the first 6 hours I’d fallen in love with the hotel. Breathtaking views of the ocean, luxurious interior designing, clean bedding, amazing food, and most importantly- warm and welcoming staff who were there to help with every question. The area is full of restaurants, cafes, and shops within walking distance. The rooftop view with the pool and ocean is exactly as seen in the pictures. I want to especially thank the rooftop Want to thank Ilse and the owners and staff at the Portside restaurant and bar for the hospitality, will certainly be back soon!

L’hôtel n’a pas d’entrée, de hall, de parking. On doit se garer dans la rue mais il n’y a pas de place et c’est sale. La chambre n’a pas de fenêtre, la micro terrasse au bout du couloir du placard donne vu sur des bâtiments délabrés. Il manque des ampoules, des prises ne fonctionnent pas, pas de télécommande à la tv et pas de son. Aucune isolation phonique donc aucun calme, rue très bruyante. Personnel quasi inexistant a part un pauvre gars affalé sur sa chaise à la table de l’entrée. Fuyez car pour le prix c’est nul.

Staff at Areia are awesome! The pool has a beautiful view. The restaurant/bar and staff are awesome! We had one of the penthouse rooms and it was very nice. We enjoyed the lounge chairs on the lanai and it had a plunge pool We read previous reviews and knew the elevator wasn't working which is fine, we typically use the stairs. There was a refrigerator and safe in the room so that was very helpful. It was a bummer that the water available to all was in the lobby and there was no ice machine or ice available. Wifi worked fine. The TV had Netflix available if you logged in. There were some other free options which was nice. The breakfast was pastries which was fine (again we read prior reviews so that was helpful to know). We aren't coffee drinkers-the coffee machine in the lobby looked adequate. At night, you could hear the loud music from the restaurant/bar behind the hotel. We stayed a week and the music seemed to stop later on the weekends. The location is perfect for us-easily walkable to restaurants, bars, the beach, the grocery store-everything! We will definitely return.

While it is comfy enough. Pool is on top floor and elevator broken for many weeks. Hotel eventually allowed cancellation but didn’t refund full correct amount and has been a battle with them. Pool very cold water. No hand railing on stairs, so don’t stay if you have mobility issues because elevator seems to be broken a lot. If you booked because you need elevator and it’s not working, they don’t really seem to care much. They also blamed Expedia when Expedia says hotel is in full control of the charges, so you’ll get the runaround on any changes you make.

Immaculately clean little hotel in the heart of Puerto Morelos. The King Suite with spacious private terrace and outdoor bathtub was well worth the upgrade! Yes, you can hear the music from the nearby bar at night but we quite enjoyed hanging out on the rooftop and taking in the vibes. The music was finished by 11:00 pm so it didn’t interfere with our sleep. I absolutely loved that the location was very walkable, just a five minute walk to the beach and many wonderful restaurants nearby, including The Portside Restaurant on the roof of the hotel. We enjoyed two delicious meals there while viewing the spectacular sunset. We will most definitely return to this beautiful little hotel.

Good properly located within walking distance to beach, shopping and restaurants. Everything was clean but the sheets and towels were stained. Staff is great and they always have coffee, tea, juice and some pastries. Parking can be tricky but it was safe. Definitely would recommend for a short stay. Down side was that the pool closes at 9 and the tights shut off.

We stayed in the penthouse room on 4th floor, which was really spacious and had a very large deck. Excellent location, near restaurants and a few blocks from the beach. Good coffee and potable water to fill water bottle in the lobby, though no breakfast. The rooftop pool was nice as well. Loud live music from about 9:00-11:00 nearby each night was a bit annoying but otherwise a nice stay and a great value.

Cons No ice on property. You have to walk to a convenience store to buy some and there is no way to store it once you get back to room. ELEVATORS DO NOT WORK AND THERE IS NO ONE TO ASSIST WITH BAGS. THE STAIRWELL IS NOT AIR-CONDITIONED AND IT IS EXHAUSTING CARRYING YOUR BAGS UP FOUR FLOORS……70+ steps. Per reviews, they have been down since at least March.

Over all for the price the hotel was fine. There could be some simple improvements made. Don’t count on the fridges. We rented several rooms and none of them were very cold. One room has a clogged shower and the water didn’t drain. They gave us a new room. Also in the bathroom I could see what looked like black mold. Beds were clean and comfy and the pool was nice. Great staff. Nice location.
