Henn na Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

This is my second time staying at this hotel. I love the location of this hotel, because it’s only steps away from the main shopping strip but it’s way less busy and more quiet. However, compared to last year, I found the hotel is not as clean as it was last time, there’s some obvious wear and tear, with some stains on the wall. There’s also a bad plumbing smell in the basement laundry area. Other than that, my kids loved the human-less front desk and the robot that delivery extra towel to us everyday. The breakfast was good with good variety and friendly staff.

初心者の方に得におすすめしたいホテルです。今回初めての韓国旅行で一人旅で、土地勘もなく韓国語もわからない状態でした。そのため、どこへ行くにもアクセスの良い明洞エリアで、駅からも近く、安心できる日系ホテルという基準でこちらのホテルを選びました。結果、大正解でした！駅から2、3分で迷わずたどり着けましたし、チェックインの画面も日本語を選択できて簡単でした。お部屋の清潔さも日本のビジネスホテルと変わらず、タオルや湯沸かしポットも奇麗でした。備え付けの大画面のスクリーンではYouTubeも見られました。タオルやゴミ袋などのアメニティーの追加はタブレットで行い、ロボットが運んできてくれました（扉を2回ノックする音がまるで人間のようでびっくりしました）。 また、スタッフの方は日本語が堪能でした。お伺いしたい事がありフロントへ電話した際、最初韓国語で応答いただきましたが「Japanese please」と伝えたところ、すぐに日本語に切り替えていただけました。また、日本流の気遣いやおもてなしの精神も行き届いており、11時のチェックアウト後に荷物を預かっていただく際に丁寧にご対応いただけました（荷物は当日中であればお預かり可能とのことでした。セキュリティー付きの部屋に保管いただけます） 気になったのは、浴室の排水が詰まりやすかったこととスリッパが薄かったことくらいです（シャワーを途中で止めながら浴びれば問題なく流れます。またスリッパは日本から持参しておりました）。それ以外は特に気になることはなかったですので、自信をもってお勧めいたします。

スタッフ不在でロボットがおり、必要なアメニティもロボットが部屋まで持ってきてくれます。 部屋にいるジーニーというタブレットも日本語でしゃべってくれるので、海外の言語による意思疎通の困難や依頼の難しさなどは一切ありません。部屋はコンパクトですが清潔が保たれており快適でした！

明洞屋台から徒歩数分、明洞駅10番出口から徒歩2分という好立地でWowpassチャージ機もあり、清潔感もあってとても良かったです。 B1階は下水臭がしてきつかったですがそれ以外はよかったです。

地下にコインランドリーが有るのですが下水の匂いなのか？耐え難い匂いでした。

①チェックイン前後でもスーツケースを預かってくれる。 ②チェックインアウトが早い。 ③バストイレ別がとっても快適。 ④駅から近い。 以上が良かった点です。

There is no staff. Only robots checking you in and out. If you need something for your room, a robot will bring it.

The hotel is perfectly located close to tourist attractions and the reception area is unique with robots and dinasours. Free wifi and daily water is great.

トリプルのお部屋に宿泊しました。ツインのお部屋にエキストラベッドを入れてあり手狭感はありましたが、小学低学年の子供がベッドから落ちる心配がなかったので、うちの家族には良かったです。トイレバスが別なところ、トイレットペーパーが流せるところも良かったです。地下一階に電子レンジ、製氷機、コインランドリー２機がありました。帰国して洗濯しなくていいように利用しましたが、下が洗濯機で上が乾燥機で、使い方の番号が書いてあるし洗剤（液体じゃないとダメ）の自販機があり便利でした。また機会があれば宿泊したいと思います。

Size of the room was a little small. Cleanliness of the room was great, and staff were also great and always happy to help.

清潔感があり安心して泊まれるホテルでした。

浴槽に前の人の髪の毛があったり、棚に埃が溜まっていたりと掃除が行き届いていないような気がした。

Hotel building and the lobby were new and neat, but it was pretty clear from the first sight that the room itself was not cleaned properly. We found brown stains on the toilet seat and dust and dirt on the counters. It looked like that only the necessary things with the cleaning were taken care of and the room was made to look tidy even though it was not actually cleaned. We also found lots of dark red hair from the bathroom, toilet and even inside the pillow cover. We called the hotel staff in the morning asking for a new pillow and when we came back to the hotel in the evening, beds were made but the pillow was not changed since the hair was still there. The pillow had only been turned over. After we called the staff again, they provided us with a fresh and clean pillow right away though. The sheets and morning gowns also had weird stains on them. When we looked at the other reviews, turned out we haven't been the only ones discovering issues with the tidiness of the room which is a shame since it would be a very nice hotel if this was taken into account better.

清掃も行き届いていたし、快適でした。狭さは事前の口コミでわかっていたので、なんとも思いませんでした。水圧も2階だったからか全く問題なかったです。また利用したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

The location and soundproofing was good. There were some slight issues with cleanliness as we found old contact lenses on the carpet which was a bit gross. Also we did try to get extra pillows but was told there were none available as the hotel was full.

Our first time to Seoul and this hotel is in a great location- convenient to Myeongdong subway station, the night market and loads of shops and eateries. The room was small by American standards but met our needs (mom and adult daughter trip). The room and hotel were clean and we had zero issues with our stay. We paid the extra for the mountain view and loved looking out at Seoul Tower.

清潔なホテルでとても良かったです。

部屋の掃除が驚くほど適当で、不潔な部屋で寝なければいけないストレスで不快なステイだった。 他の人の口コミどおりあるはずのない髪の毛がわんさか散乱していて、床は食べこぼしが目立ち、カップには明らかに汚れが付着していて、ベッドのシーツは一度使ったかのような汚れ感があり、衛生面で非常に不安を感じるホテルだった。

2ベッドのルームを2人で2泊3日利用しました。清潔感もあり、温水洗浄便座付きのトイレで過ごしやすかったです。朝食もシンプルで腹を満たすには最適でした。総合的にすごく良かったです。唯一の欠点としては2人で利用するには狭すぎると思います。スーツケースを広げるには少し苦労します。

特になんの問題もないです 駅近　すぐ明洞　キレイ 風呂トイレ洗面すべてわかれてます 2人で泊まりましたが広くはないけど狭くない スーツケースも広げれますよ ぜひまた利用します。

The room is too small that we don’t know where to put our luggage’s. That’s better if you travel alone. Our bed is comfortable but too small.and they only have 2 pillow available and we’re 3 people staying in that room.

1) Sound insulation is great. Very quiet even when next to the elevator 2) Hotel staff is friendly, accommodating and professional 3) Rooms are cleaned and daily cleaning service is great 4) It is so near the Myeongdong shopping area and the train station, as well as the airport bus terminal (great location to be in)

Check in was complicated as there are 2 robots at reception (and no staff) and neither robot would accept our hotels.com booking number. We had to call someone to assist us (who was not happy at all). Room was ok. Only one pillow each and it was very thin (I had to put a folded towel underneath for some support). Stayed in winter and the room was very hot as the AC temp cannot be turned down. Thankfully we were able to turn the AC off and open a window. Could not temporarily store our luggage when checking out so we had to go to the airport early. I will stay in a different hotel in Seoul next time.

明洞駅10番出口から出て2〜 3分の所にあり、 明洞のショッピングもお庭感覚で行けました笑。 お風呂の浴槽があるので、歩き回った疲れを取るのに最高でした。 お部屋は、スーツケースをゆっくり床で広げる広さは無いですが、それなりに落ち着くお部屋で清潔感もありました。 次回も利用したいと思います！

Room is rather small, pillows are terrible and only 2 available for our queen bed. Tried asking for more but the staff responded that there was "no stock" with slight language barrier to explain when the stock will be available. Had stiff necks after 6 nights.. otherwise hotel amenities are rather new with a cosy tub.

Convenient location, close to transportation, shopping, and many attractions. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast had good selection and hot dishes varied daily.

チェックインもチェックアウトもスムーズにできました。日本語の案内もあるので安心でした。明洞駅から近く、移動も便利でした。空港行きバス停もすごく近かったです。

The staff at the reception were very unfriendly, unwilling to assist guests, I arrived around mid-day and they said check in time 3pm coz my room not available, however I can check in by 1pm and pay additional almost half the rate of one night or I can check in midday for extra one night, apparently this hotel wish to squeeze my pocket for extra money with no morals, I never face such situation in the past, if room is available I’ll be able to check in even in the morning, but asking for more money is terribly bad!! I won’t recommend this hotel to others. Just to be fair after my travel agent Global Business Class spoke to them they agreed to let me check in at 1pm at no additional fee, it was nightmare after flying 13 hours to wait and waste time coz the greedy hotel!!

初めての韓国旅行で、清潔なホテルで、立地も便利で楽しめました。何より安心感もありました。フロントは無人ですが、日本語の通じるスタッフに電話することもできます。チェックアウト後も荷物を預かってもらって最後まで旅行を楽しめました。次に韓国へ行くときも必ずここに泊まります！

We were in a really good location for shopping and the night market was right up the street. It was a short walk to the bus lines that got us around the city to see everything we wanted to see. It was a quiet and clean hotel. The robot part of the hotel was very cool and one friends and family have loved the shots we took from inside the hotel and the surrounding area. The highlight though was the helpful and courteous staff. We had a couple of issues with our schedule, my fault not theirs, and they went above and beyond to help us through them. I really appreciated how nice everyone was and how much they helped. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Seoul.

ロボット施設とありますが、受付に電話がおいてあり、日本語、英語、と全てに対応してくれます。 先日、帰りの仁川空港行きのバスについて聞いたところ、バスの停留所や時刻表をプリントして説明してくれました。ありがたかったです。

The hotel is situated in an excellent location. There are a number of shops and market style carts during the evening along the streets near the hotel. Transport including subways are excellent for those venturing out to outer suburbs. The hotel great location compensates for the size of the rooms.

An affordable and aesthetic hotel in a convenient location! It was located right at the end of the shopping street within walking distance of many major attractions in Seoul making it an ideal spot for anyone wanting to walk around the city.

Family of two stayed here for a bulk of our trip and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Myeongdong train station is about a four minute walk, Myeongdong shopping street is the same. I think it’s important to note it’s all on the same side of the street too, like you don’t have to cross the street to get to anything, when you visit Korea, you’ll realize sometimes crossing the street is confusing or you’ll have to do an underground walkway, which turned us around a few times, so everything being all together was so convenient. There’s also a 7-11 directly across the way so if you wake up hungry in the middle of the night it’s literally right there. There’s a lot of cafes, restaurants, and shopping right near the hotel. One restaurant is steps away as well and they were open as late as 11:00 so that’s nice. The hotel is also very clean and I liked that we could control the AC. The laundry facility, ice machine, and microwave are all on the basement floor which is convenient. A lot is automated but staff is available to assist if needed. You can also leave your luggage if you arrive early and can’t check-in yet, but also they do let you check-in early, there’s just a small fee by the hour, I think it was only like $12, which we ended up doing because we tried walking around until check-in but we were exhausted! Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Seoul.

Although Myeongdong is quite a busy area, there was no noise coming into the room, so sleeping was quite good. The hotel has a minimum staff on site and the check-in and -out are made via some machines, which couldn’t read my (German) passport. Anyway, friendly personnel were available on request to help with that. Breakfast was booked altogether and was ok, heavily directed to the asian taste. It’s definitely a very good option for those who plan to spend a long time in the shopping area around, but also for those who look for a good base for visiting Seoul via public transportation, as it is located less than 5 minutes from the metro station, and with several bus lines stopping close by.

Henna Hotel is well located for firet time tourist! Myeongdong can be crowded and lively at night but Henna is located on the far end of the area so its quiet at night

We loved it. Very easy to check in, clean, comfortable, great location and the breakfast was yummy.

Das „Good morning“ der Dame beim Frühstücksbuffet werde ich vermissen. Ein perfekter Start in den Tag so begrüsst zu werden. Das Buffet hatte alles für ein ordentliches Frühstück.

I think most people book this hotel due to the reception. Yes, it's funny with the robots and the dinosaurs. Just be aware that you do not communicate with the robots, but just use a check-in counter. The rooms are clean and fine, but very "IKEA basic". We didn't expect more; what you see at Hotels.com, is what you get. There was a coffee maker and a fridge. The location is great. Breakfast is okay. We enjoyed our stay and were satisfied. But if you are just there to sleep, and you are on a budget, you might find cheaper solutions just next to this hotel.

THE BREAKFAST WAS POOR

Great location, walking distance to night market and many tasty eating choices. Clean room and good breakfast buffet. Only recommend is shower curtain. Floor outside of shower/tub gets wet and could slip if not careful.

We’ve been to Henna three times now, we always chose this hotel due to its cleanliness and location of the hotel. The facilities are very up to date and is super nice to be in. Staff are very nice, the people that sort the breakfast out are very friendly and easy to talk to as well, staff in general are nice as well. Breakfast from what I saw on reviews said that it lacked variety but when we were there it had lots of options and it changes everyday! One thing I will say are that rooms are very small, we got the Hollywood room and for the price you’d expect it to be spacious but unfortunately it was not, we struggled moving around our room due to our luggage and also because the bed was MASSIVE I feel like you need to change the size of the bed for the Hollywood room or change the size of the whole room itself.
