Hotel Real Alma

El estacionamiento esta en otro lugar, no esta lejos pero es muy incomodo estar pidiendo ala recepcion del hotel, que te habran la puerta cada que vas a llegar o salir.

La experiencia en general fué desagradable desde el principio, ya que escogimos específicamente este hotel por que decía que contaba con estacionamiento. NO TIENE ESTACIONAMIENTO y está ubicado en una zona complicadísima llena de puestos, tiene un espacio exclusivo donde puedes dejar tu carro afuera con el peligro de rayones o golpes ya que está entre puestos de mercado. Tienen un convenio con un estacionamiento a una cuadra que cierra súper temprano y abre tarde, puedes pedirle a un tipo nefasto que está en mostrador en la noche que te abra y se molesta como si lo estuvieras molestando, como si te estuviera haciendo un favor cuando ellos mismos te ofrecen ese “servicio” y se supone que es parte de su trabajo. Lo mismo para salir o llegar por la noche, cierra la puerta del hotel y tocas para que te abra con una jeta que te da pena. En pocas palabras te sientes como en casa de asistencia y no cómodo en un hotel. Por el contrario las chicas de cocina que atienden por las mañanas en la terraza súper amables. Lástima que los que son la cara inmediata del hotel, los de mostrador no sepan que su trabajo es de atención al cliente. Deberían cambiar a su personal de mostrador, tanto las chicas como el señor de noche y poner una cara amable que ayude y amortigüe las deficiencias del hotel (estacionamiento-elevador). Mencionó también que esta lejos de las zonas bonitas de plazas y restaurantes.

It was at the lower end of price, but certainly adequate for a short stay. A bit noisy on the street side, but quiet enough when the balcony door is closed. Bed was comfortable, room clean, bathroom good. No elevator, so if you don’t do stairs, go elsewhere, especially when breakfast is on the top floor. Breakfast is ok….coffee a bit weak, fruit good, but got a tad boring after 5 days. Service was great….front desk and breakfast staff. Great location….walkable to everything in the city.

Hotel is in great location. Walking distance to pretty much all of downtown. Parking was free and right across street. Only issue is was that rhey charged me $220 pesos to give me room 1hr early. Our flight was changed and we arrive early morning 630am. We went straight to hotel to leave our luggage and to see if possibly can do early check in they said to come back at 12pm once people start checking out. We did and I would see cleaning crew finishing room after room and I kept asking if they had a room available for early check in as we were exhausted lady kept telling me no until I told her i was willing to pay as we hadnt slept in 24hrs. She changed her answer and said yes if i would pay they would give me a room now. This has never happened before we travel often and every hotel has always given us room early if available never tried to charged us. Not even 1 hr early where they willing to give us room they made us pay

The hotel is surrounded by street vendors and locals during daytime, 1 block from big market. No elevator , and loud noise at night time (our first night there) due to construcción in front of street. Pros are, just 4 blocks from the zocalo, and the nicest part of town. The hotel itself is clean, simple, has a nice rooftop terrace where breakfast is served, and at night it has a gorgeous view of the city, and it’s personnel are so very kind and helpful.

El personal es muy amable, la propiedad esta en muy buenas condiciones , las habitaciones cuentas con caja de seguridad lo cual es muy coveniente, aire acondicionado, y ademas te incluye el desayuno en la terraza con una vista a la ciudad..muy buen hotel.

The restaurant and front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. We loved the rooftop terrace to hangout in the evening. The location is vibrant and central. Easy walking distance to zocalo and several mercados. It doesn’t have an elevator, which was fine for us, but may be a concern for others.

Wish it had a swimming pool, loungers on the terrace.

Llegue despues de las 11 de la noche me recibieron lerfecto y me abrieron el estacionamiento, tambien me ayudaron con las maleras ya que no tiene elevador

Included secured parking and a delicious buffet breakfast on the beautiful terrace. They do not have an elevator, so prepare to climb 3 flights of stairs where the dining area is located. Great stay and service!

Good location, near the city center. Room/hotel was clean. The bed was very uncomfortable. Issues with getting hot water in the bathroom. Had only one shower with hot water.

El personal muy amable la habitacion muy limpia

El hotel no es nada como muestran las fotos, es un hotel que tiene las sabanas y tollas muy percudidas un ruido tremendo tanto en la calle como en el lobby , la comida muy escasa y muy limitada no ponen comida para tipo buffet se vacean las charolas de comida y no quieren poner mas por si acaso no alcanzaste , no tienen buena ventilacion y tienen un olor feo y con mucho mojo en el baño, no lo recomiendo

No hay mucha variedad en la comida. Y un día no realizaron el aseo de mi habitación. No surtieron el baño de jabón, cambio de toallas entre otras cosas.

Me gustó la habitación pero el baño olía siempre muy mal

Friendly service, clean room, good price. Location okay - easy walk to major attractions. Some of the amenities run down (ex. Towels with hole) but overall good stay for the price

Lo céntrico del hotel es lo mejor. Adicional la Limpieza excelente. Desayuno buffet incluido estaba rico. Solo hubo un detalle con el agua, un día de los 5 que nos quedamos se nos fue el agua.

Room was clean but the shower had mold other than that it was good.

Hotel is very central to everything. My room was very clean, comfortable and the staff was very accommodating.

Engaging staff. Very clean. Beautiful rooftop patio. But, lots of street vehicle noise and one front desk staffer that tried to charge me for a dirty towel. He also arranged a taxi that I think he profited from.

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, pero cómodas, muy limpias y la cama y almohadas muy cómodas para dormir, el desayuno buffet q ofrecen muy bueno y cada día es variable!!

Das Zimmer war ok, jedoch zu wenig Ablagefläche. Das Personal war super freundlich, jedoch hätten etwas mehr Infos betreffend mögliche Ausflüge geben können. Für ältere Personen fehlt ein Lift.

El desayuno fue lo que en conjunto con el personal ayudan demasiado al hotel. La habitación se siente muy pequeña además de que el balcón es vista a una calle sin mucho que apreciar.

En términos generales puedo decir que el Hotel es funcional sin embargo como me dieron una habitación del primer piso todo los ruidos de la calle y del propio Hotel se oyen a toda hora.

Staff was helpful and friendly. They helped with tours that picked/dropped us up from the hotel. Our room was on the ground floor near the lobby #2 and it was a bit noisy in the early mornings. Overall the hotel was great. Pros: walking distance to el zocalo, restaurants, bars and the mercados. Cons: hotel located in the side of town that begins the "questionable" side of town (never felt unsafe), not until my last night did i realize that 3 blocks away from the hotel is the "red light" (ladies of the night) zone. I walked from the zocalo to my hotel around 1am and never felt unsafe. Overall it was a good stay.

The standard room is very small, so our luggage barley fit in. We stayed there for a week and they didn’t have enough closet space for our coats, pants etc… no drawers. The hotel area is not that safe, too noisy. The staff is super friendly, go out of their way to help you. If you need a taxi they call one for you, laundry service is super cheap. The price of the hotel is high for what it is.

Great hotel walking distance to all spots. It’s in more of a locals commercial area with local shopping and street food. About 10-15 min walk to Zocala square. Free parking in a private lot 2 min walk. We got a queen balcony city view room for 2 nights. Breakfast 8/10. All great except there was no hot water for two days!

Staff was wonderful! From the reception, cleaning staff and the cafe. However, we would have appreciated some drawers for our clothes, a small refrigerator or an ice bucket at least and we had issues with the hot water and we had to recharge the key card every other day.

AC didn’t work and room is real small.

Me encato en lugar todos fueron super amables desde el muchachito joven que me atendio cuando llege asta el senor que nos cuido los sueños en la noche . Lo recomendaria a mis amogos . Gracias por todo

Front desk staff was great- didn’t get young ladies name- Nash?? She helped a lot with recommendations and transportation. Hotel was pretty clean. Love the Rain shower.

Short Walking distance from Benito Juárez and 20 de noviembre markets. Great service, specially Gabriel. They helped me to get taxis, tours and give ideas about what places to visit and how to get there.

Despite being in a busy part of the city, the room was very quiet (soundproofing). We were on the 4th floor and there is no elevator but that did not affect us. The morning complimentary breakfast is OK. The service and front desk help was amazing. We could flush the toilet paper! Fantastic location close to the mercados but a bit annoying with all the maneuvering around the street vendors.

Great and clean hotel. The area is not the greatest but it’s a short walk to the centre.

Zero common sense to treat guests for an early check in . Very dirty, crowded and potential dangerous area of the city. Terrible location.

Todo muy bien, muy limpia , muy buena atención del personal, todo cercas zócalo etc , solo un poco cercas del mercado abasto, nos dijeron ya no caminar más abajo por seguridad Fuera de eso bien

La propiedad está súper bonita, incluye desayuno. El personal amable. Esta cerca del centro , pero no es muy seguro andar de noche cerca de ahí. Es por lo único que pensaría en volver a hospedarme ahí.

Hotel Real Alma is just 5-6 blocks to the center of Oaxaca that offers great shopping and a wide selection of restaurants. There's also a number of local street food sites nearby. This is a great choice if you want to be in the heart of the city.

Gabriel es un excelente anfitrión, servicial y siempre más que dispuesto a ayudar. El compañero de la cafetería y la Sra que mesera y lava platos muy atentos también. Las instalaciones muy limpias y cómodas, hay que tomar en cuenta que es un edificio ya con sus años pero el valor por el precio es excelente. El desayuno es sencillo y justo pero variado para afrontar lo que el día presente.

Great location just a 10 minute walk to the Zocolo, a couple of blocks from Benito Juarez and 20 de Noviembre markets. Great freshly made breakfast daily, very tasty. Staff are all outstanding—incredibly friendly and helpful.

Everything great, great breakfast

Reasonably clean and near the center of the commercial district with markets nearby, and the town Square and a few museums, but really only deserving. It’s two star rating. Small, basic breakfast to start the day, very weak coffee, but nice friendly staff. Our rooms faced a very loud commercial strip, which wasn’t a problem until they decided to refill their water tanks at midnight on a Saturday night. Almost 2 hours with a very loud diesel pump that had to be 70 or 80 dB for what I’ve been sleep. The front desk kept saying five more minutes until the truck left after 1 AM. Lots of other choices. I would not recommend this.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the breakfast on the top floor. Because it is conveniently located to a lot of restaurants and stores, it does get pretty busy in the morning and can get noisy. Just be ready to start your day early and you'll be just fine.
