The girl who helped on check in, was very friendly. There was an issue with our remote, she resolved quickly. The continental breakfast was very underwhelming. The common areas of the hotel are a little run down and dirty, and stairways were hot. The pool area has like 5 chairs. No elevator so if you have a lot of luggage get a 1st floor room. The luggage cart has flat tires. Ice machine on 2nd floor does not work. And there appears to be possibly a homeless camp or hangout at the lake behind the hotel and there were some rather sketchy looking people. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

Pool was conveniently clised, but looked 100% fine. Also, "continental " breakfast was a complete joke...getting coffee was an act of Congress. Dont advertise and not have what you say you do have. Rooms were clean and stocked

Pool and guest laundry were out of service. Entry to room smelled like damp cigarette smoke, the bathroom floor had water accumulating from the tub and condensation dripping from the exhaust vent, and the room ceiling looked like there were mold issues.

Do not stay here!!! There are chunks of ceiling drywall in the pool, I found a dirty towel in my room in the closet, there is no elevator, there are creepy stains in the carpet, and worst of all if you try to get a refund, they will not work with you.

Came to the area for a church event, first room was disgusting, smelled bad and giant pee stain on mattress amongst whatever else was on there. Talked to the lady about switching rooms and she got an attitude and said the room was clean. I told her I wanted a different room. She stated they were booked but she guesses she could give us a different room. Which meant someone else had that room. DISGUSTING!!! Food was cold and stale like it sat out all night. Will not be back.

The carpet was so dirty our white sox were so dirty from walking on the floor. The pool needed to be vacccumed. There were little dirt particles along the edges. The furniture in the pool area was dirty and coated in dust. There was a ceiling tile missing and under it sat a bucket of a vile looking substance. Looked like vomit.

Do NOT book. Dirty Rooms, dirty carpet in hallway, no housekeeping. I was told by front desk i could only have clean linen after 3 days of stay. I booked from Friday to Monday. Never seen housekeeping. Rats running out front in parking lot. Trash running over out front of building. Dirty windows in lobby, its very hard to understand the staff when they speak. No toilet paper in room or even soap. I could go on and on. The pool was dirty. The hallways smell damp and molded. Water leak in hallway. Trash can catching water. Someone vomited in lobby bathroom in sink. Looked and smells like it had been there for days. Sheets and towels are dingy. Please do not waste your time or money. Save yourself the frustration and go next door to Holiday Inn Express. You will thank me later.

The shower was even with the bathroom floor so when you took a shower, the water came out onto the floor. This is an accident waiting to happen! I slipped & fell, luckily everything ok, but this is a hazard! There was NO soap in the bathroom so we had to use shampoo instead. Everything seemed dingy & dirty. The desk help had accents you could barely understand. Unfortunately, we won’t be using this particular Microtel again. We were VERY disappointed! We were looking forward to having this hotel for our ’go to’ when we visit our family numerous times a year.

From the moment you step in the hallway, this place is clearly not sanitary. It reeks of sewage and mold. I wiped down our room with several Lysol disinfectant wipes, of course the wipes showed tons of dirt. The lighting in the rooms is dull and limited. I tried to use the microwave and after a few seconds it tripped the breaker and turned off all the electric to the room. Our room had no soap and only one wash cloth for a double queen bed room. The breakfast looked like a few stale pieces of bread and old cereal. Do yourself a favor and stay at the Holiday Inn Express next door. This place is a big fat dirty NO.

The stay was ok because of last minute to get a real hotel was impossible. When we walked in cleanliness was terrible. Blood on the wall in the bathroom, smelly waters, dusty room, hand residue prints on mirror very visible and crumbs on the floor from previous guest. Service from a older woman helped but it should have been done before we stayed.

It was a bit of a rough stay for a single night here. The rooms are not very soundproof, and I could hear people on both sides of my room well into 2am very clearly. When checking in around 11pm, there was no warm water in the shower; at 8am, there was still no warm water in the shower. The air conditioning/heater unit was also set to cold although it was never above 35 degrees all day. The facility itself was decent (beds, parking, quick access to I-71), but it definitely wasn't the most comfortable stay with the extras outlined above.

The tv in our room needs replaced. The color on the screen was a gray color the whole time. I even went to change the color and brightness on the tv but it stand the same color. The ac/heat needs to be changed out also or fixed. The knob on the ac/heat was broken off so you couldn’t change the temperature unless you had something to clap down on it to be able to change the temp. It smelt like pot all the the hallways also.

Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Looked like they were recently renovated. Our room was really humid for some reason though. I had to request new towels on day 2 of our stay (no one had cleaned our room) and had to take the dirty ones to the front desk before they would give us fresh ones. It’s a good place to stay if you just need a place overnight on a roadtrip.

The staff are very committed to providing excellent service. The room was puzzlingly absent of lighting, in a way I’ve never experienced anywhere else: no overhead lights at all except for one over the doorway entry, and one small bedside light. Darkest room I’ve ever had: please add at least some light over the desk, plus a lamp or two!

Parking was easy. Location very accessible to everything. The issue i have with this location is the key cards stop working after the first or second use and it was pretty inconvenient to have no one at the desk for 3 hrs between midnight and 3 am when i was locked out because both key cards would not work. I had to call the number at the front desk and the first time no one answered. I repeatedly called until i evidently woke someone. They helped redo the key cards. But very inconvenient.

Honestly, check in was horrible. The owner cancelled our reservation, among others as well, without telling us. Of course with it being a holiday weekend there was nothing available. Thanks to the most wonderful front desk clerk, Alesia, who called around everywhere looking for a room, we didn't have to sleep in our vehicle! Alesia was the only professional thing in this transaction, not the same can be said for the owners.

Several issues when i am locked out of my own room because the key cards dont work more than once or twice before they need reset. It was 12am when i went to get a new one. No one at the desk. Note saying will return. Helping a guest. I waited. Then i went out of hotel to eat. Came back at 3am still no one attending the lobby but the door open for just anyone to walk in. I ended up calling the number and no answer. Called again. Woke someone up i guess and they said they would be right out. No real apology just scanned the key cards and i mentioned no one being there for 3 hours he was like (i see)

This hotel had a sign out under new management. Not sure if the last management made the hotel go down and they are working to get it better . First the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful but they couldn’t get the payment I made to Expedia to cross over to show the room was paid . Then we go to our room and it smelled like smoke - they gave me a bottle of odor ban to spray . Then our room key would work for a little while then stop working . This happen several times. The self in the shower was broke of the wall and just hanging there . Also the sheets had stains on them like they had gotten to hot in the dryer. Breakfast was very very sparse. If in this area again will have to look for another hotel .

At first I did not have a remote for the TV. IMMEDIATELY upon telling the desk clerk he didn't just send me back to my room with a remote, he actually came with several and tried them until he had the one working exactly as needed. That is customer service!

We cancelled our reservation the night we were supposed to arrive due to a family emergency and we had to turn around and go back home. The cancellation policy said ‘at MOST’ we would be charge one night! The next day, I was charged the full amount! I disputed it with my bank, they refunded my money AND then 2 days later the hotel charged me the full amount AGAIN!! Unacceptable and I will never stay here.

I usually stay near OWU. So glad I decided to stay at "Microtel." The staff was so nice. Small and personal place, close to shopping and fast food (walking distance). If you want more shopping and dining about 10 drive. Perfect location. Loved it!!!

OK stay. However, this was the poorest excuse for a continental breakfast I have ever encountered. No food provided except bagels and a few tiny muffins. Packaged oatmeal also available, but "hot water" in pot was NOT hot, and no microwave was available, so my bowl had to be thrown out. How hard would it be to at least offer some bread for toast or some dry cereal options?
