Tru by Hilton Pflugerville, TX

The room was clean when we arrived, but it was difficult getting it cleaned while we were there, we had to ask several times for clean towels, and for the room to be serviced. I really liked that there was cold, flavored water available all the time at the front desk. The breakfast options were also good. Check in and out was easy, parking convenient.

I want to start out saying that we have stayed at this hotel every year for the last 4 years and this stay this time was not the best. we rented 2 rooms. First of all the lady at the front desk needed an attitude check, she really did not have good customer service skills as she was speaking to my son like she was his friend from the street not as a professional, which was not appropriate to me. He ask the lady if they had any other pool sticks for the pool table as the 2 that was there was broken she had a rude answer for him, saying that if peoples kids wouldn't break them then they would have pool sticks to use for the pool table, (not ok answer). If the hotel is going to have a pool table in the lobby for guest to use then it should be maintained as well as anything else in the hotel. Next we stayed 2 days so after the first day we were not left any clean towels by housekeeping (even though they took the dirty ones that morning), also my sons room had a bad water leak in the bathroom sink, bathroom fan did not work, shower door did not close all the way so water was all over the floor when showering. Breakfast was just ok because there was not a lot of variety for an adult.(Breakfast in the past years has been a lot better). Bottom line is this hotel seems to not keep up with their building/room maintenance. Next year we will look for a different hotel to stay until TRU gets their maintenance/rooms up to par.

Great value for the many amenities! Good location, too. Only 2.5 miles from the quant Main St. in Pflugerville. Located directly behind a Super Target and large retail strip. Our handicapped accessible room was spacious and thoughtful in its design. The lobby was hospitable with many seating options, coffee, tea, etc. The free breakfast was offerings were generous and goid, too. Would definitely choose Hilton’s TRU properties again.

The environment around this hotel is very modern and seems to be a safe area. The hotel is nice and comfortable and has a very welcoming feel. The staff are great and the breakfast was excellent. Many different choices and lots of extras. Only complaint was the pool was closed for maintenance which seems to happen to me a lot. That may be the new McDonald’s ice cream machine scandal lol.

This may be one of my top 3 fav hotels…and I stay in a lot of hotels for business! The gym is out of this world, love the little snack area in the lobby, and they always have fruit infused water available. The breakfast is great but on the weekends it’s crazy awesome with everything you could ever want! The customer service is excellent, beds are comfy and my pool game has gotten a lot better bc of the pool table in the common area! lol! Excellent hotel!!!

Nice clean hotel. The whole staff was friendly. Wish the pool water was warmer, but overall great experience and will stay there again when visiting.

I appreciated free parking. The staff was super helpful in helping me navigate food sensitivities. And the front desk staff was friendly, expedient, and helpful. It was clean, comfortable and I love the bath products available. Will return

A really nice hotel with an amazing pet friendly attitude. When I walked in with my 120 pound Great Pyrenees they just smiled and said "Welcome to Tru". Will definitely stay at Tru in the future

Lots of parking and quiet and safe

Everything about the stay was great. Very clean and organized. Customer service was on point. Much was accessible at your fingertips. Home away from home. Great area to access stores. Quiet exterior/interior atmosphere. Clean air quality. Spotted some mold near the ceiling. Communicated with the front Desk. Decided to stay in the same room due to only staying 2 nights. Not a huge deal.

Hotel was nice, clean , quiet and had good complimentary breakfast. Host were nice and make you feel welcome. The only issue I had was that the bed sheets smell like they needed to be cleaned and pillows were to flat.other than that there were no issues with my stay. I highly recommend this hotel.

Really like the TRU brand and enjoy staying at their hotels every chance I can. Very nice room Some cleanliness issue in sink and shower. TV reception was poor and having issues on most channels throughout the evening.

Everything was clean, fresh, tidy, and modern. Looked new.

There was a live roach in the bathroom sink, and the pet hair could be cleaned a bit better. Maybe some sort of air purifier used while cleaning. Staff is friendly. Location is amazing.

The room smelled kind of weird. The shower door didn’t seem to close. However that may be by design because there was no latch or anything to hold the door close so I won’t fault the property for that. The last thing is that we were told that the staff would come in make the beds and replace the towels daily but that didn’t happen. But other than those couple things it was great. Breakfast was very good and we got extra towels within 10 minutes of the request. Will definitely stay here again next time in town

Close to elevator so a bit noisy

Our first room had water leaking from the AC unit all over the floor and had to be changed.

The hotel is great! The beds are a little hard. But the location and the fun atmosphere makes up for that .

The room as very simple. No chairs, night stands, etc. just two beds and a tv. Had to put phone on the floor to charge

The property was near shopping and dining. Very convenient. Breakfast was good with adequate options. The room was disappointing. Super small. Did not even have a closet. No drawer space at all. Bedside tables were too small. One was not even a table. More like a stool.

Clean, comfortable, loved hooks to wall for storage

Friend staff, up to date facility, free coffee. Only limitation is wifi. Not everyone offers it for free these days.

overall the property was nice and the rooms were comfortable. I didn’t like being near an outdoor exit door and having it slam shut many times after 9pm.

When we first arrived they had just experienced a power outage and our room keys were not available. Someone has to escort me to my room to let me in. Then my husband had to get escorted to the room to be let in because he came in after I checked in. Upon arrival the toilet was clogged and we had to get maintained to unclog it. We left our room for our event the returned at 1am having to stop by front desk for room key instead of letting ourselves in through back door and going straight to our room. Again our toilet was clogged but we waited u til check out to inform the front desk because we were tired. The beds are very uncomfortable and only two flat pillows were on our bed.

Don’t tell you about deposit until your checking in

There are positives because word limit, I highlighted negatives: 1. Did not honor the Hilton points as it promised it would. 2. There was a staff self-claiming to be an auditor, standing behind the front desk, while friendly, but got nothing done, nor understood his role. He added complications to the entire process, when Dashwan and Chris alone could have done the job. 3. Will looked over to Dashwan's screen when I was checking in. I expressed I am not comfortable having more than one person looking over to my data, Will got defensive. I explained just because they are all capable, doesn't mean they should not make efforts to minimize Customer data exposure to unnecessary staff. He also showed up suddenly with Chris when Chris and I were looking at the new room they changed me to on issues. Will promised he would come and clean and never showed up. This person is not reliable, overpromised and underdelivered. His colleagues, Chris and Dashwan had to clean up mess Will left behind. 4. Lots of rooms for cleaning improvement for housekeeping - see photos. 5. WiFi security issues - when I was downloading photos from iPhone inside the hotel room, the speed was slow and finally my hard drive disk was rejected in front of me asking me to reformat when I did not do anything to it. That's also when I wasn't even logged onto the hotel's WiFi. Overall: the property is modern and in a great location. Staff quality varies, mostly good, with a handful of bad apples like Will.

Never got our room cleaned. We told the front desk that we will be gone for a certain amount of time. The housekeeper never showed up. Finally showed up when were back and then told them again when we will leave and they never came back to clean.

Clean, quiet & close to town

Sunday’s breakfast was great. Monday is not so much and it ended early.

Breakfast buffet quality has seriously declined since previous visits.

Breakfast food was horrible.

Check in was easy. The room had a good amount of storage areas to put things. Could use some more accessible wall outlets for charging. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again.

The stay was great. The front desk staff were super helpful and participated in being judges for the kids competition I wish the breakfast opened before 7. We missed it both days because we had to leave at 6:30. Thanks!

We will stay again! The rooms and property are clean and the beds are very comfy. Ms. Shirley offers a delicious breakfast with many hot options (sausage, oatmeal, biscuits, scrambled eggs, etc) plus range-free eggs, chicken patties, etc.

I guess my biggest gripe is the breakfast- it was decent but not great. The biscuits and gravy looked good until you tried to grab a biscuit and the steamed biscuit fell apart. Eggs were ok but pancakes were pretty small. Room was nice and staff was nice and tried to make your stay pleasant.
