Really convenient (on the main shopping street). Room is a little small compared to western hotels but I'm told this is pretty standard in metro Japan. Laundry became a little bit of an issue as there was only 3 laundry machines and you had to be lucky to find one available.

3泊4日の旅行で使わせていただきました。駐車場がないのが不便でしたが、周辺のコインパーキングが1600～1800円くらいで停めれたので大きな追加出費にはならなかったですね。ホテルはものすごいきれいで清潔感があり満足です。 1階が24Hカフェなので入りやすいです。一歩出れば狸商店街なので、飲食散歩もたのしい。また利用したいですね。皆様にもおすすめです。

基本的には快適に過ごせました。ただ、ツインではあるものの、広さ的にはシングルの部屋なので、荷物が多い2人だとかなり過ごしづらいです。また、1Fロビーのスペースは基本的にカフェなので仕方ないかと思いますが、ロビー受付前のテーブル周りも飲み物を頼まないと座れないというのはかなり不便だなと思いました。

I visited in February 2025. The hotel is situated above a book-themed cafe which is an interesting concept but the book theme doesn't really make it into the guest rooms so much aside from a book or two lining the shelves. I had a double room which was actually quite small but the room and facilities are generally clean. It was nice to have on-site laundry. The location is very convenient from a shopping and restaurant standpoint as it's at the end of a busy shopping arcade - the good news is that it's at the end of the street so it wasn't particularly crowded. A couple things to note: 1) if you'd like to sit in the cafe area (open 24 hours), you are required to order a coffee, even if you're a guest of the hotel and 2) the cafe is open to the public until midnight I believe. One thing that would've been nice that I found every other hotel I stayed at in Japan included were a couple of free bottles of water each day - nothing a short trip to the konbini can't solve, but a nice gesture. Overall, a pleasant enough stay at a fairly basic hotel.

The hotel is in an very good downtownlocation and the staff were helpful. The rooms are well designed and eye pleasing but the rooms are petit. They discourage you from sitting in the lobby (without first buying something to eat or drink)which is a shame. Also, the lobby furnishings need to be upholstered. But, all in all, a pretty good place to stay in Sapporo.

1人旅で利用。お部屋は少し狭めでしたが、ひとりで使う分には問題ないかなと思います。全体的にお部屋はキレイでしたが、お風呂のピンク汚れが少し気になりました。洗面台のところにゴミ箱があれば、より使いやすかったかなと思います。立地は狸小路商店街の通りなので、ショッピングも楽しめますし、夜女性ひとりで歩いても安心して歩けます。朝食のパンも美味しかったので、カフェ利用としてもおすすめ。

部屋はキレイです。部屋は狭めではありますが、シングルユースかつ大きなキャリーケースもなかったので、困るほどではありませんでした。タオル・シャンプー類・ナイトウェア・スリッパは部屋にあり、歯ブラシや綿棒などはフロントから必要なものを持参する形でした。駅はやや遠いですが、札幌は区画が真っ直ぐで道がわかりやすいので、歩きやすくあまり問題を感じませんでした。狸小路の通りに面してるので、横断歩道さえかわせば雨に濡れないのは良いです。ロビーで本を読む場合、宿泊者でもカフェで注文が必要なのは少し残念でした。部屋はベッドがスペースを占めていて睡魔に負けざるを得なかったので、宿泊者用のスペースがあるといいなと思います。

Really excellent location. My daughter and I walked around all times of the day from early mornings to late at night, and it was very safe. Endless things to see and do within a 20 minute walk. The cafe downstairs is convenient (about the only place open in the mornings other than 7-11) if you are adapting to some jet lag and find yourself up at the crack of dawn. Very friendly staff, the whole city was incredibly kind and welcoming. The bathroom and shower with tub were 10/10 for cleaning off the summer sweat or soaking off sore travel tension. Fair warning - the double twin room is TINY, and I live in a tiny home and I’m used to living small, but I mean really small… hard for a couple of small people with light luggage to set down stuff. But, with so much to do we were hardly there, so it wasn’t too much of a worry! Highly recommend this spot for a few nights in Sapporo.

The Lamplight hotel had great staff and a lovely cafe on the ground floor. Room was small but efficient - space for luggage and lots of bathroom counter space. Only suggestion is to add a few extra hooks for hanging towels in the bathroom. Easy self checkout via machine, except it said I only returned one card after having inserted two. Presumably not an issue, just annoying when technology doesn’t work as intended. We didn’t do breakfast at the hotel, but it looked tasty (and busy!). Considering how lovely the Susukino area is and this famous shopping street, the hotel was very safe any quiet. Would recommend to travelers!

While I never had a chance to grab a cup of coffee, the hotel's lobby doubles as a cute book cafe! The staff are super friendly and helpful--truly appreciated that they made a local call for me to my next stay in Noboribetsu as I only have data service on my phone. It's located at one end of the Tanuki-kōji Shopping Street and just minutes from Susukino so you have your pick of the litter in terms of amazing food and shopping. Loved my stay and will definitely check to see if they're available the next time I'm in Sapporo!

カフェと一体化してるのでフロントが分かりにくく何度か行ったり来たりしました。基本的にカフェのスタッフという意識なのか、お声がけがなく（市内他ホテルではまず案内係から親切にお声がけがあるので）、一方的なチェックインの説明だけで、先送りしていた旅行用荷物も出してこない、落とし物をしてもスルーされたり、お客を待たしてもスタッフ間のやりとりが優先されていて、接客やホスピタリティより「マニュアル通りにやってください」という運営の印象を受けました。結局旅行荷物は一旦部屋に行ってから再びフロントに戻り受け取りましたが、すみませんの一言もなく、カフェとレセプション業務を同時にこなさなければならないスタッフの余裕のなさ（基本的に2名でした）もあるのかなと思いました。部屋は清潔で気持ち良いですがスペースはコンパクトなので、寝に帰る感じです。連泊したので朝食も3日目になると、美味しいんですがハードパンだけなので、パンを噛んでるうちに歯が欠けてしまいました。柔かいパンや他の選択肢もあるといいのにと思いました。

The room was clean and relatively spacious. Pajamas were provided. Certain amenities (such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb) were available at the front desk instead of in the room. In addition, the hotel is conveniently located at the end of Tanukikoji Shopping Street (狸小路商店街) where it is close to the subway and walking distance from many Sapporo attractions (e.g., Sapporo Clock Tower, Odori Park). They also have luggage storage available which was helpful after check-out. We had a great stay here!

The room was very small, but very tidy and clean. The breakfast was also good but a little bit greasy choice for me. If there was a simple continental breakfast choice( bread and butter with coffee) it was perfect.
