Stunning historic property. The multitude of plants and flowers with vines growing on all of the old buildings were breathtaking. Very picturesque swimming pool area although the pool was very cold.

Top Hotel & Anlage mit Pool Bar etc. Etwas weiter weg von Sassi und dem gesamten Touristenstrom, aber das lohnt sich.

We visited this hotel as part of a road trip and a base to visit Matera. The hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff extremely helpful, upon arrival we were given a list of recommended restaurants and shown all the best spots to view the wonderful historic city which was a great addition. Our room was clean and modern and very quiet. We had a covered patio with a table and chairs. The bathroom was big and well supplied and the bedroom was very comfy and clean. The hotel has very safe parking and a pool with bar that were well kept and very clean. Breakfast was hosted in the reception and outside in their courtyard, it had everything you could ask for and was a lovely stay we would stay again.

The Masseria itself is stunning. The rooms are basic but very clean. The pool area is lovely, and the courtyard has beautiful views of the old house built into the rock. We also booked the spa, which was an amazing private experience with steam room, shower, sauna and private pool. 5 minute drive from the Centro Storico.

A beautiful property with lots of space, great pool and large bright room

The pros; the place is beautiful and the pool is fab if the weather is in your favour, especially after a day walking around the town. The room was huge and clean, very comfortable bed. The onsite restaurant is good. The staff are super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Drinks are a good price. The cons; the room was very warm at night and the air con only seems to blow warm air, so not the best night's sleep. Also the shower was really bad water pressure, difficult to have a good shower. Breakfast was very poor, there is a lot of room for improvement there.

Great rooms, and staff. Proximity to the auto Strada and ample parking make this location a winner for folks with a car.

This is an excellent place to stay when you have a car. The grounds are clean and well cared for. The pool is excellent and breakfast in the morning was a good Continental mix. The immediate area around the place is industrial but easy to get to. If you have a car (recommended) it is easy to get to from the highway. It is 10 minutes to the downtown area and parking is very convenient. We had a great time and were able to relax in the middle of the day at the pool while exploring town in the morning and evening.

Beautiful and immaculate setting, we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay in this carefully restored farm estate. Breakfast was delicious, enjoyed in the lovely courtyard. Staff were welcoming and helpful in recommending good restaurants close by. Unfortunately it was too cool to enjoy the gorgeous pool. Only a 5 minute drive to the historic part of Matera.

Our stay at Santa Lucia was truly perfect from start to finish. The property is beautiful — peaceful, clean, and surrounded by nature, yet only a short drive from the historic center of Matera. The rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with directions, restaurant recommendations, or anything we needed. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with plenty of variety and a lovely atmosphere to start the day.

2 bedroom apartment was very nice and very clean. Photos look a little austere, but the apartments are well done and very functional with plenty of space. Important to note that the 2 bedroom apartments actually have two bathrooms (one full and one half bath) which is nice so those sleeping on the flip out couch side can use the restroom at night without disturbing those sleeping in the other room. Most of the reviews are spot on - yes, it's in an industrial area, but once you're inside the gates, you could never tell. The grounds are beautiful and the pool is small but nice. Yes, the breakfast was a little short on options, mainly cakes and sweets with some cold cuts, bread and cheese and some basic cereals, but what was there was good.

Wir hatten eine Deluxe Suite mit 40 qm bestellt. Als wir ankamen, wollte uns der Mitarbeiter der Rezeption ein ca. 25 qm großes Zimmer mit nur einem kleinen Fenster auf ca. 250 cm Höhe geben. Das Zimmer war kalt und sehr dunkel. Als ich ihm meine Buchung einer Suite mit 40qm und einem großen ebenerdigen Fenster hinwies, meinte er, das ist die gleiche Kategorie und Zimmergrößen spielen bei ihm keine Rolle. Außerdem sind alle anderen Zimmer belegt. Damit waren wir natürlich nicht einverstanden und es schaltete sich im Hintergrund ein weiterer Mitarbeiter ein. Dann erhielten wir plötzlich die 40qm Suite mit Terrasse. Das Anwesen war auch maximal zu 30% belegt und nicht voll wie behauptet. Unser Zimmer war sehr gut gereinigt, jedoch ist die Anlage, insbesondere der Pool und die Pflasterflächen, in einem ungepflegten Zustand. Beim durchschnittlichen Frühstück, welches der gleiche Mitarbeiter zubereitete, der uns das falsche Zimmer geben wollte, war kein Brot mehr da. Daraufhin meinte er, es ist aus und es gibt heute keines mehr. Das war morgens um 08:45 Uhr. Insgesamt wäre es eine sehr attraktive Anlage, wenn die Pflege außen und ein gewissenhafter ehrlicher Service vorhanden wären. Und wenn man mehr bezahlt, um eine attraktivere größere Suite zu erhalten, sollte das für die Mitarbeiter auch selbstverständlich sein und nicht versucht werden, den Kunden zu übervorteilen

Ottima struttura per fare eventi...si trova un una zona tranquilla e vicino al centro....pulizia lascia molto a desiderare...camere non perfettamente insonorizzate...colazione solo dolce e poca scelta...da migliorare...

This resort is about 15 minute drive from the historic district of Matera. I had stayed in the center of town in the other cities we visited in Puglia. I liked the quietness of this location. The room was elegantly furnished with high arching ceiling. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great.

Our stay at Masseria Santa Lucia was okay. The accommodation itself is very nice. We booked the Deluxe Suite and were amazed by how nicely newly decorated it was, with high ceilings, lovely bathroom with luxurious shower and comfortable bed. The swimming pool looks equally stunning with modern beach chairs. However, that experience got overshadowed a bit by the unfriendly welcome. The lady who welcomed us was clearly not in the mood to give her guests a warm welcome. That’s a pity for the quite high price we paid. The rest of the staff was nicer, yet not to the level of other accommodations we booked for our Italian trip and where we paid much less. Furthermore, I asked two times in advance via the booking platform how I could book the guided Matera tour they mention in their services, but didn’t got any response, although they contacted me via the same way for check-in. The breakfast is served in the patio, which is a nice spot, yet very warm the moment we were there (mid August), making us feel very sweaty already from the breakfast on. Last but not least, the hotel is situated somewhat in the middle of an industrial area, which doesn’t add to a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Luckily we had a car, which resulted in easily being able to visit Matera, otherwise a taxi would be needed, I think, since we didn’t see any dining options in the hotel itself.

Our sty at Masseria Santa Lucia was very comfortable. We had some difficulty finding it from the highway, but once we arrived, all was good. We received good recommendations for dining options both inside and outside Matera, as well as great parking and touring directions from Enzo. We enjoyed our stay and would strongly consider returning.

Driving up to this property we were very sceptical as it is located in an industrial area but passing thru the gates we were blown away the property is beautiful and the staff was friendly. Check in seemed normal we were given a bit of information on the property and even shown how the front gates worked after hours. The one huge drawback is that there is no staff on site after 8pm…which would have been good to know as you are definitely on your own after that! We unfortunately locked our keys in our room and were unable to reach anyone even using the numbers provided and therefore had to spend the night in our car. We received sorry for the inconvenience almost 24hrs after the incident and that was it! It is unfortunate as the property is stunning and the staff for the most part was helpful just don’t find yourself needing ANYTHING after 8pm! Such a shame!

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful

Andrea & Lucia were attentive, kind and professional. I stayed just one night but they did a great job. Nice breakfast, nice pool and the grounds are both charming and spotless.

It is an interesting structure built into the rock. Unfortunately the service was sub-par, the staff was dismissive and lacking manners or the attitude to make your stay enjoable. The other low point is the location: the masseria is in the middle of an industrial zone. Definitely not worth the money or time.

Everything besutiful but the two guys at the réception ( busy on their phone ) not welcoming at all , and in a hurry to serve U.S.

Great hotel in an unexpected area. Short drive to Matera for sight seeing and the hotel provides 4 star accommodations away from the crowds. We will stay again.

Belle masseria avec chambre confortable, accès via une zone commerciale mais sans désagrément. Bon accueil avec explications touristiques sur Matera. Tout est bien, seul bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui est minimaliste (des propositions en supplément) et jus d'orange de basse qualité en supplément. Grand parking gratuit, 10mn en voiture de Matera.

We stayed at Masseria Santa Lucia for five nights. It is in the industrial area of Matera, but as other reviews have mentioned once you get there it is a gem. You do not notice your surroundings. It is very quiet, clean, and comfortable. The pool is beautiful. The breakfast is continental but very good. Since we had rented a car, this was a good base for us to explore the region of Basilicata. It would have been difficult to park in the city center of Matera. We did a walking tour of Matera which we highly recommend and took a cab to the meeting place.

the hotel is extremely beautiful, the room was modern and comfortable, it was easy to go to Matera atractions...the only problem was concerning the breakfast...few options, with lots of sugar...being a hotel of that level and price they could really improve this...

Un écrin de verdure et de tranquillité en périphérie d'une zone d'activité (que l'on ne ressent pas une fois dans le parc de l'hôtel). Situé à quelques minutes en voiture du centre historique de Matéra cet hôtel est idéal pour visiter la ville et les environs, tout en assurant un séjour au calme. Les salles et (certaines) chambres autour de la cour sont, pour parties, creusées dans la roche, ce qui donne un charme tout particulier à cet hôtel. Belle piscine. Petit déjeuner très copieux.
