This home is not too little, not too much, it is just enough. The cottage is charming and the gardens beautiful. It really felt like home. Daniel and Jordan are welcoming and helpful. They do some very special things for their guests ---I must mention Jordon's beautiful garden flower arrangement --but the coffee and sparkling water were also very much appreciated. I highly recommend this home. I hope to go back.

We spent a week at this property while visiting my husband's family in Highland Park. The host, Daniel, was super accommodating and helpful from the initial booking and throughout our stay. My daughter uses a wheelchair and needs a special toilet seat; Daniel was kind enough to take pictures and measurements of the toilet so I could confirm that our seat would work (it did!). With portable ramps we rented in town, the property worked perfectly. (For anybody else with accessibility needs, her electric wheelchair couldn't fit through the bathroom door, but the bathroom was small enough that she could drive her chair right up to the door and we could easily transfer her. There are also grab bars in the shower). Daniel even came over with some tools our first night to help me loosen a nut on the toilet that was too tight to unscrew by hand, and dropped off eggs from his chickens. The home was comfortable and clean; there were at least a dozen restaurants, if not more, less than a 5 minute walk away along Sheridan Road and Waukegan, and a 5 minute drive from downtown Highland Park. The only caveat is to be careful entering the bathroom if you're taller than 6 feet—the door is low, and my husband bonked his head a few times because he kept forgetting. We will definitely book the property the next time we are in town.

This property is fantastic and the host Daniel is outstanding. Here’s some reasons why you should book this place; adorable 19th century cottage redone to modern standards, great garden thanks to Jordan, perfect location for walking to dining in Knollwood, the train station and Tala coffee, near to open lands and hiking trails. If you need a place to stay to visit Northshore family or friends … this is it.
