Stayed 4 nights

I wish VRBO allowed half stars because it really should be a 3.5. Alas, it wasn't a 4 and here's why.Communication leading up to our stay & check in were all as expected. Excellent communication, both before & during our stay. But we quickly learned the pics & description didn't quite live up to expectations. The pool area was the one thing we were looking forward to the most & ended up being the largest disappointment. When we first went to get in the pool, we noticed an ant infestation that ran from some of the vegetation along the fence line along the side of the pool. There were so many ants, they were falling in to the water & leaving a thin layer of dead bugs along the surface. We tried to skim out the bugs as best we could be the skimmer wasn't a fine mesh skimmer so many of the bugs remained in the pool. We let the owners know and they directed us to a can of bug spray. Not the best solution. There's also a very large crack in the pavement along one side of the pool between the pool and the house, requiring swim shoes or similar to be worn around the deck because of sharp edges. We also checked the filter & it was filled with leaves & debris. We opted for Barton Springs to swim the next day. Many rooms had cracks in walls / ceiling, indicating possible water damage behind the walls.Beds were also concave & sagging to the middle in both king beds.Decent, not great, stay. Overall, not worth the price.

This Vrbo was amazing! It had everything a family would need from beach towels, to full kitchen supplies and an outdoor area for games, plus the great pool that was heated to 85. Everything was PERFECT and the communication was detailed and wonderful.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Holy Duck! Jacob, our host, was very communicative and always easy to get a hold of. The back yard space was wonderful for hanging out and playing games, and the inside was comfortable with plenty of room for our group of 6. I also love that everything we could ever ask for was provided, including shower items, plenty of towels, cooking gear and spices. Highly recommend!

The kitchen has most cooking utensils, but it's nonstick pans. Oddly enough I found a cast iron skillet! Which was a welcome surprise. Communication was, at the time reliably quick with the property manager, although there were not fixes to the issues we faced. There is a minefield of dog poop in the backyard, around the corner of the house, so don't let kids run around unsupervised. There are bugs, in and out of doors. The bath and shower were not very clean upon arrival, hairs and soap residue, and I had to clean it myself. The pool had bits of bugs in it, we netted as much as we could. The pool never got heated beyond 85 even after we paid the fee to heat it to 95. The bedsheets are polyester and hot.
