Very spacious and clean rooms (two bedroom family executive suite) with cleaners everyday along with 6 items of clothing available for washing free of charge every day. The pool was warm and spacious. The only downside was the bar which closed prior to the advertised 10pm on a number of occasions. Would recommend to any family visiting Hoi An.

Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt genossen. Das Fitnessstudio ist sehr groß und es gibt viele unterschiedliche Maschinen. Es war auch nicht so überfüllt- Sonst ist es eine sehr große Hotelanlage, wovon maximal ein Drittel noch genutzt wird - viele Räume stehen leer und es sieht ein wenig verlassen und runtergekommen aus. Pool ist auf jeden Fall schön und auch das Frühstück ist ok.

This is a resort quality lodging that is right on the beach. It is vast complex the includes a movie they're. Rooms are spacious, clean, and well appointed. Stay includes a sizeable buffet breakfast that has Asian as well as western food. The pool is huge and by the beach. The private beach is never crowded with fairly calm waters. I really liked this property. I know there are lots of bad reviews on here but I don’t think it’s as bad as people are saying. Yes it has a lot of empty spaces but I already expected it by reading everyone’s reviews. The room we had was a sea view and it was nice and clean. The washrooms were nice and not smelly at all. I LOVED their Korean Sauna spa and they have a huge gym. Our room was very clean and most of the staff was really nice. We ate at the Korean restaurant 2 nights and both times were really good. The owner/staff was very friendly as well. The front desk team made it special for my mom’s bday and surprised her with cake. (Shout out to tram and nga and everyone else there) The spa staff was always very helpful and kind. (I don’t know their names but they were honestly the sweetest) The housekeeping staff was always cheerful and sweet. The only thing I could think of is they need to train up their breakfast staff as they are often standing around talking, not friendly and not doing their jobs. Also yes they don’t allow food but that’s only heavy smelling food. If you bring most foods it’s fine just not the super smelly stuff. We ended up extending our stay for 1 extra night. I would still recommend this place and also would come back.

We stayed at the hotel a little bit too long considering that the hotel doesn’t have much to offer and is outdated. A huge resort that has seen better days but after a tough Covid period it doesn’t look much alive and in the evening it looks like a ghost town. Perfect location in front of the beach, quiet area to relax but also a lot of space for children. We were welcomed by a young, kind receptionist who speaks very good English which is rare in Asia. She showed us around the premises and explained everything. Very friendly staff. The hotel offers free laundry (4 pcs per day) and free minibar once a week and free shuttle to Hoi A town, which is a nice service. The superior king-size sea view rooms are big enough and have perf view. TV needs more English channels or smart TV to connect our accounts. The conditioning works as it should and it is quiet. The housekeeping ladies are doing a great job and really helpful. A weird smell in the corridors when we walked to our room. The pool is huge and nice but the water slides need to be replaced, they are old and dangerous to walk up because the steps are so small and slippery. No slides at the children's pool The beach/pool bar is a joke. It doesn’t have the beach vibe and it doesn’t look welcoming to sit and enjoy a drink. It needs a serious renovation and the menu could have more variety. Breakfast area is huge made specifically for the Chinese crowds. Staff were great. Service was excellent. Loved the breakfasts - plenty of selection and really good food. Pool is beautiful but it was closed for annual cleaning except for our last day. Great beach. Building needs some minor repairs from moisture leaks/condensation, but very minor. The vendor shops are all closed, probably due to slow COVID recovery. Price is great right now. This place would normally be 2-3 times the price, but it’s 3/4 empty right now. Highly recommend

Very hard to converse with Customer Service, Google translate had to be used. room was cleaned / tidied daily ...cups and glasses were washed and left on sink ( no new ones given) breakfast buffet was a nightmare ..yes it was included in the price however at least 300 people each morning in a huge hall with limited air-conditioning was not very pleasant, not to mention hands touching food and putting things back. You were lucky to find a table...if you did.. you had to walkthe length of the hall to get to the one food area. We had a two bedroom apartment with a balcony ..however only one person could stand on the balcony at one time...a lot of vacant shops within the hotel made it look dated and rundown. Pool was nice but you could never get a sun lounge as there was not enough for the amount of people staying at the resort. The pool bar was badly managed and we waited 45 minutes for two cocktails ...after approaching the staff for our order ...we received a very substandard cocktail .. that you could not taste the alcohol ..not enjoyable. Would not recommend.. and wouldn't stay again... After ten days there Idefinitely would not consider this hotel 5 star as its rating suggests. I would not stay here again.

Beautiful large grounds. Nice spacious rooms and fun pool for the kids. They also enjoyed the playground and indoor play space. It is a bit of a walk to An Bang beach along the sand (i would happily do it, but kids weren't keen)

Parts of the facility were nice but parts were abandoned/run down. Pool area was nice but pool chairs were hard to come by. Not enough chairs down on the beach. Didn’t realize the resort was as big as it was and the large dining hall buffet breakfast was pretty unappealing.

Context of our review, we are full-time travellers, with 4 children under 6 years that stay in low budget hotels, Airbnb’s, all the way to 5 star. Let’s start with saying, that this hotel experience to be honest was just weird and eerie. Absolutely massive resort complex with retailers however all vacant and closed giving it an eerie feel. The resort is right on the beach, which is amazing to be able to walk to straight from your room. The beach was nice and calm for swimming with kids and great for long walks into the sunset The pool we always love a good pool was absolutely enormous, the downside. It always looked very cloudy and extremely hot so in 33° hot weather jumping into the pool felt like going from hot to hotter like a spa. The resort would not allow food from outside, however hotel food was not great so that made it challenging for our family. The breakfast is huge, but just horrible quality, the staff in the breakfast are also very cold feeling. There’s no warmth in engagement with them. There’s a kids club, which wasn’t bad. There’s an outdoor play equipment also not bad. Rooms have been recently renovated. We had glue seeping up from the wooden floors throughout our whole apartment onto our feet for the whole week which you can imagine we were sleeping with. Housekeeping stuff on the other hand were, Ahn - she was fantastic. Not sure we could recommend this hotel as there are too many other competitive hotels around

We booked this resort as a fancy treat during our backpacking trip, and it did not quite live up to expectations. The hotel is fine but a little run down. Many of the shops and restaurants on the property appeared to be permanently closed or never opened. Our room had a beautiful view of the beach. It was tidy, but not spotless, and the it looked a little worn. The hallways and elevators smelled. Overall, it was a perfectly acceptable accommodation for a budget or mid-range traveler, but because we were looking for something special, we canceled and went elsewhere. The staff were very helpful and understanding.

I enjoyed a three night stay at Citadines Pearl Hotel. I chose it for the beach location and enjoyed my room with an ocean view. My room was clean, spacious and as described on the web site. I enjoyed the combination wood bathtub / shower in my bathtub. The breakfast buffet had a large selection, I think the pastries could have been a bit fresher or higher quality. I also noted trash at the hotel’s section of the beach. A great aspect of my stay was that the staff at the hotel were fantastic. They were friendly, knowledgeable and very eager to help me and ensure that I had a great stay. They provided suggestions for visiting and shopping in Hoi An and coordinated spa services for me.

What I liked The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable with good storage, a free weekly-replenished minibar, and British plug sockets with USB ports in convenient places. Beds were excellent for a good night’s sleep, and daily housekeeping was always to a high standard. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout. I also really appreciated the complimentary laundry service – six items per room per day – which is something I’ve not come across before on a two-week stay and it made a big difference. Transport was straightforward: Grab taxis were cheap and reliable (around £3 for a 6-seater to the old town), and the walk to An Bang beach with its restaurants and bars was easy. ATMs were everywhere, and with the right card (I used TSB and Monzo) there were no extra charges, which worked far better than bringing too much cash. ⸻ What was unique The free daily laundry allowance was a real standout – it’s rare to find that in a hotel stay of this length and it added real convenience. Having British sockets already fitted was another unexpected bonus, removing the need for adapters. The combination of free minibar, high-quality room cleaning, and consistently comfortable beds made the whole experience very easy and stress-free.

An ok hotel. It could do with a refresh as my room had dirty marks across the walls and was I desperate need of some paint. The balcony railings were rusty and were too small to sit out on. The reception staff often struggle to communicate in English, meaning that things often needed to be explained over and over again. Mall doesn’t exist as it is numerous empty units. A bit hotel but it has no soul.

We booked a deluxe room but had a poor view ,we asked for an upgrade and were shown two rooms at no extra charge. We chose a premier ocean view room. Only good thing about this room was the view all amenities were better in deluxe room . PRO’S and CON’S Best thing about this place is the staff , everything was done with smiles and really looked after us ,they could not do enough for us when my wife’s suit case arrived damaged. Premiere ocean view room. Only good thing is the view. Tiny fridge no ice maker and didn’t get cold even though changed out 3 times but deluxe room had full size fridge freezer. Outdoor lounge supplied in living room very uncomfortable better for a real couch as per deluxe room No rain shower as per deluxe room just hand held not a lot of pressure and dies off after a few minutes Pool area . Pool lounges have no Foam Matt’s very hard on back and butt Asked them why not supply them and have no answer Pool towels are small ,old and very thin wornout ,need 2 each time . Pool bar is great not a swim up but has food and drinks made and cocktails are nice Only beer is available for 2 for one happy hour . Beach Beach was filthy with tons of sticks ,plastic and foam washed up all over it No beach area set up at all by the hotel to relax on like other hotels have Shops. Shops are mostly all closed which is a shame there were so many places in the resort to shop before Covid hit but still a couple of small marts and a couple restaurants only.one restaurant

A great location on the beach. Our room was spacious with a lovely sea view& double balcony. Only feedback would be to have more regular shuttle bus into Hoi An centre. There were only 3 buses a day & the bus only had 12 seats which isn’t enough for such a large hotel.

Lovely hotel, the staff were amazing, friendly and very helpful. It’s a big complex but felt quiet whilst we were there. We booked a large room and had an issue late one night; they didn’t question us and moved us immediately despite the time. The air con is needed on all night which can be quite loud but the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable

Absolutley fantastic stay for 21 nights 4 of us. We had a warm greeting on arrival and we were informed we had been upgraded to fabulous rooms. The staff at this hotel were exceptionally helpful, both before during and after our visit. We were a large group of adults and children and were given rooms close together. The rooms were spacious and clean with everything we needed. Breakfast was a large array of goodies and the other meals we ate in the hotel were all of high quality. The staff keep all public areas clean .and the reception staff are helpfu and friendly. They went above and beyond to arrange some complicated transport for our large group and when one of the children left a toy dog behind they went out of their way to find it and arranged for it to be returned. Very much hope to return for another visit. No hesitation in recommending.

We had an excellent stay at The Pearl Hoi An! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. To our surprise, we were even upgraded to a spacious beach view apartment, which made our stay even more memorable. The room was modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The facilities are top-notch, and the atmosphere is both peaceful and luxurious. Great Location - easy to get into the Old Town and a short walk down the beach to An Bang. We had an apartment which was fine, except that there was no cutlery and nothing to cook with if one was thinking of doing meals. The breakfast was very average but adequate. Access to the beach was simple, but there was very limited shade provided on the beach. Overall it's not a bad place to stay and while I probably won't stay again, I wouldn't dismiss it as an option if you get a good price.

The property is kind of off the beaten path from anything but it was a large complex and very self contained if you weren’t into exploring the actual city. There were a ton of amenities and this appeared to be a terrific hotel if you were traveling with children. It was not the vibe my trip was going for but it would be great for a family with young kids. The room was large and had a nice useable balcony. Very quiet facility and the breakfast was very diverse in its options and tasty. The beach area looked to not be super swimming friendly but we did visit while it was stormy out so that may have been why. Good price and the beds were comfy. Also the gym was incredibly well equipped. Good stay if you’re looking for a more all inclusive type feel with lots of options on site for things to do.

Wonderful hotel, we loved our stay there. We were upgraded to a 2 bed apartment as the pool was closed for our first couple of days, the apartment was spotless, everything looked new, 2 big bedrooms and 2 bathrooms living room/ kitchen diner in one and a lovely sea view, the breakfast was really good with lots of choices and the little cafe on the site does excellent food and drinks. Seems like there were a few places closed but this did not affect our stay, lovely helpful staff and easy to get into town using grab taxis, would definitely recommend staying here we had a great time.

Fab hotel with lovely pool area and right on the beach . Wonderful location. Easy to walk into An Bang where there are many bars and restaurants. Short taxi ride into wonderful Hoi An which was a delight. Our room was lovely with the best most comfortable bed we’ve ever slept in . Also a great laundry service . Huge choice breakfast . We had a great stay at this very reasonably priced and very comfortable hotel.

The room was clean and comfortable with a good bathroom and shower. The wifi worked well. The problem with this place is that it is enormous in size and the place is like a ghost town. The shops are all empty and there are areas completely deserted. It is not near any town or shops or alternative dining places within walking distance. As you walk around it is a bit creepy and weird. We shortened our intended stay here as it didn't suit us.

It is a luxury resort like feel at a budget friendly price perhaps due to booking through Expedia. Reception and check in was hassle free and was able to get room early. Room was spacious with a great view of the garden, pool, and the beach catching some nice sunrises. Their complimentary breakfast buffet had a variety of food items to satisfy anyone's palate. The place is clean and well maintained. Nothing negative worth mentioning. Riding into town is only a free shuttle away or through Grab for a more expedient offer

Great stay for R&R stay was very friendly and quick to help in any way. The room was lovely bed & pillows super comfy! the breakfast buffet was one of the bests we have had in Vietnam. Other dining was just average and portions small. Pool was lovely and the beach was great not far walking to the little village of An Bang beach.

Not long after arrival, I walked around the complex and couldn’t figure out what was going on here. The lobby is beautiful, the restaurant and food are really good, the rooms are clean, modern and spacious. Yet, there’s abandoned shops, all through the complex. It turns out that covid decimated that side of it. It’s a really cool place. My kids and I had a great stay. Throw a few dollars into a coffee or two in the shops that are open and encourage it to grow.

Very beautiful property, nice staff, pool/ pool service great. Now for the cons - be prepared to pay for everything single thing here, even water. Not only that, everything is much more expensive on the resort. For example, our average meal in Veitnam was $350K VND for full meals & multiple drinks. At this hotel, we simply had sandwiches & one drink each (beer & soda) and cost almost $800k VND. Our most expensive meal. The beach area has no chairs or umbrellas. There is also no night entertainment Because of all of this we hardly stayed on the resort. If you plan on exploring Da Nang, I wouldn’t recommend staying here as there’s much more affordable lodging options. However, if you’re looking to stay on the resort the entire time for extreme relaxation then this hotel might be worth it

Our stay at The Pearl Hoi An was a wonderful time. We loved the breakfast buffet, it was always a great start to our day, with plenty of variety to enjoy. The location was excellent with a beautiful beach and a short shuttle ride to Hoi An. The service was exceptional, and the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. The laundry service was very convenient for our long 19-night stay, and despite staying so long we never got bored. Every day was paradise. Thank you for everything, I would definitely love to come again some day!

This is NOT a 5 star resort by western standards more likely a 3 star resort. While the room was spacious, there was minimal furniture and decoration in the room leaving it feeling empty. The ‘sofa’ in the room was actually outdoor rattan furniture and there was no adequate seating on either of the two balconies. The staff overall were unhelpful and not very friendly, not at all the service you would expect at a 5 star hotel or even other 4 star hotels we have stayed in whilst in Vietnam. There is breakfast included which is ok but be aware that there is very limited air conditioning outside the hotel rooms meaning it is incredibly hot everywhere including the restaurant. You are not allowed to bring in outside food and drink which we found very strange and the fees for most things (like laundry service) were way way overpriced. It is much cheaper to find local service providers and use them

First, let’s be clear. This is not a 5 star resort. At best, it’s an undersupplied, over extended, large 4 start hotel. Most of the property looks like an abandon mall, covered with photos of what could be in those places, or perhaps what used to be in those places. Its unclear. For a massive “resort”, having 1 restaurant on site is ridiculous. For a massive resort that brags about its large pool and private beach, never having enough chairs at either is ridiculous. And even if we were occasionally lucky enough to find chairs at the pool, there were no umbrellas. Children are allowed to run amok at the pool. They even have a giant blow up hamster wheel that the children are allowed to crash into the other guests who are trying to swim and relax. What is there not a designated children’s area? The breakfast buffet always felt like a war zone in which people have to fight for tables and access to the all too small buffet space for a property this large. The hotel is also inconsistent with its quality of service. For example, 1 night we were given plastic cups for drinks in our room, and the next day we were told that the hotel doesn’t do that. In short, save your money and go somewhere else.
