Old style pub, great place to stay, rooms very nice. Classic bar downstairs, acoustic/electric performers in bar. Everybody friendly, but prepared to leave you alone if you are in that type of mood. Outside 24/7 access stairways not an option for elderly people. At 74 I would go there again

We booked a superior queen room but were assigned an internal room. This was corrected after checkin. Our room (22) was spotlessly clean however it was next to the external entry door (constantly slamming shut), metal stairs (very noisy with people walking up and down), and aircon units (constant noise). Basic amenities...2 small plates, 2 cups, 2 knives and 2 teaspoons, fridge, kettle and toaster. There was a hotplate but no utensils, so couldn't use it. We dined in the pub and had good meals, and joined happy hour the following day. Staff were very friendly. Would stay here again but be more particular about the location of our room.

Lacks temperature control. Pictures didn't show what my room would look like very well if at all. Mattress felt cheap and hard. Room had kitchenette with stove stop but nothing to use on it, a microwave would've been nice instead. However, meals at bistro are great.

Delay to get checked in on arrival. It wasn’t clear where to go and had to wait for all drinks to be served before a staff member would check me in. Access to rooms via fire stairs was a disappointment. Room was clean cosy and comfortable. No room refreshment during three night stay. Had to ask for rubbish bag, toilet tissue etc. very convenient location however and small kitchenette was great. A microwave in the room would have been appreciated.

The hotel is located in the middle of downtown which makes it easy walking to the shops and cafes. Keep in mind it is a Pub, so there will be live music playing until 11pm. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfortable.

Our Queen Deluxe double room looked brand new, beautifully neat and attractive. Compact, but enough space. (Personally, I'm a bit old for one side of bed being along a wall, so a bit of crawling in and out 😊). Very spacious bathroom, but at present lacks a shelf for toiletteries. Management still working out how to set it all up. Good facilities, but no chair(s) or table, and limited kitchen facilities, but all staff (with Joe and Ash, our go-toers) were wonderful, and provided things on request. An older motel with recent upgrades in a great location. The staff were friendly and helpful, making good suggestions for dining. The room was spacious with a desk and small dining table (two chairs). The bathroom was great, water pressure was OK. The kitchenette was handy, with the basics all provided. Air-con worked well and the bed was super comfortable. I really can't think of any area that could be improved.

TV inaccessible up left of bed behind line of sight. Jug and toaster chords too short to reach plugs. Why have a cooktop that can't be used? Shelf in bathroom loose so stuff slips off. No seats ANYWHERE except one outside op shop. Decor totally out of character of hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights on a work trip from Monday to Wednesday. Great for a short stay. Can get a bit noisy from the bar but they provided earplugs. I upgraded to a room with a window, however, the window was in the bathroom. All in all a pleasant stay.

Well ' was asked to pay a security deposit of $100.00 upon arrival....Being a female pensioner of 70, thought this ridiculous....After some negotiating, paid $50.00 using my card .. Still not have been refunded this amount...Have rang several times, and have been promised the refund....Thing they are a bunchnof liars and scammers, not impressed.....Shame on this establishment.. .

The whole stay was very relaxing and pleasant. I must give a Gold Star to Asher the barman. He was so pleasant and helpful. We had a very small glitch and he personally fixed straight away. All the staff were pleasant and that makes a big difference to how one feels about a place. Well done, Imperial Hotel.

Has been beautifully restored.very quiet room. The picture shows a room with a balcony and window we did not get. We had a wonderful dinner that we didn't have to wait very long for. As it is the main area of town great for walking around the shops.

The Imperial was central and parking the car was difficult as the parking spaces were often taken up by patrons of the pub. We stayed on a Thurs night and there was noise from the bar areas. I wouldn't like to stay on a Fri/Sat unless I was attending a function. The room was nice and modern and clean. Happy with our stay. We ate in the Bistro and the meal was good.

The Hotel was fresh and clean, the room we had was spacious as was the shower. What we liked: The proximity to town. Cleanliness and freshness of the Hotel. What we didn't like: Bit noisey at times, it's a pub, you'd expect that. Toilet in the shower area behind a frosted glass door. What would be nice to have: A small round table and a couple of chairs in the corner. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would happily stay again.
