This is a very good resort in a great location. You receive this flimsy card key to wear around your wrist. Either it stops working or it falls off. You need a better solution. I did half board and was not too happy with the food. I only eat meat. There was plenty of it but just not that good. My favourite food item was the made to order omelet at breakfast. In addition, at breakfast water is free. At dinner you are charged for water. In my opinion, this is an injustice. Overall, I would return to this resort, but would have my meals at local restaurants.

Wonderful stay in the Royal room with hot tub overlooking the garden and sea. Comfy bed, quiet location and walking distance to beach and restaurants. Friendly staff and even received chocolates on the pillows. I enjoyed using the exclusive Royal guests only pools.

Cleanliness of the rooms needs to be addressed ants running all over the food prep areas and bedside units and bed, notified reception they did nothing but appologise ate out for full week, food resteraunt was nice but food could be better, not as hot as would of liked and choice became a bit boring, beautiful location very scenic, pools very cold heated one became very busy in sister hotel but still enjoyed very much

It was fine, various things in the apartment didn’t work however (light bulbs, only one air conditioning unit, shower gel holder kept falling off). I didn’t tell reception because it wasn’t enough to warrant that much effort but just not sure why they weren’t just working. Aren’t they checked every time there is a switchover? I wasn’t advised about the Barceló app so when I went to the spa all the appointments were fully booked. And the steam room wasn’t working. Also, sadly the food at evening meal (I went half board) was terrible. I would not really have said this was 4*.

Beaucoup d'améliorations sont nécessaires pour mériter les 4 étoiles affichées. Nous étions en bungalow supérieur : bien. comme un petit appartement donc pratique mais la fenêtre de la SDB se décollait du mur impossible de l'ouvrir et laisse passer bruit et vent. Le robinet du lavabo fuyait donc de l'eau partout. Le ménage laissait à désirer. Nous avions demandé à ce qu'il ne soit pas fait les 2 premiers jours mais après on aurait apprécié le minimum ! Les serviettes de plage/piscine prêtées avec caution obligatoirement en cash ! 10€/ par personne donc obligé de retirer de l'argent avec 3,95€ de frais pour une serviette moche et avec laquelle personne n'aurait envie de partir !! Le spa... SPA ? Payant : 20€ / personne si on ne prend pas de soins mais ce n'est pas agréable : plusieurs petits bassins mais pas génial, bruyant entre les cours d'aquagym et les clients qui s'amusent à gueuler en testant les douches glacées et personne pour leur demander du clame ! Claquettes inconfortables au possible ! Personnel : en majorité agréable mais certains franchement désagréables, notamment un vieux c au bar La Perlita. Et le summum : la piètre qualité des repas : toujours la même chose, aucune saveur sans parler des surprises pas agréables "cachées" dans la salade ! Donc en somme le lieu est plutôt joli mais l'entretien et la qualité des services très décevants. Bon point néanmoins pour les équipes d'animation aussi bien françaises qu'internationales et Petit dej : très bien.

I thought that the property was well maintained and organised, positioned in an ideal spot to access Caleta De Fuste resort and / beach. I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to Junior Suite. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The Castle in the grounds gave the hotel a sense of grandness. Although the swimming pool was very cold, I did access it. I liked that my block (3) was very close to the pool and buffet restaurant. I liked that I could also eat in the other hotel and try various cuisines e.g. Mexican. My only improvement would be for the buffet food to be hotter than it was. I know in the Mediterranean there is a tendency not to have the food piping hot but that's my preference.

Disappointing and misleading experience I booked Barcelo Castillo Resort for our Christmas holiday, expecting a child-friendly experience based on its advertising, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. My 4-year-old was upset to find the princess/pirate room closed, the pools too cold to use, and no toys available in the Barcy Club. The children’s disco was poorly organized, held outdoors in the cold December evenings, making it very uncomfortable. The layout of the resort was inconvenient—long walks were required to reach any bar, restaurant, or the gym. Speaking of the gym, it was at the far end of the resort, shared with Barcelo Mar, and so overcrowded that exercising was impossible. The food in the restaurant was tasteless, often undercooked, and required multiple requests to have grilled items properly cooked. The bar offered a very limited drink selection. For Christmas night, we were charged triple the normal rate, and while the dinner was nice, it didn’t justify the price. The only benefit was access to the Barcelo Mar heated pool and children’s entertainment, but this required another long walk, which wasn’t practical every night with a tired toddler. Despite my repeated complaints, staff were unhelpful and didn’t address issues like the broken shower head that splashed water all over the bathroom. Overall, the experience was far below expecand wojld not recommend. Definetly not coming back here again.

From the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed and the staff couldn't do enough. The bungalow I stayed in was sublime - everything I needed and more...and approx 10 steps to the pool on one side, and 10 steps to the beach on the other side. My return flight wasn't until 9pm, and check-out is at 12 noon - however, they allow you to use the facilities and even have a shower and changing room so that you could freshen up after the day and before leaving for your flight - what a bonus! They also ordered the most perfect week of weather! LOL LOL AMAZING STAY - will definitely return!!! THANK YOU Barcelo Fuerteventura Castillo

Attention l’hôtel Barceló Castillo et collé au Barceló Mar les photos sur le sites sont trompeuses. Vous pouvez avoir accès au piscine du Barceló Mar mais pas à tout les restaurants. Cela dit le Barceló Castillo est très bien seul bémol aussi : il faut demander des chambres de 2000 à 4000 surtout celles qui commencent par 1000 car vous devrez traverser une route pour accéder à l’hôtel et les chambres sont loins.

Mycket fint hotell, rent och snyggt. Stor anläggning tillsammans med systerhotellet Barceló Mar. Fina planteringar, gym och många pooler att välja på. Mycket stor långgrund strand direkt nedanför hotellen. Jag hade en lägenhet i delen Royal Family. Uppvärmd pool. Ingen brist på solbäddar. Mycket trevlig personal och mycket bra mat. Jag kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell.

Especialmente me gustó la ubicación del bungalow en el que estuvimos, practicamente en la playa su limpieza, distribucion, me encantó. En general todo el hotel y su personal amable y encantador, sus instalaciones, ubicacion, limpieza, restaurantes, piscinas..... El hotel está fantastico, hemos disfrutado mucho de nuestra estancia. I’ve stayed at 3 separate Barcelo hotels in the past 3 years, this is the worst. It’s a huge site, it was a 20min round trip to walk to reception or for breakfast/dinner. When there was a problem with my keycard slightly before checkout time, the staff were not helpful, apologetic or sympathetic. It was 10 mins to walk there, queue to be seen, separate ‘royal level’ reception wouldn’t even talk to me, pointed me in the direction of main reception. All in all, a 35 minute total to resolve a key problem which left me 20 mins to shower and get organised. Room cleaning staff only made beds and changed towels, not one thing else, it isn’t acceptable with the price paid and for an upmarket hotel chain like Barcelo. Restaurant staff and food good, can’t fault that. Bar staff didn’t want to be there, rushed drinks and onto the next. Bars need tidying up, the harbour area is lovely, but the bar and entertainment area could be changed and made a lot nicer and certainly cleaner. All in all, I won’t stay again, there are better hotels out there.

Suite avec jacuzzi spacieuse et refaite à neuf. Mais le jacuzzi est plutôt une baignoire vu le dysfonctionnement de celui-ci qui ne masse pas du tout. Insonorisation très mauvaise. Le restaurant manque de personnel pour le petit déjeuner. Globalement restaurant décevant pour le petit déjeuner et le buffet du dîner.

The room was not available at 3pm when check in so could not use the pool and then when we did get our room we walked about 5 mins and the keys did not work so we had to go back to change them there were two beds put together but they kept moving and we both kept falling through the gap

The bathroom set up was bizarre ! You have to be 6ft tall to see in the small mirror and shower head was hopeless. Didn’t adjust .. and sprayed everywhere but on you !

From the moment I arrived I felt very welcomed and the staff couldn't do enough. The bungalow I stayed in was sublime - everything I needed and more...and approx 10 steps to the pool on one side, and 10 steps to the beach on the other side. My return flight wasn't until 9pm, and check-out is at 12 noon - however, they allow you to use the facilities and even have a shower and changing room so that you could freshen up after the day and before leaving for your flight - what a bonus! They also ordered the most perfect week of weather! LOL LOL AMAZING STAY - will definitely return!!! THANK YOU Barcelo Fuerteventura Castillo

The check in gime online says 2pm, once arrived the rude receptionist said it was 3pm, but the room still wasmt ready until 3 20pm Both air con units in the room were dripping water, shower head was missing, bathroom window didnt open properly, Usual people putting towels on sundeds in the morning to reserve them, the beach is 10.50 euros a day for 2 sunbeds, buffet food 7/10, But still enjoyed my stay, weather was great, beach was great,

What an amazing stay - staff all so helpful and cheerful. Any problems we had were sorted out efficiently and with our comfort in mind. Will definitely be returning again.

I thought that the property was well maintained and organised, positioned in an ideal spot to access Caleta De Fuste resort and / beach. I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to Junior Suite. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The Castle in the grounds gave the hotel a sense of grandness. Although the swimming pool was very cold, I did access it. I liked that my block (3) was very close to the pool and buffet restaurant. I liked that I could also eat in the other hotel and try various cuisines e.g. Mexican. My only improvement would be for the buffet food to be hotter than it was. I know in the Mediterranean there is a tendency not to have the food piping hot but that's my preference.

Disappointing and misleading experience I booked Barcelo Castillo Resort for our Christmas holiday, expecting a child-friendly experience based on its advertising, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. My 4-year-old was upset to find the princess/pirate room closed, the pools too cold to use, and no toys available in the Barcy Club. The children’s disco was poorly organized, held outdoors in the cold December evenings, making it very uncomfortable. The layout of the resort was inconvenient—long walks were required to reach any bar, restaurant, or the gym. Speaking of the gym, it was at the far end of the resort, shared with Barcelo Mar, and so overcrowded that exercising was impossible. The food in the restaurant was tasteless, often undercooked, and required multiple requests to have grilled items properly cooked. The bar offered a very limited drink selection. For Christmas night, we were charged triple the normal rate, and while the dinner was nice, it didn’t justify the price. The only benefit was access to the Barcelo Mar heated pool and children’s entertainment, but this required another long walk, which wasn’t practical every night with a tired toddler. Despite my repeated complaints, staff were unhelpful and didn’t address issues like the broken shower head that splashed water all over the bathroom. Overall, the experience was far below expecand wojld not recommend. Definetly not coming back here again.

Just returned from a terrible week at this hotel. Not 4* at all. The food is the same for lunch and dinner every day and overcooked but cold! Despite being on all inclusive spent the first 4 days arguing with staff to be able to get bottled water during the day - they prefer to give you warm water from a machine with ice cubes in. Only after complaining to the manager was I able to get bottled water. Both my partner and I were ill for the majority of the stay! Staff rude and miserable. Hardly any parasols and people having to bring suN loungers from their rooms to the pool as not enough to go around! I will be contacting their head office with my comments it was so bad!

Restaurant staff and food good, can’t fault that. Bar staff didn’t want to be there, rushed drinks and onto the next. Bars need tidying up, the harbour area is lovely, but the bar and entertainment area could be changed and made a lot nicer and certainly cleaner. All in all, I won’t stay again, there are better hotels out there.

Attention l’hôtel Barceló Castillo et collé au Barceló Mar les photos sur le sites sont trompeuses. Vous pouvez avoir accès au piscine du Barceló Mar mais pas à tout les restaurants. Cela dit le Barceló Castillo est très bien seul bémol aussi : il faut demander des chambres de 2000 à 4000 surtout celles qui commencent par 1000 car vous devrez traverser une route pour accéder à l’hôtel et les chambres sont loins.

Very nice see view, very good food. However there are multiple small things which need attention: deck outside was broken with screws sticking out (bit scarry when you travel with kid), faulty hairdryer, missing plug for hydromassage bath, sometimes houskeeping service did not left water or coffe capsulles and salty water in swimming pool (which we not expected)

This is a very good resort in a great location. You receive this flimsy card key to wear around your wrist. Either it stops working or it falls off. You need a better solution. I did half board and was not too happy with the food. I only eat meat. There was plenty of it but just not that good. My favourite food item was the made to order omelet at breakfast. In addition, at breakfast water is free. At dinner you are charged for water. In my opinion, this is an injustice. Overall, I would return to this resort, but would have my meals at local restaurants.

Very good hotel. Modern, clean. The only gripe we had was with the food. We had an all-inclusive package and lunches and dinner were not good. Food was very uninspiring. Every day pizza, pasta and perhaps one type of fish. Dessert was also not good, except the fresh fruit. We ended up eating out every day.

Insgesamt war die Anlage gut. Leider kann das Personal und auch das Management mit Problemen gar nicht umgehen. Sehr schade für eine so große Anlage. Das Essen im Hauptrestaurant ist leider sehr wenig abwechslungsreich. Es gibt fast immer dasselbe. die Qualität ist gut. Getränke werden bestellt und zum Tisch gebracht, es kommt nur leider fast niemand der sie Bestellung aufnimmt. Die Anlage per se ist wirklich sehr schön und der Bungalow war auch sehr gut. Trotz allem würde ich dem Hotel nur 3 Sterne geben.

I thought that the property was well maintained and organised, positioned in an ideal spot to access Caleta De Fuste resort and / beach. I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to Junior Suite. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. The Castle in the grounds gave the hotel a sense of grandness. Although the swimming pool was very cold, I did access it. I liked that my block (3) was very close to the pool and buffet restaurant. I liked that I could also eat in the other hotel and try various cuisines e.g. Mexican. My only improvement would be for the buffet food to be hotter than it was. I know in the Mediterranean there is a tendency not to have the food piping hot but that's my preference.

Just returned from a terrible week at this hotel. Not 4* at all. The food is the same for lunch and dinner every day and overcooked but cold! Despite being on all inclusive spent the first 4 days arguing with staff to be able to get bottled water during the day - they prefer to give you warm water from a machine with ice cubes in. Only after complaining to the manager was I able to get bottled water. Both my partner and I were ill for the majority of the stay! Staff rude and miserable. Hardly any parasols and people having to bring suN loungers from their rooms to the pool as not enough to go around! I will be contacting their head office with my comments it was so bad!
