Hotel Jefe at Ojos Locos

I loved everything about this little hotel/restaurants/casino combo. Everything was shiney! The parking lot is well lit, has security patrol and cameras. The halls in the hotel have cameras. The restaurant food is DELICIOUS! They welcomed my dogs and even provided a little fenced dog park. I didn't leave the property during my stay, there was no need to go anywhere else!

Great cost for a very nice, clean, and dog friendly hotel! They split dog friendly & non-dog people which was nice. We were pleased. If you seek the high end luxury go to strip but we were seeking nice, comfortable & dog friendly. We left very happy & will come back!

Check in was easy. And so was parking. I didn’t care there was only one way in and out, but I guess that was for safety reasons. I like the bar downstairs. I went almost every day. But I didn’t like that the pool was uncovered, so we would bake in the sun.

The attached Ojos Locos (slots only nublkly Casino & Willam Hill Mini-book is staffed with 2 great service writers daily & there’s kiosks available for placing wagers & cashing and déout afterhours too! (Some bigger wager tickets aren’t eligiblevtibbr llll depending upon the amount, so check W.H. site for further details) Also the POOL is NOW OPEN at the Hotel Jefe daily with accessibility through the 1st floor all the way at the end of the hallway m!;())’

I really like this place because it is conveniently located right off of the 15 in the Cheyenne exit in Las Vegas easily accessible to anywhere in town within minutes! The staff is very accommodating and friendly in the parking lot 24 hour guard with a feeling of good security and peace of mind when you stay there also the food and the entertainment in the adjoining Ojos Locos casino next-door is also phenomenal and a great place to watch a game or watch the girls lol! Leslie, they also have a William Hill sports book inside the casino, which is really cool if you’re in a betting mood! And the rooms are always very clean and well maintained, and they even have on-site clothes washers & driers for you yif you’re in need of doing some laundry! One of my favorite places to stay when Im in NLV!!!! Give them a try & I Promise you’ll be happy to say the same! Cheers! Mark S.

The hotel room was as expected. The hotel desk service was quick and super friendly. Bar service was the same. The music was way too loud for my old ears in the casino/bar.

Great lot & property security! Staff is friendly & always accommodating too! Highly recommended to stay here with confidence of a safe, clean, comfortable place to patronize in NLV! A+++

My room was not clean We slept in dirty stain sheets and I didn’t notice until the next day I told front desk about it and they seem like they didn’t care

stayed for 1 night. The hotel hallway needs new carpet. The room is ok for the price, very basic. shower is bad, need to change the shower head, tub does not drain properly. hallway smells like smoke.

The rooms were really clean! Only downside is walls are a bit thin. Other than that it was a good stay!

The bed and pillows were so comfy. The room was very nice. The front desk ladies were so friendly. Air conditioner work so good and appreciated it because it was Hot! The few recommendations is the elevator was very Hot and the carpet in room/ hallway was very dirty.

No mini fridge in the business suite

The whole hotel smells heavily of vapes and smoke, the checkin process is very slow, and the TV software is fairly glitchy.

The music noise into our room from the casino was terrible every night until 2am

You can here everything next to rooms..rooms need some kind of noise installation in the walls to not here conversations and more private

No coffee maker in room

Was traveling and needed a place for overnight and the price was cheap. The room was as plain as it could be. No microwave, coffee maker or even a blanket…just a sheet and cover. AC worked well, and the bed was soft which is all I cared about. Hot water and good pressure so I was clean and ready to move on. This is a 2 star or low 3 star place. Dingy halls and elevator. If you just need a place to crash, this works but no way I would stay for more than one night. Huge parking lot for trucks and people towing which is also what we needed

Friendly 24 hour check-in; very clean room; all good except very noisy neighbors on both sides of my room partying until after 2am so poor sleep even though bed was comfortable. No insulation whatsoever.

The hotel is in a good location for the North area, I was going to the speedway and it is 6 miles away. The casino has a good restaurant, but the waitresses don't all speak English. Rooms are clean - but the staff needs customer support training. Try to call them - no answer. The front desk mailbox does not work. My TV did not work the first night - they had no idea how to fix it. They called direct TV the next day and it was fixed. I got a call from someone on my stay before I got there - could not call them back - no extension given, and no one picked up the phone. Then I left some jeans and socks in a drawer - could you mail those back to me? Nope. Said they would hold them - I stayed at a hotel because I do no live there! Then they said they did not find them - the drawer was filled up because I stayed 5 days. Maid kept my clothes. So good property, but the staff does not know customer service. They should at least have phones that work - and they do not even try to fix them.

The walls are thin. Because it is also a casino, you get neighbors that are awake all night watching TV etc. Saturday turned out to be quietest night of the week. Volume of music is up in the dining and casino areas. I'm 68, too loud for me!

The rooms itself were pretty okay, but the property was pretty dirty and run down. The staff were not very welcoming and at check in just talked over me about a bunch of hidden fees. At check out, we had until 11:30am, but the staff started knocking on our door at 10:45am. At 11:10am someone else came knocking and we still weren’t out and then at 11:20am security came and OPENED THE DOOR and said we needed to leave??? We had until 11:30am and we had a late morning so I’m not sure why they continued to pester us before 11:30. I felt very rushed and each of the staff that came to do this was rude.

Terrible unfriendly customer service rude unhelpful staff. I’m from out of State traveling with family for the first time. The latina in the front desk will provide no friendly contact, no service information but want only your payment and go. All prepare yourself for rude service here to not be received or get greeted on by anyone working in the front desk. So, if you’re a person who takes things personal walk away and seek elsewhere... don’t wast your time and money here.

What happened to the check-in at 3:00 PM? Arrived at 4PM, room not ready. At 5:00 PM, room still not ready. This not only happened to me, but it happened to another guest who had gotten to the hotel at 2:30! Moral of the story is, if you want to get into your hotel room at Hotel Jefe at Ojos Locos, don't book here.

When I checked-in, they didn't have my reservation and they tried to toss me aside to help other guests. I demanded that they give me a room that I already paid for. The only reason they gave me a room was because I demanded it.

On July 26, 2025, my spouse and I arrived at Hotel Jefe, and the manager immediately and dismissively stated, "We have no availability," in a hostile tone, before we even had a chance to mention our reservation. Once we informed him that we had a booking, he then repeatedly told us that our room was "not ready." We waited for over an hour past the official check-in time of 3:00 PM. During this extended wait, we observed the same manager checking in other guests and, notably, accommodating a walk-in customer by finding them a room right away. This stark contrast in treatment, coupled with his initial hostile demeanor and refusal to acknowledge our reservation, felt deeply personal and discriminatory. We were ultimately forced to seek alternative, safer accommodation because the environment felt unwelcoming and prejudiced. We later contacted Expedia regarding this unacceptable situation, and they informed us that they had no policy in place to address such hostile or discriminatory encounters and would not provide a refund. This entire experience was distressing and unacceptable. The hotel's manager displayed severe unprofessionalism and apparent bias, and Expedia failed to support us in a critical situation. We strongly advise others to be aware of this concerning conduct.

Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

We stayed at this hotel for about three days. The room was very fresh. I love the decor. The Staff was very nice reasonable prices and then we could have a little fun down at casino within walking distance so I was very pleased with the experience and highly recommended

North Las Vegas easy access location before airport departure

I loved staying in the outskirts of Las Vegas! If you’ve been to Vegas before, you know how hectic being in downtown/old Vegas and the strip is. I recommend this hotel if you want a quieter area about 10/15 minutes away from all the partying! I was told by the many uber/lyft drivers that dropped me off and picked me up that the newer owners really spruced the building up a bit, renovated it, etc. and added the hotel?! Didn’t know that! Thought that was neat. The staff was friendly and rooms were clean. I like that is was cheaper than other hotels near downtown. I’ll be back! Side note: there’s isn’t breakfast provided in the mornings. However, it is attached to a casino/restaurant and there are plenty of food places to go to/door dash in the area.

The location is ok it is a little sketchy side of Vegas. The entrance into the hotel where the rooms are smell like cigarettes super bad. The rooms did not look like the picture beds where uncomfortable it was price friendly

The convenience to the freeway. I went to EDC it was a better option for me to stay here.

Great place for edc weekend! The speedway was only a 20 min drive there and back. I’ll defiantly get a room here again.

We enjoyed or stay, staff was helpfull, tv would not connect to internet. Other than that restaurant had a nice ambiance, servers were amazing!! Food not the best but drinks were delicious!

Food in the main restaurant was great, but the breakfast counter was not good. Breakfast sandwiches that were microwaved and cold in the middle and mine had a random piece of plastic unit.

Such a unique experience! Love how the hotel is integrated with a sports bar/restaurant and casino. And don't get me started on the waitresses haha... let's just say I've never seen outfits like those! Not complaining at all haha... just check their Instagram page if you don't believe me!

If you need a pet friendly place to stay that’s not too far from the strip or downtown Vegas this is a great place to stay. Good food and good looking girls in bikinis at the restaurant. Deff pointed more towards the Mexican culture but overall still great place to come and stay with your pets. Also they have smoking rooms 👍
