This type of design hotel that is well located and has only essential facilities for people who want to explore outside the hotel, is my favourite type of hotel. The dining area looks great and has a calming view to deer running around. There was a problem with the AC when we stayed with a slightly off smell, that had been fixed the next day, but the drinks were good and staff very nice.

Great hotel, just not very baby friendly. There isn't even a ramp to get into the hotel for stroller. My husband had to carry the stroller. The breakfast that was included was very beautiful but not much food. The rooms are nice and deer are right there. Their cafe was very good so you can enjoy food/drink while watching deer.

Very clean and tidy interior, lovely staff and comfortable quiet room. We were able to walk everywhere from the hotel, the main deer park is easily accessible and we walked to and from the station with a wheeled suitcase through the alleyways without too much issue. Would definitely return here.

The hotel lobby and dining area are quite nice and the staff are very polite and helpful. The bedroom was a little cramped, but typical for this price range in Japan. The bed was comfortable and the design very nice. However, I was disappointed with the room cleanliness as the vents in the bathroom were clogged with what looked like a large build up of dust or possibly mould, and there was a large build up of dust on the carpet in the corners. Accessing the hotel is also a bit weird as you have to go down a narrow road that looks like the entrance to a parking lot. I was hoping to be able to walk out into the park facing the hotel but it’s blocked by fences.

This is a lovely hotel in a fantastic location but it needs a little sprucing up. When we stayed here last year it was cleaner and had less scuffed paint. The terrace is beautiful. We didn’t have time for the breakfast the first day but when we tried to reserve a breakfast for the next morning I was told it was sold out. Lesson learned! Book ahead.

I paid extra money for the rooms with the view. I got rooms on the second floor, so the hill in front of the rooms blocked the view. I paid for the rooms with the view but there was a view of a big hill. Others also left reviews about the same problem. It's not worth spending money

Arrivée à 20h impossible d’avoir quelque chose à manger. Impossible d’avoir un pdj car pas réservé le matin. C’est normal j’ai fait une resa a 19h car l’autre hôtel réservé n’acceptait pas de rajouter un lit. On m’annonce qu’expédia (hôtels.com) a fait une erreur et que le lendemain on devra changer de chambre. J’ai demandé une compensation mais rien du tout même pas une boisson. Le lendemain matin donc hier j’envoie un message à l’hôtel pour réserver un pdj et ce matin nous arrivons au restaurant de l’hôtel et on me dit : non vous n’avez pas réservé hier… bref bref bref Que pouvez-vous faire comme cadeau à votre membre préféré? Merci et bonne journee

Staff all very helpful.with arranging to ship luggage, store bags until check-in. For some reason getting an early morning cup of coffee before 7:00a seemed an issue, but staff made an exception. Lovely breakfast on outdoor deck, quiet and peaceful. The enclosed onsen style bathing room was a treat.

Great location, staff were friendly, big spacious room. Western breakfast is not a western breakfast. When we found out what the breakfast was we tried to cancel the day before however we weren’t able to. Pumpkin soup and bread roll, cabbage and some broccoli is not a western breakfast.

The hotel ad restaurant are beautiful and the views amazing. The room was quiet and comfortable with great views. Th breakfast was very good. It was easy to drop off luggage and then check in later in the day.
